IT008 not getting logged in PCL4
Hi Guys,
I was working on a program similar to the standard program RPUAUD00. This basically creates a report for any changes made in infotypes.
In IT008 changes made after 1st April are not getting logged in the PCL4 log. This is happening only in production while in staging its functioning poperly.
Are there any config settings or tables that we need to check in production to ensure that infotype logging is enabled for IT0008.
have already checked the table T585A, T85B and T585C and the entries for IT0008 are there.
Hi,
I have to develop the similar reports as you developed. Can you please share your program with me? Thanks in advance.

Error is not getting logged in error file while running dataload maxl
Hello All,
I am running a Maxl to load data in a database which is running fine but noted a weird issue that the errors are not getting logged in error file. Suppose i changed the name of data file then it should give error something like
ERROR - {Error no.} - Unable to open file {filename} which should be logged in error file but my error file is still empty.
I am using the Maxl -
import database {dbname} data from data_file {filename} on error append to "D:/Error/errorfile.err";
Any inputs please...
ThanksTry to use single quotes and the backslash. It may depend on the operating system and /or the version of essbase used. This is an example from one of my maxls:
on error append to 'D:\Hyperion\logfiles\myload.err';
cheers, chris -
Why do we not get logging output for the clients?
Q: Why do we not get logging output like #show log all | include <client mac address> for the wireless clients?
A: When the clients connected to Bridge mode SSID, Firewall hits and logging does not work.
This is one of the limitations with bridge mode.logical. fair. I can understand the confusion in policy as another fine cloud service - DropBox - has a different model for increases in free storage amounts for one account = evangelism. As many policies as there are services probably.

New Laptop, windows 8, can not get logged into iTunes.
Hi
I have a new laptop with Windows 8. I've installed iTunes but can not get logged onto my account or home sharing etc. I keep getting a pop up message
"We could not complete your iTunes Store request"
"The iTunes Store is temporarily unavailable. Please try again later"
I've already unauthorized my old laptop to make way for the new one so it can't be that.
My iTunes libary is stored on an external harddrive and even though I chnaged to location folder in the iTunes settings it's still not picking up any of that either.
Any suggestions before I launch the whole lot out the window??
ThanksTry the following:
If you see a message that your computer can’t connect to the iTunes Store, click another item (Podcasts, for example) and click iTunes Store again. If it still doesn’t connect, make sure your Internet connection is working—open a web browser and visit a website. If your Internet connection is OK, there may be a problem with the iTunes Store. Try visiting the store again later.
Make sure your computer’s date, time, and time zone are set correctly.
Make sure your account information is accurate and that you don’t need to correct a problem with a previous purchase. Enter the iTunes Store, click your account name at the top of the iTunes Store window, and sign in to your account. To verify your account information, click Edit Account Info and Edit Payment Information.
If you’re having trouble signing in to the store using your AOL account, your AOL account might not work with the iTunes Store in your country. Only U.S. and U.K. customers can sign in using their AOL accounts.
Make sure the iTunes Store is available in your country. For more information, visit the iTunes website. -
Process order change pointers - not getting logged
Hi,
I have defined change pointers for Process order for one custom message type in BD52 (and BD50 as well.). I have included AFKO, AFPO and AUFK tables (e.g. fields like KEY, GAMNG).
But no change pointers are getting logged when ever I create or change a process order through COR1/2.
Am I missing something?.. (and yes Change pointer are active 'Globally'.)
Thanks.hi,
generally change pointers (table: BDCP) are saved during change document creation (table CDHDR),
but due to performance reasons this funcionality was switched off...
see oss note 390635...
I think, if you want - you must write own code in which change pointers will be created,
look at these function modules, should be helpful:
ORDER_WRITE_DOCUMENT
CHANGEDOCUMENT_CLOSE
CHANGE_POINTERS_CREATE_LONG

DML operations not getting logged
Hi,
I am wanting to collect the stats on the tables on my DB for which I want the DML activities to be populated in the USER_TAB_MODIFICATIONS table. The monitoring on all the tables in the schema has been set to ON. But i still see no records inside the USER_TAB or DBA_TAB_MODIFICATIONS table.
I can always try executing the dbms_stats.flush_database_monitoring_info for getting this table populated. But I wanted to first know why is this table not getting populated thru the DB processes? And incase any DB level setting is preventing it from getting inserted in the USER_TAB_MODIFICATIONS table, I am not sure if executing the dbms_stats.flush_database_monitoring_info would help me.
Kindly advice.
Thanks in advance.CrazyAnie wrote:
Hi,
Yeah, I know there is a time lapse (approx 3 hrs) between the DML operations on the table and the time when they are logged in the DB. We waited for around a day to get these value populated in the DBA_TAB_MODIFICATIONS. But we are still not able to see any values in this table.
I am not able to guess the reason behind this. Kindly help.
Shall I try executing the flush_db_monitoring info to get these values?refer Thread: user_tab_modifications only updated by gather_stats_job?

ARD/VNC connection logging? Port 5900 attempts not getting logged
I have a 10.7.5 machine on my home network with the built-in screen sharing turned on. I connect to it from work with the standard Screen Sharing app, so it's a basic VNC connection using the default Apple client/server software on the default port 5900.
These connections show up in /var/log/secure.log like this:
Jan 15 10:16:41 MyServer screensharingd[7630]: Authentication: SUCCEEDED
Jan 15 10:21:35 MyServer screensharingd[7630]: Authentication: FAILED
But when I look at my traffic logs (using PRTG Network Monitor), I see frequent port 5900 connections to that machine that don't correspond with any secure.log entry.
Where might those connection attempts be logged? Is there something other than screensharingd that might be handling port 5900 traffic?
Thanks,
IanGot the answer on another tech board. It's just a port scan, not a connection attempt.

Need a way to find out users who have not all logged in into the portal
Hi all,
Please can some body tell me the way to find out all the users who have not at all logged in into the SAP enterprise portal after their user ID's are created.
Are there any methods(UME APIs) or attributes that set the status of user whether he/she has logged in into the portal first time.
Thanks & Regards,
Hajira RehmanThere used to be a way, but here's what Detlev posted earlier this year:
<b>Hi everyone,
UPDATE on this: From SP16 on, the last successful login date does not get logged into the database anymore, see <a href="http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/43/bc6b9202454dece10000000a422035/frameset.htm">here</a> - for performance reasons, as it is stated...
Hope it helps not to fall into this new trap
Detlev</b>
So, there are no simple APIs - you'll need to build your own mechanism. -

Please notice the scn is a *number* column, not varchar2
By using format a6 you are forcing Oracle to display a too big number as a char. Hence the ##.

Custom log not getting generated in weblogic 10.3.5
We have weblogic 10.3.5 as application server and deployed DAM(Digital Assets Management ) application on it. Also we have deployed 2-3 more application which is sharing connection properties file (dfc and log4j) outside from application war in shared location.
Now, we have configured the log path but logs are not get generated where as it comes in out log of weblogic.
Is there any configuration changes which can create the log files as mentioned in our log4j.properties?? Seeking help urgently. How are you writing to the log file in your application?
When, for example, use System.out.println the entry will show up in the .out file.
You need to get the right loghandler to write the logging you configure.
