Issues with Advanced Query Region.

Hi All,
I have a Search Page implemented with 5 subtabs. When the page is loaded, in the 5th tab I see Radio Buttons which are actually not part of this page. This issue is not consistently happening. After I navigate to other tabs and perform some operations and come back to this 5th tab, everything looks as it should. Can anyone throw some light on this????

Anyway please delete the xml page file from the instance and redeploy everything. Also make sure you dont have that radio button anywhere (either in page or created through controller). Do check if you have regions extended on the page. Also make sure you are not creating radio buttons through Personalization in the instance. You can check this by disabling the personalization profile.

Issue with the query

Hi Friends,
I am having a problem with this query. The query is to fetch all the elements for the employees. The elements that need to be fetched are set up in the flex sets.
In the table fnd_flex_values there are columns start_date_active and end_date_active fields and these are null. In the below query when I use the condition
and trunc(sysdate) between NVL(ffv.start_Date_active,TO_DATE('01-JAN-1951','DD-MON-YYYY')) and NVL(ffv.end_Date_active,TO_DATE('31-DEC-4712','DD-MON-YYYY'))
the query fetches the results in 5seconds
but when I replace the same query with the statement
and to_date(to_char(ppa.date_earned,'DD-MON-YYYY'),'DD-MON-YYYY') between NVL(ffv.start_Date_active,TO_DATE('01-JAN-1951','DD-MON-YYYY')) and NVL(ffv.end_Date_active,TO_DATE('31-DEC-4712','DD-MON-YYYY'))
the query takes a lot of time. Infact it gets timed out
Columns start_date_active and end_date_active fields are date type. Can anyone say what is the issue with this query

As per my understanding DECODE function use is:

Issues with Bex query structures and Crystal Reports/Webi

Hi experts,
I'm having an issue with Bex Query structures and nulls. I've built a Crystal Report against a Bex query that uses a Bex Query structure. The structure looks like the following
Budget $
Budget %
Actual $
Actual %
Budget YTD
etc
if I drag the structure into the Crystal Report detail section with a key figure it displays like this
Budget $     <null>
Budget %     <null>
Actual $     300
Actual %     85
Budget YTD     250
the null values are displayed (and this is what is required). However if I filter using a Record selection or group on a profit centre then the nulls along with the associated structure component are not displayed.
Actual $     300
Actual %     85
Budget YTD     250
Webi is also behaving similarly. Can anyone explain why the above is happening and suggest a solution either on the Bex side of things or on the Crystal Reports side of things? I'm confused as to why nulls are displayed in the first example and not the second.

Hi,
Crystal Reports and Web Intelligence will only show data which is in the cube. You could have an actual 0 or Null entry whithout grouping but by changing the selection / grouping in the report the data does not include such entry anymore.

Issues with Advance Table Add Row New Row not work in some scenarios.

Hi,
Wondering if there's any issue with Advanced Tables where it does not create any rows. I don't know if anyone tried this or not. I have one OA Page with Advanced Table and a button that when clicked open a new OA Page in a POP-UP Window. The pop-up page conatins one textbox where u enter a data and this gets saved in one of the VO's transient attribute. Now on the ase page if you don't click a button to open a pop-up page you can Add New Rows in the Advanced Table by clicking Add Row Button. But as soon as you open a popup window and close it Add New Rows button doesn't work and is not creating any new rows. Basically page stops working. Both the POP-UP and the base page share the same AM but have different controllers.
POP-UP page is a custom page that I open giving the Destination URI value in the button item and target frame _blank.
I even tried creating rows programmatically for Advance Table but this too doesn't work once u open a pop-up. Also I have used pageContext.putTransactionValue in the pop-up page and am checking and removing this in the base page.
Any help is appreciated.

I have a custom page in which I am using a advanced table region.
The issue is this that the value in advanced table row [Two Fields are there both are MessageTextInput] is getting populated automatically as the page render. Is this is seeded functionality of advanded table???
If you how to overcome this..
I have to display row with no value i.e blank. I got to know that if the attribute which is attached to the column of row has value then it show on frontend automatically and if i delete the row then i got it blank.

IF the values in present in the underlying table, then it will appear in the advanced table as well due to the VO that you are using.
To create a blank row. You will have to create a new row in the VO and set it as the current row.
If u want it to be done automatically. You can do this:
1. select your advancedTable region and choose New--> footer
2. Select the tableFooter and then right click and select New-- > addTableRow
3. in the addTableRow item that u just created in step 2 , u can play around with the properties. For auto row insertion, without writing any code set the Insert Rows Automatically property to true and change the Rows to Add property to change the number of blank rows added. The default is 1

Problem with SQL query region source containing OLAP clauses

Hi team,
I believe I found a bug when HTMLDB validates the SQL Query in a report region.
My query includes an ORDER BY clause within a windowing function and HTMLDB refuses to accept the source owing to the presence of the ORDER BY and the column heading sort preference.
Clearly the order-by in a window function has little to do with the column heading sort, but this error prevents me from updating the conditional display item in the page definition.
Note also that the page was imported smoothly from the 1.5 version, so probably the region source is not checked at that time, but only when you update it "manually".
So, in the end, if I don't change anything the page works because the sql query is assumed to be correct but unfortunately I need to change the condition and I cannot.
The problem shows up in page 126 of app 21670, SQL query region.

When I try to view data after creating the data set, I get the following error:

Now when I remove those Presention variables (@{PV1}, @{PV2}) in the query with some hard coded values, it is working fine.
So I know it is the PV that's causing this error.
How can I work around it?
There is no way to create equivalent report without using the direct sql..

I have found a solution to this problem after some more investigation. PowerQuery does not support to use SQL statement as source for Teradata (possibly same for other sources as well). This is "by design" according to Microsoft. Hence the problem
is not because different PowerQuery versions as mentioned above. When designing the query in PowerQuery in Excel make sure to use the interface/navigation to create the query/select tables and NOT a SQL statement. The SQL statement as source works fine on
a client machine but not when scheduling it in Power BI in the cloud. I would like to see that the functionality within PowerQuery and Excel should be the same as in Power BI in the cloud. And at least when there is a difference it would be nice with documentation
or more descriptive errors.

Issue with Select Query in the Delivery userexit USEREXIT_SAVE_DOCUMENT

I am facing a strang issue with delivery userexit
1) I have a delivery user exit MV50AFZ1 - USEREXIT_SAVE_DOCUMENT.
2) In this user exit. I have written a select query as shown below

3) The use of the above select query is to find out if there is any delivery that has already been created for the reference slaes order for which the current delivery is being created.
4) The issue here is that for the FIRST DELIVERY, this select query should fail becuase there is no delivery created earlier and LIPS table would not have data. But, I am seeing some data getting populated in the internal table. The data that I am seeing in the internal table is the data of XLIPS which is nothing but the one that is about to get saved in the database after finishing this userexit.
5) STRANGE Point is that this is working fine in case if I create delivery using the transaction VL01N. But, if I create delivery using VL10A program I am facing this issue.

Performance issue with insert query !

I am using dbxml-2.4.16, my node-storage container is loaded with a large document ( 54MB xml ).
My document basically contains around 65k records in the same table ( 65k child nodes for one parent node ). I need to insert more records in to my DB, my insert XQuery is consuming a lot of time ( ~23 sec ) to insert one entry through command-line and around 50sec through code.
My container is indexed with "node-attribute-equality-string". The insert query I used:

i have view instance (associated with a custom table..i want to insert data into this table using advanced table)with X view attributes..
among them one is primary key.i set that using a sequence value..
rest all.. i made them as columns of an advanced table..
two among the above are form values..
now i added a footer for adding a row in advanced table region...
when i click on the add another row ...i am getting this error...please check it...i am stuck here since long time..

Issues with Content Query Web Part List Override

I have modified a Content Query web part to show all checked out documents across my site collection. I used this property to get the checked out documents:

It fails when trying to view across the site collection and gives this error:
"There is a problem with the query that this webpart is issuing. Check the configuration of this webpart and try again."
However, it works for sub-sites.
Thus, I followed this blog to modify the ListsOverride property: http://geekswithblogs.net/simonh/archive/2013/05/08/increasing-the-number-of-lists-a-content-query-webpart-can.aspx I modified the property to:
<property name="ListsOverride" type="string"><![CDATA[<Lists Servertemplate="101" MaxListLimit="2000"></Lists>]]></property>
But now I am getting this response:
This query has returned no items. To configure the query for this Web Part, open the tool pane.
Can anyone tell me what the problem is? I cannot find anything in the ULS logs that would indicate a timeout from the SQL server or any other type of error.

According to your description, my understanding is that there is something wrong when you override content query web part property.
As you said, the query override works for sub-site, I suggest you check the data in the parent site whether the data is valid.

PL-SQL procedure to fix Recycle Algorithm issues with Advanced Outbound

Dear all,
A customer is using Oracle Advanced Outbound 11.5.9. and we have an issue with recycle Algorithm.
The issue is that for some cases we get outcome 32, 37 which is cache expired in table iec_g_return_entries and not the original outcome that agent has entered.

Now after a long time the issue still exists and the customer want this workaround to be optimized, so that it takes all the values from recycle algorithm tables and not just the common outcomes and conditions.
As I can see, there are so many condition in the algorithms and it is quite hard to catch all the conditions and create an PL-SQL procedure to update the iec_g_return_tables.
Has anyone done something similar?

A customer is using Oracle Advanced Outbound 11.5.9. and we have an issue with recycle Algorithm.
The issue is that for some cases we get outcome 32, 37 which is cache expired in table iec_g_return_entries and not the original outcome that agent has entered.

Perf tuning issue with a query involving between clause

Hi all,
I am getting issues with performance when I try to execute this query. Given below the query and it is going for a full table scan. I think the problem is with the between clause. But I dont know how to resolve this issue
SELECT psm.member_id
FROM pre_stg_member psm
WHERE psm.map_tran_agn BETWEEN :start_transaction_agn and :end_transaction_agn
and psm.partition_key = :p_partition_key;
Having composite index on map_tran_agn and partition_key.
Please help me in this regard.

1. New features keep coming in every oracle version so please provide Your Oracle DB Version to get the best possible answer.
You can use the following query and do a copy past of the output.
select * from v$version 2. This forum has a very good Search Feature. Please use that before posting your question. Because for most of the questions

Sorting issue in Advance table region

Hi All,
Facing issue in sorting.
I have an advance table region , I have set the property
Sort Allowed : Yes ; Sort By View Attribute : View attribute Name
This is working for all the columns but it is failing for date columns.
Data is not getting sorted for date columns.
Output format of Date is : 09-Feb13 09:08:01
Please help.
