Issue with Verizon Aircards passing traffic past VPN 3005

We have a Cisco VPN 3005 as our endpoint. Clients connection using the Cisco 4.7 client. Currently here is the basic config on the device:
Pub Interface 65.xxx.xxx.xxx
Private Interface 172.22.0.3/16
VPN Addy Pool 172.31.1.0/28
Static routing is used to route traffic as necessary.
Clients can connect via wireless broadband or broadband and ping past the VPN Private interface and open up Outlook using an online exhcange profile. But clients connecting over an EVDO or 3G cellular modem cannot open Outlook. They can ping by IP but not DNS.
I have tried using different transports ie , IPSEC/UDP , IPSEC/TCP , and straight IPSEC. No joy. All the clients have allow local LAN access checked and the VPN Group is set to tunnel traffic in that network only. Any clues??

Issue has been resolved. Clearing DNS with an ipconfig /flushdns , ipconfig /registerdns while on aircards on VPN resolved it.

  • Does anyone else have issues with Verizon LTE service on the new iPad?

I have the new iPad. I have noticed that issues with the LTE signal have gotten progressively worse. When my iPad is sitting in 1 spot it will switch from 3 bars, to no service, to 3 bars, and so fourth. I might be on a website, or in an app that is using data and it works great. Then at random it says No Service again. I just added my iPad to my Verizon account with their new family data plan, so they sent me a brand new SIM card. I feel like I can rule that out.
I just want to know if anybody else has an issue with their iPad dropping service at random and jumping all over the board. I also have an iPhone on Verizon and it is with me always, I never have this problem with the iPhone. My iPad will say No Service but my iPhone will show nearly full service.
Just to add, I have switched off LTE for periods of time to see if things change. (that way both my iPhone and iPad are on 3G so I can compare) Things are no different when just running LTE.
Any thoughts would be appreciated. I am under warrenty and I have Apple Care. I hate taking stuff in and replacing it if I don't need to.
I am also signed up with a developer account through Apple, and my iPad has iOS 6 beta. This problem did not start with the beta software. It was the case before and after. I guess I was hoping if it was an issue Apple would address it with one of the revisions in iOS 6, but now I am starting to wonder if it is hardware.
    Thank you.

  • Address Book and Sync Issues with Verizon Curve

I got my first BB about a month ago and like it, for the most part.  I have three major issues with it now:
    1.  SYNC   I've downloaded and installed the latest software from pocket mac and my first sync went fine (I have a MacBook Pro running 10.4.11).  Every sync after that has failed.  I've tried the recommended solutions like cleaning out the sync history, re-installing, etc.  I've un-installed and re-installed several times with no change.  The sync begins fine and but never finishes.  One thing that could be a problem is the version - every time I download the software, I've clicked on the newest version, (PocketMacForBlackBerry4.1.25.dmg) but after it installs, it calls itself Version 1.2 (1.4).  Shouldn't it be 4.1?  I know there are issues with older versions, but I can't seem to get 4.1 installed.
    2.  ADDRESS BOOK    Sinse my first and only sync, I've needed to add a LOT of contacts into my address book manually.  It doesn't work most of the time.  When I add a new contact and save, it won't exit the contact, but pops up this note:  "Address updated externally, changes will be lost and the viewer closed."  The same thing happens if I'm trying to create a new entry or edit an existing entry.  The real crazy part is that many of the numbers I've added show up when they are incoming calls - the name and correct phone number, but when I try to call out on my phone, the contact info will not show.
    3.  GPS    Not a major deal, but none of the GPS services work.  I use the Google Maps mobile app, but the GPS does not work.  Neither does any of the other software I have installed for GPS.  I have gone into the preferences and enabled the GPS and saved the changes.  The logo even appears on the main screen, it just doesn't work.  *NOTE* I've found that Verizon has disabled the GPS unless you pay for the VZ Navigator service.  Typical Verizon marketing.  Is there any way to bypass Verizon's block?
Needless to say, I'm not very impressed with Pocket Mac software of the RIM address book utility.  I've read over many of the posts in this forum and see many other frustrated users.  Makes me really think about throwing my money at an iPhone.
If anyone has any solutions to my problems/frustrations, I would be VERY grateful.
    thanks for your time,
    -marlowe

I cannot say I AGREE! any louder.
This pocketmac people claim in the website to offer "solutions" but they have given me lots of headaches and I too would just go and buy an iphone. The only problem is that AT&T does not work in my house.
No matter how many tricks I have tried I cannot make my 8330 accept the changes i make in my address book. It is absolutely a killer.
Some previous user said that bluettoth could help but at any rate that was to over ride the address book with the 8330 data and in my case i was trying to do the opposite.
Any help on this would be greatly appreciated!

  • Having issues on ASA 5510 pass traffic between interfaces

I am trying to pass traffic between two internal interfaces but am unable to.  Been searching quite a bit and have tried several things to no avail. I feel like there is a simple solution here I am just not seeing. Here is the relevant portion of my config:

how are you testing? if you are pinging between the subnets, make sure you have disabled windows firewall and/or any other firewall that is installed on the PCs (remember to re-enable it later).
Are the NAT commands there because you were trying different things to get this working?  I suggest you use the command no nat-control instead.  Depending on the version of ASA you are running it may already be disabled by default.  In version 8.4 and later nat-control has been removed completely.

  • Issues with Verizon JetPack 5510L

For some odd reason, whenever I turn on my Verizon JetPack 5510L, it says "invalid battery." This is a Verizon-issued battery.
When I try and attempt a hard reset, it freezes on "MiFi."
Has anyone heard of this issue and how can it be resolved?

        @jack0916,
Let's get to the bottom of this and get your JetPack back up & running!
I researched this and did not find it to be a known reported issue with the device. How long has this been going on? Are you seeing the "invalid battery" error all the time or it is random?
Let's try a soft reset http://vz.to/1cYEx14 and retest. Keep me posted of the issue persist. We may have to replace the device through the warranty. There is no cost for the replacement as long as it's still under warranty and there is no damage to the device.

  • Yoga 13 - Wifi Issue with Verizon FIOS Advanced Router

In an effort to boost the Internet Speed for my wireless devices in my house I upgraded my Verizon FIOS router to their Advanced Router. I had noticed that all of my Wireless Devices were unable to get any more speed than 25/25, when I get 75/35 to my home. I discovered that my router was the issue. So I upgraded and was instantly able to reconnect all of my wireless devices and laptops without any issue, except my Lenovo Yoga 13. It kept getting an error that it could not login to the SSID I would give it. It would see it, but when I put in the password it would fail to connect andd give me a message indicating the same. So I thought I may need to download a newer driver. The Yoga would still attach to my hotspot, so I downloaded the latest WLAN driver. It still would not work, but I notced that it did not dump the old driver, so I deleted it and then I could not attach at all to anything. So I used another unit downloaded all off the WIreless and Bluetooth drivers I could find on the Lenovo site for Windows 8.1 and loaded them back up. I am now able to login to my new router but I get worse speeds than I did before. Now I get 10/20. But I also saw that there are now a bunch of bluetooth and wireless drivers in loaded in control panel, so before I delete any, do I need them all? Are they stepping on each other? What ones are definitely needed? Has anyone gotten anymore than 25/25 out of the Lenovo drivers? And did they ever succeed in hooking it up to a Verizon FIOS Advanced Router?
    Let me know!
    Thanks!

I went into the router and set a static IP address for the ipad (in the low 200's dont use the 100's its for your fios cable dvr's). You will first have to shutdown the ipad (not just sleep). Then delete the ipad from the connection list in the fios router. The instructions from the fios router pdf are below. I am on 24 hrs and even with wep and no fixed channel I have had no problems.
To define a new connection with a fixed IP address:
    1. Click New Static Connection in the DHCP Connections screen. The “DHCP Connection Settings” screen appears.
    2. Enter a host name for this connection.
    3. Enter the fixed IP address to assign to the computer.
    4. Enter the MAC address of the computer’s network card.
    5. Click the OK to save changes.
☞ Note: A device’s fixed IP address is actually assigned to the specific
network card’s MAC address installed on the network computer.
If this network card is replaced, the device’s entry in the DHCP Connections list must be updated with the new network card’s MAC address.
To remove a host from the table, click the appropriate “Delete” icon in the Action column.

  • Issue with Dashboard Prompt passing value to Presentation Variable

I have 2 tabular reports that grab 2 variables respectively: @Month and @Year.
    The reports work fine.
My issues is that to compute the most recent month & year, so I can pass the values to the 2 variables mentioned above, I have a dashboard prompt on the same page as the 2 reports. In the dashboard prompts (Edit Box types), I have SQL in the "Default" that computes the most recent month & year. This logic also works perfectly when you preview the results of the prompt.
My issue is that when I land on the page, it seems that the month & year prompts are not computing. I have an old value of "Dec" "2009" instead of "May" "2010".
It seems the Default SQL logic is NOT running on its own? As an aside, we do our development in a test environment and the catalog is promoted to production nightly. The "Dec" and "2009" I see is the correct value for the test environment, so it looks as if the defaul values are just being migrated with the catalog, but then the SQL to compute the latest values of the 2 propmts are never executing when the user lands on the page? Thus everyone sees Dec 2009 data instead of May 2010...Help!

  • Has anyone else had issues with Verizon Personal Hotspot disappearing?

My Verizon Personal Hotspot has disappeared for the second time in three weeks.  I talked to Verizon and they claim it is an Apple issue.  Have anyone else had this problem?  If so, how did you fix it?  Thanks!

Credits from promotions do expire, and no notice is given. It's up to the company delivering the promotion to post the expiration date, which all the ones I have seen did, though sometimes they buried it in the "fine print". Check with the promoting company, or post what promotion issued the credits and perhaps someone here can confirm whether or not the credits have expired.

  • SRP521W pass traffic to VPN server inside

    Hi All,
There is MS RRAS server inside the network with pptp active.
I can setup port 1723 forward but can’t find in a router config ability to pass gre (proto 47) traffic from WAN to LAN. Is it possible to do it on SRP521W?  I’m using firmware 1.01.19 (004).
Thnaks a lot for any help.
    Pawel

    Hi Andy,
Thanks a lot for a replay.
I was afraid too, but was thinking that somebody closer to Cisco products knows some tip…
To be honest I’m little bit surprised and disappointed because for ex. in Draytek routers at the same price level it is possible to setup it in a few seconds….
Anyway thank you Andy for clearing it.

MMy new iPhone 5 just blacked out and won't come on. Does anyone know if I will have an issue getting a new phone from Verizon.? I can't even call because I don't have a phone!

        Ebony,
Let's see if we can't get this phone working for you! What exactly is happening with the device? Is the screen just out and you can hear that it will still ring, or is the phone completely dead? Please elaborate more on what you are experiencing.

  • Re: The ongoing saga of text issues with Verizon Wireless

Question, has this problem only occured on smartphones? If so, I'm wondering if you've tried the oh so painful factory data reset, then leave the phone mostly "stock" to see if it happens? A basic tenent of troubleshooting is to try and find a common denominator...wondering if you have a preferred app that may be causing you issues.

    mrpearsoy,
Thank you so much for your insightful commentary.  I am curious to know your credentials that support your statements, how long have you worked for Verizon or with cellular networks?
#1.  Maybe I will come by your favorite dining establishment and take a bite of your meal since, well you still get 95%.  I don't believe that Verizon will accept 95% of my payment.
#2 Do a little more research, there are far more people experiencing the issue that you suggest.  Far more than your 2 to 3 pages.
#3 If I wanted a phone and just a phone I would have bought a plain old phone.  It is not a phone and Verizon themselves don't market as just a phone.  It is in fact a productivity tool, a media tool, and a whole lot more.
#4 Yes I have used ALL of those phones and then some. I have a dozen phones that are worthy of service, and probably 20 more that are too hold to run on today's networks.
In the future you would be better served to keep your ignorant comments to yourself.  I didn't ask for a troll I asked for some assistance with the issue at hand.
And I provided assistance, based on what you told us. And no, I am not a VZW employee. This is a peer to peer forum. Its unfortunate that you arent competent enough to realize that my comments were not ignorant. It was based on information that YOU the original poster, provided. However, I did know in advance that you would have something SMART to say seeing as how I shot down your post. Im sure others would have as well, but nobody else took the time to post on your post, because they know that you are just complaining for the heck of it. I hope you do indeed now pay your etfs and post. More bandwith for others texts to go through. Troll, INDEED! Clown.

  • So my issue with Verizon scamming myself and my 83 year old dad...

...Got taken out of the public forum - guess Verizon doesn't want to address such gross errors on their part in a public forum, and it was "escalated."  FWIW, I was also censored from replying to the last post in that thread - all I could do is click it as "solved." So I now have to go and check my messages, and wait for responses.  There was one response, and then nothing.  I can't waste DAY AFTER DAY checking to see if Verizon responded.  The issue is simple - Verizon keeps trying to bill us for an account we don't have and can't identify (and neither can they).  But they were more than willing to harass my very elderly dad until he paid them for an account that has nothing to do with us. What kind of ludicrous company does this to their customers?  Rapes them for money for mystery accounts, then pretends it can't find anything? Shame on you, Verizon.  Let's see if this gets censored, too.  I'm betting, "Yes."  I want this solved NOW!

    Hi AlexLTD,
Your issue has been escalated to a Verizon agent. Before the agent can begin assisting you, they will need to collect further information from you. Please go to your profile page for the forum and look at the top of the middle column where you will find an area titled "My Support Cases". You can reach your profile page by clicking on your name beside your post, or at the top left of this page underneath the title of the board.
Under "My Support Cases" you will find a link to the private board where you and the agent may exchange information. The title of your post is the link. This should be checked on a frequent basis, as the agent may be waiting for information from you before they can proceed with any actions. To ensure you know when they have responded to you, at the top of your support case there is a drop down menu for support case options. Open that and choose "subscribe". Please keep all correspondence regarding your issue in the private support portal.

  • Issues with Verizon after I edged up to a new phone

I had an iPhone 5s on Verizon Edge. Once I was eligible, I edged up to a Galaxy Note 3. When I got the Note 3 it came with a return label, bag and instructions to send the iPhone back within 14 days so I would not be charged the remaining edge balance on it. I did send it back and it was confirmed via tracking number that the phone was delivered a week after I got the Note. I got an email from Verizon two weeks ago stating that since they never received the iPhone they were going to charge me the remaining balance on it to my account. I reached out to Verizon via Twitter. The first time I spoke to the rep they got the tracking number and my info and verified the phone was delivered. They told me they would correct this so that I would not be charged. A week went buy and my new bill generated and the charge was still there. Again I reached out to support. They told me that after the phone was delivered it takes 14 days for the device to be inspected and cleared. Now this makes no sense as when you edge up it clearly states you have 14 days to return the phone. So basically what Verizon told me was that even if you send the phone back as soon as you receive your new edge phone it takes 14 days after they receive it to clear the phone so they will charge you the remaining balance then you have to deal with them to get this problem corrected. I have been a loyal customer for 10 years. I always pay my bill and have never had any problems in the past. I do not want to keep contacting them to get this charge removed that should have never been applied to my account. If I cannot get some resolution I will be looking elsewhere for my cell phone services.

We appreciate all those great years of service with us, Branden88. Let's get you enjoying that new phone without worries of the charges for the old phone. I have sent you a follow request here in the forum. Please access https://community.verizonwireless.com/actions to accept my request and follow me https://community.verizonwireless.com/people/jenniferh_vzw back so you can send me a private message https://community.verizonwireless.com/docs/DOC-1613 with your name so we can get started looking into the return.
    Thank you

  • Issue with WAN Miniport when setting up VPN server in Windows 7

I tried making my computer a VPN server by setting up a "New incoming connection" under network connections within Network and sharing center. Originally, it did complete but did not show any WAN Miniport connections. I could not connect to this VPN
    with my other computer.
    What I've done so far:
I "updated" all the WAN Miniports in Device Manager to "MAC Bridge Miniport" driver (since I could not uninstall them as they were) and then proceeded to uninstall all the WAN miniports. I rebooted my computer and then the device
drivers tried to install automatically but only a few installed successfully.
I then downloaded the latest WDK (8.1) and tried re-installing all the WAN Miniports via devcon.exe with the command "devcon.exe install c:\windows\inf\netrasa.inf MS_PptpMiniport". It said that the node was created but it failed to install the
drivers. I rebooted my computer but some of these mini ports appeared as "Unknown" in Device Manager while others appeared with their names but with numbers attached since I've attempted this a few times, Ex: "WAN Miniport (IP) #3".
from my understanding, I need at least WAN Miniport pptp to be working for VPN to work. I don't know what to do at this point. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
