Item Cost update Coneversion Error

Hi All,
I am doing item Cost Update conversion, while doing this i am getting the Following only one error for all the items.
Error Explanation - 'The default cost type for the cost type is not valid.'
Error Code - CST_INVALID_DEFCSTTYPE
i am inserting the data in the interface table 'CST_ITEM_CST_DTLS_INTERFACE'
in this table i am taking only the below columns
INVENTORY_ITEM_ID,
ORGANIZATION_ID,
COST_TYPE,
RESOURCE_CODE,
USAGE_RATE_OR_AMOUNT,
COST_ELEMENT_ID,
PROCESS_FLAG
and i am doing this only for materail cost, is there any extra columns i have to take in the interface table for doing with out getting the above error.
please provide me the data also for the extra columns.

the above error can come only when the row being imported is missing any of "lot size" or "based on rollup flag" or
"shrinkage rate" or "inventory asset flag" values. Most probably it could be a setup issue.
when any of these values are missing, the values are defaulted from the default cost type
of the current cost type into which item costs are being imported into. If the
default cost type too does not have the values set for the above mentioned
columns which are having Null values, this message is displayed.

Good Day All,
Happy new year. The Standard cost update process errored out for specific individual parts with the following being the only error message in the log file:
No Errorw CSTPSISC.INS_STD_COST (70): ORA-00001: unique constraint (INV.MTL_CST_ACTUAL_COST_DETAILS_U1) violated
CMLCCU-0999 : Cleaning up
The only thing I can find anywhere is in the CST MGMT users guide indicating uncosted transactions as the culprit. We have no uncosted or unprocessed transactions. I'm not sure what possible unique constraint on NV.MTL_CST_ACTUAL_COST_DETAILS_U1 is being violated and the error message obviously shows nothing. If anyone has any help I'd appreciate it.

Item cost not found for one or more items - Inventory Posting

Good Day Mentors,
My user has encountered an error during Inventory Posting and its "Item cost not found for one or more items".
The specific Message ID from SAP's System Message Log is 10001287.
I found a similar post which addresses this error here.
But unfortunately it did not help me solve my user's problem.
I already checked if the items had a defined "Item Cost" in the Item Master Data Inventory Tab, and they all have "Item Cost" defined.
I'm not sure if this will help, but below is the Inventory Audit Report of one of the items that is throwing the "Item cost not found" error.
I am not a business consultant neither am I literate in accounting, so thanks for the patience.
SAP Version: 9.0 PL5
Valuation Method: Moving Average

I've already verified in our production database the points you made:
- Is the "Manage Item cost per warehouse" selected in the Basic Initialization Screen?
YES
- Is the "Manage Inventory by Warehouse" ticked/checked in the "Inventory Data" tab of the "Item Master Data" screen?
YES
* I apologize for not have been able to give this information upfront.
Anyway, the database only has one warehouse at the moment.
I've checked the items, like the item in the screen shot above, and it does have an item cost.

                          My Situation is something different. My scenario is as under:-
1) I am purchasing old gold(Item Old gold) of 100 gms from A(My customer) @ 1450/-.
We want the purchase a/c debited with 145000 and credited to customer with 145000/-
At the same time quantity of OLD Gold item to be increated with 100 gms quantity and value 145000 with cost of 1450/-
2) But we found that the journal entry of debiting purchase and credititng party come ok, but the item quantity increased with out updating the item cost
3) Once i get the item cost update, then i need to process the old gold and make refined gold as special production.

Error In Updating Item Cost

   I am getting this message when I attempt to update a particular items cost in Inventory.
Field cannot be updated(ODBC - 1029) [Message 131-183]
   This happens only for a handfull of Items.
Here are the details :-
SAP Version : 2005A SP 00 PL 34
SQL Server Version : 2005 SP1
Set G/L Accounts by : Warehouse
Valuation method : Standard
When I ran the query pertaining to the update directly in Enterprice manager, it worked fine. but not from SAP. Here is the query.

Noted that the fileds [ValidComm]   and [FrozenComm] are nvarchar fileds and allows null. Note that the OITM table has User defined fields, allowing null but I dont see how they are affected as the query above is updating the Average price. Wondering though whether SAP should update AvgPrice as the Valuation method is standard and noting Moving Average ?
I checked out the forum for information and found the same error had occured in different modules and tried out the solutions recommended but it did not solve this issue.
Any help is greatly appreciated !

Item Cost Error

I am using SAP 8.8 PL 16
Inventory valuation method is FIFO.
One of our consultant has entered opening balance for a particular item and selected check box Allow initial quantities without price.
While issuing this item it gived error Item cost not found . I do understand it is because of the price not entered.
Now i am not able to release any quantity for the same.
Pls help how to issue quantity for this item since batch is already created or any way to assign item cost for this

when the user is trying to add the issue for production system is showing error item cost not
found.The item which is issued is Inventory + purchase item with manual issue method.The valuation
method for that item is FIFO.since the valuation method is FIFO,error related to item cost should
not occur.
Since the valuation method is FIFO.Item cost error should not occur.
The error related to item cost must not occur at the time of issue for production.

I only have 1 apple ID and the same was used to set up this early 2011 macbook pro and iPhoto app. I don't want to loose out on any photos. I tried logging out of app store and back in but no luck. PLEEAASEE HELPP!!!
This problem has been reported by quite a few forum members, who skipped the update to iPhoto 9.5.1 while running Mavericks. In that case try to purchase iPhoto again instead of updating.
After making your backup try the following:
Uninstall iPhoto by deleting it from the applications folder, but do not empty the Trash.
Launch the App Store, click the "Store" menu, and sign in with your AppleID.
Open the main page of the App Store and search for iPhoto.
If iPhoto is listed as "Free", click the "Free" button to buy it with your current AppleID.
If it is not showing as free, there is no help but contacting the App Store Support, as Niel pointed out: http://www.apple.com/support/mac/app-store/contact/

Items not shown in Periodic Cost Update form

Hi,
I'm working with Periodic Average Cost, for a Colombia project. Instance is still in 11.5.10.2.
The issue I have is that when I try to select an item to update periodic cost, the item is not retrieve from LOV. In the form the corresponding LE / Cost Group / Cost Type. Cost Group is associated to the Item Master Org.
After checking, the LOV for items is not showing all my IMO items nor my IO items. It's showing the items for another IO (UK) which happens to be the IO #1 created after IMO
The OU has its own IO under Standard Cost and the IO depends from IMO. The responsibility has profiles for correct SOB and OU.
Does anyone know if there is any profile or setup used byt this form to deafult items' org? As it;s so far it seems we are missing a setup, but there is no reference in Metalink on similar issues

It has been long time since I used Webforms but it look to me like you are using the default options and if there is no data that return in the query then you will not see the PagerTemplate.
1. execute the SP from the SSMS.
2. make sure that you pass the correct @status while executing the SP from the ASPX.
3. check the SQL Server profiler, what query the SQL Server got.
4. Check if DataTable (dt) has data after filling it. else you do not get the "DataBind" part, and the PagerTemplate will not display.
* The basic code look ok in fast review. I might missed something. You should monitor it and get the line that make the issue.

Is there an interface table for inserting data in Item Cost - Layer Cost Updates?
Or can I insert on it directly? Can you provide an example Insert query for this?

My understanding is that only Item Types are being picked up by the Actual Cost Process and the others wouldnt be. You should raise an SR to Oracle to confirm the same (as I havent done this for a long time and hence cant be 100% sure). However, if you have already done these then you can run a query to get all this data and use Cost Adjustment as a workaround to load all these values to the items

Item does not exist error when updating item

Hi,
I have a list called "Deal" and I have a ItemUpdated event to update the item permission based on a list field "Owner".
I find the code run well with site collection administrator account. If I use a regular user account to edit the item, it throws "Item does not exist" error after clicking save button. But the item is actually updated.
I run the code under debug mode and it does not throw any exception. But the page shows "Item doex not exist" error.
If I retract the solution, the item can be updated normally without any error.

BDC Error in Costing update?

We added some new cost components. I am running the BDC and get this error?
Does anyone know where the config is that is causing this error?
The diagnosis is:
Diagnosis
Customizing of the cost components for cost component structure CL is incorrect. When assigning the components to cost element intervals, a different assignment has been found than that of the default values for updating the additive costs. The error occurs with cost component 022.

Price Maintained in PIR with Condition Type for Gross Price, Freight and Duty with valid from 18.04.2011 to 31.12.9999.
Price Control is 'S'. Orgin Groups are mainatained for each type of Price i.e. Gross Price, Freight and Duty.
These Origin Groups are mapped to combination of Condition Type, Valuation Variant, Valuation Area, Controlling Area and Company code in under TAB "Delivery Costs" for freight and Duty.
Please suggest for any configuration missing.

Wrongly update item cost & quantity in GRN PO & A/P Invoice.How to reverse?

I need some advise from you guy & girl..
I have a scenario as below:
My Supplier name Sia Food
Actual Invoice detail is Fishball 100 KG. (1Kg=2pkt=RM 8)
1) When GRPO issue: i keyed 200 pkt with price RM 3.80. Thus
(Dr Finish Goods    RM760, Cr Goods Received not Invoiced RM760)
2) When AP Invoice: I copy from GRPO however have take only 100 pkt with unit price RM 8.00. Thus
(Dr Goods Received not Invoiced RM380 & Finish Goods RM420, Cr Supplier RM800) create in system.
I suppose to update 100 pkt with price rm4 dollar. However, the user had accidently match the invoice total from supplier without checking proper the quantity. The reason is the Invoice 200pkt with rm8 is come from two GRN PO.
Question:
How can i reverse or contra the allocation account or clearing account & adjust the item cost? Any best idea?
I'm thinking to close the GRN PO, the entry will created as below:
CR   Goods Received not Invoiced RM 760, DR Stock Clearing Account 760)
When i revalue the item cost back to RM8, the account cannot contra with the allocation & stock clearing account. The reason is the some of the stock had been release to customer.
Any better idea?

                        In your case Supplier credited correct amount if am correct, now
Goods Received not Invoiced is not nullify bcz excess amount in Invoice, so put JE for adjust this
for short quantity put "goods receipt in inventory module" with correct value,if u have old stock issue
that old stock after that put GoodsReceipt choosing appropriate account code,please correct me if am wrong
