ISupplier user Registration through backend

Hi All,
We are oracle EBS 12..1.3.
I am trying to automate iSupplier users through backend and my problem is kicking off workflow APPROVE to create the user.
FND_REGISTRATION_UTILS_PKG.publish_approval_event is the workflow to be fired. and it was returning 'N' always.

I am using FND_REGISTRATION_PKG.insert_fnd_reg_details,FND_REGISTRATION_PKG.insert_fnd_reg_details API's in my code to insert records for each iSupplier user.

Could something like this work:
Add to your user table registration id e.g. using sys_guid() and flag is registration confirmed.
Create register confirm page e.g. 250 and hidden item to page P250_REGISTER_ID.
Set page as public
Then send link like
http://yourserver:port/pls/apex/f?p=APP_ID:250:::NO::P250_REGISTER_ID:REG_ID
Change APP_ID to be your application id and dynamically REG_ID to be what you did generated from sys_guid() for that user.
Then create to page 250 after header process that check P250_REGISTER_ID and set registration confirmed flag to your user table.
You can have e.g. 2 regions with info on page 250 and show those according check of P250_REGISTER_ID and if user has already confirm registration and so on ....

Your query is divided into two parts.
The first part is adding new fields into existing form. This feature comes under Branding of portal. Plz use the link below understanding the same and related help :

The second part is retrieving the values from backend.Here it will be the UME database. You need to develop a logon.par file and replace the same in your portal.

Hello community!
I was wondering if I can create a User Registration System in Adobe Muse? I do NOT use Dreamweaver, and I know Dreamweaver can do it. I am not a coder, but there are plenty of tutorials online for me to follow step-by-step. I just can't seem to find anything for Muse.
Since Muse has Insert HTML, I was wondering if anyone has figured out a way to create a User Login and Password protected page.

Big Security Hole - Seesion ID Anonyous User Registration

This is a serious security vulnerability with IdM Anonymous Registration. When a new user is trying to register through IdM on the anonymous user registration, the session id generated has a pattern which can be easily hijacked by attackers to retrieve the data entered in the forms.

Usually this refers to the workflow or workitem id. I think there is no security issue here. It is a standard practice that you invoke a workflow for anonymous registration or any anonymous process. Then in the workflow you have to implement approvals and validations so that no weird user gets an account. Apart from that this should have an entry in AnonymousUserTasks configuration. Any workflow in this configuration file should have strong validations and approvals implemented.

RDMS realm & user registration doubt

I have been going through the rdbms realm example in example.security package.
I have a doubt. What are the changes I need to make to use a different table structure?
For example I wish to have more columns in the user table. Is this okay an approach-
1. I change the schema for the rdms realm in config.xml through the console so
that the entries in it for getGroupMembers e.t.c refer to the SQLs I need. Wherever
I make make a SQL change that alters the parameters for the query as in entries
like "newUser=INSERT INTO users VALUES ( ? , ? )" which I may be replacing with
"newUser=INSERT INTO users VALUES ( ? , ? , ?, ?, ?, ?)" I alter also the corresponding
java code in the files in examples.security.rdbmsrealm package.
2. If I create a web application which also has a user-registration should I call
the code in the rdbmsrealm package for user-registration?

configuration/external user registratrion through web console
e.g smtp host ,smtp server account etc.

I am not sure how this is EP 7, but i am sure this should be very similar as in EP 6.
From one of SDN post:
you can try:
just find the file com.sap.selfreg.portal.par.bak ( rename it to com.sap.selfreg.portal.par) in usr directory of installed drive import the file in netweaver developer studio(add the required jar files from lib of the portal usr directory) and open its jsp/pagelet folder and add the required fields in the corresponding jsp. and again redeploy the file through the component portal browser and just restart the server.

Self user registration request fails during Approval.

Hi,
My case is explained below.
I have created a new user using "New User Registration" in the sign in page.
Now the user is created in OID.
I logged into identity manager using "xelsysadm" user.
I clicked "Track Requests" and search, I could see the new request with status "Pending request approval"
I clicked on "Pending Approvals", selected the request and click on "Approve"
I get a success message. However the user is not getting created in OIM.
Here the user is getting deleted from OID also.
I could not find any forum page discussing this issue. Anyone good in 11gr2 kindly help.

Okay, here are the detailed steps to update it.
Click on track requests and search or your request
Click on your request number then it will open request details form.
This form will have two tabs request details and approval details.
Click on approval details tab.
Click on row#1.
As soon as you click on row #1, it will show you a history down to that row # 1 details. Here you will see sequestnce #, stage1, participant name, participant action etc.
Click on participant name for ex. xelsysadm.
As soon as you click on xelsysadm, view snapshot button will be enabled.
Click on view snapshot button.
Now, it will will show you a detailed request details form which will have two tabs request details and approval details.
Click on request details tab. Here you can update organization name. and you will see update button as well. Click on update button after updating org name.
Now, go to pending approvals and approve your request.

Mapping of single Portal users to multiple backend user

It is possible to map single portal user to the multiple R/3 user? If yes, than what is procedure to achieve it?
I have a SAP Portal where some users have 2 user ID in ECC, but I need to in Portal the users have only one user ID and password. How can I do to these users can select between their 2 profiles in ECC? Is posible?

Hi,
This is not possible since you would have used SSO to connect to the Backend. Either it is SSO or User Mapping is done, Portal User can only access the Backend with one User ID.
If you use SSO, for Example if the Portal User is UserA then you would have the UserA in the Backend too. It will use the UserA in backend to access. (Note: Single User can't access multiple Backend. Since we would have already maintained the Backend Connection details in the System and also in JCo Destination. So it is not possible for a User to access the Backend with two different Backends)
If you use User Mapping, then you can decide the User which it should use. (For ESS/MSS this is not recommended and it is not feasible too).

Problem with UDO Registration through SDK (Default Form Option)

I am trying to create a UDO Registration through SDK which is done easily but the udo contain default form option.
But after creating the udo , the defualt form option is clicked in the wizard but the system is not showing that default form in SAP.

I recommend you do your changes in your file/XML file before you load your form. It's much quicker and easier this way

The fnd_program.parameter call that you have is passing values for all of the necessary procedure parameters. To me, that means that the errors you are getting are related to the data that you are passing into the call.
Possible errors with the values you are passing (I cannot tell because I don't know what data you have in your environment) are:
- invalid program short name
- invalid application name (needs to be the full application name rather than the short name)
- parameter with same sequence already exists
- value set does not exist
- you can only specify tokens for certain types of concurrent programs (ie Oracle Reports)
Just running the anonymous PL/SQL block like you have shown, the errors that are preventing it being saved should be displayed.

IStore - B2B users registration by iStore administrator

How can a iStore/CRM HTML administrator register new customer user/administrator?
We are now in R12.
In 11.5.9, via CRM HTML responsibility, we had to do the following steps in order to setup a new user account:
1/ Find the organziation and create the contact
2/ During contact creation process, there was a radio button to make the contact iStore user
3/ Enter name, contact info, user name and password for the new user.
4/ AFter the new user is created by CRM HTML Administrator, user receives email notification with username and password
5/ When new user attempts to login to the store using the login credential from the email, user will be prompted change password page
Do we have a similar functionality in R12?
If not, what is the alternate solution? no customization please
Just to be clear, basically we do not want the customers to have the ability to self-register. Therfore, sales organization would want to have complete control over the user registration.

Jumpstart: Disable user registration in Solaris 10 x86 8/07

Earlier Solaris version let you disable the user registration screen by adding DISABLE=1 to /etc/default/solregis or not installing SUNWsregu. That doesn't work with Solaris 10 x86 8/07. There is no SUNWsregu package.
Can this still be disabled?

Confirmed: I just jumpstarted with Solaris 10 x86 (10/09) AKA Update 8, and touched the .nvreg file into existence with a finish script. The system no longer prompts to register at first login.
