Issues playing The Witcher 2 on iMac (2013 model)

Hello, I wanted to buy the witcher 2 off the app store...
I'm getting this error when I click the buy button?
I have compared the specs and my computer certainly can handle the minimum req and i'm pretty sure the recommended too?
I'm on a late 2013 model iMac. Is it a genuine problem with the hardware? or is there some workaround?  (I notice it says intel integrated graphics are not supported in the recommended specs? perhaps that's the issue?)
thanks

Welcome ac,
Due to a serious forum bug that the Hosts seem to be unable to eradicate, your screenshot did not show up for me and probably other users. Can yo ustate what is says in text form?
We need to know more about your iMac as there are different equipment levels and options. First we need to know the Mac OSX version you have.
Then we need an idea of your hardware config, especially RAM and video hardware info. Try this:

do you use the same Apple ID on your iMac, your iPhone and iPad? This is a requirement.

  • How to upgrade RAM in iMac 2013 models

how to upgrade RAM in iMac 2013 models. I know one can ask for RMm upgrade while buying iMAC from online store. Is it advisable to upgrade the RAM by self or from some professional?

Even if you do get the 27",  RAM installation is a PTA to install.  Prior to setting up your computer on your desk, you must lay it it face down on a soft area (couch).  Then you have to maneuver your hand & fingers either around or under the pedal to pop open the RAM door.  When putting the RAM into the slots you need to use all of your God given muscles to get them in there.  Otherwise, while you are seating one RAM, the one next to it will pop right on out.
When you hear the "snap," the RAM is seated properly and it's neighbor(s) will not pop out.

  • How can I re-play the tutorials on my imac

I am new to Apple and am enjoying the experience thus far. My only unanswered question is how can I re-play the tutorials that popped up the very first time I opened an application? i.e. The first time I opened "Keynote" a window opened that gave me the opportunity to see some video highlights, I chose not to watch thinking I would get to it later. However, now when I click on the "keynote" icon it takes me directly to the application - no video tutorials offered. I have found tutorials on-line but can I still get them on my computer?
    Thanks

You might want to ask someone in the Keynote forum. It may be in one of Keynote's support documents in your Documents or Library folders, or it may be inside the package contents of the Keynote application itself. Since I don't have the most recent Keynote, I can't say I'd know.

  • HT1583 After the Burn, I tried to play the DVD on my iMac, but will not recognized the DVD.  It worked on my DVD player connected to my TV.  First time it happened. ok.

After  completing the Burn process, I tried to play the same DVD to the same computer, but did not recognized the DVD media.  It worked ok on the DVD player connected to my TV.  I've been burning DVD for a quite a awhile, this is the first time it happened.

    Hi
    This usually depends on
    • BURN SPEED - not set down to x2 or max x4 - BEST IS N OT BEST - it gives max burn errors = BAD DVD
    • Brand of DVD used - MeMorex, NoName etc are known problem makers - I only use Verbatim
    • Type of DVD used - DVD+/-RW and DVD+R and DL-DVDs - can give a variety of problems - I only use SL-DVD-R
    • Low free space on the Start-Up (Macintosh HD) Hard Disk - also gives bad result
    - interlaced SD-Material (as on old CRT-TV (tube)) - I never go less than 25Gb
    - HD-material - then 4 - 5 times more seems to be a good safe minimum.
    Yours Bengt W

  • How reliable is the Mac Mini or iMac (2009) models?

Greetings to you all. I have a question directed at anyone who owns the 2009 Mac Mini or has recently bought a Mac Mini either last year 2009 or this year, 2010. My Acer Aspire L-100 finally died on 29th Dec 2009 as a result of USB failure caused by a windows auto update. Fed up with Microsoft, I am thinking about switching over to Mac and thought the Mac Mini or iMac would be a good start. I am however troubled by the numerous complaints I am reading on the Apple website posts regarding the 2009 model Mac Mini loosing sound after a month or two of use and some posts claim that the sound on their Mac Mini is distorted, crackling and some had broken systems out of the box. How many of you have had similar sound issues with the Mac Mini? Also, is it better to get the iMac 21.5 inch instead? Has anyone had hardware issues with the Mac Mini and or the 21.5 inch iMac in less than 2-6 months of use? If so please let me know so that I can make up my mind, whether to purchase Mac computer platform or just build my own customized machine. What I need to know is, how reliable or durable is the mac mini computer, especially the 2009 model and how does the mac mini, especially with its small size, handle temperatures? Does the mac mini overheat? Please help. All information will be highly appreciated.

Remember, Apple offers a 1 year hardware warranty and 90 days free software support, both of which can be extended to three years from date of computer's purchase. This means if you appear to have what is a technical issue with your machine off the bat, Apple will cover the lemon issue, if it is obvious it is not an issue you the user could have caused. Mind you, if issues appear much later during the ownership, it gets harder to justify that it is a manufacturer issue. As long as you don't upgrade the internal hardware, the hardware test CD that comes with the machine will be able to tell if there is a manufacturer issue with the machine. All bets are off, if you change the RAM, or hard drive beyond the specs of the machine. Apple publishes the specs of the machine on http://support.apple.com/
Your machine shouldn't overheat unless you excede the published specs.
The advantage of the Mac is that malware and viruses are practically a nonissue, and everything you usually could desire is already built-in to the machine. So while you could build your own machine, you can't really get the integrated hardware and software as you do with the Mac.
Yes, the 27" iMac has been hit hard with issues, more around the display than anything else. I for one, if were forced to get an iMac, would get the 21.5".
I've not seen any specific Mac Mini issues really come to the fore.
If sound is lost on a Mac Mini, it usually is due to the fact that minijack connectors themselves are fragile to begin with, and endusers tend to jiggle them a lot in the connector, causing the connectivity to get lost. If you are careful to follow these directions about cables*:
    http://www.macmaps.com/frayguide.html
You should avoid most of those issues. Thankfully there are 5 USB ports on Mac Minis, and USB audio is frequently better than the built-in audio, except when adding your own 5.1 speaker system with mini-Toslink connector speakers.
Don't forget the number of posters to this board, don't even amount to 1 tenth of a percent of all purchasers of iMacs, Mac Minis, or MacBooks any one quarter. Thus the remark you said was "rude" is not. It is factual. You are basing your information on what amounts to less odds of happening than a space program disaster with NASA. Mostly people who have problems are posting, and those who don't rarely do post.
I recently had a hard drive die after the three year warranty was spent, but hard drives I've seen die on Acers and Dells on the first day of ownership too, so that's nothing new. Backing up your data is the best way to deal with data loss*:

  • Issues with the color category in Outlook 2013 mail

We use Microsoft Outlook at work where we have the same email account on a few computers. The color categories have been very useful, especially when more than one person is working with the same email account, to indicate who is supposed to do what and
what have already been dealt with. So when we upgraded our computers to Windows 7 and installed Microsoft Office 2013 it was very frustrating to find out that the color categories dosen't sync between computers.
Does anybody have a solutions to fix this problem?

Categories sync between computers but when you use a shared mailbox, colors aren't shared, except between owners. Each person has to maintain their own color category list for the shared mailbox. There are utilities you can use (or use macros) to
    share colors.

  • Can I air play the masters from my iMac to the TV?

I would like to see if it is possible to watch the masters live computer feeds through my ATV?

You can use a program like Carbon Copy Cloner.  It will clone your HD to the external.  The format is the same as your internal drive and you can boot from it using Option key at boot time.

  • What aspect ratio is the 15'' macbook pro retina 2013 model?

Hello. Can someone please tell me what the aspect ratio of the 2013 Macbook Pro retina 15inch is? Is it 16:10 or 16:9

Glad to have helped in some way. I'm a college student that is on this website because I am a huge apple fan, have good knowledge of apple products, and enjoy helping others.
I'm sorry you had an encounter with a rude person. I promise you most people on here are not like that. These are support forums for getting help with your apple products. This is the right place for you to ask questions and get help concercing them. You will find that most on people are helpful and kind.
Your question was in no way stupid and deserved a nice response. I have a grandpa who is 90 years old and he tends to ask questions that can be considered stupid such as "how do i close this window" or "how do i find the internet browser" but none of us ever ridicule him on it we are all just happy he can use the computer at his age.

  • Issue The Witcher 3 - GT60 2PE Dominator Pro 3k

    Hello,
I have an issue with the Witcher 3 Wild Hunt :
I've just installed The Witcher 3 (using the DVDs) with all the patchs (1.01 to 1.04). When I start it (with GOG or the EXE) I have a small blacksreen opening (not fullscreen) and nothing else for many minutes, until I kill the task (no answer) in the task manager.
I've tried many things based on what I saw on the internet :
     - Reinstall the game with/whitout the DLCs = nothing
     - Update my nvidia Driver and my Geforce experience application = nothing
     - Disable Geforce Gaming experience = nothing
     - Move / rename / delete Galaxy.dll file in the game folder
     - Update visual C++ 2015
After more research I found there might be an issue with the nvidia opimus technology. I have a MSI Laptop GT602PE Dominator Pro with an Intel Chipset and a Nvidia GTX 880M.
     - I've tried many things based on this post on your forum (forums.cdprojektred.com/threads/36977-Game-crashes-on-start-up?highlight=optimus)
     - I've tried this : en.cdprojektred.com/support/min-reqs-not-met/
     - I reconfigue many things in the nvidia pannel (Manage 3D settings / Global settings tab / Power Management Mode settings, select "Prefer Maximum Performance" / Preferred Graphic Processor settings, change from "Auto select" to "High Performance NVIDIA Processor")
     - Desactive the Intel Chipset ---> At this step the game finally launch ! But I can't play it even with the lowest settings (I play 1 frames every 20 seconds). Maybe, when I desactivate the chipset intel, the computer doesn't find the Nvidia card. I don't know.
Does anyone having the same issue ? Or get a solution ?
    Thanks for your answers.

Can you use MSI System Information Export tool to export and share us your configuration.  Otherwise we don't know what goes wrong on your system, thank you.

  • Can I buy 2 x 4gb RAM to add to the current 8gb RAM in iMac 2013 27inch?

The iMac 27inch has 4 ram slots, it already has 2 filled with 4gb of RAM in.  Can I buy the same brand of RAM and put it into the other slots?
What's the exact model number of the RAM in 27 iMacs 2013?  Could there be problems, as they may not quite be a perfect pair?  Also how much could I sell my current iMacs memory for?

Yes you can add RAM to fill up those other 2 slots. Buy it from Crucial.com. It does not have to be the same brand but it has to be the same specs. Crucial will sell you the same spec RAM as what is in there already.

  • MY IMAC is from mi-2011; it should have the air play recopie video : I can not see it on my mac but air play is wirking only for audio; I can not watch the screen of my Imac on my TV Why?

My Imac should be able to get the recopie video via Air play because it is from Mid 2011.
Nothing work except the audio : Why?

No way for us to know for sure (without similar product/issues) but the
HP Support site suggests that with the current Mavericks OS X 10.9.x
their drivers should be available through Apple Software Updates:
    http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Mac-Printing-and-Scanning/HP-Product-Support-using- Apple-Software-Updates-for-new-OS-X/td-p/3086229
However that may be limited to certain models of printers or scanners that
already had been known to be working under OS X as of that date in a
prior OS X (such as 10.8.5, 10.7.5, 10.6.8, etc) with earlier product support.

{According to this page, your old printer has only Windows & Linux drivers
but you may or may not look into third-party driver support through such
    sites as Gimp; though unlikely to be available with Mavericks, or Yosemite}
    •HP Support Forum - Home:

You may be able to get a deal on a new printer as they are rapidly obsoleted.
PS: edit to add... there was a Gutenprint driver reference for T65 Printer here:
Mac OS X 10.5: Included printer drivers
Yet a driver for ancient Leopard 10.5.x may not be suitable for Mavericks 10.9.x
but the Gutenprint lead may be helpful to locate whatever may exist; or not.

  • Every time I try to play the video ads for iOS 7, the system crashes and I get a "Safari website quit unexpectedly" message.  I have an iMac 23", 3.06 Intel Core 2 duo.

I have an iMac 23", 3.06 Intel Core 2 duo.  Whenever I try to play YouTube videos, the system crashes and I get a "Safari quit unexpectedly" message.
I know there are Apple vs YouTube issues, but the same thing happens when I try to play video ads from the Apple site.
The computer is 4 yrs old- this problem started a couple of months ago.  No major changes, just updated as available.
    Any suggestions....?

I don't have any Safari extensions that I know of.  I didn't install any anti-virus.
This is on the error message when it comes up.  I went to the WebProcess application in Time Machine and tried to restore it to one year ago, but it didn't fix the problem.  As I recall, this began about the time Apple and YouTube parted ways- whether that is coincidence or not...
    /System/Library/StagedFrameworks/Safari/Webkit2.framework/WebProcess.app/Content s/MacOS/WebProcess
Thanks for taking the time to look at this.  I really appreciate the effort.  I'm a amatuer at this, I'm afraid.

  • The Witcher & Crysis - iMac & Windows 7

    Hello.
Next week I'm getting Windows 7 on my iMac (full version, fresh install). It's mainly for school and work, but I'm thinking of getting these two games. Just wondering if anyone on here has tried running The Witcher and/or Crysis on an iMac using Windows 7, and if so, how did it run?
I read about some issues with Windows 7 with both of these games. Luckily, there seems to be a common fix for The Witcher regarding patching and removing the TAGES protection. On the other hand, Crysis seems to have a rather insidious problem with Windows 7 involving crashing that no one seems to be able to fix.
So, if anyone has any experience with this, I'd would like to hear your stories.

Had the same no sound problem,
downloaded relatek hi def drivers and that fix it.
