JAVA Class error .. cannot locate the issue (my code included)

I am diving into JAVA, and I am experiencing a little bit of difficulty. The code below is not working ::
package therectangeclass;
public class Rectangle {
private double length;
private double width;
public Rectangle(double l, double w) {
length = l;
width = w;
public double calculateArea() {
return length * width;
public class RectangleUser
public static void main(String argv[]) {
Rectangle rectangle1 = new Rectangle(30,10);
Rectangle rectangle2 = new Rectangle(25,20);
System.out.println("rectangle1 area" +
rectangle1.calculateArea());
System.out.println("rectangle2 area" +
rectangle2.calculateArea());
This is the error I am getting::

Hi everybody... Im studing too.. I think thats error is because you cannot declare static into inner classes. I re-write your code and work... I just declare the inner class inside the static main.
What you think about...
