Java DC is not deploying
We are modifying the authentication into the portal. We are following the article <a href="https://www.sdn.sap.comhttp://www.sdn.sap.comhttp://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/069eaf4b-0901-0010-6e89-d1fcceebcbf1">https://www.sdn.sap.comhttp://www.sdn.sap.comhttp://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/069eaf4b-0901-0010-6e89-d1fcceebcbf1</a>
Our team would like modify it slightly (messages and such). I'm a java novice (was a .Net person before we got SAP). We use NWDI. We created a software component, name space, etc. I created a development component (DC). But I think I might have created the wrong kind of DC. I can get my version to build but it does not show as Deployed. We've been all over NWDI's CMS etc to see where we went wrong. I want to verify that I chose the right kind of Java project and placed my code in a "deployable area".
When I created my DC I chose it of type "Java".
I then went into the src/packages folder and created my package and java class
the other folders created by the wizard are empty.
Here's a list of the folders and their contents
NDI_PORTAL_D~portal~security~iplogon~spiritaero.com

Where did I go wrong?
Diane
Diane, a Java DC is, by itself, not a deployable unit of code. Generally speaking, you can only deploy applications (ear's) or libraries to the Java engine (there are other types, but these are the most common). So, to deploy your Java code, you must create a Library DC, and create a DC usage to the Java DC. Build the library DC, and then deploy that to the engine.

Hope that helps you out!

Java DC not deployed with WebDynPro DC
Hi,
I've been testing the DC functionality and I'm trying to create the following:
1) WebDynPro DC (DCA)
2) Java DC (DCB)
DCB has code for reading data from a database table (three classes, one is set as a public part). This code is functioning ok in another WebDynpro project where I've used it as an external jar file located in the lib directory and added to classpath.
DCA has a small table in the view that I'm filling (or trying to) with data from the database.
DCB has one java class as a Public Part. DCA has this PP defined in the Used DC's (DC Metadata --> DC definition --> Used DC's). I can see the DCB code fine from the DCA's view (I can use the methods from the class).
I see no code errors and everything compiles ok. I've built the DCA and DCB separately (Development Component --> Build) before doing the project build and deployment.
When I deploy, I'm getting java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError for the DCB class (User.class) when the program starts. So it seems that the DCB is not deployed with the DCA. I've tried to look at the properties and java classpath but nothing I've done has helped.
Purpose is set to compilation, and there is a
<at-build-time/>
tag in the .dcdef file.
Deployment of normal (no DC) Webdynpro projects works fine and the jars in the lib directory are deployed to the server OK.
Seems like I've tried everything but have found no solution yet. Refreshed every part, re-created everything, re-built, re-deployed etc...
Shortly: how to get DCB to deploy ?
Any help is appreciated here
Kind Regards,
Jari PakarinenHi,
What is the Java DC for then ? If it cannot be used as a part of another DC (deployable unit) then how should it be used ? What is the use if it does not end up at the server with Webdynpro code ?
The scenario I'm looking for is to include Java classes in a Webdynpro project as a part of the project (not jars done somewhere else, I can do that already) deployed to the server with the Webdynpro.
Thank you for your help, I'm not blaming you or anything

Can not deploy Oracle Spatial Routing Engine on Oracle Weblogic
I posted my question with Oracle Support, however they directed me to the oracle forums. I am hoping this problem can be resolved here. In any event I am getting the following stack trace (shown below). I am using Spatial Version 11.2.0.1.0, Map Viewer 11.1.1.5.1, and WebLogic 10.3.5.0, and data-set provided by Pro Oracle Spatial for Oracle Database 11g - Apress boos. I have successful in deploying Map Viewer, Geocoder Server, but not the Routing Server.
Below is the stack trace:

Jenkins not deploying on Tomcat; SSH Service not starting
So I've had a couple of problems happening. My first problem is that even though sshd.service and sshd.socket are enabled with systemctl, it does not automatically start. There are no errors reported in journalctl, it just does not start. When issuing systemctl status sshd.service and systemctl status sshd.socket, there is nothing to report. Once I manually start them, there are no errors reported, and everything works as expected.

EDIT:
The SSHD problem is fixed. I read more closely at the sshd.socket config, and it clearly states it conflicts with sshd.service. I disabled service and everything works fine. But I am still having trouble getting Jenkins to work with Tomcat.
Last edited by ZMoore (2014-09-15 00:33:18)Thank you, but the problem is a little different from that. These are
exploded web apps outside the applications dir. I deployed them
through the console initially; on the other servers, when WL restarts,
the apps are deployed back to their targets just fine. It's only this
box that loses sense of the targets on WL restart.
We're on 6.1, so a few people have suggested upgrading to 6.1 sp4 --
they've said they've seen this problem, and the sp corrects it.
That said, this is a production box and upgrading it is a hassle. I'll
get started on scheduling that, but if anyone has any ideas in the
meantime, I'd greatly appreciate it. If not, thanks anyway. :)

my web applications are not deploying; I have to deploy them manually.
This is bad, obviously, because the server won't restore properly
after a restart.
After a while, I get target="box, box, box, box" that represents the
multiple times I've deployed that application to the target "box".
From config.xml:
<Application Deployed="true" Name="revx" Path="F:\revx">
<WebAppComponent Name="revx"
Targets="giocm,giocm,giocm,giocm,giocm,giocm,giocm"
URI="revx"/>
</Application>
The operating system is Windows 2000 5.00.2195 ... everything was
working fine until I re-installed the Windows service this weekend.
I've checked permissions on the folder, on the file, and who the
service is running as. I've manually edited config.xml to remove the
duplicate target entries.
I've seen some other posts from people who have also experienced
applications not deploying on WL restart, but I don't see any
resolutions.

Java Script Error while deploying a Model with Value Help
Hi,
I am using EP 7.0 SP 10.
I am trying to deploy a model which includes the Value Help for an Input field, and i am trying to deploy this model.
The model compiles successfully, but gives a Java Script Error while deploying the model,
! Error on Page
When Click on this java script error, it shows that ,
Line:14985
Char 1: Error
object does n't support this property or method.
code
URL: <serverhost>/VCRes/WebContent/VisualComposer6.0/bin/223334.htm?24102006.1712.
The Same model works in dev server, and it fails in the production server.
Thanks and Regards,
SekarHi jakob,
Thankyou for your quick response.
I did a basic model with the help of a documentation which i got from this forums.I created a iView and from there i used Bapi "BAPI_SALESORDER ".
I created a Input Form and a outpot form (table view).I tested model and am able to get the output.but when i try to deploy it is giving me the error.
And i think am not paring any formulas here.
Please guide me.
thanks and regrads

As i told i have Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit version. I install java and have problems with Java Deployment Toolkit and Java(TM) Platform SE. It won't show in add-on. I cant watch movies. When I play movie it says java is missing but when I use IE I can watch some movies. I try reinstaling Java and even reinstall Windows. But problem was still there. I run java check (from Firefox) to see if java is installed and it confrmed. I even try diferent versions of Java and Mozilla. I even use JDK and JRE. I install java for 64bit and mozilla is also for 64bit version of system.
I have another laptop with 32 bit version and everything works great. Installation procedure was same (only used 32bit versions of softwares).
When I go to control panel and java options (windows 64bit) enable java content in your browser is marked. But in advanced tab default java for browser (mozilla family) is unmarked. And when I mark box and leave (apply then ok) and return box is empty. It wont confirm. In 32bit version of laptop i have alsou java plugin but in 64 bit it is not there. Here is a picture what I was talking about. This is on windows 32 bit for 64bit is some just box for mozilla family is empty and under that java plugin do not exist.
[code]http://s23.postimg.org/dl4dun4p7/Untitled.jpg[/code]
hope someone have solution!!you don't have to reinstall firefox or java, you can just download and install the 32bit-java next to your currently installed java version. it should then be picked up by firefox and be displayed under firefox > addons > plugins...

Problem generating stubs for Java EJB web service deployed in OAS
I created an EJB web service and I've successfully deployed it in my Oracle App Server. Some of the methods work fine but others produce the ff error:
org.apache.soap.SOAPException - java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: No Serializer found to serialize [classname] using encoding style [encoding]It seems that the objects specified as parameters in the web service methods exposed are the only ones that had stubs generated for them. Other objects I use, which are usually wrapped inside a Vector, did not have generated stubs.
Example:
public String loginUser(UserDTO userDTO) throws RemoteException, NamingException, SQLException;
public String addItems (Vector vecItems) throws RemoteException, NamingException, SQLException; // where vecItems is a collection of ItemDTO objects In this scenario, stubs were generated for the UserDTO class, but not for the ItemDTO class. In effect, calling the addItems method resulted to the exception I mentioned above.
I did a workaround wherein I declared a dummy method which accepted all the types of objects I needed as parameters so all the necessary stubs can be generated, but this fix doesn't feel like it's the proper solution to my problem.
If anyone can help me, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!Crossposted:

Java Applets do not run when UAC is enabled on Windows 7
HI,
I'm deploying Java 6.0_26-b03+ on Windows 7 and experiencing following problem:
Java applets do not run as standard domain users in Internet Explorer 9 on Windows 7 when UAC is enabled (i.E. http://www.java.com/de/download/installed.jsp). When logged on as Administrator or start IE9 as Administrator java applets do run.
If I diable UAC an log on as normal user then applets do run. Applets then still run if UAC is re-enabled again. It seems that UAC needs to be disabled for the Java Plug-In to register something in user context (assumption). If this registration happended Java applets do run also for standard Windows 7 users if UAC is enabled.
Since we're planning a corporate Windows 7 rollout (>800PCs) we cannot do this manually on every computer. Ther must be any solution for this problem.
Does anybody have the same problem and has already found a solution?
This is the content of the error log file generated when a standard domain user tries to run http://www.java.com/de/download/installed.jsp

Since we're planning a corporate Windows 7 rollout (>800PCs) we cannot do this manually on every computer. Ther must be any solution for this problem. If you're doing a corporate rollout of that size then surely you're just making an image of the desired configuration and just duplicating it onto the 800 PCs? In which case you would just configure IE appropriately as part of the image.
Or alternatively you are manually configuring each of the 800 PCs, in which case this would be just one more thing in the checklist. -
URGENT -1 from DCM Command on OBE deploy === can not deploy/
Attempting to complete the OBE "Deploying J2EE and ADF Applications

Runs like a champ on the embedded oc4j
When i try to deploy the J2EE Application to oracle 9.0.4 getting a -1 from Oc4jDcmServlet <#### Deployment incomplete. #### >
< see attached >
when i look at the 9.0.4 Instance's XML log i get:
java.lang.Exception: can not deploy/undeploy to a disabled component: home

i have checked the home component. there is no way to enable / disable it just have start and stop and it is in the start state.

Java.lang.class not found
Hi,
I configured scenario FILE TO JDBC, the sender channel is successful but in the receiving I am getting the error that java.lang.class not found.
In the receiver communication channel, I gave "com.microsoft.jdbc.sqlserverdriver".
what database connection parameters need to be given??
Thanks,
Satish.Whats your database ?
As Suresh said, did you deploy your JDBC driver ?
How to ?

Hi
I have developed a search servlet and deployed it in tomcat 4.0.3 and connected to mysql database through jdbc by specifying jndi.
I have coded JNDI lokkup name as "java:comp/env/jdbc/KgoogleDB"
I have added a context in server.xml file of tomcat for DBCP connection pooling .I have tested this in windows and it is running well in it.
But when i hosted this in linux i got error like this

Hi,
Pardon my question, but I'm quite new at this. I'm trying to create a welcome application mentioned in the tutorial. When I selected 'Deploy new archive and run' I got the following message and the IE did not launch.
Jul 18, 2004 9:46:40 PM /userOut/deploy (com.sap.ide.eclipse.sdm.threading.DeployThreadManager) [main] INFO:
Welcome.ear -> Start asynchronous deployment
So I select run option, but got the following error. Can any body enlighten a rookie.
Thanks,
Iwan

[/code]Hi Iwan,
for some unknown reason the application deployment is not finished correctly. You should see something like "Deployed local/Welcome.ear successfully..." in the Deploy output view of the NetWeaver Developer studio.
It's hard to say why it fails in your case without having more information. Please have a look at the server-log using the visual administrator console. There's comprehensive help about the Log Viewer service in the online help of the Developer Studio.

Beans do not deploy under Service Pack 12
Hello, we recently upgraded our Weblogic 5.1 from Service Pack 10 to
Service Pack 12. All the beans compile and jar fine, and most deploy
ok apart from a few that give the exception given below. Does anyone
know anything in SP11 or SP12 that might cause this behaviour?
Thanks!

Java.rmi.RemoteException - on deploying a webservice through NWDS.
Hi All,
We have created and successfully build a webservice application in NWDS.
Now when the activity is activated in Activation view, the build goes fine but deployment gets aborted with the following error:
Caught exception during application deployment from SAP J2EE Engine's deploy service:
java.rmi.RemoteException: Cannot deploy application syngenta.com/crmws~usprvwebservice..
Reason: Webservices common deployment exception! The reason is: Error occurred, trying to update web services for application
The Runtime system is on SAP J2EE ENGINE CORE 7.00 - SPS 19.
For the same issue i checked in SDN and found out a SAP NOTE - 956443, according to which 2 sda files 'webservices' and 'webservices_lib' were to be deployed on the server.
We have done the same and restarted the engine also. But still on deployment we got the same error again.
Just wanted to know the workaround for this issue and whether some updated version of this SAP Note does exist?
Regards,
ShaileshHi All,
Now the above issue has been resolved and the webservice is getting deployed successfully, and is visible under Web service Navaigator of the desired server.
But when i am clicking on the webservice name i am getting an error:
Cannot download WSDL from http://<name>:<port>/webservicename/Config1?wsdl: java.lang.NullPointerException.
Could you please help out with this issue.
Regards,
Shailesh
