Issues with executable

Hello everyone !
I finished my program it works fine (finally) but now when I tried to make the .exe file I'm having some issues. All the excel files that my program needs don't work. It seems like it's not communication between labview and Excel.
I added as supporting files when I made the application. I build my app with the installer too because I want to run my programm in other computers.

Without seeing your code it is hard to tell but it sounds like your problem could be to do with the fact you have not used relative paths when specifying the location of your files.
When trying to implement relative paths for executables make sure you follow the instructions in this KnowledgeBase.

Database access issue with EXECUTE AS with impersonated User account

I have been facing one issue with EXECUTE AS option in SQL Server 2008 R2. Following is the scenario:
I have two databases TestDB1 and TestDB2 on the same SQL Server instance. I have SQL Admin level permissions on the server. I have written a stored procedure in TestDB1 which will execute the scripts(SELECT Statement) againest the table from TestDB2(using
three part query). To execute the proc from TestDB1 I have used EXECUTE AS option with a user (User1) having select permissions on table from TestDB2. The same proc working fine when I use table from TestDB1 but not working on TestDB2 database. Thorwing error
saying permission denied. I have tried enabling the Ownership chains on both the databases but no luck.
Please help me with the situation here.

You can also use EXECUTE AS. But then you need to set the database trustworthy, which is not good for security reasons.
Enabling cross-database chaining will not help, since you are using dynamic SQL.
Dan was kind to point you to my article. I recommend that you read it, and learn to embrace the technique with certificates. Yes, it is a long article and I understand that you are impatient to get a solution quickly. However, the article is written from
the point of view that the reader is interested in learning for the future and not only get a solution for the moment. Certificate-signing as a technique is very very useful in several contexts.
The article does also discuss EXECUTE AS, and I discuss in more detail why setting the database trustworthy may be a security risk. (And as long you don't fully understand what I'm talking about, it is a security risk.)

Issues with Executing Javascript command in Captivate

Hi,
I am having issues with executing javascript for a button in adobe captivate 5. Let me explain what I am trying to do. I am working on a WBT that has three skill checks throught the course. These skill checks are not graded or tracked for completion. I currently have an image button that has the command "Open another project" The first image button is pointed to SkillCheck1 and I have the html file and swf file in the published root folder. This currently works fine.
However I want to use javascript to open a new window 800X600 with not toolbars at the top. I got this part working with the code below:

I am trying to execute the scripts provided at :

As required, I have asked my DBAs to grant privileges by executing the following scripts:

/where CVIM_Rpt_ExportCSVFile is my script residing in the Unix server where my Oracle is installed.
The error I am facing when I try to execute the following command is:

Exception:the Permission (java.io.FilePermission /var/scripts/CVIM_Rpt_ExportCSVFile execute) has not been granted to ODS. The PL/SQL to grant this is dbms_java.grant_permission( 'ODS', 'SYS:java.io.FilePermission', '/var/scripts/CVIM_Rpt_ExportCSVFile', 'execute' )I have asked my DBA to also execute the following scripts: - But I still see the same error as above. Issue with executing Business Rules from Planning web

Hi,
We are using Hyperion Planning 9.3.0.1 and we keep getting an issue with the Business Rules. We get an error if we try to run the rules from Planning web. The same rules validates and executes fine if we run it from AAS. This issue gets resolved if we restart the Planning and RMI service. But this issue keeps happening randomly. Is there a permanent resolution to it? Is it a bug or I am missing something here?

Have you installed any of the patches for 9.3.0.1, I think it goes up to 9.3.0.1.09
One of the fixes was :-
8-665086601 (6588823) – When the Business Rules connection to the relational database is lost, Business Rules does not reconnect to it. To solve this problem, an optional property, HBR_CONNECTION_VALIDATE_TIME, was added to HBRServer.properties. This property specifies a time interval for checking the connection between Business Rules and the relational database. If the connection is not valid, a new connection is established. The time interval is specified in milliseconds and defaults to 300,000 (five minutes).
Though I know there has been more attention to fixing known issues on 9.3.1 than 9.3.0.1

Issue with executing diff scripts.

I have an sql file which we run thru sqlplus. The file has list of scripts to be compiled. Now based on environment i wanna choose which script to be compiled. How should i achieve that?

No, that won't work, as you cannot embed SQL*Plus commands into the PL/SQL language, they are two seperate languages. PL/SQL does not support SQL*Plus commands.
What you are trying to achieve would be more easily implemented using operating system scripting languages, though the exact script would depend on whether you are using a Windows based o/s or Unix based o/s. The o/s script would be able to prompt for input from the user and has the ability to do conditional processing, thus you can get it to call SQL*Plus with the relevant scripts as the input.

In Pagination, we are using Modified version of SQL Query 3) with ROWNUM as mentioned below :-

Issue:- When using two % in like in the above query i.e. REFERENCE like '%KMF22600920%' AND ROWNUM <= 20 ) , it is going to infinite.
Could you please let us know what is the issue with two % used in like and rownum

This would be easier to diagnose if there was an explain plan posted for the 'good' and 'bad' queries. Generally speaking using '%' on both sides precludes the use of any indexes.

Issues with WebForm performance

Hi,
We had migrated a new application from UAT to PROD and we encounter webform performance issues with the following actions..
After login, the first form you open it is
always slow. After this you can switch from one form to another without a
delay.
Then once you change any data – the next time
you access a form it gets delayed.
The point to be noted is, it doesnt have any performance issues in the UAT environment and the configuration settings,essbase cache settings are all the same. We did try to move the EPM system to a new server to see if this is a hardware issue but no luck, the performance issues still exist. The consumption of the CPU/memory has been checked and it is proved that the form opening delay has nothing to do with lack of memory.
The JVM head settings is set up at 4GB which is infact higher than that of the UAT environment(2GB).
runs on Windows server2008,11.1.2.1.600 EPM serve, has planning,reporting,foundation on one server (32GB ram) and essbase on another server (32GB ram). Any help is appreciated.

is a bug and unfixable.
What does that mean and why is it "unfixable"? Is that some hardware that is not compatible with Arch at all?

Issues with ODI connection to Hyperion Financial Management

I am having some issues with ODI connection to Hyperion Financial Management. ODI and Financial management are setup on different machines.
The ‘Cluster(Data Server)’ name in Topology is given as ‘hfm03cl’. On reverse-engineering a model it gives the following error:

When HFM is installed on the same machine, it works fine. How does ODI identify a cluster on a different machine? Do I have to give the machine name along with the cluster name? If so, what is the format?

You will need to have the HFM client installed on any machine that will be running ODI (i.e. Designer or Agent) that will be executing connections to an HFM server.
Once you have the HFM client installed, see if you can actually connect to HFM from that machine using the HFM client.
Couple of other thing, in the Physical Schema, have you set the Application Catalog and Work Catalog to the same HFM application?
Also, when you are reversing, are you using the local agent or one you have installed using agentservice?

Issues with OCI connection..

I've been working on this for over a day, with infinite variations on the theme; but I cannot get a basic query to give back data. I've got the following code:

If I open this in a browser, it gives back the following:

In other words, this indicates to me that the connection is being created, but that the query itself isn't being parsed or executed correctly. I've changed various things, for instance inserting 'orcl' instead or $orcl in the oci_connect(), including environment variables, etc. etc.; but I've gotten no further than this with it.
Interestingly, if I do 'php index.php' on the command line, I get an ORA-12557 error (why is the page giving back 'Initiated connection' if this is the case).
Installed Oracle is 10g 10.1.0 on Windows, connection is local. Thanks very much for any input..

I generally do that in order to offset db interactions a bit from other code and it's never been an issue with postgres interactions; but in this case I changed that and it's working now. I'm off to look into why this is (I imagine oci_parse isn't into it while PEAR::DB or pg_query ignore it; but I'm not certain).

Performance issues with class loader on Windows server

We are observing some performance issues in our application. We are Using weblogic 11g with Java6 on a windows 2003 server

On googling this seems to be an issue with java file handling on windows servers and I couldn't find a solution yet. Any recommendation or pointer is appreciated

I just analyzed your partial Thread Dump data, the problem is that the ajax4jsf framework ResponseWriterContentHandler triggers internally a new instance of the DocumentBuilderFactory; every time; triggering heavy IO contention because of Class loader / JAR file search operations.
Too many of these IO operations under heavy load will create excessive contention and severe performance degradation; regardless of the OS you are running your JVM on.
Please review the link below and see if this is related to your problem.. This is a known issue in JBOSS JIRA when using RichFaces / ajaxJSF.

Performance issues with dynamic action (PL/SQL)

Hi!
I'm having perfomance issues with a dynamic action that is triggered on a button click.
I have 5 drop down lists to select columns which the users want to filter, 5 drop down lists to select an operation and 5 boxes to input values.
After that, there is a filter button that just submits the page based on the selected filters.
This part works fine, the data is filtered almost instantaneously.
After this, I have 3 column selectors and 3 boxes where users put values they wish to update the filtered rows to,
There is an update button that calls the dynamic action (procedure that is written below).
It should be straight out, the only performance issue could be the decode section, because I need to cover cases when user wants to set a value to null (@) and when he doesn't want update 3 columns, but less (he leaves '').
Hence P99_X_UC1 || ' = decode(' || P99_X_UV1 ||','''','|| P99_X_UC1 ||',''@'',null,'|| P99_X_UV1 ||')
However when I finally click the update button, my browser freezes and nothing happens on the table.
Can anyone help me solve this and improve the speed of the update?

I do not think that the decode is performance relevant. Maybe the update hangs because some other transaction has uncommitted changes to one of the affected rows or the where clause is not selective enough and needs to update a huge amount of records.
Besides that - and I might be wrong, because I only know some part of your app - the code here looks like you have a huge sql injection vulnerability here. Maybe you should consider re-writing your logic in static sql. If that is not possible, you should make sure that the user input only contains allowed values, e.g. by white-listing P99_X_On (i.e. make sure they only contain known values like '=', '<', ...), and by using dbms_assert.enquote_name/enquote_literal on the other P99_X_nnn parameters.
