IWeb just "quits"

I have all new iweb and system, I open iWeb, click on a page to open and edit it - then iWeb just "Quits". A few pages will open, but most I get a quit. Anyone having the same? Any solution?
What good is iWeb update when you can not even run the program.

IWeb keeps quitting on me!

I've been using iWeb 08 almost everyday since it came out last year. I have 8 websites, and two hostings. My mac wokrs just fine, the internet too, up until I recently did my software update for mobileme. I was remaking the websites with all sorts of fun texture fills and so on, and publishing time came.
Instead of it going through, it quit after the publishing in the background message, it's been doing the same very same exact thing repeatedly for two days.
I've sent each 'report to apple' but know I won't get a reply.
I made sure I'm logged it, it has the new graphics and the green light at the bottom, the new mobileme text next to publish to my personal domain.
Everything on the surface looks great. I've tried quitting all applications (something I never needed to do before) I have no open internet windows, I've tried everything, but it just quits. I've been editing films for weeks and wanted to add them, rather frustrated at the moment as I can't do a thing.
Has anyone oa solution to publishing my website. It worked like a dream with .mac and now it won't work at all. I live in Thailand, not that it should make a difference.

First of all, thank you for replying to me, now I know I'm not the only iWeb user having problems right now, I'm sorry to hear about your problems too.
I have to remind myself all the time that iWeb wasn't launched as a publishing tool for commercial websites.
However, I'm sure lots of creative non-web-specialists must have wanted to present their work on the net, up-grade from myspace, without necessarily wanting studying webdesign or pay for a professionally made site. That was us.
At its launch, iWeb promoted a range of family blog-photo-videosharing website templates, and threw in a few semi-professional looking photography templates, perhaps appealing to someone with more photographic enthusiasm than skill and patience with CSS and webdesign.
So there was the temptation for all sorts of people like artists, designers musicians in addition to "Matt's Photograpy" etc to launch sites for their work, even though mac mainly focused its promotions on family events.
My issue with that was I felt that the iMac was usually in the hands of a photo/ graphic/film enthusiast, probably more often than the average skateboarding teenager - blogger. Not that there's anything wrong with skateboarding of course, but these kind of night-life and baby templates however useful to other people without a desire for a website necessarily, my heart sank as an artist when I saw the template range. A conscious decision must have been made in the apple headquarters to restrain the range for other web publishing technical reasons.
So, maybe you are like me, and set to work on tweaking.
It's easy and fun to take out elements from differnt templates and intermix the fills and textures, change the colours in photoshop, look around Flicker and so on for textures and you can use them everywhere in iWeb. It hs the potentioanl to be a lot more fun than it currently is. If it came with fill-library and buttons and bars and so on, but I'm sure many of us messed around and soon learned how to get them, save them and apply them in iWeb.
My major grumble is how iWeb doubles the initial file size but don't get me started on that!, even with web optimization off, and if you dare just add one of the wobbly graphic pen line frames the transparency issue can bump up that photo you dropped fron a web-saved jpeg to a png 17 times larger. When you back download your published files and so on, you can compare the sizes, it's an alarming pastime.
I was hoping mobileme would improve the loading of my sites, maybe the connection to iDisc takes longer to get in and process the code than the average server, so our .mac (now mobileme) sites appear as a blank while page sometimes averaging 15 seconds on an avearge broadband connection... when your mayspace, youtube, facebook etc is open in a few seconds. Our sites take so long to open that non-close family members complain and are tempted to click away to another sites.
So, that all relates back perfectly to the iWeb promotions and the family-type photo video sharing sent out after last year after the launch. It's perfect for that.

I just spent three days re-doing one of the websites, but now it won't publish. I sit here and try again and again, it just quits again and again. I have never had this with iWeb ever. It never quit when I was working, it never quit when I was publishing. The only time in almost a year I had a few hours to wait a little was last New year when the servers were very busy. So, now mobileme is here, mypublishing is ---- imobile.
I always save in iWeb as I go along, it's an old habit I got into with iMove HD. iMovie saves for you as you go, a fantastic improvement.
Publishing with iWeb used to be the easiest part of the process, now, for me, it's only part that won't work.
I notice with mixed feelings of joy and despair that mobileme gave an extra 10 GB (which means I just got an extra 20 GB with my two hosting) ... sadly, nothing will publish anymore, so maybe I won't be able to use it after all
I'm hoping that if I keep on tying time and again to publish, watch the pages be made, get the publish in the background message, all day everyday, one day the problem will go away and just correct itself.

IWeb keeps quitting during publishing process

I've been using iWeb with my MobileMe account for over 6 months now, there are always some occasional publishing problems, especially since I travelled to Australia where the internet connection doesn't seem to be too fast. But now I've hit a dead end and nothing seems to help any more.
Every time I try to publish my blog it gets stuck on the creating page: "Archive" bar and then quits. This has been going on for days and I have no idea where to even start looking for possible problems with my Archive page... Publishing to a local folder doesn't seem to give any better results either. At first I thought it had something to do with enabling comments, but I've tried either way and the result is still the aggravating "iWeb quit unexpectedly" message.
I have another website built in iWeb that I've only recently started publishing through MobileMe. This one goes through all the 'creating page' process without problems, but it always seems to get stuck on the last 1-5% of publication process, no matter how long i leave the program running. The end result is a "publish error" message, but at least the updates are online...
I've updated iWeb and tried several other things. I really need to publish my blog updates! Please help!

I have tried several different things such as emptying the cache and deleting the iWeb preferences. I also created a new page and published it to a local folder, it worked perfectly well. Finally I tried publishing my blog to a different folder than I usually do. Same problem persisted: the application froze and quit while the process bar was on 'creating Archive page' (no error message displayed). When I opened the folder that had been created I discovered that Archive files had in fact been created and functioned properly. This means that the files that come next in the publishing process are the ones causing problems: Photos. In fact, I've tried to open the photo album page and every time I click on it the application just quits. Can't even delete the page to get rid of the problematic files...

IWeb spontaneously quitting

Help! I've had my site/blog up on .mac for a good six months now. I update my blog fairly often (several times a week usually), and have never had problems with publishing until now. Starting last Monday, whenever I try to publish my blog, it seems to go fine, but then just spontaneously quits about 10 minutes into creating the archive. This has happened repeatedly. My location, computer and internet connection have not changed. I've gone the route where I deleted everything on my iDisk and republished everything (on Saturday) and that worked okay, but again, since then when I try to publish something new to my blog, it spontaneously quits. Any suggestions?

Well, if you don't get any other suggestions, I guess the first thing to do would be to BACKUP your "Domain" file and put it somewhere safe. This "Domain" file is located in your harddrive/Users/yourname/Library/Application Support/iWeb/ folder. It is the file to which iWeb saves EVERYTHING. So back it up right now.
Then I guess I would try to delete the iWeb preferences file "com.apple.iWeb.plist" which is located in your /Users/yourname/Library/Preferences/ folder.
If this doesn't work, then hopefully a reinstall of iWeb will solve things. Use your install disks and then update to iWeb 1.1.1 using the downloaded DMG file downloaded from Apple directly here...

As long as you saved your sites beforehand, then rather than opening iWeb directly, go and open your domain file instead.
You will find it under User/Library/Application Support/iWeb/domain.sites2. Just double click to open it and look under your User Library and not your System Library as iWeb is not there.

Do a backup.
Go to Finder and select your user/home folder. With that Finder window as the front window, either select Finder/View/Show View options or go command - J. When the View options opens, check ’Show Library Folder’. That should make your user library folder visible in your user/home folder. Select Library. Then go to Preferences/com.apple.Safari.plist. Move the .plist to your desktop.
Restart, open the application and test. If it works okay, delete the plist from the desktop.
If the application is the same, return the .plist to where you got it from, overwriting the newer one.

Upgrade from 2012 to 2012 R2 just quits

We have the task to upgrade a physical server HP DL360 G6. It is running Windows 2012 Datacenter with Hyper-V role and the target is to do in-place upgrade to Windows 2012 R2 Datacenter.
The DVD burned with official 2012 R2 .iso is inserted in DVD tray of server, I started install and after message "Setup is copying files..." and "Setup is starting...", then the install process just quits with no error.
No Panther\setupact.log and Panther\setuperr.log in C:\$WINDOWS.~BT\Sources.
The file C:\Windows\setuperr.log has no content and C:\Windows\setupact.log has no errors mentioned:

Based on your description, we need to make sure all VMs have been shutdown before doing the upgrade.

Epson Scan and Mac OSX 10.5.4 - Application just quits

I have a Epson 4180 Scanner and have access to 3 Macs. Two of the macs are running 10.5.4, and the other is running 10.4.11. When I launch "Epson Scan" on either of the Leopard computers, the application bounces on the dock and then just quits. It runs fine on the Mac running Tiger. I have uninstalled/reinstalled the application, repaired disk permissions, repaired pre-binding, and thrown away preferences to no avail. I spent over 2 hours on tech support with Epson, and they say it is an Apple OS issue.
Are there any other programs I can use ? (Image Capture sees the scanner, but does not preview the image nor allow changes in resolution settings).
Any help would be great!

In general it's an Epson issue in not supporting Leopard. Be sure you have the very latest Epson software and sometimes it's necessary to uninstall and reinstall it.

Have you tried restarting or resetting your iPad?
Restart: Press On/Off button until the Slide to Power Off slider appears, select Slide to Power Off and, after the iPad shuts down, then press the On/Off button until the Apple logo appears.
Reset: Press the Home and On/Off buttons at the same time and hold them until the Apple logo appears (about 10 seconds). Ignore the "Slide to power off"

I got this suggestion but was unable to duplicate all the steps...
Ok so I tried this finally and got it to work: this might be long but a shortened version:
. Connect the device to the computer via usb.
2. In android settings go to About device and double tap on build id 7 times
3. Go back and now see the developer menu
4. Open and enable remote debugging
5. Open up Firefox on the android go to settings > devloper tools and check remote debugging
6. From Desktop go to Tools > Connect
7. Open Tools > Console
8. Click on gear and on the far right click on "Remote debugging for this session only"
9. [adb sdk install required] in a terminal window
adb devices
make sure a device is listed.
10. On desktop in the window that openned up when you opened up connect click on connect
11. Immediately after run this in the terminal:
adb forward tcp:6000 localfilesystem:/data/data/org.mozilla.firefox/firefox-debugger-socket
12. On the device hit enable on the connection
13. should be connected on the connect and click on the remote tabs.
14 the logs will start to show up in the console.
15. If you need adb log cat logs run in the terminal before you start to test:
adb logcat > text.txt

The "Tools" are in the old drop down menu, which are not shown by default in the new Firefox Design. To show this menu:
Firefox Menu > Customize
On the bottom left there will be Show/Hide Toolbars. The Menu will be listed here.

It had a program called deep freeze on it when I first obtained it. That program would not allow me to make any changes or save anything. A friend gave me a disk and I installed it and it took that program away. It was working fine and then as I said, just quit. I got the computer from an auction from a community college and deep freeze was the program they used to make sure the students using the computers couldn't change anything. When ever the computer got turned off, it would default back to factory settings. When it first turned off and wouldn't start again, I tried taking out one of the two memory sticks and it worked. I then went and bought two new memory sticks and installed them and it worked ok. Then it started doing the same thing again.

Usually if you have some kind of hardware failure there is some beeping during POST or most motherboards now have LED indicators to produce and error message based on the type of failure
So if its bad memory, not place properly, mismatched, processor not inserted properly, mismatched voltage or voltage connector not present etc it beeps or generates the error id.
Power supplies can be tested for failure. There are some walk throughs for testing just them with a switch, paperclip or a jumper (I'd suggest not doing this if you are not familiar with the dangers of electricity).
Memory can be tested with memory diagnostics programs like Memtest+
Processors can overheat if the proper precautions have not been taken usually you will get a POST beep or error code for that.
If the motherboard has no response then do the basics first:
Check power connectors and power supply. Once you determine that is not the case move on to other items like graphics cards in all the way or memory.

When I use find file http://www.macupdate.com/app/mac/30073/find-file (which does tend to find files that "Finder" can't), it's not coming up with any other itunes library files that have been modified in the past week, which I know it would have been - unfortunately, I don't have a very recent backup of the hard drive. It would be a few months old so it wouldn't have the complete library on it....any ideas? I'm wondering if restarting the computer might help but have been afraid to do so in case it would make it harder to recover anything...I was looking at this thread https://discussions.apple.com/thread/4211589?start=0&tstart=0 in the hopes that it might have a helpful suggestion but it's definitely a different scenario.
