Java 1.4.2._03 error?

Question

I define an action class that extends AbstractAction. I have two constructors for this action class - one is passed a name string and an icon and the other is simplely passed a name. All I do in the contructor is call either super(string, icon) or super(string) The icon is created via ImageIcon. I add the action to a JToolbar. When I execute the program, the toolbar contains only the icon (no name text) if the super(string,icon) contructor is used. I expected to see the icon and its name as if I added a JButton with an icon and name to the toolbar. When the action is created using super(string), I see a button with the name.. When I click on the GUI object in the tool bar, I expect to get the name of the GUI object from the getActionCommand in the actionPerformed method of the action. When I create the action with only a name string, I do get the name associated with the GUI object. However, if I create the action with a name and Icon, the getActionCommand returns a null value. The ActionEvent seems to have different information eventhough a name was given in both cases of action creation. Is this a known java bug?

If you can start a 1.4.2 JVM with all these parameters independently (i.e. not from Ant) and it works, but from Ant it doesn't work, it's more likely that the problem is somehow related to interaction between Ant and the JVM, rather than the JVM itself. So I would suggest trying some Ant forum first - I think it would also work faster than if you try to submit this bug to Sun.
