Issue with generic extraction (Generic Delta)

I have one more issue with Generic Delta Extraction. Here I selected the field related to my requirement but when I am trying to save I am getting error Still OLTP have errors.
I need some help when we select generic delta wht are the settings. Like now I am working on Inventory Management.
Please Some one help me as soon as possible.

Hi ,
I think there are some of the Keyfigure fields which needs 0Unit or 0Currency field to be present in the Extract Structure but they are not present . Check All unit of measure and Currency unit fields are not hidden .

Issue with 0SRM_TD_IV data source delta

Hi experts,
I have an issue with the invoices numbers not updated correctly when one of invoice item is deleted in SRM.
For example:
In SRM:
Invoice number: 50001168
Invoice item : 1, quantity: 30 - deleted ( deletion indicator - x)
Invoice item : 2, quantity: 4
Invoice item : 3, quantity: 7
In standard extractor (0SRM_TD_IV) RSA3 : exactly same as SRM data.
In standard DSO (0SRIV_D3) : only invoice number and invoice item one is present, which suppose to be deleted in BI.
Invoice number: 50001168
Invoice item : 1, quantity: 30
When I did the full repair for this invoice number from SRM. I got all the 3 invoice items. It did not overwrite invoice item 1, which is deleted in SRM. the way it works in SRM is, it didn't delete the invoice item but flaged with the deletion indicator x.
Know every thing look good up to extractor RSA3. what should I do know to fix this issue? I see that we don't have tranformation rules in BI 7.0 insted we are using trnasfer rules and update rule. Please let me know.

The way I understand your issue is that,
when you do a full upload, you get the information correctly in RSA3 and DSO.
when you run a delta, you are not getting all the line items.
1) Please check whether there are any relevant SAP notes for this extractor to fix this delta issue.
2) Please check whether there is any code in the update rule or transfer rule that deletes the missing line item

Issues with WS/SPML Generic Technology Connector

Hi,
When a recon event occurs from my trusted source(user created in iPlanet), the user is to be provisioned to my WS based Target via the WS/SPML GTC.
If I set the access policy to be 'with approval' (default approval process - approved by XELSYSADM), the provisioning shows up in the Admin's Pending Approvals, and I am manually able to approve and complete the provisioning.
However, If I remove the 'with approval' from the access policy, the GTC Framework Provisioning fails, and the entire transaction is rolled back - i.e., the user is not even created in OIM (but the event shows up in the User Management -> Reconciliation Manager of the Design Console).
I would like to completely automate the provisioning, i.e. the user created in iPlanet should be reconciled and automatically provisioned via the GTC without the intermediate approval step.
Any clues on how to set this right?

Issue with Data Extraction from OAGIS 9 User Area Tags ...

We are working on displaying the data coming from OAGIS9 into Excel sheet. We created a custom Schema for the Excel sheet and are able to display all the data in OAGIS9 except for the ones in UserArea. We are facing issue in extracting data from tags present in UserArea of OAGIS 9 schema and transforming it into our Custom built schema.
Can you please suggest us some way in which we extract data from userArea?

1.You need to have the custom schema that is coming with in the <UserArea>/<any>

Issue with PU12 extraction

Hi,
I want to extract Master datau2019s from various infotypes using PU12.
1.     Is it possible to extract only master data from various info types using PU12?
2.     If so how can I extract.
3.     Is it possible to add our field in the final layout which is not in info types? (because I want to add some constant fields and the constant values needs to change based on the values I fetched.)

Data Validation issue with Standard Extraction

Hi Experts,
I have a requirement to publish a report in BI from ECC, all the details are coming from this DataSource : 2LIS_02_ITM.
This particular DataSource have the many fields which are from the following tables
EKKO
EKPO
MARA
EKBE
I tried replicating the DataSource in BI and created transformation extracted full data.The number of record the DSO (0PUR_O01) has is 27910.
I checked with the ECC tables. And the number of records they have are
EKKO - 79129
EKPO - 250502
MARA - 40950
EKBE - 1447470
I just don't know how do I check whether BI data is correct with ECC.
Can anyone please tell me how do I reconcile the data.

you have to check the number of records for the datasource in RSA3 transaction.
Also, check the start routine at transformation level, as well as the selections if you have loaded.

we are using delta for data source '0CA_TS_IS_1' and its been doing extraction fine for approved CATs hrs, but recently we have added another company code and costcenters for this company code, the new employees' hrs for that cost centers are not coming while doing extraction. did testing on RSA3; not a good luck..Is there a settings or something we are missing?

Issue with data extracted to "loader" format

I only just noticed something weird (yet probably not directly related to sqldeveloper)
Using 3EA4, I see the following line when unloading a query result to "loader" format:
CONTINUEIF NEXT(1:1) = '#'
I assumed this is harmless , yet today I've noticed it cause sql*loader to systematically
ignore the first character of every line in the data section of the .ldr file!
I am using this format often as it conveniently bundles spec and data (ldr=ctl+dat),
but have never paid attention to this glitch before. Could this perhaps affect this
particular version of sql*loader only? Right now I only have access to the 10.2.0.1.0
win32 version that comes with XE10g. Can someone confirm?
If such a widespread (free, from Oracle, I assume attracted a lot of users) version
is affected, wouldn't it make sense to not generate the offending line from sqldeveloper?

Wow - on closer inspection I see sqldeveloper actually systematically includes
a leading space, whicn can then be eaten by the CONTINUEIF while enabling
the support for multi-line records.
My problem only occurred because I had stripped that leading space.
Every little thing counts, it seems :-(

Issue with Data Extraction for Master data

Hi All,
I have requriment to enhance standard Datasource(0VENDOR_ATTR) to populate certain fields from table LFBK.
I have enhanced the datasource and the i am able to pull the data in ECC via RSA3.
After that i have replicated the Datasource in BI and have activated the Datasource and the enhanced fields are available in BI datasources and have created the transformation between Datasource and 0VENDOR.
when i run the infopackage, the new enhanced fields are not getting populated. I really wonder how the data is not coming to BI, when its is getting populated in RSA3 in ECC.
Request to give your solution to solve this issue.

After making changes to your 0VENDOR_ATTR DS, make sure that you had replicate DS at BI side.
if not then please first Replicate the DS & check the newly enhanced field is available in PSA.

1.     If you have Data Source a Flat File e.g. Excel file I know that you have to create Data Source at BW side. How do you upload updates, by selecting Delta Update when executing next Data Load? Do you ever u201Cconvertu201D this Excel file into Application Tables to become SAP Source 
2.     Can you please give me example of situation where you had to create Generic Data Source? What is difference between Time Stamp, Calend. Day and Numeric Pointer. Which one is most common to select?
3.     I read somewhere that Generic Data Source does not have Setup Table. I thought that you have to have Setup Table in order to load transaction Data otherwise you will lock the Application Tables. Where am I going wrong im my thinking please?
4.     What are steps in terms of IP before, under and after Delta Initialization. I belive that you can do two ways:
Full Update - Initialize Delta Process (without Data Transfer) u2013 Delta Update or
Initialize Delta Process (with Data Transfer) u2013 Delta Update
Am I right? What is most common method and why?
5.     If you want to add a filed in Data Source after 6 month using it, you want to do it without re-init Delta Queue. Once you create Datasource for A flat file extraction then it is file source system specific hence you cont change to Application table source Data source
In info package you can change the source as application server instead of desktop no need to change the DS

When we don't find any standard extractor then we can go for Generic(if i want information sales along with finance information in a data source then generally we dont get standard one hence we can go for generic DS)

for Delta capturing you can use
Timestamp(if the table has time stamp filed so it can stamp the last changed record in that table hence it is easy to get delta based on the time stamp)
Calday- (If the table doesn't have the Timestamp filed then search for Calday where you can stamp the delta based on the date when documents are changed )
Numericpointer : If the table doesn't above both then we go for this option where you can the numeric value change stamp )

Once you add the new field to structure(DS) you will get the data as on date onwards not historical data hence what is the concept of setup table ( delta records come from the Delta Que not from the setup table )
If you want histaric data to new field then you need to setp table deletion ...etc...

I want to extract data from two tables from CRM(Z tables).
When I goto RSO2 to create a generic data source it is giving me the options of Extract from View,Extract from Info Set and Extract BY FM.
But when I select Extraction from View it is giving me an option to select from one table only.
HOw can I extract data from two tables?

Issue with generic extraction using FM

Hi All,
I am trying to load from one DSO to other DSO, where i am trying to use generic extraction using FM, where i created strucutre of second DSO .
created Generic datasource with Function module.
when i am loading data using infopackage, its loading perfectly into PSA(with 100 records) and when i am loading thru DTP to Data target( second DSO), it is looping many records in each datapackage(like 8 million in each package) and updating into datatarget finally 100 records. but it is taking long time to finish the process.( i copied RSAX_GET_SIMPLE_DATA) and added transformation logic to it .
so i would like to know, if there is anything i have to change in the Function module code, to fix this.
i would also like to know, request is already in PSA, will it again extract from FM, when updating thru DTP.

I also had the same process. In the code of the function module. just check the Raise Exception code, probably ABAP guy can help. Also try to debug the code in RSA3 in debug mode. Actually it is going to a infinite loop, I guess.

I use an extractor based on a function module which is copy of the RSAX_BIW_GET_DATA_SIMPLE and gets delta records.
I have a doubt of how the communication happens between BW and R/3 when delta info package is ran inorder to get delta records.

Also how the delta queue is loaded in rsa7 when the delta records made?
When the delta info package is ran, the delta queue in rsa7 is changed to '0'.How is that communication made in between them?
Please clear my doubts?

Hi Suneel,
You can load delta to write optimized DSO. Your Data source will have delta load (through infopackage) and then with DTP (with Extraction Mehtod --> Delta) you can load delta records to this write optimized DSO. So only the new requests, which are not loaded yet will be loaded to WO-DSO. I tried it in system and it works.
They can be used in the following scenarios:
●      You use a write-optimized DataStore object as a temporary storage area for large sets of data if you are executing complex transformations for this data before it is written to the DataStore object. The data can then be updated to further (smaller) InfoProviders. You only have to create the complex transformations once for all data.
●      You use write-optimized DataStore objects as the EDW layer for saving data. Business rules are only applied when the data is updated to additional InfoProviders.
it is used when you don't want to wait for DSO activation and error troubleshooting. It will make raportable data available instantly.
