JAR containing HTML files??

I am using Forte for Java ME to compile and debug my application.
When I view the contents of the JAR file, I see that it contains serveral HTML files. These HTML files are adding about 50K to the size of my application.
Can anyone tell me why these HTML files are being added? I do not include them in the MIDlet suite. I am only including class files.

Include many jars for a complex signed applet in html file??

I'd like to know how it's possible to put a signed applet in an html file, that needs many jar files.
I explain myself: I know that to create a signed applet and to put it in an html file, I need to create a Jar file that contains this applet, create a private key with keytool, sign the jar and include it in my html file with the tag <applet code="....." archive="......jar".... />
This works fine if my applet is a simple program that only uses the clases present by default in the jdk.
In my case, I have a big project, with many packages. In one of these packages, I have my applet that uses some classes of the other packages, which use classes from imported jars, such as BouncyCastle, and others...
There is still no problem when I run the applet from the applet viewer.
The problem appears when I put the JAR file with all these classes in the html file: there is a problem since it doesn't know anything of these classes imported from these jars.. It's quite obvious actually.
My question is: how do I do to make the html file aware of these classes? Is there an html tag that allows us to include many jar files? Do I have to decompress all these jars, take all the directories, add them to the directories of my project and create a BIG jar (that's what I did, but it's really dirty, and heavy! (11M))??
Does anyone have an idea about how I can do it?

11 MB is pretty big for an applet.
Let's say your applet uses java 3d, normally a client would download and
install this seporately, meaning the jars needed end up in lib/ext directory where
any applet can find them.
Check what applets need to be installed (put in lib/ext) and what can be
downloaded:

Retrieving URL for local html file in jar

I can't seem to load an html file from my jar file. I did

Is the jar on the classpath? If not, the file can't be found.

it is not opening ... so i have to ship seperate folders for html files along with jar files.... can anyone give the solution to have(open) html files inside the jar file and to open then in a default browser of any OS

Problem launching Firefox from Windows with file path that contains space characters in the html file's file name

We have a software application that programmatically launches the default web browser using the Windows shell execute function ("ShellExecuteA" in the "shell32.dll" library of the Windows API) along with a file path for a saved local html file that is to be displayed. In the case that FireFox is the default browser and the file path for the html file contains any space characters in the html file's file name, Firefox (in this case v7.01) will display an error message "File not Found..." and then will also proceed to open tabs for each of the individual words in the file name, launching as the URL path, each individual word appended to ".com".
In the following example, the path "C:\KSSecOfState\Forms\Kansas Secretary of State - Filings and Forms.htm" when launched programmatically, resulted in the error message "File not Found...Firefox can't find the file at /C:/KSSecOfState/Forms/Kansas." and opened up browser windows for "http://www.secretary.com/", "http://www.of.com/", "http://www.state.com/", "http://www.and.com/", and attempted to launch "http://forms.htm". If the same file (renamed) is launched using the path string "C:\KSSecOfState\Forms\KansasSecretaryOfState-FilingsAndForms.htm" the file opens up correctly in Firefox. Clearly the presence of spaces in the file name is causing the problem.
I should also note that either path (with or without space characters) works properly if pasted directly into the Firefox URL path menu bar for a live instance of Firefox. The test path strings I used were:
C:\KSSecOfState\Forms\KansasSecretaryOfState-FilingsAndForms.htm
C:\KSSecOfState\Forms\Kansas Secretary of State - Filings and Forms.htm
Does anyone know anything about this problem or how to work around it (other than the obvious answer of taking the spaces out of the file name which is not possible for this application). It seems the problem is specific to Firefox. IE works properly if launched programmatically with spaces in the file name passed to it. I haven't tested other browsers yet.

Apache ColdFusion 10 Process .HTML Files Containing CFML

I am on Mac Mountain Lion, but that shouldn't make a difference.
This is for a clients website, so I need to get this working ASAP.
Any advice on how to get CF 10 working with this setup, only serving .html files that contain CFML?
So far I have tried:
1. Adding /*.html = cfusion and /*.htm = cfusion to my uriworkermap_cfusion.properties file.
2. Adding .htm and .html to the AddHandler jakarta-servlet .cfm .cfml .cfc .cfr .cfswf line in my apache conf file.
.cfm files and CF Admin render correctly, but when I call a .html file that contains CFML I get a Tomcat error saying the requested resource is not available.

I've had no trouble getting this to work on Windows, IIS and CF10.

I am on a different system, but my guess is that:
1) the properties file should contain the lines
/*.cfm = cfusion
/*.html = cfusion
/*.htm = cfusion
2) you should save the file as uriworkermap.properties;
3) The intention now is to edit system file /WEB-INF/web.xml, by adding html and htm mappings to it. First and foremost, back-up the file, just in case.
Open the web.xml file in a text editor. Locate the elements whose IDs are of the form "coldfusion_mapping_x", where x is a number in the set {0,1,2,...}. Locate the highest such number. Let's call it X. The ID of a new ColdFusion mapping will therefore begin with X+1.
Now, edit the web.xml file by adding the following 2 new mappings immediately after mapping number X (replacing X with the actual value!):

Why does DW CC 2014.1 Fluid Grid load HTML file that contains Google Analytics Tracking Code script so slowly?

I exclusively work in Fluid Grid since my site is a Responsive Web Design. I'm having trouble with slow load time in DW CC 2014.1, when my file, as they all do of course, has the Google Analytics Tracking Code script.
I'm on a Windows 8.1 using a Dell Precision M3800 Laptop with Memory 16GB (2x8GB) 1600MHz DDR3 . Each of our site's 180 or so web pages, of course, has its Google Analytics Tracking Code script. It is placed, following Google instructions, as the last entry in the <head>. Google Analytics does not instruct to place the script in the JS Folder with an scr to it, but rather in the <head>. It takes up to one and a half or two minutes for DW CC 2014.1 to load the Google Analytics Tracking Code script . That is, the grid does not show in Live View until finally analytics.js shows up in the Document Toolbar. A minute or two can add up when every page you load takes this long. And, making new Fluid Grid pages, as is done, through the Save As command; every new page made you have to deal with the minute or two wait time since all those pages have the Google Analytics Tracking Code script. Therefore, this time component alone, assuming I'm accessing and/or making 20 pages per week (and in our business this is easily the case) the math is that I'm wasting between 17 and 35 hours per year just with DW CC 2014.1 loading the much needed Google Analytics Tracking Code script.
I have loaded HTML files that do not have the Google Analytics Tracking Code script as a test and those files load at the normal quick speed.
Therefore, the new Chromium Embedded Framework browser engine has a serious load problem when it confronts an HTML5 file with a Google Analytics Tracking Code script. Oddly, the prior DW CC 2014 version, with the old browser engine did not have this slow-load problem since I was loading these same files in that DW CC version up until October 8th or so.
I think this new browser engine is a Google platform that apparently has a problem rendering or loading a Google Analytics Tracking Code script. That makes no sense.
Anyone else had this particular slow-load problem with DW CC 2014.1?

Wow. That sure solved the slow-load problem, at least using your suggested snippet in a simple test HTML file.
Per Google's instructions, I pasted the snippet before the closing </head> tag. And, even in that positioning in the file; the file loaded at the speed (about one second) that it did prior to DW 2014.1.
Two questions.
Will this snippet provide the same tracking data as my current GA snippet?
Because my current GA snippet is in about 200 web pages, can I retain the old snippet in most of them and place the new snippet in my approximately 5 main web pages as well as my templates so my new pages, as well as my main pages, have the new snippet. That is, can I have both snippets (i.e. old snippet in earlier pages and new snippet in main pages and new pages to be made going forward) in my website at the same time?
Of course I would not have both the old and new snippet in a web page at the same time.
I greatly appreciate any assistance anyone can provide me on this issue and thank all of you in advance.

Browser has suddenly stopped loading html files which contain flash content (LANGUAGE="JavaScript1.2)

Having created interactive material which opens as shockwave flash in my browser Firefox has stopped opening such files it just opens with the circle as if its opening the file but the file never opens. These files opened previously without a hitch and open in IE. If I browse and open the shockwave flash object quiz.swf it will open but it will not open the quiz,html file.
I'm using Firefox 3.6.13 and adobe flash 10

There is no Flash player version 15... as in your code:

For some reason Adobe thought it would be a good idea to target a Flash player version (15) as default.....which may be out a couple years in the future. Go figure!!!
If you don't like player version 9, change to 10 or 11.... just not 15 (yet).

Jar only specific file types

Is there any option to feed my requirement ?
I have below folder structure
acme/hmtl/1.html
acme/html/2.html
acme/html/3.css
acme/css/2.css
acme/css/1.css
acme/css/3.html
I want to create jar which should contain only html files. But the recurssive folder structure can extend to any number. And the jar should contain the exact folder structure same as source. I need to execute the command from parent folder level and it should jar all the html files in same folder structure...Any luck :(

Your best bet - and something that's a good idea anyway - is to get hold of, and learn to use, Apache Ant. It'll do what you need, and a lot more.

HTML file is not being shown properly in the JEditorPane

Hi,
I am using JEditorPane to display an HTML file from the local disk. This HTML file contains the html tables. Now when this file is getting displayed in the JEditorPane, one top row grid is not being displayed in the editor pane. content of the row is there...but the column grid is missing. All other rows and columns are being shown but the first row-column grid which contains the heading for column.
Also when I m printing the content of this JEditorPane using Java Print API then no grid is being printed on the paper. content is coming properly but no table grids. when i have taken the print out of the original html file from the browser then table grids are being printed out properly.
Please do help me out in showing the HTML file in the JEditorPane properly and printing the same.

JEditorPane renders HTML with many limitations.
You can use JDIC for the same. refer: jdic.dev.java.net
But JDIC does not work on windows 98.

In the var linksOnPage i'm getting all the links but some of them not only links for example the first item i see:

For an applet to read from a client's harddrive it will need permission.
This can be done by putting the applet in a jar file and signing it,
or by using the poiclytool to change the java.policy file to give FilePermission.

DW CS5 - PHP in HTML file - no display in DW live view

Have DW CS5, Local IIS 7 (Win 7 64x) testing server (Server Model: PHP MySQL) set up and working. External browsers render .html files with PHP fine (URL=http://localhost/testphp.html), DW Live View will not parse/display the PHP with ".html" extension. No ".htaccess" file, DW PHP Tag Library has all PHP "Used In:" boxes checked. Example:

This is not PHP code
The red code part should read as to be classified as PHP script

Apart from the same mistake as above, this file will not be recognised as containing PHP without the PHP extension. You can setup the server to accept HTML and to interpret same as PHP, but I would not recommend this.

This is amazing! With the code above? If you hadn't told me I would not have believed it. I tried it on my humble setup and you are correct. It works using the PHP file but not the HTML file. It doesn't matter, it is still not correct.

It is not up to DW to determine, it is the PHP server that determines whether PHP in an HTML file will be shown. Have a look here http://php.about.com/od/advancedphp/p/html_php.htm .Once again, I do not recommend this
