ITunes tells me it is in compatibility mode, but it is not!

I have had this annoying problem for some time now, but have put up with it until now. The issue I have is that every time I start iTunes on my Vista PC, it tells me that it is running in compatibility mode, however when i locate itunes.exe, right click on it and then go to the compatibility tab none of the boxes are ticked at all. I just don't get it, but it's driving me nuts because since it started doing this the 3D graphics on the album art slider thing are all jerky and it is generally not very responsive. Does anyone have any suggestions?
Thank you!
Steve

I thought I'd take one more kick at the can here by way of asking a couple of questions that may (or may not) help us get a better handle on your problem.
1) Are you receiving the message shown in this article in the Apple Knowledge Base or something else? If something else, would you post the exact message.
2) What version of iTunes are you running (iTunes Help menu > About iTunes) and is it possible that the problem began after upgrading to this version?
3) Does using the Vista Program Compatibility Wizard provide you with any helpful information?
