I have the same issue. If I open up the Equalizer and select any setting (including the one that is already checkmarked), the sound corrects itself. However, it goes right back to crappy when a new song comes on.

Yup, it was uploaded to our school Wiki as a PDF, and Pages did open it. I was then able to move it to iBooks, but I'd rather avoid the extra steps.

Is there a way that I can stream the muic in my i-tunes through my Apple TV without the TV accessing the internet? It is costing mt money to play my own tunes, as my broadband allowance is not that high.
I don't mind paying for films, but not for my own music.

Apple TV requires an active Internet connection in order to stream protected content via AirPlay
You can remove DRM (protected content) from your iTunes libraries.

A movie I bought a while ago will no longer play, instead it just shows a black screen and no audio. All of the other movies in my library play fine. Any ideas as to whats going on or how to fix it? Thanks for any help.

I am having problems with the Preview application. When I try to use it to open a pdf document it gets hung-up and I have to select force quit to close it. Any ideas on how to resolve this problem? Thanks for any help
Can you open the Preview program without loading a file, like by itself?
If it doesn't load then I suspect a corrupt Preview preference file.
Deleting the System Preference or other .plist file
Can you open other files with Preview, like jpg's and images?
How about other PDFs? or is it just that one you have downloaded?

The HP Officejet Pro 8500 A909 is not an AirPrint printer, if that is what you're asking. HP has proprietary apps that may be suitable for your needs.
To print directly from an iPad / iPhone you will need an AirPrint compatible printer or another device to act as a print server. That can be a Mac computer running Printopia ($19.95 with free trial) or handyPrint (donation - supported). The Mac must be "on" but may be asleep for them to work. Equivalent PC options may exist but you're on your own finding them.
You can also buy this standalone print server:

These options enable you to use any printer available to your Mac, even older ones that may predate AirPrint by decades.
Otherwise you will need to buy an AirPrint printer or multifunction device. -

Make sure that you do not use Clear Recent History to clear the <i>Browsing History</i> when you close Firefox.

It would be helpful if you were to identify the model of MBP you have.
The noise makers on a MBP are the fan(s), the HDD and the optical drive. Can you locate the exact position where the noise is coming from?

That's fine - except nobody here knows what you have been able to think of try to this point.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.
It really helps if you let others know "what you know of" and already tried. -
where did this backup window come from on my desktop. It specifies personal data & settings and tells me when the next backup is scheduled [which I never set up]. I have always used time machine to backup to an external disc and within the last 2 weeks, this backup window keeps appearing. Where did it come from? Thanks for any help
