  • HAVE AOL AS HOME PAGE AND SAYS CANNOT FIND SERVER

I have an older edition of Mozilla b/cause of issues with lab info. I have had aol as my home page for 3 years and now is telling me cannot find the server. When I go to internet explorer it tells me the same thing. NOT my internet conncection, because it is working fine, lab is internet based. Please help, CAN not switch to a new version of Mozilla

If that page is working in either Firefox or IE, maybe that page is gone?? Or something on that PC is blocking that page from being loaded,by any web browser?
Do you have any problem loading any other web pages with Firefox?

  • Using Firefox and trying to get AOL as home page..no matter what I do - facebook home page keeps coming up...any ideas on how to get rid of the facebook home page. Thanks.

I went to AOL page and moved the aol icon to the house....and also went to tools options and changed to the aol address.....all okay until I reboot then the facebook home page comes back.

I'm running Win XP and have found a solution to this problem.
The Norton Utilities software has a 'disk cleanup' function.
I ran this to get rid of all nonwindows code in my computer.
Afterwards, I edited the program registry. using START>RUN
and typing REGEDIT into the dialog box for the program name. Using
the 'edit' function and the 'find' function in REGEDIT, I located all
instances of the string 'searchqu/406',Changing all of them to 'google.com'.
Just for good measure, I ran the registry scanning function in my Norton Utilities software. The problem hasn't come back.
I then changed my homepage back to my ISP's homepage. The problem hasn't come back, even after closing the browser

  • Aol is home page on firefox and everytime i open message it redirects to bing, this does not happen on IE

when i get mail and open it it redirects and the only way to read it on firefox is to fake it into thinking im forwarding it. the mail works fine on ie7 and help from aol shows no problem there

Check out your zoom settings for that page.
    Your zoom controls.

  • On aol message home page has garbage phrases and does not make sense, but on internet explorer I have no problems.

question is stated above. No problem with internet explorer. All kinds of scripts appear when using aol with Moz.

    Perform the steps :

You must run AD Administration "Maintain snapshot information" once
for each APPL_TOP before you can apply any patch that contains a "

  • After Firefox opens my AOL home page a blank popup appears and prevents me from closing Firefox or opening the options button . How do I fix this?

I can get to my home page with the Explorer browser. The problem is only on Firefox. I've run Spybot, Malwarebytes, and scanned with Microsoft Security Essentials, but the problem persists. I recently updated Firefox for AOL. And last night I installed updates for my Windows 7 operating system.
I just tried to automatically add troubleshooting information, but I'm using Explorer right now since I can't use Firefox, so the I can't download the file. Since I can't use Firefox I can't use the manual steps either.

    Go to Tools --> Options.
In the Advanced tab go to "General". Uncheck the check box "Warn me when websites try to redirect or reload the page"

    Hello All,
How do you add Notification Worklist to the Home page for a responsibility?
    Thanks,

Query the responsibility that you want to add the worklist to get the menu associated to it, then query up the menu and add the Advanced Workflow Worklist function to the menu along with a prompt like Worklist.

  • Somebody please help and quit putting me off!@!! cannont get onto my home page AOL

For the second time, I have used an older version of Mozilla for 3 years and cannot switch to any newer version b/cause of compatability with the lab server. For the past 2 weeks, AOL is my home page and with I hit Mozilla, I get the message that the server cannot be found,---my internet connection is working and has been checked. When loging on to Yahoo, I get the same message??? What is going on

    Hi,
Try holding the home and the power button together for about 5-10 seconds and see if you see Apple logo on the screen if not it might be a hardware issue if you do whoop issue resolved.

  • Why do I get the AOL home page when I click to start Foxfire?

I have downloaded Firefox software several times...when I click on the ilcon the screen goes to the AOL home page...AOL is NOT one of my programs and I don/t have it in my computor...what do I do to get Firfox to appear ?

Sorry, I misunderstood. So for example on the navigation bar there is the word Food which is a link to http://womenspeakers.com/food and when you click that, you end up at Google?
In case one of your extensions is involved, could you test the site in Firefox's Safe Mode? That's a standard diagnostic tool to deactivate extensions, hardware acceleration, and some advanced features of Firefox. More info: [[Troubleshoot Firefox issues using Safe Mode]].
You can restart Firefox in Safe Mode using either:
    * "3-bar" menu button > "?" button > Restart with Add-ons Disabled
    * Help menu > Restart with Add-ons Disabled
Not all add-ons are disabled: Flash and other plugins still run
After Firefox shuts down, a small dialog should appear. Click "Start in Safe Mode" (''not'' Reset).
    Any difference?

  • A update down is on my AOL home page is it legitament?

I have a update down load on my AOL> home page is it legitimate? Or will I get hacked???

    I doubt it.
    Yes, probably.
You can open the Menu Panel with the "3-bar" button on the right-side of the Navigation Toolbar, then hit the '''?''' button at the bottom of that Panel.
Then open '''''About Firefox''''' and use the '''Check for Updates''' button to get the new version of Firefox 36.
Basically, don't ever use any "bars" or buttons on any website for Firefox updates.

  • AOL home page loads fine but instead of listing mail I get "It works"!

That statement really says it all!
My AOL mail does not display, I get a page which says only "It Works"!
I updated, removed,re-installed, makes no difference. I gave up & used IE (no problem). I then needed to see a genealogy item not supported by IE and Firefox was suggested so I downloaded again.
    Same annoying result
My desktop runs windows 7 home premium.

*Search <b>browser.startup.homepage</b> and change the value to <b>google.com</b>
*Search <b>browser.newtab.url</b> and change the value to <b>about:newtab</b>
*Uninstall the delta search from Extension/Toolbar
In order to uninstall a possibly unwanted extension, please do the following:
#From the Firefox window click the Firefox button at the top left and select ''Add-ons'', or, if the Firefox button is not shown, click the ''Tools'' menu and click ''Add-ons''.
#Once the Add-on Manager has opened in a new tab, click the ''Extensions'' button on the left side of the window.
#You should now see a list of your installed extensions on the right side together with buttons on the right side of each extension.
#To remove an extension from Firefox, simply click the ''Remove'' button. You should see a message that informs you about the successful removal of the add-on.
#Note that some add-ons require a Firefox restart to be removed completely. To perform a Firefox restart after the add-on removal, click the ''Restart now'' link in the message.
