Jars files inside atglib folder

HI Guys
I am creating ear file in atg by using ant script ,inside ear file i found atglib files with some jar files different files
from where it is picking those jar files inside atglib folder
please give me clear picture on this

HI David,
Will it follow config path layering while build the ear file ?
or do we need to provide explicitly each module to build?
in my application i didnot find some ootb modules in build script but inside ear file those modules jar files are i am able to see
how  it is possible ? is it because of config path layering?

  • How to Read all files inside resource Folder inside Jar?

    I have a Jar file,,,, The program reads for resource files in the resource folder inside the Jar. I want my program to read all files inside this folder without knowing the names or the number of files in the folder.
    I am using this to make an Applet easy to be updated with spicific files. I just want to add a file inside the resource folder and Jar the program and automatically the program reads what ever is in there!!
    I used the File class to get all file names inside the resource folder. it works fine before Jarring the program. After I jar I recieve a URI not Herarichy Exception!!
    File fold=new java.io.File(getClass().getResource(folder).toURI());
    String[] files=fold.list();
    I hope the question is clear!!

    How to get the directory and jar file that you class resides in:
    // returns path and jarfile (ex: /home/mydir/my.jar)
    public String getJarfileName()
            // Get the location of the jar file and the jar file name
            java.net.URL outputURL = YourClass.class.getProtectionDomain().getCodeSource().getLocation();
            String outputString = outputURL.toString();
            String[] parseString;
            int index1 = outputString.indexOf(":");
            int index2 = outputString.lastIndexOf(":");
            if (index1!=index2) // Windows/DOS uses C: naming convention
               parseString = outputString.split("file:/");
            else
               parseString = outputString.split("file:");
            String jarFilename = parseString[1];
           return jarFilename;
    }If your my.jar was in /home/mydir, it will store "/home/mydir/my.jar" in jarFilename.
    note: getLocation returns "file:/C:/home/mydir/my.jar" for Windows/DOS and "file:/home/mydir/my.jar" for windows, thus why I look for the first and last index of the colon so I can correctly split the string.
    If you want to grab a file in the jar file and get an InputStream, do the following:
    import java.io.*;
    import java.util.Enumeration;
    // jar stuff
    import java.util.jar.*;
    import java.util.zip.ZipEntry;
    public class Jaris
       private JarFile jf;
       public Jaris(String jarFilename) throws Exception
           try
                           jf = new JarFile(jarFilename);
           catch (Exception e)
                jf=null;
                throw(e);
       public InputStream getInputStream(String matchString) throws Exception
           ZipEntry ze=null;
           try
              Enumeration resources = jf.entries();
              while ( resources.hasMoreElements() )
                 JarEntry je = (JarEntry) resources.nextElement();
                 // find a file that matches this string from anywhere in my jar file
                 if ( je.getName().matches(".*\\"+matchString) )
                    String filename=je.getName();
                    ze=jf.getEntry(filename);
          catch (Exception e)
             throw(e);
          InputStream is = jf.getInputStream(ze);
          return is;
       // for testing the Jaris methods
       public static void main(String[] args)
          try
               String jarFilename=getJarfileName();
               Jaris jis = new Jaris(jarFilename); // this is the string we got from the other method listed above
               InputStream is=jis.getInputStream("myfile.txt"); // can be used for xml, xsl, etc
          catch (Exception e)
             // this is just a test, so we'll ignore the exception
    }Happy coding! :)

  • Including a jar file inside an executable jar file

    Is it possible to include a jar file inside another (executable) jar file such that the included file is part of the class path for the outer file? If so, how do you specify this in the classpath in the manifest?

    Russ_Bjork wrote:

    What do you see as the advantage of doing that?
    Is your app. a rich client (e.g. Swing, AWT, SWT..)?
    Can you distribute the app. from a server or the internet?

  • How to import xsd file inside XSD folder in Oracle SOA 11g

    Hi,
    I need to import xsd file inside XSD folder provided by the deafult structure while creating SOA project. When I used to import the web resource it imports it inside public_html folder not inside XSD folder.
    How to do that ?
    Thanks

    Hi,
    Are you using Jdeveloper on a windows machine? If you are then this might be a useful tip.
    Click Tools -> External Tools. It will prompt you to setup common tools. Let it do this. Now when you right click on your project you will get an Explore Directory option. I use this a lot when copying XSD’s between projects.
    Once you have done this you need to click the refresh button in the Application Navigator to ensure the new files appear.

  • Unable to run jar file without lib folder containing swing-layout-1.0.jar

    I have done my project through NetBeans 5.0. Eventhough I have copied my lib foloder containing swing-layout-1.0.jar inside my project.jar, I am still unable to run my project.jar in other systems, it is creating an error as Could not find the main class. Program will exit. But if I copy the lib foloder containing swing-layout-1.0.jar in the same path as the project.jar, then my project.jar is running.
    But I want to give only the project.jar for other users and not also lib foloder containing swing-layout-1.0.jar each time.
    Could someone please help me with this.

    When you develop GUI applications using the Netbeans you may endup using netbeans specific jar files in your auto generated code.
    And when you build jar files with netbeans it copy the third party jar files used in a application in to a lib folder in the same directory as the jar file of your project. And then set a class path entry to those jar files in your project jar file's manifest file.
    So if you want to redistribute the package you have to redistribute your jar file and every thing in the lib folder in with the same directory structure.
    If you want to change the structure you will have to change the class path to suit the new structure.

  • Making excecutable jar file which contains folder

    hi,
    I have a strange (at least for me it is) problem. I made an excecutable *.jar file of one of my projects. The problem is, that it only works if the *.jar file is in the same folder as my project.
    my project uses subfolders. i noticed, that if i deleted everything, leavin only the *.jar file and the folders, then it works.
    so my question is: how can i tell my java programm to look for the folders inside the jar file?
    yes, i did put all folders inside the jar file and yes i used relative paths within my programm.
    thanx
    Usul

    for example:
      analysePoints.addImage(new File("Candidates", "A.png"));
      analysePoints.addImage(new File("Candidates", "Circle.png"));
      analysePoints.addImage(new File("Candidates", "Cross.png"));
      analysePoints.addImage(new File("Candidates", "Heart.png"));
      analysePoints.addImage(new File("Candidates", "TriangleN.png"));
      analysePoints.addImage(new File("Candidates", "TriangleSW.png"));or
       while( helpInt < pathsToImagesVT.size() )
         File currentImagePath = (File)pathsToImagesVT.elementAt(helpInt);
         Image currentImage = null;
        try{
          currentImage = getToolkit().createImage(currentImagePath.getCanonicalPath());
          MediaTracker helpMT = new MediaTracker(this);
          helpMT.addImage(currentImage,0);
          helpMT.waitForAll();
         } catch(InterruptedException e) {System.out.println(e.toString());}
           catch(IOException f){System.out.println(f.toString());}

  • How to extract jar files into  a folder in the local disk and then import?

    hai forum,
    will any one tell me how should i extract jar files into a location in my project folder and then how to import the class files for further usage?
    Thank you .

    I will be graeateful if u could explain this a bit.
    Do you want to say that i should craete instance of
    ZipEntry like this
    InputStream is =
    jarFile.getInputStream(entry);
    File inputFile = new
    File("C:\\myclasses.data");
    FileInputStream fis=
    new FileInputStream(inputFile);No! You need to write the entry using FileOutputStream copying all the bytes of the ZipEntry InputStream to the FileOutputStream.
    >
    What about adding into a directory?Do i have to
    create on dynamically?Yes! You can use File.mkdirs(). For example
                        File ofile = new File("your directory where you will place the zip entries" + zipEntry.getName());
                        ofile.getParentFile().mkdirs();

  • Can I place jar files inside ejb-jar.jar?

    Hi,
    I'm reading about the packaging rules for creating an ejb-jar.jar file, and I'm wondering whether it's possible to include a jar file (containing helper classes) inside of the ejb-jar file. A "lib" dir (for containing such helper jars) doesn't seem to be part of the ejb-jar file format.
    The EJB 3 spec has this to say (Ch 20, "Enterprise JavaBeans 3.0, Final Release):
    "The ejb-jar file must also contain, either by inclusion or by reference, the class files for all the classes and interfaces that each enterprise bean class and the home interfaces, component interfaces, and/or web service endpoints depend on, except Java EE and J2SE classes. This includes their superclasses and superinterfaces, dependent classes, and the classes and interfaces used as method parameters, results, and exceptions"
    Now, it seems that the root of the the ejb-jar file contains all the classes (in the appropriate Java package layout). But what about including JAR files? The ejb-jar spec seems to have nothing to say about a "lib" dir that can contain jars (as a WAR file can).
    Summary of questions:
    1) Can an ejb-jar file contain a jar file? If so, how/where?
    2) Can the ejb-jar file's META-INF/MANIFEST.MF file contain a reference to a JAR file?
    I'm not considering correct design at the point... I'd just like to know if these 2 scenarios are possible.
    Thank you!

  • How to use methods from a JAR file inside my springcontext (Oracle fusion 12c) class file?

    Dear Friends,
    I have a jar file, which has executed classes and methods in it. I want to make use of these methods inside my springcontext piece of code.
    Can someone please share an example  of how to write spingcontext code which is accessing classes/methods from  JAR files along with the any setup?
    Thanks,

    I have found the answer... as described in:
    http://java.sun.com/javase/6/docs/technotes/guides/lang/resources.html
    the problem was that the properties are loaded with the getResource & getResourceAsStream methods and I didn't know that one. I thought that is was loaded through findClass because I saw the property files trying to be loaded through findClass.
    The truth is that it tries to load with the getRessources methods and if it fails tries with the findClass/loadClass.
    To Fix the problem, I have simply overriden the getRessourceAsStream to do my magic and that was it.
    Thanks

  • Unable to load classes from jar files inside APP-INF/lib in EAR.

    Weblogic version: 10.3.3
    Platform: Linux x86-64 bit
    We deployed an ear packaged with all the common library jars inside APP-INF/lib. Deployment was successful.
    for some reason, it is always giving ClassNotFoundException for the classes inside the jars. This does not happen
    in 10.3.2 version of weblogic.
    We tried to add them to domain/lib directory (instead of APP-INF/lib) but still it is not able to resolve the classes.
    Any pointers would be appreciated.

    try using prefer-web-inf-classes in the weblogic.xml file in your WAR file
    or using prefer-application-packages in the weblogic-application.xml file in your EAR.

  • To find total number of files inside folder

    Hai,
       In knowledge management is there any option to find total number of files inside folder...
        I also want to see the recently uploaded and modified documents in a seperate iview...
        Iam using NW2004s SP8..
        Very urgent..
        Waiting for a positive reply..
        Thanks&regards,
         Kiruthika.S

    Hi Kiruthika,
    1. You only need the configarchive if you don't want create all the KM configuration objects mentioned in the guide manually. So, just create the objects mentioned there and you don't need the configarchive
    Also, the scenario works also on 2004s.
    2. Please check this thread on how to show the total number of files inside a folder:
    https://forums.sdn.sap.com/thread.jspa?threadID=19610
    3. It would be nice if you would consider rewarding the time people like Saravanan spend to investigate and answer your question by assigning points via the colored stars.

    Hi I have an executible JAR file that I can call from command line by using the command - "java -jar file.jar".
    Is there a way for me to call this JAR file inside a Java class in another Java Program?There can be more going on in a jar than just as a container for classes.
    The manifest defines the behavior. So to replicate the behavior you must do exactly that.
    As an example of that.
    [http://java.sun.com/developer/Books/javaprogramming/JAR/basics/manifest.html#download]
    Additionally by running it in your application you must consider what the scope of that is. If you just load the classes directly then they will be in the system class loader and thus cannot be unloaded. Using a class loader solves that.

  • I cannot create new file (.xslx) inside a folder with right click.

    I work with excel 2007 in window 7. Usually I create new files (.xlsx) by right click while I am inside a folder. But recently I have lost this opportunity. Now whenever I open a folder and want to create a new file (either .xlsx or .doc) I right click
    there. But there I find neither excel file icon nor word file icon. Power point, Access, Publisher file icons can be found there at that time. I do not know how I have lost the opportunity. Being failed to create files inside a folder now I go to start button
    or office button to create a new file.
    But I want to have the previous opportunity so that I can create a new file (excel or word) while I am visiting inside a folder. Is it possible? Thank, Nurul Amin.

    Hi,
    I would agree with Repair step provided by Robert, this will rewrite all the registry keys into the computer. Please have a try and let us know the result.
    Also, another quick way to rewrite all the registry keys and reregister the product is to run the problematic Office applications with "/regserver" switch:
    Press Win + R and type "winword.exe /regserver" or "Excel.exe /regserver" in the blank box, then press
    Enter.
    You might also want to give this a try.

I am using Build Main Project tab under Run. It is falling out. I am finding it second project' s jar file under its folder. I am clicking on it. But it is NOT WORKING. Do you know WHY.
