Java API Update - All new API functions added

I have released Version 1.1 of the iTunesU Web Services API for Java, which includes all of the new API functions documented in the request XSD announced in yesterday's update. These include:
- mergeSite()
- addDivision()
- deleteDivision()
- mergeDivision()
- addSection()
- deleteSection()
- mergeSection()
- addCredential()
- deleteCredential()

Updated to new iTunes cat. added art work, episodes vanished today.

Hi,
I've had my podcast listed for about a month now in iTunes and had about 6 or 7 episodes up. Everything was fine when I looked yesterday. This morning I updated to the new iTunes catagories and added art work via the "smart feeds" feature in feedburner. I've been using this service all along with no troubles. After doing this I went in to iTunes and saw that the first 2 episodes of the podcast were there but that all others were gone. It appears that if subscribed you can get all episodes but not sure. This sounds like the problem that was going on with iTunes a few weeks back but I was under the impression that this was fixed? The feed is http://phobos.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewPodcast?id=159097443
I did a re-synch of my feed in Feedburner in hopes this might fix the problem and have pinged several times today with no success.
Any help would be much appreciated.

Appears to be a feedburner thing. If you look at your feedburner feed:
http://feeds.feedburner.com/disabilitynation
you'll see that there are multiple entries but only two podcast episodes (that is, places where there's an <enclosure> tag in the feed. Might want to check your feedburner settings to make sure it's picking up all the media files that you think should be there.

Apple TV not updating after new content is added to iTunes

Whenever a new podcast is downloaded or a movie is added to iTunes I have to right click the ATV in the source list and tell it to sync before it become available on the ATV. The ATV's sync settings are set to custom with nothing selected so everything streams and nothing copies over.
Is there a way to stream everything but have it automatically sync every time something new is added to iTunes?

To my knowledge the tv does automatically update itself, although it may not always be as often as you would like. I have 5 tv's all of which auto update and are set up pretty much the same as yours with custom sync but only sync photos and a very small amount of audio. Oddly enough we do have one of the tv's which will auto update immediately after adding content in itunes, ironically I find it a complete pain in the rear, as it will begin to update before I've actually finished updating itunes. (ie, if I add a movie, it will start to update the tv, but it does so before I get chance to add tags to the video, which then causes another update)
The only difference I can see between this tv and the others is that it does have 2 movies synced to it, whereas all the others have none.

After update all PDF files are added to iTunes

After updating to OS X 10.10 iTunes started to add all my PDF documents to its library. Is this happening to anyone else? Does anyone know how I can stop this from happening?

With Apple support help, we traced the problem back to an issue with the app Wanderlust.

uninstalled firefox ....deleted all files still remaining under mozilla firefox directory in program files ... to avoid having to reprogram all my settings, reisntall all addons as well .. I did not remove anything from mozilla firefox that is stored in either appdata or under the windows users directory (if any)

Does Java Card 2 API support all the smart card? I guess all the java cards are smart card but all the smart card are not java card. so Java card 2 API supports only java card. It does not support all the smart card. Please somebody let me know wheather I am correct or not. Because I want to make an application which supports all the smart card. API for creating new User in Oracle E-Business Suite through BPEL

Hello,
I would like to use a BPEL process to create a new User in Oracle E-Business Suite. In the Integration Repository I was able to find an API called FND_USER_PKG/LOAD_ROW that creates/updates Application's User data. Is this the API I should be using? If so, I would like to better understand how to use this API.
I have created a simple BPEL process and added an Oracle Application Service, which uses this FND_USER_PKG/LOAD_ROW API. I set the following parameter before Invoking the Oracle Application Service: X_USER_NAME, X_ENCRYPTED_USER_PASSWORD and X_START_DATE. When I run the BPEL process I get the following error. I suspect that I am not passing all the required input parameters. Does anyone have any sample data I can use to get this API to load correctly? If I am using the wrong API, please let me know.

Old game developper not used to new APIs...

Hi all,
About 3 years ago I was working for Ubisoft building Java games. Back then (jdk 1.1.8), the fastest way to produce images with effects and all was to manipulate the image as an array of pixels (int[], ARGB) and to use a MemoryImageSource to produce the image.
Now I feel like building a game for the fun of it, but I'm lost in all the new stuff they added. First of all, I just wanted to have an image built on an array of pixels. So I tried the following code :
DirectColorModel model = new DirectColorModel(32,0x00ff0000,0x0000ff00,0x000000ff,0xff000000);
WritableRaster raster = model.createCompatibleWritableRaster(640, 480);
int[] array = new int[640 * 480];
for (int i = 0; i < array.length; i++)
array[i] = 0x00ff0000;
raster.setPixels(0, 0, 640, 480, array);
BufferedImage img = new BufferedImage(model, raster, true, null);
panel.getGraphics().drawImage(img, 0, 0, this);
First, I get an ArrayIndexOutOfBounds on the setPixels() call. Why is that ? I mean, I specified the width and height to 640 * 480 but seems that the raster does not have the same widht and height ???
And second, if I use like setPixels(0,0,40,40,array), it displays some weird color scheme but in the array, I set all the pixels to 0x00ff0000 (red).
Could anyone help to get started ? I guess I am missing something here.
BTW, if anyone is interested in having a colloection of nice functions to manipulate arrays of pixels, I can send my old collection through e-mail.

I don't know whether you've had a look at the source code for java.awt.GradientPaintContext (it's a package-private class). Rather than use setPixels(int, int, int, int, int[]), they use internal knowledge about the type of WritableRaster returned.
I think that if you want to understand what's going on, you'll have to wade through the source code (and it's not at all well commented).
Incidentally, what wierd colour scheme do you get? Is it a consistent block of colour, and if so can you paint your image onto a BufferedImage and use getRGB(int, int) to find out its value?

MDM4J to New API Migration

Hi All
We are planning to upgrade a MDM interface, designed using MDM4J Java API to New Java API as we are migrating from MDM 5.5 SP03 to SP05.
We basically use the interface for the following
- Add / update Records
- Move the records from one repo to another repo
- few other customized functionalities
Need your help with the following queries.
- Do we need to re-write the whole application code?
- How much % of code can be reused?
Please share your experiance if you have worked on the same.

Hi Nathan,
The amount of code that needs to be re-written depends on how well you have separated data manipulation and UI. Obviously every reference to MDM4J functions needs to be recoded.
Please note that your intended migration from SP03 to SP05 does not mean that you have to migrate custom applications to the new Java API, as SP05 still supports MDM4J. So you should consider the migration to the new API if you want to take advantage of functionality not included in MDM4J, or the much smaller memory footprint of the new API.

* Updated setup.sh to reflect this.
* Added an Eclipse project called flex-asc; it's required to run the other compiler projects now (now you can build and debug the entire compiler, including asc, all in Eclipse; I've removed the reference to asc.jar).
* The other Eclipse projects now specify Java 1.5.
* Revving asc.jar for compatibility with Java 1.5; it's taken from the 3.0.x branch temporarily while mainline asc is fixed up.
* Fixed some assertions in mainline ASC (commenting them out with comments means fixing them, in this case)
* Fixed some in-your-face warnings in the modules when compiling.
* This will probably break the build, so hold tight. Preemptively, I'm on it...

I'm expieriencing the very same problem, i.e. code compilation with a 1.5.0_06 compiler and execution on a 1.5.0_06 jre works fine, but the code parser will display an red line under a code line like the following:
Vector<String> sv = new Vector<String>();
I did what was hinted to in the reply. I connected to archive rt.jar in the jre-director of the jdk-1.5 and connected the javadoc for 1.5, but I still have the red lines.
I have also added the argument -source 1.5 to the compiler, but nothing seems to help.
Any hints very much appreciated. Many thanks.

Yup. The source files are simply missing from the 4.5 source releases....I'm hitting the same issue when trying to rebuild the SDK with flexcover changes applied.

Getting error when updating the JavaScript API for Office and manifest schema files in your Visual Studio project from version 1.0 to 1.1

Hi,
I`m getting error message like "None of the apps in your project can be activated in the target. The manifest file of one or more apps contain API sets or Office applications that are not supported by
the target Office client. To debug those apps, update manifest files to exclude any unsupported API sets or Office applications, and then start the project again. Alternatively, you can debug your apps by using Office 365 as a target." when when
updating the JavaScript API for Office and manifest schema files in your Visual Studio project from version 1.0 to 1.1 in manifest file though i have added host elements.
any help in this regard is highly appreciated

Based on the description, you got the error message when you update the apps from version 1.0 to 1.1.
From the error message, it seems the menifest include some settings no allowed in the new version. Would you mind sharing more detail about how you update the project?
