Iphone ruined my macbook pro retina batterie? is this possible?

I have a macbook pro retina 15" and sudenly the batterie stoped charging.
A few nights before i left my iphone 4 conected to it because i had no charge on it. Later in that morning the iphone was charged (and the laptop wasnt connected to the ac charger)
I went away for a week without the laptop and when i returned and tryed to charge the computer. So i pluged the charger. 6 hours after, the red light in the charger was still on. (The charger is brand new, bought online in november 2013)
I found it strange and pressed the power button on the laptop.
it started normally while connected and the battery icon said it has 28% of battery, but it also has the info that its not charging and to replace the batery. A few minutes after using the laptop it sudenly turns off. I unplug the charger and it doenst power on hen i press the power button, but when i connect the charger he assumes it and powers on automaticly. I also made the SMC reset but with no positive result.
The one year warranty expired two months ago, and since it was bought on the USA and i live in Portugal im having some issues trying to solve this.
I went today to a mac premium store here in Lisbon, Portugal and they sayd i have to replace the top bottom (?) where the battery is located. They just asked for 530€ (aprox 750 dollars) just for the replacement part.
The guy from the store said that you should never leave your macbook pro stored with 100% battery, always between 40 and 60%, is this true?
Im having a huge trouble in acepting this because i dont use the laptop while charging, i always let it almost empty before charging again. and i dont use it a daily basis.
Is it possible a computer so expensive has so many problems?
Someone has an opinion or idea?

Start by calling Apple Support at the country number from http://support.apple.com/kb/HE57 as the info from the person you talked with is incorrect.
You can leave the MBP with a full charge with no problems, in fact that is the best thing to do.
The iPhone charging did not damage the MBP battery, the failure of that battery is another issue.
When you say you bought the MBP charger on-line, is it an Apple charger or third-party charger? Many thiord-party chargers do not output the correct power (voltage and current) for the computer and do cause damage to the battery and charging circuitry.
Talk with the Apple Support people and see what they recommend and how to proceed.

My granddaughter has informed me (after having her iPhone 4 repaired, for a broken screen) that she was told by the repairer that charging a phone overnight every night will not only overcharge the battery (and reduce the life off the battery), but also can result in the battery swelling and breaking the screen and/or the back glass of the phone.
I have googled this question and observed that there are 50/50 remarks within a variety of blogs about this, (it seems there are a lot of rumours about overcharging) obviously there are some really silly responses to the "overcharging" theory, and some that do seem to almost come with some authority. Some say charging every night will definitely damage the battery, some say it will definitely not damage the battery.
I personally don't believe these rumours to be true, but thought it best to ask the experts, hence this question.
Please let me know if there is any truth to this rumour, so that I can reassure not only myself, but also my children and grandchildren, who are now scared of charging their phones.

I'd already be happy if the next gen iPhone would finally get:
- much better battery with at least a full day of normal use, better make that two. I don't want to have to charge the thing twice a day, in fact, I am often unable to charge before I get home in the evening.
- full featured, uncrippled bluetooth 2.0 or better 2.1 (including data connections and stereo headset support) it's really annoying not being able to quickly send a contact to a coworker via BT and not be able to use iPhone with my in-car GPS which pulls traffic information from TomTom via BT Internet access
- a less basic and limited, more complete Text messaging app with templates character count and all the other bells and whistles current phones from established manufacturers have.
- individual forwarding options for "busy", "no coverage", "not answered" like any other contemporary mobile handset. right now forwarding to voice mail is all or nothing.
- Generally a more complete core movile handset feature set that is on par with current handsets from the likes of Nokia, Sony-Ericsson, Samsung, LG and the like. Better yet Apple should show those guys that they can do one better instead of lagging years behind in core handset functions.
- Multimedia messaging (MMS) support
- Task / To-do sync support
- Video capture support
- Better camera with flash
- Memory card support (Micro SD or similar)

You can use any brand of battery that outputs to 10w USB. How you recharge that battery is a different matter. You might want to look at stores that cater to RV or other outdoor lifestlyes, for a solar charger/battery ensemble.

Did they drink the water?
Using the battery level meter in this manner is comparable to using your car's fuel gauge to calculate miles per gallon. The only thing that matters is the total amount of operating time from full charge to auto-shutdown.
Use the wall-mount charger that came with the iPad or another 10W/12W Apple charger and, one at a time, charge both units overnight. Do NOT use an iPod/iPhone (5W) charger. Do NOT use a computer's USB port. Then, operate it normally until auto shut-down (ignore any low level alerts that may appear). An irony is that doing that test to determine the total operating time is also the procedure necessary to calibrate the battery level meter.
I'm not claiming that you do not have a problem. I am stating, however, that we don't yet know. If the above test does, in fact, indicate a problem, read this.

For proper reporting of the battery’s state of charge, be sure to go through at least one charge cycle per month (charging the battery to 100% and then completely running it down).

There is no reason to be running beta software, I doubt it will even still run as iOS 6 has been officially released. Or were you simply trying to be funny?
Basic troubleshooting from the User's Guide is reset, restart, restore (first from backup then as new). Try each of these in order until the issue is resolved.

J'ai un soucis comme pas mal de gens je crois.
J'ai un iPhone 5 et j'ai fait la mise à jour 6.0.2, et je constate vraiment une diminution de l'autonomie de la batterie.
Est ce que quequ'un sait quand est ce que une mise à jour qui corige se defaut arrivera ?

Je viens de m'apercevoir qu'en fait, cela ne me faisait ca que pour les impression écran, donc ca reste limité cava.
Cependant ca signifie que quand tu appuies a la fois sur l ebouton homle et sur le bouton de verrouillage, pour faire impression écran, et bien lorsque tu essaye de la recadrer ou quoi ca ne marche pas et ca éteint presque le téléphone.
Voila tout.
Avez vous par ailleurs constaté un gros gain d'autonomie en terme de batterie ou pas? j'aimerais avoir des retours.

Your terminology is confusing... If you are describing the USB power adapter (that plugs into a wall outlet) that you use to charge your iPhone, you can use the same connection to charge your iPod nano.

J'ai un problème avec mon iphone 4S.
Je l'ai reçu hier et l'autonomie ne tient pas 6h. Via le Cloud, j'ai restauré mes données de mon 3GS (contacts, mails, applications). De plus, j'ai effectué la mise à jour 5.1
Avez-vous le même problème?

J'ai le même probleme que vous et n'ai toujours pas trouvé de solution ! Mon iphone est NEUF (moins d'un mois), et il ne tient pas la journée, je dois le recharger 2 fois par jours sans l'utiliser plus que ca, je trouve ca aberant ! (je perds environ entre 5% et 10% par heure)
Je m'explique dans mon utilisation :
- Je laisse la 3G désactivée (sauf lorsque je fais des recherches, mais pas plus de 20 min par jours apres jela redesactive)
- Je ne passe pas plus de 20 minutes par jours en appel environ
- J'écris une cinquantaine de SMS et iMessages par jours
- J'ai désactivé la plupart des push et données de localisation (à part le GPS dont je me sert rarement, une SEULE boite mail en push toute les demies heures)
- Je ne joue pas vraiment (moins de 10 min par jours)
- Je désactive le WI-FI (je ne l'utilise uniquement lorsque je suis chez moi et que j'ai une recherche a effectuer comme pour la 3G)
- J'écoute la musique moins d'une heure par jours.
Remarque : je suis chez Free mobile (itinerance avec orange utilisant beaucoup de batterie), mais parmis mes amis dans le meme cas que moi, je suis le pire ! (Free Mobile n'est pas le seul responsable)
Le plus dur dans tout ça c'est que je l'ai payé le prix fort : 630€ dans un Apple Store !
Je commence à regreter de m'etre debarassé de mon iphone 4 qui tenait bien plus d'une journée WIFI et 3G activés, en jouant et ecoutant de la musique (+ push, données de localisation, 5 boites mails)
SI QUELQU'UN EST DANS LE MEME CAS QUE MOI OU A UNE SOLUTION, JE LE REMERCIE D'AVANCE POUR SON AIDE !!

Je constqte depuis que j'ai achete mon iphone 4s 64gb a 850 euros hier que j'ai deja bientot plus de batterie........
Je suis vraiment insatisfait. Mon 3GS et mon iphone 4 avaient une batterie bien mieux,
J'espere que le probleme va etre regle dans moins de quelques semaines.
Pour vendre des appareils deffaillants vous etes rapides, j'espere que pour trouver la solution vous le serez tout autant.
Je suis vraiment pas content de mon achat pourtant je l'attendai avec impatience.

Illustrator CC uses the Pantone Plus series, there is no CMYK definition for the spot colours in these series.
The CMYK conversion is now based on the CMYK profile in your Color Settings.
This is a good thing, since most of the Pantone colours cannot be accurately reproduced in CMYK, colour management provides a way to simulate the spot colours as close as possible for your combination of ink, paper and press.
The CMYK values that were previously given by Pantone were just one way of simulating the spot colours and would give different results when another ink, paper, press combination was used.
Sometimes the CMYK values from Pantone were completely off and you give a perfect example with the Pantone 1797 U colour.
Printing that ink on uncoated stock would never give you such a bright saturated red as the Pantone provided CMYK values would suggest
If you want to have a better preview of the colour, use the Overprint Preview option, that comes closer to the final printed result. The Overprint preview in CC and CS versions give s you an almost identical preview (almost because the Lab values differ slightly).
There are ways to use the old libraries, but why should you if Pantone itself stopped giving CMYK numbers?
