Issue With Tree
Hi All,
We have an strange problem in tree population.
We are using ftreen.add_tree_data built-in for the population of the next level on when-tree-node-expand trigger.
On the population of the specific data it is giving the error FRM-47337 Tree node cannot be null
I had checked the tree query on backend it does not return null.
But when i do the same functionalty with ftreen.add_tree_node with help of loop means now node add one by one it is working fine.
I donot have the reason why ftree.add_tree_data giving the error and why it is working fine by ftreen.add_tree_node.
I hope experts will help me out.
Your thread Issue with Tree in Apex 4 is still open!
Isn't it the same thing?

Hello experts,
I am facing a very strange issue with tree view.
I have created a custom component with a tree view. All data are coming in the tree view. But the strange thing is that the data is not getting displayed on the screen.
I am sure about the data because, when I am selecting a line from the tree, the data from that line is coming to the main screen.
Please help!!

ADF Issue with Tree Table , Child Row not getting rendered.
Hi All,
I am trying to show a single Level Master-Detail Table via ADF Tree Table.
I have MasterVO : InventoryVO (1 SubInventoryCode)
DetailVO: SubInventoryVO (n :SubInventoryCode)
Both VOs are SQL query based VO with bindVariables.
I have a viewLink between MasterVO and ChildVO (1:n relationship)
I dragged and drop the MasterVO as a tree Table. I added the Rule in the Tree Binding too.
I have the Tree table under a Tab , I execute the AM impl method when the Tab is clicked where I set the bindvariables of the MasterVO and ChildVO and execute it.
when I run the Page , the VO query gets executed but the I am able to see only the MasterVO Datas, and when I click MasterVO ROW , the Table doesnt expand and it doesnt render any ChildVO ROws.
Please find the Page Definition and Jspx Page Code Below

The ChildVO (SubInventoryVO) is has a bindvariable in its Query, which is losing its value when the viewlink accessor query gets appended to it.
Please find the query below
SELECT * FROM (SELECT MOTV.ORGANIZATION_CODE, MOTV.SUBINVENTORY_CODE
FROM MTL_ONHAND_TOTAL_V MOTV
WHERE INVENTORY_ITEM_ID = :P_INVENTORY_ITEM_ID) QRSLT WHERE ORGANIZATION_CODE = :Bind_OrganizationCode Though I am setting the VO query before the Table is rendered, ":P_INVENTORY_ITEM_ID".
Its Losing its value, when the above whereclause "ORGANIZATION_CODE = :Bind_OrganizationCode " gets appended to it.
I am thinking to use ExecuteWithParams Operation on SelectionListener method of the Tree Table to set the ":P_INVENTORY_ITEM_ID" bind variable, but I also want the viewLinkAccessor rule also to be applied ..
Please suggest me how to retain the implicit bindVariable of the Query. -
Issue with Tree (new jquery Tree)
Hello,
when I try to attach HTML code in the "name" alias field of the tree sql, APEX displays the HTML code escaped.
I don't see anywhere where to avoid this, like it is for example for the display field object.

Layout issue with af:tree component
I am using af:tree component but I am finding layout issue with it. I have a requirement where in I need the tree to stretch to the available space but a horizontal and a vertical scrollbar comes up automatically. Is there a way to handle this issue?
User, without your jdev version it's hard to help.
Have you embedded the tree component in a stretch layout?

Issue with child items of flex tree using QTP
Hi,
We are trying to automate Flex web application using QTP10.
We are facing below issue with Flex tree when we try to automate a scenario of selecting a child item displayed in flex tree.
Issue:
On recording the step of selecting an item from Flex tree using QTP, the script displayed is .Select Index1. But when we replay it back no action is being performed.
Also on object spy we are able to navigate only till flex tree and we are not able to spy child items of flex tree.On the web page the child items are displayed as radio buttons/checkboxes.
Please provide a solution for me to this problem.
ThanksHi,
You could perform a HTTP trace (using HTTP watch) and compare the OCI data in POST method for both users (the correct and incorrect ones).
Perhaps there is some additional/missing information being passed from catalog to SRM.
Kind regards,

VLAN Spanning-tree (VSTP) issue with Metro-E links
Hi Everyone,
We have Juniper EX 4200 as core switch at two sites connected Cisco 2960s and Cisco 3560s (access layer switches). For even-numbered VLANs, one Juniper switch is root bridge and for odd-numbered VLANs, other Juniper switch is the root bridge.
We have Cox and Verizon Metro-E links connecting core switches (Juniper EX 4200 at both sites).
I want to do VLAN load sharing using VSTP but somehow it is not working as expected. I want to pass some VLANs through COX and some through Verizon. When there is any issue with Cox, all VLAN traffic pass through Verizon and vice-versa. RSTP is also enabled on both Juniper switches.
I see MAC flapping in log messages on all Cisco access layer switches when I bring up both Metro-E links together. When only Cox is connected, everything works fine. When only Verizon is connected, everything works fine. But when BOTH COX and Verizon are connected, network gets disrupt and I see MAC flapping on all Cisco switches. All cisco switches are running PVST.
Anybody knows what is happening and why VSTP is not working when both COX and VERIZON Metro-E links are active ?Hi Tojackson, I guess this depends on how stuff is interconnecting. It's obvious gi1/1 is forwarding and gi1/2 is blocking. So from the furthest access switch, what path must it take to reach gi1/1? That is the number of hops involved for normal traffic.
Now, if you're concerned about a specific VLAN and you need gi1/2 forwarding to reduce travel time for other traffic, you may employ RPVST to have that specific VLAN and cost to go to gi1/2.
In some part of the network I support we have a pair of Cisco 7606 which feeds in to a 4507R and off the 4507R we have a ring of 2955 with even 10-12 L2 switches on the ring. The consequence of multiple layer 2 hops is not of much concern and our spanning tree stops with the 4507 since we're not concerned about broadcast storm on the routed interfaces on the 7600.

Issue with creation of ADF Table from ADF Tree selection
Hi,
Following is the usecase.
I've created ParentVO & ChildVO from a single table with view criteria to filter the nodes. And then created two View links ParentToChild & ChildToChild.
Added VOs & corresponding ViewLinks to ApplicationModule. It's got created hierarchy as Parent1->Child1->Chiled2 in Data model section of AM.So Iam done with tree creation process in Model.
As VC can't be applied for sub levels. In order to set the VCs for sublevels, followed the below approach.
Created a bind variable for tree. I've set the VC for both parent & child VOs in managed bean before setting the tree variable in setTree method. So now Iam able to display the required tree in UI with applying VCs.
Now , I can select the required nodes from tree and then click on command button to display the selection list as a table.
In order to achieve this, I tried below two options.
1) Created separate Child VO instance (Child3) from Child VO and applied same view which applied initially. and the dragged the Child3 from Datacontrol to UI(jsff) as a table. When I run the application,it's displaying all the records from the DB table without applying VCs.
2) Dragged the Child2 as a table on UI. When I run the application, it's displaying first record from the table without applying VC.
But no luck in getting the required functionality.
I've Following queries.
a) If we update any transient attribute value for an VO instance, will it effect at VO level or only for that particular instance?
Why because, I've created new instance of same VO. But the changes are not effecting for transient attributes in the new instance of VO.
b) Can some one suggest on my usecase to display the selected nodes from a tree in table format?
I tried my level best to explain the usecase. But let me know,if you have any queries on my usecase.
Thanks in advance,

RTF templates- Issue with inconsistent outputs
Hi All,
I have an issue with rtf templates. We are on XML Publisher 5.6.3 with EBS with Bursting.Bursting is set at G_HEADERS in the contorl file.
I am using the <?start@last-page-first:body?><?end body?> function. It displays amount total for single page output and amount total only on the last page for multiple pages output. The above logic works perfectly when I have single header data in the XML file(single G_HEADERS).
<XX_MAIN>
-<LIST_G_HEADERS>
<G_HEADERS>
Lines Data(tree sub levels)
</G_HEADERS
<G_HEADERS>
Lines Data(tree sub levels)
</G_HEADERS
<G_HEADERS>
Lines Data(tree sub levels)
</G_HEADERS
</LIST_G_HEADERS>
</XX_MAIN>
However when there are multiple headers(G_HEADERS) in the same XML data file at the same tree level, all the outputs get generated as minimum 2 page outputs.Even though the data fits in 1 page for some of the G_HEADERS, it shows continued on the first page and just prints the total on the last page along with the header.
I appreciate your help with this.
Thanks,

An issue with authentication and authorization on ISE 1.2
Hi, I'm new to ISE.
I have an issue with authentication and authorization.
I have ISE 1.2 plus patch 6 installed on VMware.
I have built-in Windows XP supplicant and 2960 cisco switch with IOS c2960-lanbasek9-mz.150-2.SE5.bin
On supplicant I use EAP(PEAP) with EAP-MSCHAP v2.
I created authentication and authorization rules with Active Directory as External Identity Source. Also I applied authorization profile with DACL.I login on Windows XP machine under different Active Directory accounts. Everything works fine (authentication, authorization ), but only for several hours. After several hours passed , authentication and authorization stop working . I can see that ISE trying authenticate and authorize users, but ISE always use only one account for authentication and authorization . Even if I login under different accounts ISE continue to use only one last account.
I traied to reboot switch and PC,but it didn’t help. Only rebooting of ISE helps. After ISE rebooting, authentication and authorization start to work properly for several hours.
I don’t understand is it a glitch or I misconfigured ISE or switch, supplicant?
What should I do to resolve this issue?

endYes. Tried that (several times) didn't work. 5 people in my office, all with vers. 6.0.1 couldn't access their gmail accounts. Kept getting error message that username and password invalid. Finally solved the issue by using Microsoft Exchange and "m.google.com" as server and domain and that the trick. Think there is an issue with imap.gmail.com and IOS 6.0.1. I'm sure the 5 of us suddently experiencing this issue aren't the only ones. Apple will figure it out. Thanks.

Routing Issue with 3550 Switch
I am having an issue with routing with one of my Cisco 3550 switches. I know the 3550s are EoL but some of us have to work with what we have.
I am using a 3550 on either side of a Layer 2 link. The Layer 2 link is 2 Extreme Summit X-440 switches with Microwave between the switches. I have a VLAN configured on both switches and tagged on the ports connected to the Microwave. The 3550 switch on each end is configured for IP routing but I cannot pass traffic between the switches. If I unplug the switch on the local end and plug in a laptop, I can ping the switch on the remote end and access devices at the remote end.
I know this should work because I am doing the same thing over another Microwave link and Layer 2 link using another 3550 and a HP ProCurve at the remote end.
Here are the configs for each 3550:
Local end; Port Fa0/23 goes to the Remote Side. Port Fa0/24 goes to the rest of the network

Ideas? Anything stand out as grossly wrong? I have worked on this for 2 days and am at a loss.
Thanks
JameySorry for the delay in replying. Other items at the office took priority over this project. I tried that and no change. I pulled the switch from the remote site and took it back to the local end and connected the switches with a crossover cable and everything works fine. I have pretty much determined that it is an issue with the config in one of the Extreme switches. The config in those look pretty normal but there are a few things I am unsure of. Guess I'll see if there is a similar site for Extreme gear.
Thanks

Issue with Calendar not syncing with iPhone 3g
Issue with Calendar not syncing with iPhone 3g.
Solution
Create backup of your entire mailbox before starting (THIS IS IMPORTANT)
Create offline folder (.pst file) Check windows help on how to do this for your version.
Open folders view on Outlook
Right click on Calendar in tree view and 'copy to' offline .pst folder
Go back to main calendar view and delete all entries in your calendar.
Create simple cal entry and sync test with iphone
If this works then start dragging cal entries back from the offline folder into the main calendar then sync after each step....
I moved events in this order
-Yearly recurrences (ie Birthdays)
- Monthly recurrences
- weekly recurrences
- Daily recurrences
All appointments from the beginning of this year >> to the end of time!
If all these sync then the issue is with an older cal item and you have to decide if you actually need these in you current calendar.
I chose to leave these in the offline cal and if i need access them from there.
If at any point the sync fails then you know you have a corrupt cal entry in the block you just transferred. Move the offending items back into the offline folder and try again in smaller chunks until you identify the offending items and delete them and manually recreate them in your real calendar.
Also smart to run the inbox (.pst /.ost ) repair tools for your OS/Outlook version.
Fixed so far
XP Pro / Outlook 2008
XP Pro /Outlook 2003I just updated the firmware to iPhone 2.0.1 and the syncing works great both ways.

I want to install archlinux with cinnamon as desktop environment on the computer of a friend, but I have some issue with it, and especially with (I think) the graphic card, it's a Nvidia GeForce FX 5200LE.
I tried installing nvidia-173xx from the aur first. I installed gdm, but it's extremly slow, as a result that I can't log in (nevertheless the mouse is fluid..) the cpu is not so much used yet, and it's the same thing in the cinnamon session or the gnome session (I tried installing lightdm to log in which works fine). Moreover, in the session I've got some strange graphical things, such as some missing white pixels, or a blue window when I launch nautilus, ... (here are some screenshots : http://i49.tinypic.com/2efhm6s.png and a with a window : http://i46.tinypic.com/116m05k.png)
I tried to install the nouveau driver instead, and now gdm don't freeze, I can log in, but there is always these strange graphical issues.
Is the graphic card too old for gnome ? Or did I forget something ?
Thank you in advance for your help !! And sorry for my english ..
Here are some log with the nouveau driver :

Last edited by Jejel59 (2012-09-06 11:34:53)I'm no expert on reading the xsession errors, but I had all sorts of problems running gnome3 with my machine of the same vintage. Cinamon is based on gnome3. I switched to Mate which is a re-packaging of the old gnome2 along with Compiz for the window manager and all works well.
I strongly suspect that they are using the newer OpenGL 4 API. The Nvidia FX5200 is stuck at OpenGL 2.1. -
Hi ,
We are working on BO on top of BW pilot version and finding different issues with different tools.
1) Used existing BW queries/created universe. When we run the report using Web Intelligence, not able to get the way Hierachies displays in BEx.(Tree like structure).
If we enable drill up and down option, the summary level disappeas only we can see the lower level.Which I think is a useless information to the user as it appears like a flat file data.
We created the report with possible Hierarchies upfront like a canned report, but doesn't give any option to drill up/down further, doesn't allow the user any other activity, other than dragging/dropping some columns.
2) Tried to create the report in Crystal, but because of the page limitations, I cannot get all my columns in the same page( I have 35 columns)
3) To derive the reports in XCelicius, my business partner tells me that they need to create queries on Excel to use that functionality. They are preferring to go with R/3, rather than BW, which will be again significant amount of work.
I wonder if anyone encountered these kind of issues ?
Providing these limitations, I don't see much value of having this tool on top of BW.Any comments?
I agree, it is a great tool on top of relational databases, as we are using this tool on relational databases and didn't find these many issues.
Can someone provide me the list of advantages of having BO on top of BW? I mean what BO can offer when compared to BEx( We only use BEx, no Web)
Thanks
Priyahi,
perhaps I can bring in some clarifications :
- Crystal Reports is able to leverage the hierarchies and use a parent child relationship and show the hierarchical levels from BW. It looks like the challenge you have in Crystal Reports is that you have a lot of columns that you would like to have in your report. Crystal Reports is layout driven so you could actually set a size of the report by configuring the page setup.
- web Intelligence is exposing a hierarchy based on levels so that the user can leverage the levels in the report. when enabling the drill down you could actually go from a top level down to multiple levels of the hierarchy
- Xcelsius can leverage multiple different sources: Web Services, Crystal reports, web Intelligence. Xcelsius can use Live Office to connect to existing reports from Crystal Reports and web Intelligence.
Feel free to provide your comments / questions in case this doesn't answer your questions

Issue with AFP server dropping connections on 10.8.5 server 2.2.2
We are having issues with users getting dropped from their AFP server shares.
These issues did not start happening until we upgraded to 10.8.5 and server 2.2.2
the first symptoms were an occasional user would lose his / her active connection while copying files. They were unable to disconnect from the network shares without physically disconnecting the LAN or disabling the network on their system. Once the connection was removed they could reconnect to the network and establish their AFP shares again.
However this his escalated to every user losing connections to their AFP shares at the same time.
The server has no AFP error in the AFP error log however we are getting diskutil crash reports at around the same time. (See Below)
The server has
smalltree 1x6 8254 with latest drivers supporting a LACP bonded 6 pair connecting to an edgecore (LACP configured)switch.
small tree 10Gb card directly connected to an edit station.
onboard ethernet connected to switch in support of DHCP & DNS. (previous version of server would not see the bonded pair)
Two Accusys A12S2's
(we did not have this dropping connection issue before the upgrade to server 2.2.2 and OSX 10.8.5)
Users connected to any network connection to the server appear to be affected when the AFP shares are disconnected. Direcet connect, onboard ethernet port and Bonded pair connections)
diskutil verifies all shared drives appear to be ok. (All Green)
