Java invocation of a SOA Suite 11g composite

Does anyone have any idea or can point me to a site that discusses how to startup a SOA 11g app using Java???????
Thanks - Casey

Hi Casey,
When you go to the em console and navigate to the deployed version of the composite application you will find a fullblown wsdl.
This one you can use to generate your webproxy against.
I used it also in my last blog, see :
http://eelzinga.wordpress.com/2010/05/21/scheduling-oracle-soa-suite-composite-applications-or-whatever-you-want-in-weblogic/
Hope it works for you too

  • Java Embedding bug in SOA Suite 11g BPEL??

    I am beginning to wonder if there is a 'bug' in the SOA Suite 11g, BPEL, Java Embedding activity? Need some help as soon as possible – does the Java Embedding activity work in SOA Suite 11g?
    Have tried the following on Jdev 11.1.1.1 and Jdev 11.1.1.3 – get the same error message (see below for error message).
    Thanks for any help - Casey
    I created a simple composite app by:
    1.     Created a Composite with BPEL Process
    2.     Created a BPEL variable by the name of Variable and a Simple Type of string      ({http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema}string)
    3.     Added an Assign activity (Assign_1) and assigned the value of “Test Var” to the variable Variable using a Copy operation.
    4.     Then, after the assign activity, added a Java Embedding activity (Java_Embedding_1) with Java Version set to 1.5 and the following code:
    +try{+*
    String var;*
    var=(String)getVariableData(Variable);*
    System.out.println(var);*
    +}  // end try+
    +catch(Exception ex){+*
    System.out.println(ex.getMessage());*
    +}// end catch+
    Compiled and got the following error message:
    Error(23,34): Failed to compile bpel generated classes.*
    failure to compile the generated BPEL classes for BPEL process "BPELProcess1" of composite "default/Project1!1.0"*
    The class path setting is incorrect.*
    Ensure that the class path is set correctly. If this happens on the server side, verify that the custom classes or jars which this BPEL process is depending on are deployed correctly. Also verify that the run time is using the same release/version.*
    Code for the BPEL component is:

    Java Embedding bug in SOA Suite 11g BPEL??

  • Problem with DB JCA adapter in Soa suite 11g composite appl

    i am testing a simple credit card validation composite with Oracle SOA suite 11g11.1.1.4.0, Jdevloper 11.1.1.3.0 and oracle universal XE DB. I am having an exception given below. I have checked that data source is properly configured and appearing at the right place in JNDI tree. Suggestion like 1) the Resource Adapters RAR file has not been deployed successfully to the WebLogic Application server or 2) the '<jndi-name>' element in weblogic-ra.xml has not been set to eis/DB/DBconnection. In the last case you will have to add a new WebLogic JCA connection factory (deploy a RAR) has also been tried result is same

    Hi,

  • Java Embedingin BPEL of SOA suite 11g

    Hi,
    To remove namespace of a soap element we are using java embedding in BPEL of SOA suite 11g.
    Added related libraries in jdev project properties and deployed to generate a sar while.
    When i am trying to deploy this SAR through em console to SOA server following error is diasplayed.
    Deploying on "/Farm_SOA_domain/SOA_domain/soa_server1" ...
    Deploying on "/Farm_SOA_domain/SOA_domain/soa_server1" failed!
    Error during deployment: Error occurred during deployment of component: CallOIM to service engine: implementation.bpel for composite: SOAComposite1: ORABPEL-01005

    The class path setting is incorrect.
    Ensure that the class path is set correctly. If this happens on the server side verify that the custom classes or jars which this BPEL process is depending on are deployed correctly. Also verify that the run time is using the same release/version.
    jars are deployed properly on the server. Any pointers on the same will be more helpful.
    Thanks,
    Sowmya

    I haven't done it in 11g but I'm sure it is the same.
    you need to import the java classes. to do this add the following to you .bpel source code
    <bpelx:exec import="java.util.*"/>
    <bpelx:exec import="java.lang.*"/>
    <bpelx:exec import="java.math.*"/>
    place it between the lines:
    xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema">
    <!--
    PARTNERLINKS
    e.g.
    xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema">
    <bpelx:exec import="java.util.*"/>
    <bpelx:exec import="java.lang.*"/>
    <bpelx:exec import="java.math.*"/>
    <!--
    PARTNERLINKS
    Also from memory the System.out.println never worked for me, or it printed in the logs which wasn't helpful. What you can do is assign it to another variable, e.g.
    String input = (String)getVariableData("InputSring");
    setVariableData("OutputSring",input);
    OutputString is my variable defined in BPEL.
    cheers

  • SOA Suite 11g composite application deployment to SOA cluster?

    What is the best practice for 11g composite app deployments to a SOA cluster? Currently, when customer deploys SOA composite it only gets deployed to one of the SOA managed servers in the cluster and the only way for them to sync up SOA1 and SOA2 is by bouncing the servers. Is there a best practice on how to deploy composite apps to SOA clustered env?

    1) When we deploy the composite, will it be distributed across all the servers in the cluster ? or only in one server?
    If you deploy it on to cluster it will be distributed across all the servers.
    2) If i have a composite which polls the file, and we deploy this composite in the cluster, How to avoid the locking between two processes since both are same and polling to same directory?
    Set the connectionfactory to this value eis/HAFileAdapter for example
    <adapter-config name="FlatStructureIn" adapter="File Adapter"

  • Error message deploying a composite in SOA Suite 11g

    Hello,
    We are attempting to deploy a composite to SOA Suite 11g (11.1.1.3). We're getting an 'Unable to register service' error message. When I inspect the log files I see the following entry as the first error:
    Failed to retrieve policy[[
    oracle.wsm.policyaccess.PolicyAccessException: WSM-06146 : Error deleting the attachment entries.
    Anybody have any experience with this error? The error message reference has the following listed:
    WSM-06146: Error deleting the attachment entries.
    Cause: Failure occurred while deleting the attachment entries.
    Action: Ensure that a valid list of policy subjects for deactivated lifecycle type is passed
    Level: 32
    Type: INCIDENT_ERROR
    Impact: Configuration
    I don't know how to "ensure that a valid list of policy subjects for deactivated lifecycle type is passed". Please help!!!!
    Thanks,

    This is what we have done :
    1.Created the JDBC data source & connection pool as below :
    data source name : B2BAQ , JNDI name : jdbc/B2BAQ
    Connection Pool :
    URL : taken from the tns entries of the instance
    Driver Class Name : oracle.jdbc.OracleDriver
    Tested this connection ..it works fine from the Admin Console
    2.Then go to Deployments --> AqAdapter -> Configuration tab --> Outbound Connection Pool Group -->
    Create a new connection pool instance -- General tab
    connection interface factory : javax.resource.cci.ConnectionFactory
    JNDI Name : eis/AQ/B2BAQ
    Then in Properties tab : Enter the Data Source Name : jdbc/B2BAQ
    Then we try to Start the AqAdapter from the Admin Console..it goes into Prepared status.
    The error message which comes is mentioned above.
    Is there any way we could resolve this ..that would be very helpful

  • Calling Custom XSLT java class from BPEL in SOA Suite 11g

    Hi All,
    Morning...need some help with this issue...we are currently on SOA Suite 11g (11.1.1.4) version.
    Earlier while we were on SOA Suite version 10g (10.1.3.3) we were calling the custom java classes from the xsl mapping for complex transformation and for this we were placing the .class file as .jar file at the location mentioned here $OC4J_HOME/j2ee/home/applib directory and then mentioning the namespace as http://www.oracle.com/XSL/Transform/java/{$classname$} in the XSLT mapping file.
    Now in SOA Suite 11g if we need to retain similar functionality for external custom java calls could someone please help us where do we need to put the .jar file now ..
    exactly at which directory location/path and on which instance/server (application server instance or middle tier instance ) we need to put this .jar file
    Currently we are stuck and need some help with this.
    With thanks & Regards

    Hi Eric & Anuj,
    Thanks for replying , sorry for checking on this now...
    here at this path /opt101/app/oracle/SOAD/SOA11gR1/fmw/Oracle_SOA1/soa/modules/oracle.soa.ext_11.1.1
    we got the ora.soa.ext.jar file and extracted it to get the MANIFEST.mf file ..have mentioned below.
    Now if we need to link our custom .jar file named customfunctions.jar so we need to mention it as below is this correct :

    Class-Path:customfunctions.jar classes/ -- is this the way to mention (means we need to add this additional line or we need to add to the existing line at Class-Path: classes/)
    2.
    Eric the Alternative method mentioned in your update :
    Open a command prompt and change the current directory to the oracle.soa.ext_11.1.1 directory ,
    then execute the build.xml file in the oracle.soa.ext_11.1.1 folder using Ant
    Now could someone please guide us regards this ANT means how does it work and its relation to the build.xml file and how do we check whether we have ANT utility available or not..
    not much conversant with this ANT hence asking here..would lookout for your reply
    thank you

  • Schema for Oracle SOA Suite 11g: Build Composite Applications self study cd

    I purchased the self study CD on subject Oracle SOA Suite 11g: Build Composite Applications. I like the class so far, but I am unsure if the class exercises come with the CD, which seems to contain mostly flash and web material for the course. Does anyone know if the SOADEMO schema comes as a default with the Oracle SOA Suite, or if not, how a person might get those exercise prerequisites/ oracle schema create scripts?

    You may want to check with Oracle University http://bit.ly/14ivVR.

    It looks like you try to insert a string-value in a number-column.
    can you check all your assign and their values before you invoke the db-adapter, then you should be able to narrow down the problem.

  • IEsbMessageInterceptor on Soa Suite 11g

    I was wondering is there IEsbMessageInterceptor on Soa Suite 11g or similar interface ?
    I would need to log composite payload without any modification to the composite. The ideal solution would be that by modifying some kind of Java class I could "turn on" payload logging for specific composite.
    Any ideas?
    Thank you for answering.
    Best Regards Tuomas

    Yes but the main point was that I could log the Composite payload without making any modifications to the composite. So that I could "turn payload logging on" dynamically whenever I wanted. What would be the best approach to accomplish this ?
    Thank you

  • How to configure something similar to optSoapShortcut in SOA Suite 11g

    Hi,
    We are migrating processes in BPEL 10g to composites in SOA Suite 11g (11.1.1.5). In one of these processes we are extracting the ws-addressing elements replyTo and MessageID from the SOAP header from the calling process and saving these values into a database. They are later used to be able to reply back to the calling process. In 10g this was no problem but in 11g calls between processes are automatically optimized, meaning that they are not communicating using SOAP. Hence, it seems like we can't get the soap headers the normal way.
    According to the Administration Guide for SOA Suite 11.1.1.5 the optSoapShortcut property has been removed which could be used in 10g to specify if the calls should be optimized or not. Is there any other way to configure this in SOA Suite 11g?
    If not, is there any way to instead extract these elements from some BPEL API or similar?
    Thanks!
    Best wishes
    Kerstin

    For release 11g, SOAP optimization is automatically configured. Therefore, if you upgrade your projects from 10g to 11g and are using the optimized shortcut approach in existing applications, note that optimized calls are activated only when the hostname value (as referred to in the WSDL URL in the composite.xml file) matches the Server URL value. Either set both values to the hostname (for example, myhost) or to the full domain name (for example, myhost.domain.com). If these values do not match, a regular SOAP call is performed instead of an optimized local call.
    You can still control this using oracle.webservices.local.optimization property.

  • PGP Encryption support in SOA Suite 11g

    Hi,
    Looking for PGP encryption support in SOA Suite 11g as we have a requirement to encrypt the file using PGP encryption and send over SFTP.
    I already went through some of the forums posts but they are date back to 2007, so just wanted to confirm if there is anything in recent releases of SOA Suite.
    - FTP adapter support or
    - OWSM suppport.
    As far as i know, we have to install some PGP tool and write a script to encrypt/decrypt and call the script from BPEL. this conclusion is based on a stmt given in the OWSM 10g book by sitaraman.
    Please provide your insights on this.
    Thanks
    Siva

    Hi Siva,
    I don't think still there is any support for PGP in Oracle SOA. You may use java for PGP encryption/decryption and transfer externally encoded messages over SFTP.
