Java class viewer

Hello.
I need GUI Java tool ( should be developed with Swing ) that allows to see in run time Java objects with all its members and their values and option to drill down to complex types needed also.
This is should be like Inspect/Watch view option in debugger.
I know that such tool can be developed but I prefer to use/buy such already ready and checked tool.
Thank you.
Evgeny

OK, found a lot - thanks for reading - nevertheless :-)
(sometimes just posting seems to be enough for the net to let you found what you're looking for ...)

  • How can I either move or view the source of a JAVA CLASS user object?

    I am using Oracle 8i and I have the following JAVA CLASS objects in my database. I need to move some of these objects to a different database.

    The source far java class objects that are not derived from java source objects
    (which is the case here, and is typically the case, such as when one loads
    classes into the database using loadjava on a jar that contains only .class
    files) does not exist in the database (just as it does not exist in a jar which
    contains only .class files). So there is essentially no way to view the source, short of extracting the bytecodes and using some decompiling tool. I don't recall what methodologies exist for extracting bytecodes in 8i. As for transferring
    the classes to another database, the standard Oracle import/export tool can do this.

  • Problem viewing data through autogenerated java class

    I have a AQ created with a custom data types as below.
    User type definition
    type clr_msg_type as object(
    firm_id number,
    b_com_id number,
    cl_com_id number,
    action varchar2(15),
    action_id varchar2(15),
    user_id varchar2(30),
    clr_status varchar2(20),
    p_id number,
    message_type varchar2(50) );
    I am having issues with viewing the above object which is the payload on the AQ.
    I see "???" for all the variables except b_com_id,cl_com_id and firm_id. rest of the variable I see as "???" when I try to run the debugger.
    To map the above object I used jpublisher to auto generate the java class which has getters and setters for the above variables.
    I used below command to generate the class.
    jpub -user=username/password -sql=CAT.CLEARING_MSG_TYPE -case=mixed -usertypes=jdbc -methods=false -url=jdbc:oracle:thin:@192.134.124.210:1450:dev5
    I have below files in my classpath.
    C:\oracle-jpublisher\sqlj\lib\translator.jar;C:\oracle-jpublisher\sqlj\lib\runtime12.jar;C:\oracle-jpublisher\sqlj\lib\
    ojdbc14.jar;C:\oracle\product\10.2.0\client_1\jlib\orai18n.jar;
    I can view data in the below variables:
    firm_id number,
    b_com_id number,
    cl_com_id number,
    But I see "???" in the below variables:
    action varchar2(15),
    action_id varchar2(15),
    user_id varchar2(30),
    clr_status varchar2(20),
    p_id number,
    message_type varchar2(50) );
    Any idea why this is happening?

    if the data is there ( and I can't see why it's not) then the issue is actually printing it on the paper and the issue may be with the font not working with this printer if the static text always prints ( and is in BOLD) then lets just try that and if it works and you can verify that is the issue then you will know where to solve the issue.
    as someone** else has posted elsewhere debugging is a case of divide and conquer. (**Michael Meyers-Jouan)

    Hello all,

    go to view the actual code for these methods. I find
    it very frustratingto learn how to use these methods,
    and yet not to be able to see the actual code that
    executes them.First thing you should know is that not all code is open-source. You are rarely going to get the source code with libraries and other such items.
    Second, you can always read the JavaDocs provided on this site.
    http://java.sun.com/reference/api/
    API documentation is much more informative (often times) than reading the source code itself.
    Third, the JDK ships with the source code. You can also get copies of the source code from java.net by enrolling in one of the programs and agreeing to the terms and conditions provided therein.

  • How to access a Java class from view controller?

    Hi All,
    I have created a Test.java class file from Navigator view under
    Src --> Packages --> com.sap.MyProject.
    When I try to access the Test class from view controller,
    I getting this error "Test cannot be resolved or is not a type".
    How do I fix this?
    Thanks
    Sundar

    Hi,
    I have created a Test.java class file from Navigator view under
    Src --> Packages --> com.sap.MyProject.
    After this you can goto the context of your View and define the VA goto the type of VA and click on the right side button and go to java native type and type your java file name click you name .
    that means the jave file s assigned to VA.
    U can utilize thrut that VA.
    Thanks,
    Lohi.

  • Problem with cfobject calling java class

    hi there,
    i have a small java class that takes 2 arguments in
    (fileToRead & fileToWrite) and everything runs fine when i run
    the class from the command line...
    C:\>java csvParser fileToRead fileToWrite
    however when i try to instantiate the class via cfobject like
    so :
    <cfobject type="Java" action="create" class="csvParser"
    name="convert">
    <cfset convert.init(#tmpfile#, "text.xml")>
    it continuously throws the following error at me :
    Unable to find a constructor for class csvParser that accepts
    parameters of type ( java.lang.String, java.lang.String ).
    any ideas ast to what i may be missing here...startin to
    drive me batty.

    C:\>java csvParser fileToRead fileToWrite
    Suggests you passed arguments as args[0] and args[1] to the
    method
    public static void main(String[] args)
    <cfobject type="Java" action="create" class="csvParser"
    name="convert">
    <cfset convert.init(#tmpfile#, "text.xml")>
    Suggests the code for the class CSVParser has the following
    constructor definition:
    private String s1, s2;
    CSVParser (String s1, String s2) {
    this.s1=s1;
    this.s2=s2;
    This seems unlikely, in view of
    "everything runs fine when i run the class from the command
    line". One possibility is to convert the
    public static void main method into, for example, the public
    method
    doThemFiles(String s1, String s2), not forgetting to include
    the return-type in its signature. You could then run
    <cfobject type="Java" action="create" class="csvParser"
    name="convert">
    <cfset convert.doThemFiles("#tmpfile#", "text.xml")>

  • What's the Java Class Type corresponding 2 projectGantt's SubTasks Accessor

    Hi,
    I expose my java class as data control, and use the data control as a projectGantt. I get problem when i try to set the SubTask Accessor.
    I have a Fusion Web App, in the Model project, i write 2 java class: ( all the private fields has public gettors and settors which are omitted here)
    1
    public class GanttTask {
    private List<GanttTask> _subTaskList = new ArrayList<GanttTask>();
    2
    public class GanttDataControl {
    private List<GanttTask> _dataList;
    I expose the 2nd class: GanttDataControl.java as a data control by right click on it and select _"Create Data Control "_ from the drop down list.
    The data control creation is ok.
    I Drag&Drop the +"dataList"+ from the data control as a projectGantt, and only finish the data binding in the _"Tasks"_ tab.
    I run the page, the projectGantt shows ok with a FLAT(list) structure.
    I try to set the binding in _"Subtasks"_ tab.
    In the _"Subtasks Accessor"_ LOV, the +"subTaskList"+ appears in the LOV.
    I select it and finish the binding below it.
    I try to run the page again, the page cannot be showed and an error appears in JDeveloper:
    <LifecycleImpl> <_handleException> ADF_FACES-60098:Faces lifecycle receives unhandled exceptions in phase RENDER_RESPONSE 6

    i try to manually add the subTaskList from the data control to the page's "Bindings", it doesnt work.
    I solve this problem by using VO & View Link. Add using AM to expose data control.
    In the SubTasks dropdown list, I notice that, there is an additional SubTasks accessor which is the accessor that i defined in the View Link.
    I use this accessor, problem solves!

  • I can not drag java class onto uml class diagram - why??

    Hi
    1. I created a new java web project
    2. I created a new uml project.
    3. I created new classes in the java web project.
    4. I created a new "class diagram" in the uml project.
    PROBLEM:
    1. When I drag one of the classes onto the class diagram screen, nothing happens. That is, when I perform the "drop"...nothing happens.
    (NOTE: when I drag a "package" to the class diagram, a box representing the java package appears... I just cant get this to work for a class(s) )
    QUESTION:
    Should I be able to drag a class (or classes) from my web project src folder onto the UML project's class diagram and have UML representations of the classes appear?

    Hi Shay
    Unfortunately, I cannot view the suggested youtube stuff at work. (I'll try to view it when I get home)
    But, in the meantime, I did kind of get things working...
    After creating the java project and uml project (and initial class diagram), I had to
    1. drag the java packages (containing the classes I wanted diagrammed) onto the root node of the UML project (i.e., located on the left side "navigation" bar). Afterward, the package appeared under the UML project....Then,
    2. One by one I had to drag the individual java classes from the java project onto the root node of the UML project (i.e,. the classes then appeared under their respective packages under the UML project) . Then,
    3. Then, finally, I could drag the java classes (listed under their respective packages under the UML project) onto the class diagram panel, where the rendered properly.
    I dont know if this is supposed to be the way to "reverse engineer" java classes to be part of a UML class diagram... But, it was the only way I found that worked... thus far, anyway.
    Thanks again for reading my post and answering so promptly.... That was much appreciated!

  • Error while trying to call Java Class from Peoplecode

    Gurus,
    I am trying to read a property file from peoplecode using standard java classes. However, I am getting this error more than one overload matches
    Below are 2 ways in which I tried doing this and both ended up in the same error
    Code 1>_
         Local JavaObject &file = CreateJavaObject("java.io.File", "D:\\psft.properties");
         Local JavaObject &properties = CreateJavaObject("java.util.Properties");
         Local JavaObject &reader = CreateJavaObject("java.io.FileReader", &file);
         &properties.load(); Error thrown : "Calling Java java.io.FileReader.<init>: more than one overload matches"
    Code 2>_
         Local JavaObject &file = CreateJavaObject("java.io.File", "D:\\psft.properties");
         Local JavaObject &properties = CreateJavaObject("java.util.Properties");
         Local JavaObject &properyFile = CreateJavaObject("java.io.FileInputStream", &file);
         &properties.load();
    Error thrown : "Calling Java java.io.FileInputStream.<init>: more than one overload matches."
    The above error is thrown on the 3rd line when I try to invoke the FileInputStream or FileReader class/constructor.
    In fact both the above code pieces work absolutely fine when I write them into a java class and run them on a java runtime. Any inputs would be of great help !! Alternatively, I will have to use peoplecode file.readline(), etc to read the property file. Since java has this smarter way to reading a property file, I thought of giving it a try ..

    I tested this on one of my windows servers using PT 8.50:

    Local boolean &filemodified = &joCurrFile.setLastModified(&modifytime);
    MessageBox(0, "", 0, 0, "&modifytime: " | &modifytime, "");
    MessageBox(0, "", 0, 0, "&filemodified: " | &filemodified, "");
    MessageBox(0, "", 0, 0, "new time: " | &joCurrFile.lastModified());Here are the results:

    Application Engine program DSS_TEST_IO ended normallyDoes your app server have permissions to modify the files you are trying to modify? Also, how did you verify the date/time of the files? Were you using Windows Explorer? Did you refresh the view first? Or did you use the console dir/ls? I seriously doubt there is a security manager in place that would restrict what you can do with Java. Security managers are common in applets/browser context, but not in apps.

  • Java class can't be edit in NWDS?

    I can view source code of java class :com.sapportals.wcm.control.collaboration.discussion.flex.SingleDiscLayoutController in Package Explor
    but I can't edit?
    How should i do if I really want to change the java class
    Please throw some lights on this!!
    BestRegards
    Han

    Hi There,
    By decompiling the class file using <b>JAD or DJ Java Decompiler</b>, you will get the .java file (you'll be able to see the source code). Save the file as SingleDiscLayoutController.java
    Now, you can edit the java file.
    Hope it helps.

  • Using RichOutputText value in a java class

    Hi to everybody. I'm using Jdeveloper 11g and I'm developing an application that shows a tree in a jsp page. The java class that implements tree component need to receive a value written in a RichOutputText in the same Jsp page. Is it possible to do it? If yes, how can i realize it?

  • Update account in a java class

    Hello,
    I am trying to assign a role in a java class. This role contains a resource.
    The role is assigned but now I have to update the IDM account to create the account in the resource. I can update it clicking on the save button of the interface.
    Do you know how to update it from the java class ?
    Thanks,

    Checkout/checkin the user view:
    String viewId = "User:"+accountId;
    GenericObject view = s.checkoutView(viewId, new HashMap());
    view.put("resourceAccounts.selectAll", true);
    s.checkinView(view, new HashMap());

    Maybe try to clear the cache when at home, then visit the page again in office to see if that's a caching issue:
    Start > Control Panel > Java > Under "General" tab, click the "View" button under Temporary Internet Files section.
    In the Java Cache Viewer dialog > Select "Resources" from the "Show" drop down menu, find the row that says Name=jreVerify.class, URL= http://java.com/jsp_utils/jreVerify.class
    p.s. You can sort the table view by clicking on the column head. You may want to delete other cache from java.com to detect the caching issue.
    Hope that helps.

  • How to determine the jspx page name in the EntityImpl Java Class

    Hello, I'm new jdev programmer. I've come across a scenario that I haven't been able to figure out.
    I have a small application with only two pages, but uses the same Entity class. I have two views (One view per page).
    In the protected void doDML() method the Entity class, I want the custom logic I have in this method to fire if the call is coming only from a certain page.
    Is there a way to determine which "Page" is active in this java class, so that I can do a simple if statement to check if this is the page, and then fire my custom logic in the method?
    Thanks

    I'll +1 Frank on this one.
    There's been a few posts in the past few weeks like this, where I see people trying to access the view state in the model or vice-versa perhaps. I'd like to share one of my "tips and tricks" here:
    Pretend that the model (your business components) and your view (the JSF page/ Swing app) are running on different machines (because they can!) You can physically deploy your model and your view on two separate machines; so, if you find yourself trying to get the view state in the model layer, or trying to grab a JDBC connection in the view layer - don't!
    Hope this helps,
    John
