How to determine the jspx page name in the EntityImpl Java Class

Hello, I'm new jdev programmer. I've come across a scenario that I haven't been able to figure out.
I have a small application with only two pages, but uses the same Entity class. I have two views (One view per page).
In the protected void doDML() method the Entity class, I want the custom logic I have in this method to fire if the call is coming only from a certain page.
Is there a way to determine which "Page" is active in this java class, so that I can do a simple if statement to check if this is the page, and then fire my custom logic in the method?

There's been a few posts in the past few weeks like this, where I see people trying to access the view state in the model or vice-versa perhaps. I'd like to share one of my "tips and tricks" here:
Pretend that the model (your business components) and your view (the JSF page/ Swing app) are running on different machines (because they can!) You can physically deploy your model and your view on two separate machines; so, if you find yourself trying to get the view state in the model layer, or trying to grab a JDBC connection in the view layer - don't!

I am working on an enterprise wiki site collection, and currently each wiki Page will have two properties that seems confusing; Name & Title.
While the default edit form allow to edit the Wiki Page Name only , it does not provide a way to edit the Title.
So my question is about how I can update the Wiki Page title to be always equal to the Wiki Page name that the user enters?
For example when I first create a wiki page I miss-spell the word “Bookmark”, so I wrote the following for the wiki page name:-

How to get the presentation node name at the page title?

Hi,
I am setting the title of any page dynamically at the framework/portal.jsp. In
order to do this, I am doing:
PageState pageState = PortalRenderHelper.getPageState(request);
String pageName = pageState.getDisplayName();
and displaying the page name in the title.
Now, in order to have automated tests work correctly, I have to give a unique
name to all the different presentation nodes. Thus, the title should be something
like pageName:nodeName. How can I do that? Any suggestions?

I think it possible to access that data through embedded java or by creating some custom java function.
If you put this under Java Embedded activity you will recieve the name of the previous activity at runtime.

The result is a UIWebView that displays a blank page. No errors occur in the UIWebView delegate method. The thing is that data has the correct length, in bytes, for the PDF I am trying to display, and I also get the pdf file in Library/Application Support/iPhone Simulator/4.3.2/Applications/ Does anyone have an idea as to what might be going wrong here or how I can better debug this problem?

Hello.
I believe this is a Windows related issue, since it's the windows Save File manager we're talking about here (right?). You should contact Microsoft for help on that one, I believe. You'd expect to be able to delete the entries by simply tapping ''Delete'' on your keyboard when they are focused (that's how it goes for deleting specific form autocomplete entries in Firefox), but I haven't tried that.

How to get the Portal Page name from PLSQL?

Can anyone tell me how to get the portal page name from my dynamic page using plsql?
Apparently you can get the page id and work it out from there, but my calls to get the page id are not returning any values anyway.
My code for attempting to get the page id is below.

Few clarifications -
1. wwpro_api_parameters cannot be used to get default portal
page parameters such as '_pageid', '_dad', '_schema' etc.,
2. Page information can be obtained through any components which
are available in that particular page. For example, in case of
dynamic page, we need to publish it as a portlet and add it to the
page. This process creates necessary packages in the DB, but we
will not have access to the portlet methods.
So, I would prefer creating a simple DB provider & portlet and access
page title from its show method as follows -

provider_id = p_portlet_record.provider_id;

Secondly, usage of wwpro_api_parameters.get_value method is
incorrect. This method expects two arguments -

p_reference_path would be something like 99_SNOOP_PORTLET_76535103 and not some type of path as its name suggests.

How to remove the caching in the jspx page?

I have few links in a jsp page through which i can navigate to jspx pages. In one of the jspx pages there are few drop downs of whose options will be populated from database. when I select a value from the drop down (values are prepopulated in the drop down), then go to the jsp page and visit the jspx again through the link, (without closing the browser) the value which i selected previously is selected as a default value. Why this is happening? Is there anything to be set to remove the caching?

I have an application which uses JSP - only welcome page, ADF Faces, Spring, Hibernate technologies. The IDE I am using is NetBeans 5.5 bundled with Tomcat & JBoss.
The welcome page (index.jsp) consists of normal html anchors - hyperlinks (2 Numbers) which each hyperlink would navigate the user to 2 individual jspx pages.

Can I stop iWeb from putting a page name at the top?

I don't want page names across the top in iWeb. I have a list of hyperlinked icons on the side for that.
Can anyone tell me how to stop iWeb from putting the page name on the page?

The script is for the text in the browser title bar.
The title is taken from the large textbox at the top of each webpage.
If that box is missing or empty, iWeb uses a next textbox for the title.
If that is missing too, the pagename is used for the title.
If you want the title in the titlebar but not the large textbox on your page, select the textbox, do Cm-T and drag the font-size slider to the bottom.
Then click the color next to the T-icon and drag that opacity slider to the left (0).
Then resize the textbox to it minimun size and drag it out of view. And don't forget you did.
But I think the OP means the navigation links at the top.

I wanted to create 4 columns on the page layout. These 4 columns are of page contents.
After creating new web page based on that page layout, I attempted to enter 4 different inputs on all 4 columns.
Then, the result (from all columns) becomes the same.

I divided one jspx page into 2 parts(Left and Right). In Left side part contain Tree component. Onclick on any node in Tree component, Include another jspx page in Right side. The included jspx contain one submit button. If I click on that button corresponding backing bean is not getting call.
If I tested with individual pages its working fine. It is getting fail when ever I included jspx page into another.

Guys this is absolute rubbish feature of the login application where people's login names get recorded in the dropdown menu. Is there any more permanent way of getting rid of this annoying privacy intrusive "feature"? I would like to have a profile with a username that is not going to appear at airports and my grandma's laptop after I log out of skype and no I do not want to go digging for app files to remove my entire history on each and every machine I use as suggested by your help files. How can I remove old calendar names from the iTunes sync list?

I gave my calendars new names as part of reducing the total number of calendars in my iCal, and now iTunes still lists the old calendar names as well as the new ones in its "selected calendars" list, even though these names are no longer present in my iCal nor on my iPod Touch. The "genius" folks at the Apple Store lived up to their names. The key was to reset the iSync history in the iSync Preferences.

I am unable to debug the jspx page on Jdeveloper Studio Edition Version 11.1.1.6.0, Build JDEVADF_11.1.1.6.0_GENERIC_111205.1733.6192.1, using Windows 7 OS.
When right click on jspx page , clicks on Debug option, it gives the following error:
Debugger unable to connect to local process.
[Server Instance IntegratedWebLogicServer is shutting down. All applications currently running will be terminated and undeployed.]
I also restarted the Jdeveloper, even re-installed Jdev but still the problem persist.
Any help is appreciated.

If the jspx page is not part of the adfc-config.xml the page can only be displayed, but the tags will not work as the adf life cycle is not involved. drag te page onto the adfc-config.xml (the unbounded task flow), right click on it and select debug from the context menu.
Main problem is : Weblogic server cannot be started in debug mode.
To check this, open the application navigator, select the integrated server, right click on it and select 'debug' from the context menu.
After a short time you should see some messages and at last you should see <Runnning> in the message log. Now the server runs (without any of your applications, but it runs).
If you done't see the 'Running' message you should see an error, which you should post here.
