It's business, not personal...

I've been an Apple convert for the past couple of years and the recently announced price drop was expected. Was it a couple months too soon? Perhaps, but I have absolutely no regrets even though I bought the phone a couple days ago. I'm not going to demand to be compensated $200. It's a risk you take as an early adapter and frankly, I think what Apple did is brilliant, from a PR perspective. All those saying how their trust is now gone and they'll never buy another Apple product...blah blah blah, are just initial reactions. This whole ordeal will completely blowover in the next couple of weeks. To all you "core" apple fanatics, you guys really going to crossover into the PC realm? Yeah, I didn't think so. So go ahead with your compaints and protests, in the long run it'll be for nothing. I applaud Apple for making the iphone more affordable for the masses. I'm already planning on purchasing several more Apple products. 24" iMac, Dedicated MacPro w/ 30" Cinema display for photo editing....

I'm not sure, think what the uproar would be if the price decreased in January, right after the Christmas season, rather than now. I'm not any happier than the next guy about paying what I paid (I bought two of them), but I am sure this was a decision based upon timing and holidays, more than current needs, i.e. based upon future impact than impact now. If you have decided you are going to drop the price, is it better now, or in the future. Besides, I suspect their sales were much softer than they thought they might be. I have told a number of my friends, "Hey you can get into this thing much cheaper than I did"
At least they did not announce a new and improved model, that I would HAVE to have and cost me MORE $. ...probably January for that

    Object Synchronization and Repair
    Purpose
This report enables you to run a consistency check for the integration of HR Master Data and Business Partner data. If not all data exists for the business partner, you can first synchronize data. When synchronization is run for organizational units, the basic data (name, description) and the address data is included; when synchronization is run for central persons, bank information is included in addition to the basic data and address data.
    Prerequisites
To be able to run this report, integration between Organizational Management and SAP Business Partner must be active.
    Features
This section contains information about the functions you can use to select and output data.
    Selection
The following options enable you to restrict the selection of objects:
    Central Person
In addition to selecting central persons created during integration between HR Master Data and Business Partner data, you can also select central persons who have been created locally. However, central persons created locally are not checked for consistency.
    Employee (object type P)
This selection option is only available in HR systems. The corresponding central person is displayed together with the person. Both objects are kept consistent in the Basic Data, Address, and Bank Data columns.
    Positions
    Business Partners (Employee role)
    Users
    Organizational Unit(s)
You can specify specific organizational units for the selection.
    Business Partner (Organizational Unit role)
    Note:
The selection objects Position, Business Partner (Employee role), User, and Business Partner (Organizational Unit role) are only available if an implementation of BAdI HRALX_HRALXSYNC_BADI exists.
    Branch as of Organizational Unit
This option enables you to select all objects in the structure for one or more organizational units. You can also restrict selection according to one of the following object types:
    Central Persons Only
    Employees Only
    Positions Only
    Business Partners Only (Employee role)
    Users Only
    Organizational Units Only
Business Partners Only (Organizational Unit role)
    Include All Object Types
    Changes Since
All organizational units and central persons for which changes have been made since the last time all objects were synchronized are read. When all objects have been synchronized successfully, a new change date is set.
    Note:
If a selection has been made but the relevant input field remains blank, all objects of a particular object type are read from the database. This condition can lead to a long runtime, therefore, SAP recommends you also enter a restriction.
    Output
The organizational units and central persons that have been found are displayed in a list that includes status data.
To facilitate navigation, a hierarchical tree structure is displayed on the left-hand side of the object list. The branches are sorted according to the type of action that is to be executed.
If an implementation of BAdI HRALX_HRALXSYNC_BADI exists, checks from this BAdI are executed in the External Checks branch.
If you double-click on the folder icon in the navigation tree, all objects are displayed in the list.
    Note:
Meaning of status display for data in the Basic Data, Address, and Bank Data columns:
    Icon Message Text Meaning
Green traffic light Business partner does not need to be synchronized with HR object data All business partner data is consistent with HR object data.
Yellow traffic light Business partner does need to be synchronized with HR object data Business partner exists. The business partner data is not consistent with the HR object data.
Red traffic light Object data is new and must first be created for the business partner The business partner does not yet exist or the the business partner data is incomplete.
No traffic light Object type does not include this type of data Check type is not relevant for this object.
    Activities
To integrate business partners or to repair selected objects, you must select the relevant lines in the object list and choose Execute. Any errors that occur are displayed after synchronization.
    Hope this will help.
Please reward suitable points, incase it suits your requirements.

  • Separate business and personal contacts/calendar on Exchange enabled phone?

I'm a new iPhone user (3gsi) with Exchange support enabled. What I would like to do is manage my business and personal contacts and calendar separately with work items syncing with Exchange and personal items with something else (like Google Calendar/Contacts). Is it possible to separate this way and possibly even manage it all together using the existing calendar and contact apps? I am not interested in the MobileMe service.
Example - I add a personal contact and I dont want it to sync with Exchange, but Google contacts would be nice. Or I add a calendar item that I want to sync with Google calendar instead of Exchange.
    Thx!

With an Exchange account syncing business contacts and calendar events over the air, you can also sync personal contacts and calender events direct with a supported application on your computer via the iTunes sync process. You can view business and personal contacts and calendar events combined or separately on the iPhone.
With Windows, this can be with Outlook 2003 or 2007. With a Mac, this can be with the Address Book and iCal.
Or you can sync personal contacts and calendar events over the air with a MobileMe account while doing the same for business contacts and calendar events with an Exchange account.
You can access a Gmail account as an Exchange account via ActiveSync with the iPhone's Mail client, which provides for syncing personal contacts and calendar events over the air, but you can't access two Exchange accounts via ActiveSync with the iPhone's Mail client. This is not supported with ActiveSync with a Windows Mobile device either.

  • Keeping Business and Personal Contacts Separate?

I have a MS Exchange account at work and use Entourage for my personal contacts on my home computer.
Would it be possible to have both sets of info sync to my phone? I know the iphone has active sync for the Exchange data but then, would it be possible to sync with my home computer without having them then uploaded to my company's exchange server next time activesync connects?
I imagine a lot of people would want to do something like this??

  • Mass Upload of Business Partner (Person) with/or Attribute Values

    Platform: CRM 4.0sr1 SP8, backend R/3 4.6c
I have created an eCATT to upload Business Partners (Person), with Relationship Contact Person for pre-existing BPs (replicated from R/3 4.6 backend) and then chaineded another eCATT that assigns an Attribute Set to the newly created Contact Person.
However, I can only find the manual method to assign our newly created attribute sets/values via the CRM transaction <b>CRMD_PROF_BP</b>
I looked at the expert tools <b>CRMD_MKT_TOOLS</b>, but they all seem to work with assigning the information to the BPs after they're added to a Target Group.
So, how do I either upload the info directly <i>(I am unfamiliar with FM's/Programming and how to use them if anyone suggests one, so please be specific)</i> or create a target group that includes a this new set of Contact Person BP numbers?
    Thanks for any help!

    Hi Mike,
The bottom line you try to achive is populate target group based on attributes
    of each BP right?
Here, I try to give you alternatives:
    1. Without assign attributes to BP, and assume you have the attributes assigned
already in R/3 (or the information already saved in BP R/3 somewhere). Use
tcode CRMD_MKTDS from CRM, here you define external source of your
target attributes. Define RFC connection to R/3 and retreive infoset from R/3.
If you have BW connecto to CRM, this can be used as well.
    2. Or, you have lists of BP in MS-Excel file, for example Region1.Xls contains all
BPs with region = 1 and Region2.xls contains all BPs with region = 2.
Now, in Profile Set segmentation, create Target group and retreive all BP from
excel file. Right click on that new target group and choose Target Group
properties, Open tab Load File and Create New target group. then follow the
rest steps until you get the target group with BP according to each file you
        have.
    3. Last alternative, which you may avoid as you are not familiar with programming.
Use Function module  CRM_ISA_BP_CHAR_VALUES_SAVE to save BP
        attributes.
Tell me if this is what you looking for.
    Gun.

  • How to change Business partner PERSON in GTS system

    Hi,
I have developed an program to create business partner (Person, Contact person and Organization). But now I have to include code for changing Business partner.
I have used BAPI_BUPA_FS_CREATE_FROM_DATA2   BAPI for Person creation. But now I am not finding any BAPI to change PERSON business partner.
Let me know a BAPI or any other way to change PERSON BP.
    Thanks
    Atanu Das

    Hi experts,
I am facing the exact same issue and was wondering:
    1.  Are there specific authorization objects that I can use to limit access on the web UI based on BP roles?  I found authorization object B_BUPA_RLT.  But does this work for just SAP GUI or web GUI as well?
    2.  I have read threads relating to another solution, to use a BADI to alternate configuration views.  Are there any other alternative solutions that are purely configuration based?
    Vinay,
Could you provide details on which solution you eventually went with to solve your problem?
    Thanks,

  • Business and personal contacts

I use my iphone5 for business and personal. I want to have 2 completely separate lists for business and personal contacts. I know I can use groups but I want 2 completely separate lists, 2 different buttons on the screen.

Then look for an app in the app store, as iOS does not provide what you're looking for.

I have business and personal e-mail accounts with different contacts. Can I have more than one address book on my iPhone?

Set up an additional user account and use one for work and one for personal stuff - each will have a separate address book. Turn on fast user switching for easy switching between the two.

  • HT201320 How to separate my business from personal emails?

I want to separate my business from personal emails. I want to set up another email address. In Linkedin I couldn't use the one I have to set up a company page because it's already associated with my personal Linkedin accoung. Can I create a second email address with my business name? Linkedin wouldn't excepted the .mac.com address. Thanks for your help!

Any new iCloud account will be assigned an @icloud.com address at this point.  If LinkedIn will accept this, you can create a second iCloud account on your device by going to Settings>Mail,Contacts,Calendars>Add Account>iCloud.  However, mail synced with a "secondary" iCloud account like this will only be fetch, as push is only supported in the primary account.
Otherwise, you'll have to set it up using another email provider like Gmail.

  • Business Partner - person not available in WFM core

Having created a business partner in BP transaction (role 'Resource), when I try staffing it to a role at the fron end, I get the message "Person XYZ is not known in WFM core."
What all need to be done to be able to staff?
    Thanks all.

    Hi,
In order to use Business partnesr as resources in cPorjects, create BP with role "Employee"
You can use Transaction BP for the same.

  • Separating business and personal contacts

I recently moved to a BlackBerry Curve from a Palm Treo.  Our company used to use Goodlink to sync data from Outlook to my device.  In order to keep my personal contact information private I created a separate contacts folder in Outlook which did not sync with my company's servers.  I then used PocketMirror to sync the extra file to the phone.  It wasn't the cleanest solution as I had business contacts in Goodlink and personal contacts in the phone's contact file, but it worked.
I want to keep my personal contact information off of my company's server.  Is there any way to do this with the Curve?

    Hi,
So why Agenda is working fine and doesn't synchronise private meeting ?
I am sure that field "Private" is missing in BB Software !
    BB, please fix-it !

  • Business to Personal Upgrade

    Hello,
Was searching for an answer but can't find any answers.  Personally, I have VZW with iphone 4 and my upgrade isn't until next year March.  Want to get iphone 5 so bad.  At our office we use the Droid Incredible that my workplace pays for the phone data plan and voice.  My droid is still fine and I barely use it since I have my iphone.  Was wondering since at work I am due for an upgrade on my business line, and the company covers this expense as part as a perk.  Can i order the iphone 5 and then use it and activate the iphone on my own personal account?  Reason I am asking is I dont want to lose out on my unlimited data plan.

@Thaifood - I know it has been a bit since you initially posted this message. Were you able to find an answer to your question?
That's really nice of your company to provide you with cell service! If your company allows you to upgrade and switch your phone to your personal account, you would be able to make that change. Since you are not upgrading your personal line, your package wouldn't change at this time.
Thank you and have a great week!

  • Both business and personal icloud acts on one device?

I have a personal iCloud account that I use for business on my iPhone and the business Computer...Can I create an iCloud account for business and keep them separate or am I stuck with having everything personal (notes, calendars etc.) on the business computer?  And if so, if I delete the personal account off my phone, does my contacts stay on the phone?

You can add a second account in System Preferences/Settings>Mail, Contacts & Calendars. The data will appear alongside the original account; you won't get 'Push' email - it will check the server periodically - and you can't use PhotoStream with the secondary account.
Signing out of an iCloud removes the data from the device because it all lives on the server and is read from there by the device (like webmail). When you sign back in it reappears.
You might want to think about business use though: iCloud is positioned for personal use - the email service has no telephone support and no guaranteed uptime, and using an @icloud.com address indicates that you are using a free service. If I were in business I would use a proper business account with full support (it might still be cheaper than business lost through any mail outages) and my own domain name for the address (which isn't expensive).

  • IOS Developer registration as a business not a company

I am trying to register my business as a IOS developer, Once we launch our app in the app store we want it listed under our business name rather than our personal names. The only choice in the registration process is personal or company, which apple ask for an ACN and ABN (we are from Australia).
We have a ABN as we are a registered business trading as a partnership but we are not a company so we have no ACN.
How do we go about registering as a business so we can list apps under our business name?
