Issue when a standalone client invoke a method on an EJB

I do a simple ejb (like SayHello sample) and i create a standalone client that call one method of this EJB.
When i run the client i have the following error from the eclipse IDE (Error is thrown at lookup):

The eclipse IDE is runwith the option -vm D:\bea\jdk160_05\bin\java
In eclipse, i configure to use the same jdk.
When i execute the client outside eclipse, all is ok....
Do you have an idée ?
This is the ejb code :
package test;
public interface IHelloWorld {
public static final String JNDI_NAME = "HelloWorld";
public String sayHello( String name);
package test;
import javax.ejb.Remote;
import javax.ejb.Stateless;
import javax.ejb.TransactionAttribute;

import javax.ejb.TransactionManagement;
import javax.ejb.TransactionManagementType;
@TransactionManagement(TransactionManagementType.CONTAINER)
@TransactionAttribute(TransactionAttributeType.REQUIRED)
@Stateless( name="HelloWorld", mappedName= IHelloWorld.JNDI_NAME)
@Remote( IHelloWorld.class)
public class HelloWorld implements IHelloWorld
public String sayHello (String name) {
final String msg = "Hello " + name + ". The world is wonderfull...";
System.out.println ( msg);
return msg;
This is the client code :
package client;
import java.util.Hashtable;
import javax.naming.Context;
import javax.naming.InitialContext;
import test.IHelloWorld;
public class MainHello {
public static void main (String[] args) throws Exception
Hashtable<String, String> properties = new Hashtable<String, String> ();
properties.put (Context.INITIAL_CONTEXT_FACTORY, "weblogic.jndi.WLInitialContextFactory");
properties.put (Context.PROVIDER_URL, "t3://localhost:7001");
InitialContext ctx = new InitialContext( properties);
IHelloWorld hello = (IHelloWorld)ctx.lookup ( "HelloWorld#test.IHelloWorld");
String result = hello.sayHello ( "franck");
System.out.println ( result);
ctx.close ();
As you can see it is very simple but doesn't work inside eclipse IDE...

Oracle software purchases come with a CSI number that allows customers to have people contact support for products they own. If you or the organization you are working with has not purchased the product or have other support arrangements with Oracle (some partners have this), then you probably will not be able to obtain the patch from Oracle.
You might be able to try a newer release of the product with an OTN evaluation license, WebLogic Server is currently on version 10.3.3, so you are at least 3 releases behind at this point if you are using 10.3.0.

    What may be causing this exception.

    I have solved the problem. It had to do with the autocommit=true feature of the MYSQL connection. However I have ran into another trouble. I am getting the following exception.

  • Lookup form standalone client  fails with java.lang.ClassNotFoundException

    Hi,
    I have an issue under Weblogic 11g when a standalone client tries to lookup for an ejb deployed in an ear.

  • Problem while invoking webservice-method in client-code

    Hi,
    I had written webservice-client-code (using uddi-ext.jar, as i am using uddi for publishing webservices.) which is invoking webservice method successfully with complex datatypes(both for return type and input paramters).
    But while calling following webservice-method from my client-code:
    public ComplexType[] getData(String[] p_str1, String[] p_str2)
    it is throwing exception
    The Exception is:
    [ERROR] - 27 Mar 2007 12:34:38 -failed to invoke operation 'getData' due to an error in the soap layer (SAAJ); nested exception is: Message[failed to deserialize xml:weblogic.xml.schema.binding.DeserializationException: mapping lookup failure. type=['java:language_builtins.lang']:ArrayOfString schema context=TypedSchemaContext{javaType=[Ljava.lang.String;}]
    Although I had done correct registration of mapping of ArrayOfString in client-code:
    registry = m_Service.getTypeMappingRegistry();
                   m_TypeMapping = registry.getTypeMapping(SOAPConstants.URI_NS_SOAP_ENCODING );
                   m_TypeMapping.register( ArrayOfStringHolder.class,
    new QName( "java:language_builtins.lang", "ArrayOfString" ),
    new ArrayOfStringCodec(),
    new ArrayOfStringCodec());
    But some how it doesnt works.
    I had searched on google as well but didnt find any reliable solutions.
    Please advice.

  • Invoke a method when Close Window is clicked

    Can someone please help.

    Is it possible to change the settings so that when the red 'close' button is clicked, the application will hide instead of closing?
    Applications don't "close," windows do. If you are just closing windows but not quitting applications that opened them, it is no wonder that there are hundreds of apps in the Dock.
    A few apps like System Preferences have only one window, so they automatically quit when you close that one window. Most apps do not do this: even after all their windows are closed, they remain running & thus show up in the Dock, in Activity Monitor, & so on. They each require a little (or sometimes more than a little) real memory reserved for their use to remain running -- this subtracts from what is available to do useful tasks, & will slow down your Mac when it results in too much virtual memory use.
    Thus, it is a good idea to quit applications you don't have an immediate need for, especially if they don't require long startup times. If you want easy access to select applications, create a folder & fill it with aliases to those apps, then drag that folder to the right side of the Dock, where it will create a stack. When opened, the stack will allow one click launching of those apps.

  • Client Communication Issues when attempting to retire old ADCS Certificate Authority

    Hi,
    SCCM 2012 R2 running on 2008R2. Single site.
    We've been migrating our environment to a new SHA2 Microsoft CA and we're seeing issues when attempting to retire our old SHA1 CA server.
    We've had a fully functioning PKI integrated SCCM environment for some time. No issues. All our clients have client certificates deployed via group policy.
    We've spun up a new CA and installed new SHA2 distribution point and webserver certificates on the SCCM server.
    We have added the new Root CA certificate to the trusted list in the site properties (both are now listed)
    We have confirmed that new machine builds are receiving SHA2 client computer certificates via group policy.
    Everything runs happily with the two CA servers configured and running. We would like to retire the old CA server but when we shut it down we find that all older clients (with the SHA1 cert) stop communicating with the management point.
    Clients with the newer SHA2 computer certs continue to function. We assumed that the old CA server didn't have to be running for the SHA1 certs to still function. Are we incorrect?
    Anyone able to explain what's happening?
    Cheers!

    Hi Jason,
    No, we don't have CRL checking enabled in the SCCM site settings. As I understand it that tells the clients to check the site server against the CRL?
    We think the issue is due to IIS attempting to check the client certificates against the CRL on the old CA (which is currently turned off)
    For now we've temporarily disabled CRL checking in IIS while we attempt to migrate the old CRL to the new CA. All our clients are now talking happily to the management point.
    All good. Cheers.

  • Can I invoke instance method using JNI pointer

    Hi,
    In my work, I need to pump data from dll to my java application.. for this I came to the following workaround.
    1. Created a static method with (printMe()) in my java class (GrabTest.java)
        public static int count = 5;
        public static int printMe(int a)
            System.out.println("result printMe : " + a);
            return count--;
        }2. Invoked this class object in dll side as follows
         jclass cls = env->FindClass("GrabTest");
         jmethodID mid = env->GetStaticMethodID(cls, "printMe", "(I)I");
         jint count = env->CallIntMethod(cls, mid, 10);
         cout<<"Count =" <<count<<endl;This works fine, i able to invoke the static method of GrabTest class from dll and I can pass an int value from there.
    I tried to call a not static method which in GrabTest.java, from dll as follows
            jmethodID mid2 = env->GetMethodID(cls, "printMe", "(I)I");
         jint counter = env->CallIntMethod(cls, mid2, 10);
         cout<<"Counter =" <<counter<<endl;when I try to invoke the instance method from dll, my application get crashes.
    So, I would like know,
    1. Is there any other way to pump data from dll side to the client application,
    2. If i go with the static method to pump the data from dll, weather the other values of class variables of my GrabTest will give problem?
    Looking for your guidance on this issue.

    I think i have clearly mentioned that "Tell me any way in doing this invocation in BCEL not in Reflection."
    Why i not want to use reflection because it have "invocation overhead"Wrong.
    If I dynamically load a class and reference it via a interface there is absolutely no difference in that and if I referenced the class statically and used it via an interface. The load and use process is exactly the same.
    And the first uses "reflection".
    If you use a proxy interface via something like java.lang.reflect.Method
    then of course there is some overhead because there is in fact more classes involved. Just as if you had any other layer in any other code.
    And even so unless you have actually profiled the application and found an actual bottleneck (and not just a measured impact) then even looking at it is a waste of time.
    If it was me I would be far more concerned that inserting byte codes was correct for all cases.

  • Unable to use Datasource.cfc in Admin API - The current user is not authorized to invoke this method

    Hi Everyone,
    I am having some issues accessing the methods in the datasource.cfc in the adminAPI.
    I can successfully load the administrator CFC and am told that I have successsfuly logged in;
    But when I try to subsequently load the datasource.cfc I get an error that the current user is unable to access the method.
    /* Create an Admin API object and call the login method */
                                                      var local = {};
                                                      local.adminObj = createObject("component", "cfide.adminapi.administrator");
                                                      /* Enter your password for the CF Admin */
      /* if you dump this - TRUE is returned */
                                                      local.adminObj.login(adminPassword="my_admin_user_password");
                                                      /* Create an object of datasource component */
                                                      local.dsnObj = createObject("component", "cfide.adminapi.datasource");
      writeDump(local.dsnObj.getDataSources());
    I tried creating separate admin users and passwords - yhinking that perhaps a revent hotfix had stopped the "admin" user from being allowed to use the adminAPI - but changing to a new adminuser yielded the same results.
    I could login to the admin API with the new username and passsword - but could not access the datasource.cfc after that.
    Here is the debug output from the error...
    The current user is not authorized to invoke this method.

    This perspn seems to be having the same issue;

    and I agree I don't have "E" drive either!

    I've found a solution to my plight - I don't know if it'll work for you or help you try something that MAY fix it.
    I use a common code set which includes the Application.cfc from a CF Mapping - So, in the application.cfc in the actual website I do this:-
    <cfinclude template="/UberDirectory/Application.cfc">
    Then, in the /UberDirectory/Application.cfc, I was initialising a CFC which checks if the datasource was created for the website. The datasource checking code attempts to log into the Admin API and check & create if necessary the datasource.
    This has previously worked without fail for me - But in this instance it failed!! I was doing two things wrong - Firstly, the CFC should only be called in the Application.cfc in the onRequestStart section as the Application had to be initialised first - This is maybe because I've invoked the application.cfc in a "non-standard" manner.
    Secondly, once I'd moved the CFC invocation into oNRequestStart I saw the following error:-
    The string COOKIE.CFAUTHORIZATION_uber-directory is not a valid ColdFusion variable name.
    I had this as the app name .... <cfset this.name = 'uber-directory'>
    Changedthe dash to an underscore and I was away and could once again check the datasources
    Hope it helps

  • Error while invoking ContactQueryPage method from contact.wsdl

    Hi All,
    Could any one provide me the java client for OnDemand webservice (contact.wsdl). I want to query ContactQueryPage operation.
    I am facing some problem while making a call. I am trying with both Axis call as well as ContactStub. but its not working in either way.
    Here is the snnipet I am using to invoke a method using ContactStub
    String endpoint = "https://secure-ausomxdsa.crmondemand.com/Services/Integration;"+jessionId;
                   ContactStub stub = new ContactStub(endpoint);
                   ContactWS_ContactQueryPage_Output queryOutput = null;
                   ContactWS_ContactQueryPage_Input queryInput = new ContactWS_ContactQueryPage_Input();
                   ListOfContact listOfContact = new ListOfContact();
                   Contact contact = new Contact();
                   queryInput.setListOfContact(listOfContact);
                   queryInput.setUseChildAnd("Contact");
                   queryInput.setPageSize("10");
                   queryInput.setStartRowNum("1");
                   queryOutput = stub.ContactQueryPage(queryInput);
    When I run the program..I get following exception :
    org.apache.axis2.AxisFault: com.ctc.wstx.exc.WstxUnexpectedCharException: Unexpected character '"' (code 34) in DOCTYPE declaration; expected a space between public and system identifiers
    Can any one help me out. Its needed urgently.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Sanjay

    Hi !
    From what I see, the only problem is the setUseChildAnd function which is waiting for a true or false argument and not a char...
    Hope this will help, feel free to ask more !

  • Odata JDBC Service: getting NullPointerException: while trying to invoke the method

    Hi,
    I am testing OData, for that I followed the steps given in this tutorial:
    http://scn.sap.com/community/developer-center/mobility-platform/blog/2014/06/10/creating-an-odata-service-based-on-sap-gateway-soap-jdbc-and-jpa-data-sources-ba
    It wasn't working as it should, so to understand it better, I created a new project with Stock table only.
    Manually entered all it's properties and then deploy it.
    Issue1: when I create a JDBC connection to connect with derby database, The driver field has maximum limit and whole driver string is not copied. Attached is the screen shot.
    Where as I need to enter: org.apache.derby.jdbc.ClientDriver.
    Issue 2: I can't test the connection from here, weather it's working fine or not ?
    Issue 3:
    When I deploy the project and test the result, I get the Stock Service, But when I try to run this, I get nullpointer exception.
    URL: http://localhost:8080/gateway/odata/sap/WSTest1;v=1
    Response:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
    <service xml:base="http://localhost:8080/gateway/odata/sap/WSTest1;v=1/" xmlns="http://www.w3.org/2007/app" xmlns:atom="http://www.w3.org/2005/Atom">
      <workspace>
       <atom:title>Default</atom:title>
       <collection href="StockSet">
       <atom:title>StockSet</atom:title>
       </collection>
      </workspace>
    </service>
    Now I need to run StockSet, so next url to access the stock list,
    to get stocks:
    http://localhost:8080/gateway/odata/sap/WSTest1;v=1/SAP/StockSet
    Now I get the following response:
        <?xml version="1.0" ?>
        <error xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/ado/2007/08/dataservices/metadata">
        <code>
        </code>
        <message xml:lang="en">java.lang.NullPointerException: while trying to invoke the method java.lang.Object.hashCode() of a null object loaded from local variable 'k'</message>
        </error>
    I am not able to figure out, why I am getting this error and how to fix it.
    All I want is to create a ODAta on ESPM_STOCK sample table given in example.
    Looking forward to hear from you.
    Thanks.

    Issue1: when I create a JDBC connection to connect with derby database, The driver field has maximum limit and whole driver string is not copied. Attached is the screen shot.
    Are you working on SMP3.0 (lower version than SP03)?
    If yes, then there is character restriction in SMP3.0 (SP00, SP01), maximum length for a database driver is 25 characters.
    e.g. if driver name is oracle.jdbc.driver.OracleDriver but when you enter this, then you will see onlyoracle.jdbc.driver.Oracle
    Until unless we pass the correct driver value things will not work. there is a workaround for this. You create a desitnation with restricted character length.
    You would be seeing a property file for each created destination underC:\SAP\MobilePlatform3\Server\config_master\service.destinations\destinations
    Go there and open the created "OracleDB" and edit the "DriverName" to the full string:oracle.jdbc.driver.OracleDriver
    Please go through this blog for more understanding:
    http://scn.sap.com/community/developer-center/mobility-platform/blog/2014/01/09/how-to-connect-an-oracle-db-with-integration-gateway-in-smp3
    Note: seems this problem has been resolved in SMP3 SP03
    Issue 2: I can't test the connection from here, weather it's working fine or not ?
    I didnt find a way to test a destination. So you have to be sure about what all values you are entering.
    Once you are done with Destination creation, map it to the respective deployed service under "services" tab.
    Issue 3: When I deploy the project and test the result, I get the Stock Service, But when I try to run this, I get nullpointer exception
    Make sure you have corrected "Database driver" name manually. And then check if you are facing same issue.
    Does this URL expect any input parameters?
    http://localhost:8080/gateway/odata/sap/WSTest1;v=1/SAP/StockSet
