IWeb 09 published site does not match what I've created!

So after working countless hours on a website, I finally finished it and used Cyberduck to upload the files. Once it finished I was so excited to check out the website only to find that a lot of the content does NOT match what I have created on my desktop iMac. Even widgets youtube and html snippets aren't working, but are working fine within iWeb as I have created the site. The fonts have uploaded all wrong and even borders and frames look different or aren't there all together. Also, the Google Map widget is causing some error through cyberduck upload and says it can't load it. How come my iWeb site looks great on my computer, but is totally hosed when uploaded to the FTP server? I'm freaking out and am desperate for help.
The website is www.mikewarobickgolf.com
I'm running Lion as well.
What do I need to do to get all the content of my iWeb site uploaded properly to the server? Please help!
If I am already screwed from running iWeb 09 with Lion, can you recommend an iWeb replacement? I'd rather get the site up now with iWeb and work on replacing it a later time if at all possible.

You need to upload the Scripts folder to get your Widgets to work.
Try getting the full embed code for your Google map and pasting it into the HTML Snippet rather than use the Widget. According to Cyclosaurus ( the only person outside of Apple who seems to understand widgets), the Google maps widget won't work when MobileMe closes down at the end of the month.
I don't recommend any of these apps. As long as iWeb functions OK after the end of the month, I would continue using it until something better comes along.
In theory, Flux is probably the best bet since its a hybrid of code entry and drag and drop. In my opinion its too complicated and is not going to produce leaner code unless the user learns how to work with an external stylesheet. By the time you add inline styles and all that positioning info you're going to end up with more bloated code than an iWeb created site!
I don't know why someone can't come up with an app like iWeb that will utilise an external stylesheet and uses code injection and plugins. The big problem with iWeb is that apple didn't allow third party developers to create new widgets and responsive templates.
The main reason that I stopped using iWeb for new sites is that it can't produce responsive designs for mobile devices such as the iPhone. To extend its life, I did come up with an idea for producing a mobile version which may help some iWeb users...

• Published Site Does Not Match Design File

I've published a website but it does not match the design file.  It's showing an older version that has since been changed and not sure why it's picking up something I've updated and saved over many times.  Thanks for any and all help.

And now I'm seeing a problem of a similar nature.  The design and preview show a smooth transition between all pages, but the published site shows the logo in the upper left "jumping" when I leave the home page.  I've checked the page properties between all of the pages and they seem to be set the same.  I am using only one master page for all of the pages.  Any ideas on why this would be occurring?  The website is jacksoncompany.net.

• Published site does not match saved file

I need to make some changes to an iweb created website, but when I open the domain file in iweb only 2 pages ( show up in the side bar. The last time I saved this file, I had 10 pages. When I press "visit site" all of the pages show up.
Is this some sort of glitch? Can I do something to retrieve these pages or will I have to start from scratch?
Any help greatly appreciated!

• Match Regular Expression does not match what Match Pattern does

I have read through a lot of posts about how Match Pattern does not match what Match Regular Expression will due to not processing some characters.
However, I found a problem with the other way. A simple Reg-Ex that works in Match Pattern but not Match Regular Expression.
What I have here is just an example. I want to use Match Regular Expression so I can specify some sub-matches.
The reg-ex is for: one or more non-numeric characters, a space, one or more numeric characters. At the start of the string.
How can I get this working in Match Regular Expression? I am working in LabVIEW 2010f2 32 bit. Here is the code snippet and the results:

I think I prefer the ~ for negation since ^ is also used for beginning of the string. But we work with what we have.
Let me offer you a tip and perhaps defend the honor of the regex a little bit.  One of my favorite features of regexes is the ability to specify character classes (and their negation).  One of the reasons I have to think about the ~ versus ^ is that I rarely use ^ in a regex alternative.
Some examples:
[0-9] = \d (digit)
[^0-9] = \D (not a digit)
The equivalent regex for your case is: \D+ \d+

• WhenI make changes to website, published site does not recognize

Recently I added Pay Pal to my site. Then when I vistied my site I found some of my edited pictures looked as though they had both prior "masks" and current.i.e. oval now looks like oval and square. I even went back and re-ddi the picture edits. They look fine in the edit iweb page, but not the published page.HELP! please.

i wasnt sure to whether to start a new topic or not but i am having the same difficulty. Here is my problem and information. Any help would be brilliant.
Computer:Macbok Pro, OSX 10.6.8
iWeb version 3.0.4
Mobile me
Everything works perfectly, except one slight glitch when modifying changes in iweb and i publish my saved site to my mobile me hosting (via safari), the published website does not show up like my saved and now published iweb website??
I contacted mobile me, who said "unfortunately that's not actually a publishing issue. This is going to be more along the lines of your settings within iWeb itself. As a MobileME/iCloud agent, I can only assist you in making sure your website publishes correctly. For assistance with the actual iWeb Application, you will need to contact iWeb support directly."
This would be fine although i no longer have apple support in my account, so im stuck. Other changes are showing on teh online site? its just one change which is my navigation menu is showing on two lines instead of one as it is on my iweb application. I have had no error messages come through when publishing my site.
I do not want to re-upload iweb as it works perfectly apart form this, but if it wont change this what will it not change next. Also i have other sites saved on my iweb and i dont want to lose them if u were to install iweb again, not that i'd even know how to.
Any help would be really appreciated, thanks guys.

• Count and size of photos in iTunes does not match what is on my iPhone

I have 2 different iPhone 6 phones. For each of them, the number of photos on the phone does not match the number of photos shown in iTunes. For example, one of my iPhones has fewer than 400 photos; however, when I connect the phone to iTunes on my computer, the usage bar at the bottom shows that there are more than 2500 photos accounting for 2.5GB. I suspect that iTunes is including photos that I have deleted from my phone. Are the additional 2100 "phantom photos" actually taking up space on my phone, and what can I do to make iTunes match what is actually on my phone?

• Song file and info in iTunes does not match what plays

Hi I have a question. I purchased an album in the iTunes store and it worked fine. A few days later it was released that the iTunes Plus version was available and I could upgrade it. So I did that. After I did that I know notice that the file on my system and in iTunes does not match the song that plays. The order in the system and iTunes is correct. Is there a way that I can fix this so that the file and the title match the correct song without having to delete it and repurchase the album?

Don't repurchase it - you'll just be out more money.
contact itS and report this problem.

Their first reply will be nonsense, but reply back to THAT and you may get somewhere.

• Formatting of published page does not match working view

I have iWeb '08 version 2.0.2. I have various text underlined in my working copy mingled with text that is not underlined. (For example, underlined book titles followed by author's names.) When I publish it, and go to view the page online, everything is underlined. Does anybody know what I could be doing wrong?
Thanks, Jennifer.

To see if it is a publishing problem or an iWeb problem you can publish your site to a folder on the desktop and double click the index.html file to launch your site in the browser and check out the offending page.
If its OK then you have a publishing problem.
If you are publishing to .Mac try a "Publish All to .Mac".

• HT4847 What window?  The site tells me to find the little gear at the top of the window to delet old mail.  The site does not say what window.  It sure is not the one I was in.  Does anyone have suggestions so that I can free up Icloud storage?

Can anyone help someone not tech savvy, but not an idiot follow Apple rules?  How do I free up space on the cloud?  I want to erase old e-mails, and the site says to go to the gear at the top of the window.  The trouble is, I do  not know what window.  Help?

I believe you are talking about deleting unneeded emails on icloud.com.  You do this by going to icloud.com on your computer, signing in with your iCloud ID and password, clicking on Mail, clicking your inbox or folders on the left side, then selecting email to the right that you no longer need, then clicking on the trach can icon at the top.  After deleting all the email you no longer want to keep, you need to empty the trash to permanently remove it from your iCloud account.  To do this, click on the gear shaped icon on the upper right and select Empty Trash (see image below).

• Published Site Does Not Display Images

Hey there, I'm having some troubled with the new iWeb (Part of iLife 09). Here is a picture of what my site looks like in the iWeb application:

Here is what happens when I publish the site, then view it on a web browser:

Or you can check the site's problems yourself directly: http://www.apperreviews.com/
I would really appreciate any help that could get the images displaying properly. By the way, the black boxes are made with iWeb's shapes, and I am uploading via FTP.

Look at Safari > Window > Activity. There seem to be a bunch of errors from some other url.

• Publish view does not match the Preview

The preview of my site had the "hands" image taking up the entire width. But, in the publish view, it is not filling the page.
How do I fix it?

• Content on iPod touch does not match what is in iTunes

Running Windows 7 64 bit, iTunes is reporting it is latest and greatest, as is iPod touch. When I tried to move some songs I purchased today to my iPod via iTunes, my system crashed. Tried a few times and it kept crashing. It would transfer 1 maybe 2 songs then crash. I've not installed anything new, nor have I had this problem in the past and the crashes only occur when transferring music. Anyway, after the last crash I was checking my version on iPod touch and noticed it says I have only 2 gig left on space. Yet when I go to my Music I only have 3 songs. In addition, when I plug my ipod into my computer, iTunes sees all my old music from the iPod (listed under devices) AND it will play those songs. From my iPod those songs do not seem to exist but are still taking up space. I am in the process of restoring my iPod but I am curious if anybody has had the same issue, if so what was your resolution... as well as any suggestions. Thanks, Sandy

Ok, so now I have restored several times to get the same result. My iTunes will not sync my iPod touch. I have reinstalled iTunes for Windows 7 64 bit version. Restarted the computer several times. It appears to be syncing, then an error will pop up that says the iPod could not be written to. Again, in iTunes it shows there are songs on the iPod, but when you access the iPod directly, there are no songs on it. What to do? Is it possible the hard drive in the iPod is going bad?

• Printed PDF does not match what is on screen

Not sure this is the right place to post (have just posted on Adobe's equivalent of this - belt and braces), but I am having an issue with PDFs when printed vs. what they look like on screen.
In short, when they are printed, it is as if there are some margins someplace that result in the printed image being reduced in size. I do not know if this is an issue with Acrobat Reader 5 on OSX, an issue with how Reader is reading the PDF, or what, so ideas would be welcome.
The PDF's are being created in Illustrator 9.x running under Classic and there are no margins coming through from that application (they have been removed, just in case). I know that upgrading to OSX versions would be smart, but it is very expensive and the PDF, if it lives up to its name. ought to behave properly!
I am looking at this MO, because my OS9 compatible printer died recently and there are no drivers for OS9 for the new one, so i cannot (reliably) print directly from the OS9 apps to the new printer, hence going via PDF. The problem was present with the old printer as well, but as I could go direct from the apps to that, it didn't matter.
Happy to clarify further if needed.

Try using the "classic" PrintToPDF @ http://www.jwwalker.com/pages/pdf.html
This way you will be creating a PDF file using classic instead of OS X's Print To PDF.
 Cheers, Tom

• Captivate preview and publish text does not match slide. (Magic Shrinking Text)

The text size on the Captivate slide matches the PowerPoint. So far so good.
When I preview (or publish) the SCORM module, the text shows up as a smaller size and moved to the left. I don't understand why it doesn't match the original captivate slide. It seems like it's arbitrarily shrinking some of the text. (Other slides come across just fine.)

• Current Flash Version listed Does not Match What gets downloaded

I saw that Adobe Flash 16.0.0.287 is available here: http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/distribution3.html
The version I downloaded is still 16.0.0.257
Please fix!
Thanks.

AAMOF, this is the reason I came to the forum as well.
Adobe - Flash Player says current Flash for Chrome is 16.0.0.287 but the same page says that I have version 16,0,0,257 installed
How do we get Chrome/Adobe to update?
The reason I'm doing this because at the Walgreens AND Walmart websites, when I choose a store to print photo's at, the tab I'm in closes. The first thing Walgreens tech people say to do is make sure java and flash are up to date...
