ITunes 10.x mouse disabled when visualizer running

Ever since I updated to iTunes 10.x my mouse no longer functions when the visualizer is running. Was totally fine in earlier versions of iTunes. Why remove this ability? Or is something wrong with my installation?

I ran Repair Permissions on my MBP hard drive and this corrected the problem. My iPhone now syncs perfectly with iTunes. I was about to, at the suggestion of Apple Support, remove iTunes and reinstall the program. But I thought I would try the old "standby" Apple cure (Repair Permissions) first. And it worked!! Hope this helps others with similar problems.
And, oh, BTW, if your iPhone 3GS battery dies, try charging it up with the AC adapter firstI think this whole problem started when I plugged in my dead iPhone into my MBP with iTunes running and iTunes, and/or the Mac didn't like it. FYI.

Why are certain keys disabled when I run Flash Player?

I am building a resource for my students which allows text entry into a text input text field. When I try to type the answer a number of keys are disabled. I have tried disabling keyboard shortcuts in the Flash editor. I have then tried closing the program and just running it in the stand alone Flash Player. The list of keys that do not work are given below.
The keys that do not work are 5,6,8,9,0,P,J,K,B, and X. I have not tested other alphanumeric characters.
the Flash Player version is version 9.
I am using Adobe Flash 5 at home but save as version 4 for use in school. I am running ActionScript 2.

I am not detecting any keys. My Flash file is the start of a simple quiz. ans1 (in the code below) is a text box instance. The actionscript compares what is typed in with a number of given answers. The trouble is if I make questions that need any of the keyboard keys that do not work then the anser cannot be inputted. Thsiis my problem.

I recently downloaded itune 10.5.2 (11) when I run it the blue pane on the left does not exist, the one that shows your playlists, purchased music etc.

I was recently prompted to download the newest version of itunes. I downloaded it and it actually says its 10.5.2 (11). Regardless of the version once downloaded I opened it to use it and the blue pane on the left that contained the original playlists, purchased items etc is non existent. Does anyone know if I am missing a setting or display set up or is it a biger problem?

I'm not sure I understand the question.
First I would update your iTunes match. iTunes match will tell you what is duplicates and then you can just delete them from the library.
Second, the course in a situation like this is to delete ONE duplicate and see what happens. Make sure you have that song backed up somewhere just incase it deletes it completely. But usually I'd delete one and then see if it deletes both or just the one you pressed.
Thirdly, update iTunes match. It usually does a good job of locating actual duplicates.

This should get your itunes store connection working.
Close your iTunes,
Go to command Prompt -
(Win 7/Vista) - START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES, right mouse click "Command Prompt", choose "Run as Administrator".
(Win XP SP2 & above) - START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES/Command Prompt
In the "Command Prompt" screen, type in
netsh winsock reset
Hit "ENTER" key
Restart your computer.
If you do get a prompt after restart windows to remap LSP, just click NO.
Now launch your iTunes and see if it is working now.
If you are still having these type of problems after trying the winsock reset, refer to this article to identify which software in your system is inserting LSP:

ITunes Now Not Recognizing Discs When Safari Is Running

My iTunes works/imports CDs fine when I am NOT running Safari.
However, recently there have been *repeated problems when Safari is running*. I will insert a CD, it'll appear on the desktop, and then also appear for a brief moment in iTunes as GraceNotes is queried. Suddenly, *the CD will disappear from the desktop AND from iTunes*, and iTunes goes back to my regular "Music" listings.
No way to eject the CD except to do a restart...
Happens whether iTunes is already running, or if it is started by the action of inserting a CD.
Haven't been able to isolate whether it is due to a certain website I'm on (Facebook?)
When Safari isn't running, works and imports fine.
I am NOT running Snow Leopard.
Help?

A couple of questions aimed at narrowing in on possible causes of this, Theo.
(1) Does your QuickTime Player launch, or do you get an error message of some kind when you try to launch that?
(2) Try (by way of experiment) disabling the BonJour Service.
In your Start Menu, right-click Computer and select "Manage".
Expand "Services & Applications".
Open "Services". (Maximise the window to better see what's going on.)
Right-click the BonJour Service and select "Properties". In the "General" tab, set Start-up type to "Disabled".
Restart the PC, and try launching iTunes again. Does it launch this time?

Hold the shift key upon boot, that will disable any boot loading third party kernel extension files.
Once you get in:
1: backup your user file folders to a external storage drive
2: go around and update all your third party software everywhere, including right clicking on third party system preference panes and removing them if necessary
3: any third party software that can't be updated, consider removing.
4: Look in your Console log files for "kernal protection" type messages to get a clue what's causing your problems.
Read about Gray, White and Blue, Kernel Panics here, they are usually always caused by third party software incompatibilities, but not always.

Recover software as you have described is pretty much your only option - keep in mind that if wait, some of the currently recoverable data may well be over-written and lost.

I run Windows 7 and the newest version (10.6) of iTunes will not install. The installer won't even begin, and when I run the Apple Software update, it tells me that iCloud and iTunes have invalid signature.

Ok, so after like 4 days of going through all these different issues, I figured out that several programs weren't downloading, and it was an issue with my wireless connectivity messing up the digital signatures, so if you plug in your comp to the modem and delete your temp files, it should start to work!

The figures you mention only make sense on your intranet. Are you still using the same wireless router. The verizon one is somewhat limited as far as max wireless-n performace. For one thing it only has a 2.4 radio. I like many people who wanted wireless-n performance before they even added a wireless-n gigabit router, have my own handling my wireless-n network.

Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.

If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.
