IView deployed using the Flex 2.0 runtime returns a blank screen

Hello Everybody,
We upgraded Visual Composer for NetWeaver 7.0 to SP Stack 21 and now when we run a Visual Composer iView, deployed using the Flex 2.0 runtime, a blank screen appears instead of the application.
We use windows server and mssql as db.
Please help.

Hi Maulin,
to solve your issue perform the following procedure:
           1. In Visual administrator, go to the HTTP Provider service of the server.
           2. Click the "Properties" tab.
           3. Find the "Never Compressed" property.
           4. Add "*. swf" and also "application/x-shockwave-flash" to the list.
           5. Click "Update", and then "Save"
           6. Restart the J2EE server and test the result
If it still not working you should create an OSS Note,

Great exercise to document the problem like this. It got me thinking about how an app with modules would be different from an app that does not use modules. Solution: I moved the dummy reference of PersonPhotoView out to the main application file (as opposed to being inside the module) and it worked. I've probably been lucky not to have experienced this problem earlier, because for most other entities I have an instance attached to my model which is linked / compiled with the main application.

Is it possible to install and use the Flex SDK without using
FlexBuilder?
If so, which IDE(s) could one use the SDK with and where
would one get those IDE(s)?

You can use any text editor to write mxml and/or as files and
use the compiler(s) that are included with the SDK to compile to an
swf (on the Mac, TextMate is excellent).
You can use the SDK's in conjunction with Flash Develop and
the FDT plugin for Eclipse, which both are IDE's for AS
development.

If your problem persists get yourself a micro USB cable (sold separately), you can restore your Apple TV from iTunes:
Remove ALL cables from Apple TV. (if you don't you will not see Apple TV in the iTunes Source list)
Connect the micro USB cable to the Apple TV and to your computer.
Reconnect the power cable (only for Apple TV 3)
Open iTunes.
Select your Apple TV in the Devices list, and then click Restore.
(You may already have a micro USB cable if you have a camera or other digital device)

Hot deployment using the REDEPLOY feature

I am rather confused regarding the usage of the HOT DEPLOYMENT in WLS 6.1 sp2
- Win2000.
According to the documentation - "deployment.pdf" p. 31 you should be able to
simply touch the REDEPLOY file and the entire application should then be redeployed
by WLS. However according to the following link:

the usage of the REDEPLOY feature is only for WebApp's not EJB's.
So my question in short terms: What am I supposed to belive ? the BEA documentation
or the BEA support team ?
I have tried using the REDEPLOY feature as suggested by the documentation however
the WLS fails to do the redeployment with an execption.

From my experience REDEPLOY does work for EJBs as well. You need to meet two conditions: REDEPLOY file should be in META-INF and your application should be deployed under the domain/application. I was not able to get it to work when the application is deployed elsewhere. If somebody knows how to it, please let me know.

SCCM Application & Package deployment-Using the Required option to speed up the deployment process

Is there a way to speed up the process for the application or package to get downloaded to the SCCM Cache folder on the computer using the Required option. The reason is that when ever i use the required option and use the time as UTC or client local time
with As soon as Possible, the time for the package to download and install by itself would take atleast an hour.When i use the Available option and go to configuration manager and click on the machine & user retrieval policy, the application or package
appears on the system center within seconds, but it dosent happen the same when i use the Required option. The polling schedule is currently set to 5 minutes.Is there any settings or time interval which needs to be changed or i am missing out to speed up the
current Required option process.

Content is not ever downloaded by the client for available deployments until you actually initiate the deployment so not sure what you are expecting.
I think you are confusing some of the basic concepts here also. When Torsten and I say download, it means the download of the content associated with the package/application once the deployment starts. However, a client learns of new deployments (and things
about those deployments like if they are required or not) by retrieving the policy -- this is not the "download". Policy retrieval happens on the cycle specified in the client settings and is by default every 60 minutes although this can be force in a few
different ways including initiating a machine policy retrieval and eval cycle o the client. As Torsten also said, there's no difference between the policy retrieval for required or available deployments -- there's no way for these to be.

Compilation of adobe air app that uses ANE fails while using the flex ant tasks.

The resolution seems to be a hack - which when you rename .ane files to .swc, it works.

- Adobe AIR SDK & Compiler (version 3.7) for Mac OS X
- ActionScript Compiler 2.0
- Apache Ant wrapper located in "AIRSDK_Compiler/ant/lib/flexTasks.jar"

I'm using something like this in my build.xml (inapp.purchase.flash.swc is the flash wrapper for the ANE):

I don't think you need ANE when building swf component of your app. ANE is only required for packaging. By linking with external inapp.purchase.flash.swc you're just telling action script compiler that above symbols will be defined later (in ANE).

Using the mini DVI - DVI cable with HDMI LCD screen?

I bought the apple mini DVI - DVI connector to connect my imac to the back of my plasma. I have a 3 meter DVI cable to extend the mini DVI - DVI connector.
It worked fine but the plasma is not so good for my purposes as i am using the set up to display images.
I have just bought an LG LCD TV for a very good price.
However the LG LCD does not have DVI socket! It has HDMI.
Is there a cable available that is DVI (female) - HDMI?
And will this work in theory?
Any advise is much appreciated...

Hello. Been using applescript for about a week. Very new.
I'm using the following script below using an external libarary to query mysql database on external server. works. gives results. How do I save them to do something with the.
when I run it, the results of the call to the library show up in the results window. that makes sense.

I want to assign the results to a variable to use it later, particularly the 85016.

Usually you would assign the variable to the results of the command/function, which are inside the tell statement -for example:

The 'route print' Command from an Administrative Command Prompt in Windows 7 provides a variety of useful information. Let's take a look at the output of a 'route print' Command to examine how the output data is grouped and to understand its logic.
Let's begin by simply issuing the following command:

Most of the time our focus is upon the IPv4 Routing Table output. Here are the sections of the IPv4 Routing Table output for reference.

The Loopback IP Address of '127.0.0.1/32' receives Limited Local Broadcast to the Loopback Network while the Loopback IP Address of '127.255.255.255/32' provides Limited Broadcast to the Loopback Network.

Next the Routing Table includes 2 specific entries for the Multicast Network (224.0.0.0/4) for both the 'Local Host' or Loopback Address of '127.0.0.1' and the Host IP Address of '10.1.1.36' that are '224.0.0.0/4' . These are used for Multicast Network functions.

The last 2 Routing Table entries provides Services through Limited Broadcast Addresses. The Network Destination of '255.255.255.255/32' are the Limited Broadcast Address Ranges for both the Loopback Adapter '127.0.0.1' and the Host IP Address '10.1.1.36'.

Finally, upon understanding the sections of the Windows 7 Routing Table there are additional functions available when using the 'route' Command. This Blog entry is focused solely on output from the 'route print' Command.

It does this quite often:
When using the internet, the web browser screen will go completly blank after 2 secs of loading.
I will see the page, then after two seconds it is gone, and the web browser is completely white.
Once, one page or tab does it, all the others start doing it.
It is very frustrating, and happens quite often.

Using the Default standard Tool-bar with a new screen.

I created a screen with a table put would like the gui-status of the screen to be the same as that of a normal selection screen with all the functions. Is this possible and how do i go about it. Please help
