ITunes closing out

Whenever I try to update or put videos onto my iPod, iTunes freezes and has an error message that says "iTunes has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience." Does anyone have any advice on what I could do? I already tried re-installing iTunes and it didn't work.
Also, could this have been caused by the PQ DVD to iPod Converter?

go to add/remove programs....uninstall quicktime , then go to and repair itunes... this should solve it

I actually figured it out...I had to go to the iTunes Library Extras.itdb file and give myself permission to have full control. THEN, I could go and estore a previos version. Once I had done this, I got the same message for iTunes Library Genius.itdb . . . I did the same thing with it and Voila'!!

While trying to set up a new iTunes account when I enter her email address it says we have to select a new email address. I have checked and her email is not associated with my iTunes account and really do not want to establish another email account. Any suggestions?

The way you download older apps for the older, original iPad 1, as I understand it, is if you have iTunes installed on a computer, you purchase / download the new, current app, in the iOS App Store in iTunes on your computer. Then, go back to your iPad and go to the App Store app on your iPad and find the same app there and download it.
When You select app to update/download, a message pop-up window appears asking if you want to download the last compatible version for your device (if one still exists ) tap OK and that should be it.

Itunes causes my computer to have a blue screen and shuts down when closing out Itunes window?

When I close out my Itunes window my computer goes black then to a blue screen with words about crashing then shuts down in Windows Vista!

Thanks, I did that yesterday and it worked. I tried to repair it but it said there was a fatal error and I don't even need that Mobile device support. anyway. So after I uninstalled it, it never happened the next two times I closed out Itunes after that.

I would be concerned too if the songs I purchased from iTunes were not downloading to my iPhone. You have taken some great troubleshooting steps already, and thank you for providing the details of the steps you too. I have a few additional suggestions to get it downloaded to your iPhone.
First, I recommend checking to see if the download was interrupted:
If your download was interrupted using your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
From the Home screen, tap the iTunes app.
For iPhone or iPod touch, tap More > Downloads. For iPad, tap Downloads.
Enter your account name and password if prompted.
Tap the blue download arrow to resume.

If the songs still do not download, next I recommend downloading the songs when connected to another network. For example, if you are using the cellular network, you could switch to Wi-Fi, or you could try an alternate Wi-Fi network. Itunes closed after iphone restore and now wont open..what to do???

i was having some problems out of my iphone and had no choice but to do a "system restore" on my iphone 3G. As soon as the restore was done itunes closed and now it will not open. i have tried shuttin down and restarting my computer. I dont want to uninstall itunes because when my iphone restored it erased everything out of my phone and i need to put contacts pictures etc. back onto my phone because thats where i backed it up at!!! someone please help me!!! what do i do?!

Installed new iPod + iTunes, closed iTunes and can't open it

I was running on 10.3.8, and QT 6.5.2 and iTunes 4.6. Installed to 10.3.9, QT 7.0, and ran the iPod installer, and installed QT 7.0.3, everything seemed to work fine. My iTunes updated and I pulled my music over to the iPod, then I ejected the ipod, checked and the music was there, then I closed out of iTunes. When I went back, I couldn't open it. When I tried it would seem like it wanted to open, but nothing would show. I would have to force quit, same thing with my QT now. If anyone can help, I would appreciate it.

I figured out something. I uninstalled my Protools and my iTunes worked, then I reinstalled QT 7.0.1. At one point, my QT read 'QT Version 7.0.3, but my player still read 6.5.2 after all the iPod updating, so I reinstalled to make both 'version' and 'player' read the same, then updated to 7.0.3 and added Pro key, and everything seems fine.

You can't transfer music purchased from the iTunes store to another ID. You can, of course, create a new ID and start using that for purchasing your music. Just create the ID, then go to Settings>iTunes & App Store, tap the existing ID, sign out, then sign back in with the new ID.
If your issue is that music purchased by her on her device is automatically downloading to yours, you can turn this off by going to Settings>iTunes & App Store, and turning Music off under Automatic Downloads. Then you can continue to share the same iTunes ID without continuing to automatically download each other's purchased music.

ITunes is out of memory?

I bought an episode of a show and when i try to watch it a window pops up and says iTunes is out of memory. how can i fix this or get more memory?

Have you got a number of other programs running on your computer ? If you have then you could try closing some of them, or preferably try rebooting your computer and see if that frees up some of your computer's memory so that you can then play that programme.

To reset, press and hold the Home and power buttons until the silver apple appears.
I would delete the app, reset the phone and then download the app again. Your calendar information should be stored on the phone as Week Cal uses the Calendar app information.

My I pad is not closing out of Facebook and other apps. I have to turn it off to close them

I am having trouble closing out of face book and other apps. My I pad is two years old . I have to turn it off to go into another page.

You cannot remove the software update notification. It will not go away. If you have the iPad2, you can update the device to iOS 6.0.1. It is your choice to not update, but you cannot remove the update notification.
