Java 6 upgrade 3 closes windows on XP with no errors-help

I was running a streamer application on Ameritrade when it asked for a Java upgrade which I did. After that, when I ran the application it would close the Ameritrade window without an error message. I deleted the old environment but that didn't help. I've tried looking for earlier Java programs on thier site but when I go to the free download or try to verify my Java program it closes the window again with no error just like what it did to the Ameritrade streamer application. Help!!

try enabling verbose output. You can do this from the java control panel. Under the runtime settings add the "-verbose" flag. Next time you start the java plugin you'll see a command prompt start up. Any fatal error might be printed there. You can get a stack dump by hitting the \ + break key in the command prompt window (before the plugin exits). - Sometimes a java program might exit due to a JNI error, If you are using native libraries you could check errors there by adding the "-Xcheck:jni" parameter to the plugin runtime settings.

You don'y say what version of WMP you currently have, but I would strongly recommend installing the latest version from the Microsoft web site. It is possible that your current version has become corrupted in some way.

Crystal Reports XI was not compiled with the nx flag as it released before Windows XP Service Pack 2 or Windows 2003 Service Pack 1.
As for the sapldap.dll. I'm not sure where this is coming from. I do not see this dll on my install, however it does come with the SAP portal integration kit. So I'm not sure if that is flying around somewhere on that server(?)

Neither Flash Player nor Java working on Windows 8.1 with IE 11

I have a new sony laptop with Windows 8 and IE 11. I have upgraded to Windows 8.1. Neither Flash Player nor Java are working despite having made all the recommended settings. Adobe recommends upgrading to Flash Player 12.00.38, but I can seem to get it installed.
Whats wrong and how do I fix it?

Flash Player for IE in Windows 8 and 8.1 is embedded by Microsoft and you cannot update it here. It MUST be updated via Windows Update.
The fatc that Java isn't working as well leads me to believe you have other problems, but IE11 (comes with Windows 8.1) has been a "rolling train wreck" since the day it was released. Websites and pages can't recognize the browser, so they don't recognize any of the plugins, like Flash Player. So far, Microsoft has made NO indication that they have any plan to fix it soon.
Microsoft's recommendation is to use Compatibility View for affected pages, and "pretend" you're using an different browser. Trouble with that is it has seen limited success at best, and you have to individually enable it for EVERY page that has problems.
I'm not big on "pretending" so I recommend actually using another browser.

Opera (from Opera)
Safari (from Apple)
Chrome (from Google)
ANY of those will work where IE11 won't, with the Flash Player Plug-in (For all other browsers), and Chrome doesn't even need that because it has its own Flash Player plugin built in.

Hi. I hope someone out there can help me!! I have tried numerous times to upgrade my HP Envy 15-K204NA from Windows 8.1 64-bit to Windows 10 Home, but it continues to fail with error code 80070714. I am using Bullguard Premium Protection and have Acronis True Image installed. I have disabled SQL services as suggested by other posts on the internet, but nothing seems to work. When I run the upgrade from a DVD burned from the ISO, it gets to 37% and then fails. Hope you can help. (fingers crossed!!) Hi Mumbodog and thanks for your reply. I have uninstalled Bullguard and tried the upgrade again, but it failed at the same point. I have also removed Acronis True Image and again it failed!! running in to an issue where windows 8.1 with media center can't upgrade to windows 10. when running the update troubleshooter, getting error 'PC is running an enterprise or volume licensed version of Windows 8 and cannot be updated using Windows Store"
though when running the license verifier it lists the license as a windows WMC retail version. is the issue just because it has a windows media center license? someone help please. thanks

CUCM 8.6.1 Refresh upgrade to 10.5 fails with Internal Error (Function: ipmReadNormalizedInputLine) [SOLVED]

Hi,
we are upgrading our CUCM 8.6.1 to 10.5.1 on VMWare Enviroment (vSphere 5.5 running on UCS).
We are running this upgrade in a sandbox, in order to avoid any problem in the production cluster.
We followed the refresh upgrade guide ( http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/voice_ip_comm/cucm/upgrade/10_0_1/CUCM_BK_U4214F9D_00_upgrade-guide-cucm-100.pdf)
Pre-configuration steps
Take a clone of the running publisher and put it in the sandbox
Remove DNS servers (they are not available in the sandbox)
Change the NTP Server with a ntp that is recheable from the sandbox
Check that Gateway and NTP connectivity are OK for the CUCM
Pre-upgrade:
Run the cop files to update keys and increase disk space (log partition is 80% full)
Shutdown the CUCM VM and
Increase disk space on the VM configuration
change VM OS from RedHat5 (32bit) to RedHat 6 (64bits)
change VM nic from flexible to VMNIX3
Restart the VM
Upgrade
1. mount the iso
2. connect to OS Administration web interface and perform the Software installation from CD/DVD
3. upgrade process works fine up to the post-installation task
During post-installation tasks (after completing the DB Load and Transforming Copy) the Upgrade process always fails fails with an internal error

Issue was related to Dial Plans, the logs showed

Cisco TAC fixed by updating the primary key in the DB.
After the fix we were able to perform the RU as expected.

Windows Server 2012 Windows Backup failed with following error code '0x8078006B' (Windows Backup failed to create the shared protection point on the source volumes.).

The Volume Shadow Copy service initially was running under the context of System, so we thought that ‘System’ doesn’t have permissions to access network shares.
When the Volume Shadow Copy service was running under the context of System, this was the error logged:
“failed with following error code '0x8078014B' (There was a failure in creating a directory on the backup storage location.).”
Which is likely due to not having permissions to write to the network location.
This is a scheduled backup trying to write to a network location, so we changes the service to run under the context of an account that does have permissions to write to the network share.
  Then the error changed to this:
“failed with following error code '0x8078006B' (Windows Backup failed to create the shared protection point on the source volumes.).”

We are trying to back up folders/files from 2 local drives (C: & D:), both of which have only 10% space used, and 100 GB free.
We are attempting to back the files up to a Remote Shared File (and there is 100+ GB free space out there).
  If we try another network location, we receive the exact same error.
This is Windows Server 2012, not running Hyper-V and is a physical server not a VM.

SAP ECC 6.0 installation in windows 2008 clustering with db2 ERROR DB21524E

Dear Sir.,
Am installing sap ECC 6.0 on windows 2008 clustering with db2.
I got one error in the phase of Configure the database for mscs. The error is DB21524E 'FAILED TO CREATE THE RESOURCE DB2 IP PRD' THE CLUSTER NETWORK WAS NOT FOUND .

Hello Manjunath.
This looks like a configuration problem.
Please check if IP_NETWORK is set to the name of your network adapter and
if your IP_ADDRESS and IP_SUBNET are set to the correct values.
Note:
- IP_ADDRESS is a new IP address that is not used by any machine in the network.
- IP_NETWORK is optional
If you still get the same error debug your db2mscs.exe-call:

Can you run the following and check the output:
db2mscs -f <path>\db2mscs.cfg -d <path>\debug.txt
I suspect you may see the following error in the debug.txt:
Create_IP_Resource fnc_errcode 5045
If you see the fnc_errcode 5045
In that case, error 5045 which is a windows error, means
ERROR_CLUSTER_NETWORK_NOT_FOUND. This error is occuring because windows
couldn't find the "public network" as indicated by IP_NETWORK.
Windows couldn't find the MSCS network called "public network". The
IP_NETWORK parameter must be set to an MSCS Network., so running the
Cluster Admin GUI and expanding the Cluster Configuration->Network to
view all MSCS networks that were available and if "public network" was
one of them.
However, the parameter IP_NETWORK is optional and you could be commented
out. In that case the first MSCS network detected by the system was used.

Cant gwt sky go to work after upgrade to windows 10 getting t6030 c4110 error

hi all i have recently upgraded to windows 1064bit from 8.1. and have lost the use of sky go keep getting the following error appolgises this tem has been interupted due to an error please refreh your page and try again later. t6030/ c4110. have tryed unistalling reinstalling silverlight and graphic drivers. some help would be gratly appreicated

As per your pots in the other topic you need to check if there any updated software for your drivers - you can do this via the windows update option or by checking the manufacturer of your drivers website to see if they have any software for users such as yourself who are using windows 10.

System Image Backups fails after upgrading to Windows 8.1 with 0x80040154

Backed up a Windows 8.0 system to DVD with no issues. Upgraded the computer to 8.1, and now when we tried to backup the system to DVD, we are getting the error message "An error occurred, class not registered (0x80040154)"
Anyone have any suggestions on how to fix this issue?

Preventing automated java upgrades in Windows

Hi folks,
We will shortly be rolling applications to our WAN users based on Java5. We can't use Java6 at present as we have some 3rd party audio/video tools that break on Java6.
We know we can disable auto-update in Control Panel-Settings-Java on a per user basis however the user is able to override that setting.
Is there a way we can control the upgrades of java on our workstations so that the auto-update is disabled and can't be overriden?

What I have recently done is delete the jusched.exe and jucheck.exe files in the bin sub directory of the installation directory for java. These files I believe to be involved with checking for updates.
Java applications still seem to run as normal under accounts of varying roles and permissions.
I am not too sure if the two files have other functions other than to update Java or whether it will cause problems with running certain applications.
I have also removed the registry key that schedules jusched.exe in HKLM.
The version of Java installed is 6 update 1, so it should tell me that there is an update but it hasn't so far. So, hopefully it's successful and the irritating pop ups imforming of an available update will no longer show itself.

It is safe to upgrade to windows 8.1 with a Lenovo yoga 13?

I've seen in this forum and internet in general there are a lot of problems and issues related to the 8.1 upgrade.
In the Windows store there are several apps that don't work with Windows 8, I would like to upgrade but if it is too much work... well, i don't know if is it worth the effort (I use my lenovo for work and I don't have the time to research, google, etc)
There's a quick solution for the issues at this time or should I continue with Windows 8?

In general, Lenovo machines are not meant to be updated. Updates usually cause things to break on Lenovo computers.
