ITunes Search Xcode 4

Question

I'm in the process of creating an application that involves using a search field to search for and play the result. I had the code working in Xcode 3 using an Applescript application. However with the transistion into an ASOC application didn't fare so well; I'm having a difficult time getting the words entered into the search field into a variable in the applescript. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Nobody else in their masses seeing this on the iPhone? Surely some kind of glitch on apple's side.
