Issue while changing fields in a fillable form PDF (Acrobat 10.1.4 Pro)

Good Afternoon!
This is my first time posting here, so forgive me if this is in the wrong place.
I am an IT technician trying to support a user who is trying to change a PDF into a fillable form using Acrobat 10.1.4. She is trying to use the wizard as shown in the image below:
When she uses this function, Acrobat goes through and automatically detects all possible fields and creates them for her. Below is an image of the result:
What she is trying to do is change some of the field types - specifically, she wants to change the box next to "Adult/non-college request" to a check box. She right clicks on this field to change it, and when she does, Acrobat simply closes. No error comes up, and she is not given the option to save the document - when she opens it again, it is an ordinary PDF. In addition, if she creates the form, and then only tries to save the form (without trying to change the fields), Acrobat again simply closes itself. However, she is able to manually create fillable fields if she does not use the wizard at all, and the document functions normally.
Any help with this issue would be most appreciated.

Save early and often.
I would save the result right after the wizard has made its errors.
One needs to delete the form field and then manually add the correct type of field. If you want that check box and the next to be mutually exclusive, one gives them the same name and sets the export value for each check box to a unique value.
I edit forms by opening the "Tools => Forms => Edit fields".
How to create editable PDF form fields
I do not like the wizards and create forms by adding all form fields manually according to my planned form design.

How to correct fields in a fillable form?

I have created a form that has approximately 70 check boxes. The fillable form is showing them as text boxes. Is there an easy way to convert them to check boxes without having to create new fields for each entry?

Ok! I think I've got the hang of how to edit and distribute the form. I see that Adobe records user responses, is there some way to block this feature?
For my purposes, I really just need to send the fillable form as an email attachment to users, have the users enter and save their responses into the form, and then have them send the modified form back to me as an email attachment.

Image field error on fillable form

Hi folks, how are you doing?
I'm facing a weird problem. My form is getting crazy when I pass the parameter FILLABLE = 'X' on SFP_DOCPARAMS table.
At the beginning, I had a watermark on the master page that was working well. But I needed to put a signature field and this field requires an interactive form, right?
So, when I passed the value "X" to the FILLABLE parameter, the image field(watermak) overlapped the content of my text fields and there's nothing that I'm doing that do it work again.
PS: I just need that the signature field being open to the user sign it. The other fields must be closed.
Can anyone help me please?

In the ADDT Control Panel, swtich Debugging Mode to Development , this show you more information about the error.
Check this:
Give the upload destinantion folder permission 777, sub folders created for thmb too (on the host server). If works ok in localhost, must be this reason.
Check the value of max file size you put in the upload wizard.
Check extensions you allow (jpg, gif, png, jpeg, etc).
Check the table field where you store the image name is ok ( for example, not numeric type).
Check if the table where you store the image name and data exist in the host.
Paste error here to see more detalis ( error in development mode debugging).

Issue while updating field SCHZU (shift Premium) in table view V_T508A

I am facing an issue while updating the field SCHZU(Shift premium) in Table view V_T508A.For some WSR entries when i am trying to update the shift premium say with a value 19400,the value is accepted.However for some other WSR entries,the value for shift premium gets modified to 19.400.Can someone please let me know why this error is occuring and how to rectify the same.

I use Place Multiple Fields when creating fillable forms.

Is there a way calculations can be updated? I would love to not have to go into every calculating field to re-set each calculation to the updated field names (there are 250 calculating fields). Any tips?

It's possible, but you need to use a custom calculation script that takes the target field name and extrapolates the names of the other fields from it, and then uses their values in the calculation.

Changing the default setting for forms in Acrobat 9

When I go into forms in Acrobat 9 and use a Word doc to convert to a form the default boxes created initially are text. IS there a way to change the default so the initial boxes created by the program are checkboxes?

No, you have no direct control over how the Form Wizard behaves. There are things you can do with the design of the source document that can influence how automatic field recognition works. For example:

Saving a Fillable Form PDF in Illustrator

I have a fillable form field PDF that I need to open in illustrator, edit(insert artwork), save as, and have it still have the fillable form feilds in reader and acrobat.

Once you have edited the artwork re-save as pdf. Open your fillable form field pdf and choose Document - "replace form". Choose the NEW pdf and you should have the old fields with the new artwork.

Issue while reflecting the data to ADF form from ADF Table

I have one scenario as follows:
I have to open a form in entry mode. So I have used a Method Call activity in task flow to call "Create" in method call activity.
Then form opens in a entry mode. I have a adf table in the page showing the entered data.
When form opens in entry mode, instead of entering the values in the field User selects a record in ADF table, but due to the create mode of the form it will through me a error to fill mandatory fields.
Please tell me the way so that if user selects the record(in adf table) instead of entering new record, the value would reflect in the Adf form.
If I use a roll back on selecting the row of ADF table, then it is showing me this error "Row currency has changed since the user interface was rendered. The expected row key was oracle.jbo.Key[null ]" because there will be no row key in the cache when form opens.
Please suggest me the way to complete the task.
I am using jdeveloper 11.1.2.1.0

no no your are complicating yourself. :) better your should provide your usecase.
first thing: go through the books & also adf blogs learn and understand the framework. as above person said.
i hope that you had method call create as activity as default while page rendering it make your af: form empty(that is ready fir insertion format).
so if your are doing like that.am sure it will throw some mandatory errors.
error will not resolve unless without entering any data's.
coming af:table why are using af:table - immediate = true / false(switching).
immediate = true - skip over validation or by pass some validation in some phase - based on the component which you are using. (say as if you are using editable value holder,af:coomand button).

Issue while changing Item Category during Sales Order Creation

Hi,
Requirement:
Requirement is to change the item category of Sales Order item while creating the sales order.
Rule is: If item category is IRAT then it should be changed to IRLN.
For this, I am using the user exit "USEREXIT_SAVE_DOCUMENT_PREPARE" available in the include MV45AFZZ.
Issue:
Using the above mentioned exit, Item category is getting changed to the desired value in the created sales order BUT value of Billing Status (VBUP-FKSAA) which is supposed to get changed is blank.
For example, Sales order is created from VA01 and item category is changed manually to the value mentioned above, then for the sales order created we have VBUP-FKSAA = 'A'. But when value of Item category is not changed manually and it is changed from the exit, then value of VBUP-FKSAA is blank.
I have to find a solution which would change the value of Billing Status according to the change in the value of Item Category.
Please suggest a relevant solution.

I have a simmilar problem. In my case I am changing Reason of Rejection in the user-exit, but net value is not getting updated. Did you solve your problem? Any other way to change a field of a sales order item?

Is there a way to change field names globally in Form Wizard?

Form Wizard often selects nearby text to create a name for a text box. Is there a way I can globally change the field name for a series of text boxes? For instance, I have a field name that Form Wizard created that says "Policy NumberPolicy that requires a specific" and I want it to be simply "Policy Number."
If there is no way to fix it globally, is there a way to prevent it happening in the first place?
Also, is there a way to automatically convert a text box to a check box?

Unfortunately, the answer to all of your questions is no. The closest you can come is to use a script to create a new field with a new name that has most of the same properties as the old field, and then delete the old field, but you'd have to find some way of deciding which fields shold be changed. You do not have any control over the form wizard apart from changing the PDF so it has a different design/layout. Converting a text field to a check box wold have to use the approach metioned earlier, but you'd have the same problem of determining which ones to change.

Dunning form - change field data in STD form

Dear all,
I have a request for dunning form (ex.F150_DUNN_01).If I want to get data which can't get from table/structure MHND,F150x(ex. Sales order).I want to make a code in text element like:

I know that you can't do a SELECT statement in the sapscript form. You can however do a PERFORM statement.
You can call a subroutine of a program passing values to it and getting values back out.
In the sapscript.....
/:   PERFORM 'NOT_PICKED' IN PROGRAM 'ZSD_RVADIN01'
/:   USING &VTRLK-VBELN&.
/:   USING &VTRLP-POSNR&
/:   CHANGING &WK_NOT_PICKED&

Issue while changing validity date for assigned roles: SAP IDM 7.2 SP8

Hello Experts
I assigned the Task on repository for validity modification for Roles as in below screenshot:
When I modify the role validity, Task defined for Validity modification doesnt get triggered and IDM executes the tasks defined as Modify Task and fails with below errors:
1. Could not obtain repository name from Pending object.
2. Error ! Audit id , Variable doesnt exist in MXPT_GET_ENTRYTYPE.
I tried checking provisioning audit logs but could'nt find any Audit ID created for validity modification and I guess due to this tasks are getting cancelled.
Why the task defined in Modify Valdity tasks doesnt get triggered when I modify the Role assignment validity ?
Am I doing anything wrong with the SAP Standard way of working ?

We are also facing a similar issue in our project where modifying validity of the role does not trigger any task. We then changed the Modify attribute(in task tab) on the priveleges to "inhereted".
The modify task is now triggered and completes successfully. However, no changes occur in backend.
We need unedrstand where do we maintain the setting to define which attributes(if changed) will trigger an event task in the provisioning framework. the "check attributes modification" task within the provisioning framework executes the below query:
select COUNT(VarName) from mxpv_audit_variables where AuditID=%AUDITID% and VarValue='%MSKEY%' and VarName='MARK_EXEC_MODIFY_ATTR%MSKEY%'
The query gives the result as "False" in case we only modify the validity of the role assigned to user. Thus no event tasks are executed for the same.
Can anyone please share where do we define the attributes for this query to give "True" as result for role validity modification.

Performance Issue while changing a characteristic using CT04 transaction

Hi Experts,
Just now we have upgraded our system from 4.6C to ECC 6.0. In the new system we have created some characteristics and later I am trying to change these characteristics using transaction CT04 .
There are some characteristics which are already present in the new system which has come from 4.6 C. Now when I try to open/change these characteristic (already existing) using CT04 it does not take any time where as if I try to open/change a characteristic which is created newly in ECC 6.0, then it takes a lot of time.
When I run SQL trace for both the scenario, then I find that most of the time taken is on Query on table PLFV.
Trace Result for Newly Created Characteristic :
115 PLFV PREPARE 0 SELECT WHERE "MANDT" = :A0 AND "ATINN"
= :A1 AND "LOEKZ" = :A2 AND ROWNUM <= :A3
3 PLFV OPEN 0 SELECT WHERE "MANDT" = '070' AND "ATINN" =

For this time taken is 336681733 .
Trace Result for Existing Characteristic :

ATINN" = 0000000575 AND "LOEKZ" = ' ' AND ROWNUM <= 1
For this time taken is 2.
Here one difference I see is that for the Newly created characteristic, Prepare, Open and Fetch part is executed where as for the already existing query only Open is executed.
The program which is used for querying PLFV is SAPLCMX_TOOLS_CHARACTERISTICS.

Thanks for the response. But the problem which I mentioned is not with all the characteristics. It occurs only with those characteristics which are newly created. The characteristics which are already created are opened without any delay.
So I am bit confused whether for this problem there would be be any note though I tried searching the same as well.
