ITunes stays in the background when set to remain in every space

Under the Spaces preferences I have set iTunes to appear in every space but it behaves oddly when I do. If the main iTunes window is open and I click on another window then click on iTunes in the Dock, iTunes will become the active application but the window will remain in the background. If the main window is closed it will reopen when I click the Dock icon. This is contrasted with other applications like Mail and iChat which activate the main window on top regardless of their Spaces settings.
This is annoying as I would like to see the iTunes window to change music from all my Spaces with just one click of the Dock.
I would like to know if anyone else has experienced this bug and if you have found a workaround.

I think I got it. Open System Preferences -> Exposé & Spaces -> Spaces tab -> check When switching to an application, switch to a space with open windows for the application.

To Reset Firefox do the following:

What I want to do is somehow make my entire iMovie project smaller by compressing it somehow but without losing any footage or audio or quality. At the moment the project is a 56GB iMovie project lasting approx 1hr. I have a mixture of miniDV footage, titles created in Live Type (they are better quality than anything available in iMovie) and audio.
The miniDV footage is automatically compressed when it transfers from my camcorder to my Mac, no worries there.
The LiveType titles contain a motion background (imported into LT) and then text which appears and disappears at set points. The titles vary in length but are about 5 seconds each.
The file size for the LT titles is approx 180MB per clip, the movie requires about 20 or so of these clips, making a very large file size overall.
Is there a way that I can save something in LT so that the file size is smaller yet still keep the quality and use the clip in my iMovie ?

Fixed it!
1. Made sure itunes software was up to date
2. Pressed and held 'home' button and 'on-off' button at the same time for about 10 seconds till ipod reset (I hadn't done this step previously)
3. Connected to itunes
4. Pressed restore and update ipod
Update successful and ipod taken out of recovery mode

Using a photo as the background when creating a book.

In the 08 version, the photo background could be used no matter which page layout was selected. For some unknown reason with 09, you can only use a photo as the background when you select "two" and click on the choice that has one picture frame as the page layout. When other layouts are selected, to include "two" with the two pictures frames, when you try to drag a photo into the background it will take that picture and add a photo to the page, but not as the background. Instead of having a photo in the background you went from two frames to three, or three to four, etc., with a blank background.

I got it to work. I went to another theme, added the photo to the background and then went back to the Travel theme. I got it to stick. I also could change the layout to more or fewer photos per page and keep the background photo. Not the best solution but at least it worked. A video I have watched in the past plays randomly, invisibly and sporadically in the background when browsing with FF10.

I'm having a small but annoying issue with FF10. In the past, I have watched a video on a website that I visited to get information on a diet for a family member. I have not visited that site since obtaining the information on the diet, but now, sometimes the audio from that video will play in the background when I am browsing with FF10. This issue has not occurred with any other browser, so far as I am aware. My first thought was that I may have a virus, but I run virus scans every day, and all of them have come back showing no viruses. I have run Norton Internet Security scan in both Safe Mode and Normal mode, all with the same result. My PC is less than a year old, and everything seems to be running smoothly, apart from this problem. It does not happen every time I open Firefox, but sometimes happens at start-up, or more rarely, after I've been browsing for a while. Apart from the repeated virus scans, I have also attempted to clear any cookies related to the site I visited. I am waiting to see if this solves the issue, but I'm wondering if anyone else is having or has had a similar issue. If you have, any help would be much appreciated.The audio of the video was annoying to listen to once, and I'm hoping I do not have to keep hearing it so often, so if you have any suggestions beyond what I have tried, I'd be extremely grateful. SAP Screen Personas: How to Change the background when a pop up shows?

So I am using the current version of Personas (2.0) and I need to add an image to the background when a pop up appears. However, no matter what I have tried I cannot seem to get it to place an image in the 'grey' area behind the pop up. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Here is a screenshot so you can see what I mean:
The current Transaction is XD03, it goes to this pop up where I can change the background of the pop up itself, but I cannot change the background behind the pop up, it remains the same SAP screen which is not optimal for Personas output. Once I get out of the pop up I can change the background no problem - but during the pop up I am unable to edit the grey area. Even after the background has been changed on the screen following the pop up this background always remains the same. Has anyone had any luck changing this?

When I went back and tried to change the background I was able to add an image but it still would show the header section in the back behind the pop up.
However when I pulled an image that was filling the background up into the pop up area, Personas would re-size the pop up! Then I was able to drag the pop up to cover the header of the background to prevent it from showing anything similar to a traditional SAP screen. It is not exactly what I wanted but it will suffice for a work around. Thanks again for your help!

If you mean using the mail app - yes it can be kept open. You do not have the multiple open windows feature in iOS like on a computer so you still have to navigate back to the mail app via double tapping the home button or by swiping to switch apps if using multitasking gestures.

You update via the Mac Apple Store, not the iTunes store—that's music and movies.

My iPhone 4s plays muted music in the background when connected via Bluetooth to my 2009 Ford Focus. This puts a heavy drain on the phone battery. I would appreciate any ideas to prevent this happening.

It doesn't really matter whether I am talking to Apple or not (and I'm sure they monitor these comments), I want everyone to know how bad this new iphone 4s is, and all of it's problems.
Apple have already launched an upgrade to the software - it obviously did not help, as many around the world would concur.

Why does the Firefox application stay open in the background when I close it?

I have a WN XP PRO desktop and a WN 7 Pro laptop. Every grade of Firefox has the same problen of staying open in the background at times. I have always had to restart my computers to clear it. Why can't this problem be fixed? I see that others are having the same problem. The only time that I know that it hasn't shut down is when I try opening it up. It may be running when I am using IE or Google. It has to be slowing my computers down.

There's no way a 16GB model phone has more than than capacity. I have no idea what you mean by AutoRun icon. Is that an app you downloaded? Did you jailbreak?
The "advertised" capacity of all storage devices is based on a decimal definition of "Gigabytes" where 1 GB is defined as 1,000,000,000 bytes. However computers see and calculate storage based on binary definitions where 1 GB = 1,073 742,824 bytes. Thus a 16 GB "decimal" device is only 14.9 real, binary gigabytes.
Also, there are additional loses due to formatting overhead and the iOS. RAM memory is separate and not used from the supplied flash disk.

Try trash the com.apple.iPhoto.plist file from the HD/Users/ Your Name / library / preferences folder.
(On 10.7: Hold the option (or alt) key while clicking on the Go menu in Finder to access the User Library)
(Remember you'll need to reset your User options afterwards. These include minor settings like the window colour and so on. Note: If you've moved your library you'll need to point iPhoto at it again.)
What's the plist file?
For new users: Every application on your Mac has an accompanying plist file. It records certain User choices. For instance, in your favourite Word Processor it remembers your choice of Default Font, on your Web Browser is remembers things like your choice of Home Page. It even recalls what windows you had open last if your app allows you to pick up from where you left off last. The iPhoto plist file remembers things like the location of the Library, your choice of background colour, whether you are running a Referenced or Managed Library, what preferences you have for autosplitting events and so on. Trashing the plist file forces the app to generate a new one on the next launch, and this restores things to the Factory Defaults. Hence, if you've changed any of these things you'll need to reset them. If you haven't, then no bother. Trashing the plist file is Mac troubleshooting 101.
