Issues in FCC

Hi,
I am working on a scenario File to IDOC.
I have a CSV source file, so I have usd File content conversion in my sender communication channel.
I am unable to convert my file successfully to xml.
My Source Structure is like :
OrderHeader
A
B
C
Item
A
M
N
OrderHeader
A
B
C
Item
A
M
N
Now we do not have any key field specified in the structure. If I try to give the Key Feild Name as 'A', then I cannot hardcode it as I do not know the fixed value. And if I add Key Field Name externally, this extra field won't be present in my source file, so it is unable to parse the source file, and returns the empty document.
Any help on this. If we do not have any field that can be recognized as key field in source structure, how to handle this.
Thanks,
Vikas

Its is not a flat file but CSV.
@jyothi :
You did not specify the key field anywhere i the example shown.
You just gave the fieldNames as A,B,C. Where should we then add the keyfield and the keyfield value.
Can you explain in a bit detail if possible.
And also you specified AdditionalLastFields  for Header and MissingLastField  for Item. Any particular reason for this.
I think in both we can add missinglastfield, which eventually doesn't work though.
Also can we add any module for this.
The main problem is that when I add a key field externally, this is not present in my source file due to which it does not parse the source file successfully. Source file has then actually less number of fields than configures in file content conversion.
How can we handle this.?
Thanks,
Vikas

  • Issue in FCC paramenter in Fixed Filed Length file at reciver side

    Hi,
    I am doing IDOC to File interface. In that at receiver side I am sending file in Fixed Field Length Format.
    Receiver File Message structure is as fallows.
    Recordset
    --Control
    CTID
    CTGUI
    .... Control Fields
    --Header
    AHID
    AHGUI
    ....Header Fields
    --Detail
    ADID
    ADGUI
    ... Detail Fields
    --Notes
    INID
    INGUI
    ...Notes Field
    We want output File format in such a way that each Control, Header, Detail & Notes records should come on different line.
    I am using following paramater in File Content conversion:
    Recordset Structure* = Control,Header,Detail,Notes
    Control.fieldFixedLengths  = control field lengths
    Header.fieldFixedLengths  = header field lengths
    Detail.fieldFixedLengths     = detail field lengths
    Notes.fieldFixedLengths     = Notes field lengths
    ignoreRecordsetName        = true
    But the problem is I am getting all records in same line in file.
    Any help on this issue will be appreciated.

    Prashant Kudtarkar

    Hi Suraj,
    You are right. When I open that file in notepad I am getting boxes at end of each record and all records are coming in same line but when I open that file in XL or wordpad I am getting each record on new line.
    I am using following paramater in File Content conversion:
    Recordset Structure* = Control,Header,Detail,Notes
    Control.fieldFixedLengths = control field lengths
    Header.fieldFixedLengths = header field lengths
    Detail.fieldFixedLengths = detail field lengths
    Notes.fieldFixedLengths = Notes field lengths
    ignoreRecordsetName = true

  • Issue in FCC

    Hi
    I have a scenario where XMl enters the XI and out put is in the form of flat file.
    XML Structure
    <Record>
       <item1>
            <F1>
                <a>
                 <b>
              </F1>
    </item1>
    </Record>
    Is it possible to do FCC for this type of Hierarchical structure.
    If so,please help me out

    Hi,
    Considering the limitation of hirarchical strcuture for FCC conversion, its good idea to change the strcuture.
    For e.g remove the <a1>...</a1> structure outside the <F1> and handle the relation between both structurs within Mapping via Udfs.
    For e.g. Make the structure something as below,
    <Record>
    <item1>
    <F1>
    Field-1
    field-2
    field-3
    </F1>
    <a1>  0--Unbounded
    Field-1
    field-4
    Field5
    </a1>
    </item1>
    </Record>
    then with the usage of UDfs you may link the data from <A1> & <F1> structure based on common field field-1 etc.
    Thanks

  • FCC issue

    Hello All,
    I am working on a flat file to IDOC scenario. And I am facing strange issue with FCC params.
    Here is the flat file structure:
    HEADER_RECORD
    RECORD_1
    RECORD_2
    RECORD_3
    RECORD_4
    TRAILER_RECORD
    FCC params are defined as below:
    RecordSet Structure:HEADER_RECORD,1,RECORD_1,,RECORD_2,,RECORD_3,,RECORD_4,,TRAILER_RECORD,*
    There are keyField values for all the above nodes.
    keyfield value for HEADER_RECORD is OP01
    keyfield value for RECORD_1 is 1
    keyfield value for RECORD_2 is 2
    keyfield value for RECORD_3 is 3
    keyfield value for RECORD_4 is 4
    keyfield value for TRAILER_RECORD is CP99
    Strangely ,when the sender channel trying to pick the file TRAILER RECORD data is going under RECORD_2.
    And it has been observed that TRAILER RECORD contains 2 somewhere in the data. I dont understand why it is behaving like this
    The keyfileldName position in the HEADER_RECORD is 1 and in TRAILER_RECORD the position is 1.
    And in the others it is at 4th postition(4th field)
    Can you please help me here
    Regards,
    Moorthy

    RecordSet Structure:HEADER_RECORD,1,RECORD_1,,RECORD_2,,RECORD_3,,RECORD_4,,TRAILER_RECORD,*
    I see some problems in the recordset structure.
    1 )Are you getting  only repeated trailer records?  If not, why do you say * after TRAILER_RECORD above line in the recordset structure.
    It should be TRAILER_RECORD,1
    2) Why there is two commas after Record_1,,  similarly for all the records
    If you have one header and repeated record fields and one trailer... do as follows
    Create data structure as follows...
    Header
    ---Record (Node)
           Record_1
           Record_2
           Record_3
           Record_4
    Trailer
    Recordset Structure:  Header,1, Record,*, Trailer,1

        key (1..1)
        salary (1..1)
        empid (1..1)
    so use the following parameters at the sender side
    document name:                messge type name
    document namespace:       ur message type namespace
    Recordset name:               data(as per according to my source structure)
    RecordsetStructure:           record,,detail,

    I am getting issues in getting the file data across to Receiver adapter.
    I have tried various combinations but the message is failing in SXMB_MONI.
    How do i do it as i need to get the finalised option for incoming file structure?
    Option 1 is being stressed but how do i map it if i cannot get the receiver structure in RFC.
    Please help as I am stuck now.
    Regards,
    Archana

    Hi,
    The problem is basically in message mapping from file to RFC external message.
    The option 2 is working now and I get correct converted file strcuture after FCC and into RFC and also a correct RFC payload.
    However, business is stressing that can send the file in the format as given in Option 1 where u have different structure - Header and Items. This is not coming out correct in RFC payload as the header has 5 fields as compared to more in item but the header and item are still being mapped to the flat RFC structure and this is creating a mismatch. The item line is missing the 5 fields from Header.
    How do i do the FCC in this situation to get the correct structure in RFC?
    This means that in RFC payload, the first line should be the one as below-
    H,100890,P100,A02,S101,AUD#
    The 2 records after this as received in RFC internal table should be as 2 given below-
    I,P,NULL,TH,Test PO TH,1,EA,100,10160000,A002,0001,720090,E.1.4.3,,,,VT#
    I,P,NULL,TH,Test PO TH1 2,2,EA,100,10160000,A002,0001,720090,E.1.4.3,,,,VT#
    However, the 2 structures contain variable field columns.
    Please help.

  • Mapping issue: FCC: Idoc for each record in file

    Hi,
    I have file to Idoc scenario.
    I receive csv file with multiple records.
    The requirement is to create an Idoc for each record.
    For eg.
    source file
    A1,B1,C1
    A2,B2,C2
    A3,B3,C3
    After FCC
    <MT>
    <TRANS>
    <ROW>
    <A>A1</A>
    <B>B1</B>
    <C>C1</C>
    </ROW>
    <ROW>
    <A>A2</A>
    <B>B2</B>
    <C>C2</C>
    </ROW>
    <ROW>
    <A>A3</A>
    <B>B3</B>
    <C>C3</C>
    </ROW>
    </TRANS>
    <MT>
    I have first tested it with only 1 record to test end to end connectivity. It works as expected and Idoc is posted to target system.
    Now when I am trying to send multiple records, I am getting some issues.
    Below are the steps that I have taken to process multiple records:
    1. Changed the cardinality of ROW (child of RecordSet) from 1 to Unbounded.
    2. Changed the occurance of Idoc to Unbounded.
    3. Mapped ROW to Idoc root.
    I have tested the mapping in IR and it generates multiple IDOCs.
    When I send the test file, it fails with error Tag found instead of tag IDOC BEGIN=
    I can see the xml message created with multiple ROWs in XI by File adapter in sxmb_moni.
    When I do Test Configuration in ID, with the XML message extracted from sxmbmoni, the result that I got was:_
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <ns0:Messages xmlns:ns0="http://sap.com/xi/XI/SplitAndMerge"><ns0:Message1></ns0:Message1></ns0:Messages>
    This means that idoc was not created while mapping.
    But the same sample message works OK in IR!
    Pls help where I have missed.
    Regards,
    Anirudh.

    Sudhir,
    Thanks for your response.
    FCC is working fine. I have taken the XML message in XI created after FCC from csv sample message.
    I have tested this message in IR by placing it between
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <ns0:Messages xmlns:ns0="http://sap.com/xi/XI/SplitAndMerge">
       <ns0:Message1>
    </ns0:Message1>
    </ns0:Message>
    It is working fine and Idocs are created in mapping in IR.
    But the same sample message is creating below output ID!
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
    <ns0:Messages xmlns:ns0="http://sap.com/xi/XI/SplitAndMerge"><ns0:Message1></ns0:Message1></ns0:Messages>

  • Issue with Sender File FCC

    Hi Experts,
    I have an issue with Sender File FCC Adapter. The file being picked is of type TXT and it is tab seperated. The first line contains the field names and from next line onwards we have values for those fields.
    The field names and field values are tab seperated. Even inserting a single letter in some field value manually disrupts the whole setup & alignment of the TXT file and the Sender File CC is unable to pick up the file from the shared folder. If the first file is errorenous and after that a correct TXT file is posted, it fails to pick up the correct file as it is trying to pick the errorenous file first.
    The Error thrown is :
    "Conversion of file content to XML failed at position 0: java.lang.Exception: ERROR converting document line no. 2 according to structure 'ABCD':java.lang.Exception: ERROR in configuration / structure 'ABCD.': More elements in file csv structure than field names specified!"
    I have two questions:
    1. Is there a way to handle such a scenario? For e.g., the errornous TXT file gets picked but throws error in PI.
    2. Is there an alternative that the sender FCC channel picks up the correct files and filter out the errorneous ones ? ?
    Thanks,
    Arkesh

    Hi Arkesh,
    I think you are passing more number of fields than expected. Please check paramters defined and send the data accordingly.
    In the processing parameters tab of sender file adapter, you have an option called Archive faulty source files, below to that you would have option to enter the " Directory for Archiving files with Errors".
    I hope this helps you....
    Thanks,

  • FCC with ASCII and UTF-8 encoding issue

    Hi,
    I have File to IDoc scenario and I am doing FCC which has Japanese chars. (PO with HEADER,1,ITEMS,*)
    I have specified UTF-8 encoding in file adapter to processed the file.
    Earlier, my source file was in ASCII format which had junk chars; my file was picked and Idoc posted had junk chars.
    Then I used UTF-8 encoding for my source file to correct this issue. XI showed proper Japanese chars but this time Header part is missing.
    Do I have to specify encoding in "module" for File adapter?
    Regards,

    Thanks for your replies Chirag/Gabriel,
    ISO encoding didn't work.
    My source file will be in UTF-8 format.
    There is one correction. It is ANSI encoding, not ASCII as in the subject.
    I still have this issue when my document offset is 0.
    I tried to play around with FCC and found this odd thing.
    When first line of my input file is blank....and I omit reading the first line with offset 1, then file is read in its entirety.
    Again, when I remove this blank line and the file starts with Header and with offset 0 in File adapter, then again my Header part is missing.
    What to do?
    Regards,
    AV

  • FCC processing parameter issues

    I have some probs with FCC. I am now getting output in exactly the desired format. Am using append in FCC as processing mode. I want to remove the wrong data in the folder. I am using NFS. I don't see the delete option in receiver file adapter FCC processing options.
    How do I delete it ? Would overwrite work ? Would it remove the entire data or just the last entry ?
    How do we delete it ?

    Hi Madhav,
    > How do I delete it ? Would overwrite work ? Would it remove the entire data or just the last entry ?
    I think you are talking about the target folder file, if yes then it is not possible to delete the records.
    Solution is In file construction mode we have to use the create option and select the Overwrite existing file Checkbox.
    For using this we have the target folder Write permitions, if our user having those permitions then that file is replaced, then second time onwards use the append option.

    You have to change your data type so that the order is maintained for ST MT and IT. Otherwise it is not possible. If you look at in SXMB_MONI the XML nodes are grouped together based on the node names. Thats the reason file adapter is writing them same way.

  • FCC issue--Receiver side

    Hi Exeprts,
    Below is my data type structure
    DT_Master
         <MasterData>1..unbounded
               <MaterailNo>0.1
                <Organization>0.1
                  <Salesofice>0.1
                 u2026u2026u2026u2026u2026u2026u2026u202660 fields  I have in receiver data type,I want to convert this file in to text file with separator &&,but sometimes 60 elements will not have data from source , even in this case I want separator.
    But what is happening in my case is if I receive data for only 20 fields IN TARGET ,in text file it is giving only 20 fields, empty tags with separator not coming for other fields.
    Record structure : MasterData
    MasterData.fieldSeparator &&
    MasterData.endSeparator nl
    any pointers apprecited.

    Hai!
    yes i agree with "mapWithDefault".
    For all the sixty fields you want to use this mapWithDefault Node funtion in your mapping. Since your are not know that which field will come with empty value.
    For Example:
    If a source node Field1 is mapped with a Field1 in Target MT,you should follow the below mapping
    Field1-->mapWithDefault--
    >Field1.
    If the source field conatins any value it will consider in FCC or it considered a empty value in FCC.
    Hope,this will help u.
