    Hi
    Are you using wli process control?
    That uses wsdl and could cause the issue.
    I also saw couple of internal bugs CR264315 and CR288904 on the same issue on 9.2.
    Since this is a wli issue could you post in the wli newsgroup to get more answers http://forums.bea.com/forum.jspa?forumID=2047 ?
    Also you can open a BEA support case at http://support.bea.com and an wli support engineer would help you. Please refer to the Cr numbers above in your support case.
    Thanks

  • Error: "Could not find the main class: Files\NetBeans"

    I am working on a WorldWind mapping application but I think this issue is more of a straight Java question. I was attempting to add a web service reference by means of the NetBeans IDE. The reference compiled as it should have but then the application would not run. I deleted the reference, commented out all the code that used the web reference, basically restored all the code to how it was before trying to add the web service. The applicaiton still will not run with the message that it can't find the main class. I do, however, get a clean build. What should I do to fix this?
    Here is the error: "Could not find the main class: Files\NetBeans"
    thanks!

    thanks!Sounds like something (a .cmd file or .bat file, perhaps) is set up to launch NetBeans with a command line like this:
    java -classpath ... c:\Program Files\NetBeans ...
    So since the path has embedded space(s) in it, it thinks you are wanting to run a class named "Files\NetBeans", which does not exist.
    You need someone there who knows what they are doing to look into it for you.

    Hi, thank you for the reply.  However, java is definitely enabled on my computer, on all my browsers.  In fact, if I go to the SUN website and run the java test, I get that all is OK.
    I think it may have something to do with the .class (maybe in .jar-file) compiled with a higher version of java than the virtual machine trying to run it.
    The example I found (google search) is .class-file that is compiled with JDK 6 and I am trying to run it with 1.4 JVM.
    There is some software error going on somewhere... but I do not know enough to fix it.
    Many thanks for all your help

  • I am able to compile a java file in eclipse inspite of compilation errors shown in eclipse and a .class file is generated

    Hi,
    I had a java file with compilation errors as shown in eclipse IDE.
    But the class file is still generated in the classes folder on building and pressing clean the project.
    I confirmed that the class file has an updated time stamp and also that a System.out.println() statement that i added was indeed printed out when this class was encountered during the running of a web application in which this class was called somewhere.
    (The java class has no subclasses and it is a single class with public modifier).
    How does it happen so?
    Regards,
    Karthik.

    As far as I know, the java code is compiled in Eclipse as soon as you save it. i.e. press CTRL+SHIFT+s
    as far as the build is concerned, in case you have a build file where you specify how to make a jar file, the location the jsr file is to be placed, only then you have to build the project. However again, as far as just simple compile is concerned as soon as you save the files are compiled. And show you the errors if any in the tasks window.

    Thanks in Advance!

    Hi
    I goggled your error and got "the above error usually comes when there is a wrong jdk version, invalid JDK installation or corrupted JDK or the JDK software downloaded is not for the OS where it is forcefully installed."
    Are you using the correct version of J Developer for the version of E-Business suite you are deploying it to? There is a document on metalink 416708.1 which tells you which patch you have to download depending on the verison of E-Business suite.

    Then I go for creating new enterprise bean. I get same application name in Drop down list named "Enterprise Bean will go in".
    Then I can add home, remote and ejb class file to create jar ("Add" under "Contents" ).
    When I say ok after adding these 3 files, I am getting error - "You must add the Class files for this enterprise bean".

  • Java Programming: Any Ideas for breaking a huge class file into smaller ?

    Hello Java pros,
    I have some very huge class files, some with dozens of methods; each method containing an average of a screen-page full of code.
    Obviously, such huge class files are difficult to maintain inspite of using an IDE, especially when changes have to be made to a bunch of a category of methods scattered all over the class.
    I am wondering if there are ways/best-practices out there to make the core class file smaller/smarter - fr eg.
    <a> by retaining the real core definitions within the core class and moving the detailed implementation outside the core class
    <b> by breaking down the file into more manageable pieces - something to the effect of using 'include' files that some languages support
    etc.
    Thanks for your help in advance.
    Sree Nidhi

    If you have huge class files with dozens of methods, maybe the design of your application is not so sound. You could use all kinds of OO design techniques to design your application so that it is easier to maintain.
    Start by learning about design patterns. The most famous book about design patterns is this one: http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/0201633612/qid=1029971487/sr=2-1/ref=sr_2_1/102-4299125-5141710
    Here is also a nice book about anti-patterns: http://www.antipatterns.com/

  • JDBC error : UnsupportedClassVersionError:Bad version number in .class file

    Hi All,
    I am currently working with PI 7.1 on an Idoc ->XI->JDBC scenario. The DB being used in our case is SQL 2008. We have successfully installed the JDBC driver provided by MS. When the message reached the JDBC the following error is listed in RWB.
    JDBC Message processing failed, due to Error when attempting to get processing resources: com.sap.aii.af.lib.util.concurrent.ResourcePoolException: Unable to create new pooled resource: DriverManagerException: Can not establish connection:: UnsupportedClassVersionError: Bad version number in .class file
    We tried reinstalling the JDBC drivers as well , but to no avail.. .
    Any idea on why this could happen ?
    Regards,
    Sandeep

    Hi Mallikarjun,
        Are you getting this error for only specific channel or all channels?
    If you are getting this for all channels check your drivers of they are installed correctly....
    if it is for specific channel then try increasing JDBC thread count and in restart the channel...

    Can anyonetell me what I need to do to improve the performance of my plugin in this case. Is a parameter not set?
    Thanks,
    Marc

    If you are using the JDK 1.6 plugin, then you can set the "codebase_lookup" property to false to avoid these calls. Documented in
    http://java.sun.com/javase/6/docs/technotes/guides/plugin/developer_guide/special_attributes.html#specialattributes
    If you're using JDK 1.5 or below, well, tough luck.

  • Error when trying to build to .class files

    i dont know if i am even doing it right, but here goes
    I use
    java -classpath "c:\path to source";"c:\path to source\jakarta-regexp-1.2.jar" -g -d .. *.java
    when i launch i get
    unrecongnized option: -g
    could not create the java virtual machine.
    anyone have a idea that might be able to fix this?

    Then add %CLASSPATH% to the classpath
    javac -classpath "c:\path to source;c:\path to
    source\jakarta-regexp-1.2.jar;%CLASSPATH%" -g -d .. *.java

    Brandon Sky- sorry I am replying so late, for I have been very busy. The error message i got in Console after trying to open the file is below.
    Thanks MadMacs0, for I enabled Logging to be able to see this error messsage. Do you know how to access the page that says whether you are using 32-bit or 64-bit under the Java Control Panel? everyone says that is the solution to my problem, but unfortunately it was all under "Java Preferences."
    Brandon Sky- I do not know what this error message means, do u know? lol thanks :)

  • Java applet won't load on browser

    God, I've never been this frustrated with Java before.
    Ok, I created an applet in my eclipse IDE and ran it. It works. I decided to create a HTML file so that the applet would display on my firefox browser (my browser has no problem displaying java applets. All settings are fine).
    This is my HTML code:
    <html>
    <title>Site Selector</title>
    <body>
       <applet code = "SiteTesting.class" width = "300" height = "75">
       </applet>
    </body>
    </html>Now, my eclipse IDE creates a "src" or source folder and a bin folder. The bin folder is where the class files are kept. The HTML file was in the src folder. When I ran it, I got this:
    load: class SiteTesting.class not found.
    java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: SiteTesting.class
         at sun.plugin2.applet.Applet2ClassLoader.findClass(Unknown Source)

         ... 9 more
    Exception: java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: SiteTesting.classMakes sense, considering the class file isn't in the src folder. So I copied the class files into the src folder, ran the HTML file, and I got this:
    java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: SiteTesting (wrong name: networking/SiteTesting)

    Exception: java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: SiteTesting (wrong name: networking/SiteTesting)Huh. I took the html file and placed it in the bin folder where the class file was and I ran it and got the exact same error message above.
    I'm obviously doing something wrong. So, any help in fixing this will be most appreciated. Cheers

    Your java file starts with:
    package networking;Right?
    If so, the fully qualified name name of your class is networking.SiteTesting.
    Use this in the applet tag:
    <applet code = "networking.SiteTesting" width = "300" height = "75">Suppose you have your html file in the directory zzz.
    Put SiteTesting.class in zzz/networking/, like this:
    zzz/whatever.html
    zzz/networking/SiteTesting.class

  • Keep getting java script errors in DW CS3

    I have been using Dreamweaver CS3 and had not had problems up to last month or so. Now I keep getting Java errors and java script errors whenever i try to put a file to my site or even on some task boxes that have undefined in the command box instead of the normal command. I am wondering if downloading product again could help but i worry about licensing problem. It seems like there is no support for CS3 Dreamweaver.
    I resent the fact i may have to upgrade to Dreamweaver CS5. IF I do can I just upgrade Dreamweaver and not the other programs as part of the web design suite? My last upgrade was the CS3 web design suite.
    Gary

    Thanks for the suggestion, I followed the links and instructions and still have same problem. Very frustrating as I cannot get any phone support, actually i was told Dreamweaver CS3 is not being supported anymore, and I was directed to this forum.
    Kind of makes me not like Adobe and I am going to search for another web building program. Once I calm down I may consider just upgrading to CS 5 Dreamweaver. Do I have to upgrade the entire Web Design suite or can I just upgrade Dreamweaver?
    Another option is to try and reinstall but I worry I can run into licensing problems (I think I ran into this before as destop and laptop crashed and had to reinstall).
