Issue while signing a jar using RSA certificate

Hi,
I am trying to sign a java applet using trusted certificate with the help of Java keytool and jarsigner of JRE1.6. For this I have followed the following steps:
1.Generated key pair in a keystore - keytool -genkeypair -keyalg RSA -alias eaikey -keystore eaikeystore -validity 3650 -keysize 2048
2.Generated CSR using command keytool -certreq -alias eaikey -file eaicert.csr -keystore eaikeystore and send the .csr file to the CA
3.CA has returned the certificate reply (.cer file)that contained a root certificate
4.When I tried to import the certificate using command keytool -import -file eaicert.cer -alias eaicertkey -keystore eaikeystore to keystore, initially it gave me error as Input not an X.509 certificate.So I opened the .cer file in my text editor and removed the texts before the Begin And End Certificate.Then it got imported correctly by running the
5.When I tried to sign the jar using command jarsigner application.jar eaicertkey -keystore eaikeystore
it gave the exception as jarsigner: Certificate chain not found for: eaicertkey. eaicertkey must reference a valid KeyStore key entry containing a private key and corresponding public key certificate chain.
Please help me with the step I am missing here.I doubt I am doing something wrong in the import step.

Perhaps you are using old WLST code (used for OSB 10g), with OSB 11g.

Error while signing data-Private key or certificate of signer not available

Hello All,
I am new to PI. I am currently stuck with an issue. The scenario is as explained below.
We need to check for the service availability before processing the data. So, we test for the RFC connection first from the ECC system. During this process, we access the digital certificate stored in the PI system so that it can be validated and allowed to consume this intended service.
Error :
When we trigger the RFC test from the ECC system, we get an error stating ' Error while signing data - Private key or certificate of signer not available '. But when we test the same functionality within PI system(Locally), we does not encounter any such error. The certificate is maintained and it appears fine.
The communication channels are stored with logon credentials.
Can anyone please help me with this error or provide your valuable inputs. Thanks in advance.

When we trigger the RFC test from the ECC system, we get an error stating ' Error while signing data - Private key or certificate of signer not available '.
This should be normal behavior since the certificates are not installed in ECC SSL folders of Strust. Why not just install the certificates in the ECC system, perform an ICM restart and do a retest? After all, the certificates would both be the same in PI and ECC.

we are facing issues while processing the BOMs using the basic type(Z-idoc type) for standard type BOMMAT04.
thing is that the segment 'E1STPOM' is defined to contain 1 to 99999 records in it.
when an Idoc is run(say with 150/200 segments of 'E1STPOM'), there was a standard error with error message id PIC01(number : 004) when the Idoc is processed with the Standard function module 'CSAP_MAT_BOM_MAINTAIN'.
the error says 'Error reading material FING_005 . Exception: 0' and Check whether the material number is blocked. but when checked, the Material seems not blocked.
kindly advise how to overcome this error and proceed further.

Error while signing a document using API

Hello. I'm using API functions to add a digital signature to a PDF document. While signing this document, I receive an error which looks like:
com.adobe.livecycle.signatures.client.types.exceptions.PDFOperationException: ALC-DSS-303-001 Could not sign Signature Field MyField (in the operation : sign)
Caused By: ALC-DSS-303-014 Subject name and the subject alt name missing. (in the operation : getSignerName)
My source code is a straight copy/paste from the SDK Help. I can successfully add an unsigned signature field using API call, but I can't sign it. I can also sign my document manually from Adobe Acrobat Professional using the same certificate.
I'm new in LiveCycle and digital signatures, so it might be some obvious reason that I just can't detect now.
Could anyone help me, please?

There were warnings or errors while signing the jar - webutil

As oracle 10g comes with webutil, i am now trying to configure it with jocob and trying to run webutil_demo form, but I am getting bean not found error, I searched many forums but could not resolve my problem, everything seems to be at its place, but I am also getting error when i try to sign jacob.jar and webutil.jar files.
First is it necessary to sign these files if yes then what cause will be preventing it to be signed.
I am using forms AS 10.1.2, JRE 1.6, on Windows XP,

Issues while generating the output(using VF02- header- output)

Hi Group,
I have issues while generating output using the tcode VF02.
the issue is that, I have got an output type which is configured for the medium "Special Function" and the o/p program generates PDF depending on certain criteria.
now, when I try to "repeat output" option to generate output again, I was getting errors. it works sometimes by choosing the option "Successfully processed" then selecting the record and then saving it. if I do the same thing again, the output make be running into error or success, it is varying everytime.
I am not able to understand why the process is not working correctly, when doing the "Repeat output" option on the "Successfully processed" record, the system is giving error instead of a Successful message. it is succeeding once and sometimes not.
Kindly let me know your inputs if you have encountered same kind of issue.

when I checked the configuration part of the o/p type I am currently processing, I could see that, in customizing part of this o/p type, there was a checkbox for Multiple Issuing - which is not checked.
when it is not checked, it should not be possible to run the o/ps for multiple times, but when I tried to generate o/ps again and again, in a few attempts I could to generate the PDFs and in some cases not. I don't know why there is no relevance for this check box Multiple Issuing.
Could you please let me know why this issuing of o/p is working in some occassions and not working work sometimes, which is having the configuration of checkbox Multiple Issuing - not being checked.

Issue while opening webi reports using OpenDoc url in Chrome browser

We are in SAP BI4.0 SP7. We are facing weird issue while opening the webi report via OpenDoc url in chrome. we are facing the below issue only in chrome and it works perfectly in IE and Firefox.
For the first time the report gets opened properly(when a session is created). If we try to open the same report from the same machine in a different browser tab, report gets opened up without any Tables\charts. We could see only a blank page with just the Report Tab name at the bottom. If we do refresh on the page, the report opens up correctly. We have checked for packet drops and there is no such thing. Is there any setting that we should make to resolve this. Your help is appreciated.

first thing is to check is if your chrome version is supported by your current BO version as specified in the PAM (is it?). If the chrome version is supported, and you still have an issue, then you can check with a sap support engineer.

Issue while Signing and Encrypting the PDF Document.

Hello,
I am developing one component in VC++(MFC) which signs and encrypts the pdf documents.
When i sign and encrypt pdf document using my component, I am getting following error while opening the document in Adobe Acrobat
Error during signature verification
Unexpected byte range values defining scope of signed data.
Details: The signature byte range is invalid
But if i open that document in binary mode and calculate the byte range its looking correct.
The Process for signing and encrypting the PDF document is as follows :
1)Prepare the PDF document for signing (Add Annotation objects,n0,n2
layers,create blank signature field,new xref section etc.)
2)Encrypt the whole document(Password based encryption).
3)Put the ByteRange values.
4)Write the signature in blank signature field.
If i just perform encryption(128 bit RC4 Algorithm) on the pdf document its working fine.Only after adding the signature objects i am getting above error.I think it means something is wrong in signature related objects,but i am not able to recognize the exact problem.
So what can be the issue?

I have already tried this before and this not work too, but strange that even if I use JDBC:ODBC bridge driver, the return value for output parameters are not correct, that is, only return the value that I input but not the value after executed in the procedure....

Decimal Issue while posting annual salary using HCM P&F

Hello All
We are facing a strange problem while updating the Annual Salary of Infotype 0008 using HCM P&F. User in the form can enter a wage type amount, based on this wage type amount the annual salary is getting calculated by the std. way.
Now the problem here is, say we are passing Hourly wages as 55.000 USD3, the annual salary should have been updated as 114400.00 USD (i.e. 55 * 2080 Hours Annually). But after the posting when we see the annual salary amount it is displayed as 11440.00 USD (Strange!! It is divided by 10 ). But the wage type amount is properly displayed as 55.000 USD3 in PA20. All the other infotypes are updated correctly with the new pay structure and work schedule details correctly.
Appreciate your help, if any of you have come across this issue before.

Been down this road before.
Pretty much it is exactly as said....decimal for currency issue. Some currencies use 2 decimal places...some use 4...and better yet, SAP allows you to even configure your own if needed.
Now, how did WE solve this. We tore apart (debugging) the actual code SAP uses in PA30 when showing/editting/updating Basic Pay. You will see in there how they work the "magic". Oddly.....the look at the decimal setting, multiply it out in the background to store correctly but pull a "switch-a-roo" on the front end to display it correctly as the user would expect (ie 4 decimals for example). It's pretty crazy stuff.
But we got it working....via code in our own generic service......and it worked like a charm.

Confirmation Quantity issue while creating Sales order using BAPI

Can anyone of you help mein the below issue:
I have a program to create a sales order using upload file. for this i use "BAPI_SALESORDER_CREATEFROMDAT2" & for changing existing "BAPI_SALESORDER_CHANGE".
Now If the upload file contains the Same Material, Based on other conditions, it needs to create Multiple sales order.
When the first Salesorder is created, the Quantity is getting confirmed (Confirmed quantity VBEP-BMENG). But during actual run, since the confirmation is getting done for the same material in the above Sales order, the confirmation is not being done in the subsequent Sales order".
This poses a problem for business, user need to manual refresh the u201Cconfirmed quantity for each line item in the particular SO where it failed during program upload.
Also while uploading using the BAPI, if we wait forsometime after creating the first sales order in Debug, then the above material is unlocked & the confirmation quantity is done for the subsequent sales order also.
But in the actual run, this is creating a problem. Some Refresh or Unlocking problem.
Can you please suggest a suitable solution for this issue.

Issue while importing the dump using impdp

**command:**
While iam using to import the dump with below command iam facing an issue as below,
impdp pdol2/pdol2@DOLPHDB directory=NEW_IMPORT_DIR table
existsaction=TRUNCATE EXCLUDE=statistics dumpfile=exportTDOLPHIN2_30062011_pre
batch_%u.dmp remap_schema=dolphin2:pdol2 logfile=exportTDOLPHIN2_30062011_pdol2.
log parallel=1 transform=oid:n
