JAR to EXE or executable JAR conversion

Greetings all
I have a jar file placed in my java\bin folder. i want to make it into an executable .exe file. if not that i want to execute it without going on command line and writing
java -jar MyJar.jar
is there any solution?
somebody told me to make a .BAT file and run it..i dont know anything about BAT files...is there any convertor that may convert my Jar into .EXE file keeping icons + images in my program intact?

If your system is set up correctly and "java -jar MyJar.jar" works, then double-clicking it should start it was well.

DMU 1.2 stuck in Execute Post Conversion Tasks

It is stuck in the post execution conversion tasks. I don't even see the steps listed. DBSNMP somehow got in while the DMU was up.
I put the db in blackout but should have put in restricted mode also, which i did after killing the dbsnmp session.
From the screen log:

You should see the SQL that's currently being executed in the conversion panel. Please try the latest released version DMU 2.0. If this is still an issue with 2.0, please log an SR for further investigation.

Cannot find java.exe when executing Sun Java Enterprise 8.1

I downloaded and installed Sun Java Enterprise 8.1 (actually because I kept getting not enough space messages I downloaded it in 3 parts). When attempting to execute by clicking on the icon I keep getting a message saying "cannot find java.exe". I previously installed the java runtime successfully. Is anyone familiar with this and if so how do I get around it. I am running Win2k SP4 on a laptop. Thank you for any insight you can provide.

I faced same problem. I had jdk 1.5.0_05 installed on C: drive directly. But When I check the log though the installation found the version it was assuming it to be at 'C:\Program Files\Java' so even after finding the installed JDK it was failing. When I copied the JDK at 'C:\Program Files\Java' and then uninstalled and reinstalled the Sun java studio 8 again, at this time it asked me about which JDK to use! Then there I could point to C:\jdk1.5.0_05. Then everything went through fine. I guess this is some problem in installation code. Try this out.

Exe Not Executing

My exe program works when I am logged in but does not work for other users. On the computer I gave all rights to the executable but they do not have access to the source code VI’s. This should work since I am compiling it but it does not and I was wandering if it was because so VI’s call dll’s.
How do I solve the problem? I do not want my source code available to others.
I have included the error pasted into work and one of the VI’s that cause the problem (AerAxisMove.vi within llb).

I've checked out the VI that's causing the problem and I can infer the
following: The VI attempts to call the dll "A32sys.dll", and it can't
find it. That's why the error is shown. One of this three
strategies may work to fix this. Try them secuentially.
- 1. Right click the Call Library Function Node and select
"Configure..." in the pop-up menu. In the Library Name of Path Field
type the Absolute Path of the DLL, for example
"C:\Development\Motion\A32sys.dll". Build the application and check if
it works.
- 2. When you build the application into an Stand Alone EXE go to the
Source File tabs and click the "Add Support File..." button. Select the
DLL. Configure anything else you need and build the application and
check if this solves the problem.
- 3. Copy the DLL to the same directory of the .EXE or to the C:\Windows\System32 dir.

Problem when execute report Conversion Tool XI 3.0 on a client

Hi everyone,
When I use Report Conversion Tool on a client (not on Webi Server Windows 2003) I have an error (a red cross appears) before the conversion.
I believe that RCT can not open the document to migrate.
All it's OK when I use RCT since the Webi Server.
Any help will be appreciated.

Hi BW Gurus,
We are in the process of upgrading BW 3.5 to BW 7.0. We did not get any conversion error in BW Dev but in BWQ we got error in one of ABAP program. The error message in log is :-
"Value '######' of characteristic 0TIME is not a number with 000006 spaces"
and job pertaining to the program is canceled in SM37.
My question is, are we suppose to run any conversion program before or after the upgrade?

SAPINST.EXE not executing...

Dear inst experts,
I have standard dump and I am using Win_Ser_'03. While trying to install SAP thru this path F:\SAP\NW2004sSR2\BS_2005_SR2_IDES_Installation_Master\IM_WINDOWS_I386, I am getting error saying that "creating process temp\sapinst.exe.1188.1305352075\sapinst.exe failed" and also saying "child has signalled and exec error keeping dir temp/sapinst.exe.3776.1305352258. Pls help me in this regard. Can I find a working sapinst.exe file.

Kill if any sapinst process is running and delete the files in temp direcotry aswell.
Now start with fresh installation.

Jar file Corrupted

Hi
I created an exe for a jar file using Xenoage.
The exe file executes fine in normal conditions.
I used a license manager for my software.
The input file for the license manager is the exe
file created by Xenoage.
The output file obtained is in an unrecognised format. When
i execute the file using java the error that i get is
Invalid or corrupt jar file+
What could be the reason for the jar file to be corrupt.

                     As part of system refresh, our QA ECC is restored with Production Data backup. In this process, sapinst.exe is executed to perform homogeneous system copy steps. This process is being terminated with error at the step *"Create SAP stored procedures"*.

             Thank you for the reply. QA in our landsacpe was in use since 2008. Serveral times system refresh is carried out on our QA with production data but never came accross this issue.
             Usually if the SAPINST.exe run is successfull, temperory licence will be installed and we will be allowed to login into the sytem with our user names normally and carry out post installation steps.
             As the SAPISNT.exe is being terminated, temperory license is not being installed and we got to work around by including parameter to allow default sap* userid and password to login and install license and carry on with the post installation steps. To be frank this issue is not really a show stopper, but there seems to be an issue that is to be resolved.

Error when executing .exe

I devloped an application that connect to internet and parse some html file to provide a search usingsearch engines.
it compiles in JBuilder 2005. but when i make the .exe it works in the beginning
after that it crash.

Executing "jdeveloper.exe on Linux CENTOS

I'm new to both Linux and Oracle. I've installed "jdeveloper" on an CENTOS 5.2 Linux. The installation went well with not issues. However, I'm unable to execute jdeveloper.exe. When i type "./jdeveloper.exe" I get the following message:

Well, .exe files are for Windows based systems only. On Linux and Unix systems you can start JDeveloper by calling $JDEV_HOME/jdev/bin/jdev (adjustment of the execution rights might be needed).

Startrfc.exe cannot be executed

Hello,
My environment consists of a Windows Server 2003 and SAP ECC 6.0.
An application on Windows Server executes a SAP F.M. using startrfc via a command.
When the command startrfc.exe is executed with a command like
C:\Program Files\SAP\FrontEnd\SAPgui\rfcsdk\bin\startrfc.exe -3 -h <sap_system> -s <system_nr> -c <mandt> -l IT -u <user> -p <password> -F <function_module> -E <parameter>
the error
The system cannot executed the specified program
is returned.
Looking into event viewer at the execution moment three errors are returned. Two of them reports that dependent assembly Microsfot.V80.CRT is not installed on the system.
But the .NET Framework 1.1 is installed.
Has anyone an idea how to solve the problem ?

I forgot to write in my message that i copied same program on my laptop with XP and it's run correctly.
startrfc.exe is include in a package named rfcsdk that it's possible to download from SAP Marketplace.
And also is competly platform independent.

VB6 source code cannot connect to Oracle database after compile to file.exe

Hi All,
I have a problem about VB6 connect with Oracle database. It can connect as normal when run on VB program. After compiled to file.exe and execute, it cannot connect to Oracle database. What's going on ? Please advise? Thank you.

Error when launch .exe

I devloped an application that connect to internet and parse some html and xml files to provide a search using search engines.
it compiles and works well in JBuilder 2005. but when i make the .exe it works in the beginning after that it crash.
