  • AFW: Failed to transmit message due to RecoverableException

    Hi all,
    I use a XI 3.0 SP 14.
    I've created a BPM with 3 steps:
    1) receive step
    2) send synchronous step
    3) send asynchronous step
    XI exposes a  Asynchronous Message Interface as a Web Service. Than the BPM uses this information to send a synchronous call to a Web Service (this WS is created from an EJB and deployed on a SAP Web AS 6.40). Than the BPM uses the WS response to send an asynchronous mail.
    In the SXI_MONITOR everything works fine, but in the message monitor (Messages from the Adapter Framework) I get this error when I try to send an e-mail (step 3):
    2005-11-08 15:22:25 Success The message was successfully received by the messaging system. Profile: XI URL: http://sapadx01:51600/MessagingSystem/receive/AFW/XI
    2005-11-08 15:22:25 Success Using connection AFW. Trying to put the message into the receive queue.
    2005-11-08 15:22:25 Success Message successfully put into the queue.
    2005-11-08 15:22:25 Success The message was successfully retrieved from the receive queue.
    2005-11-08 15:22:25 Success The message status set to DLNG.
    2005-11-08 15:22:25 Error Delivery of the message to the application using connection AFW failed, due to: RecoverableException.
    2005-11-08 15:22:25 Success The asynchronous message was successfully scheduled to be delivered at Tue Nov 08 15:27:25 CET 2005.
    2005-11-08 15:22:25 Success The message status set to WAIT.
    2005-11-08 15:27:25 Success Retrying to deliver message to the application. Retry: 1
    In the default trace I can see:
    Failed to transmit message 436f38c9-0617-022e-0200-00000ab44471(INBOUND) due to com.sap.aii.af.ra.ms.api.RecoverableException: java.lang.NullPointerException.

         at com.sap.engine.core.thread.impl3.SingleThread.run(SingleThread.java(Compiled Code))
    I don't have this problem if instead of SOAP Synchronous call I do an RFC Synchronous call (on step 2)
    I also get a mail (step 3) if I have a System Error Exception in the SOAP synchrounous call (step 2)
    I have also noticed that:
    when I call the mail adapter (asynchronous step) with the Web Service Response in the HEADER I've got the ACK field:
    <SAP:Ack xmlns:SAP="http://sap.com/xi/XI/Message/30" xmlns:SOAP="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/" SOAP:mustUnderstand="1">
      <SAP:Status>OK</SAP:Status>
      <SAP:Category>permanent</SAP:Category>
    </SAP:Ack>
    Instead if I call the mail adapter (asynchronous step) with the BAPI Response in the HEADER I haven't got the ACK field.
    But in the BPM send Asynchronous step the "acknowledgement" parameter is set to NONE
    Could you please help me?
    Best Regards,
    Paolo

    Ops... the note will be released in the near future...
    Anyway my problem was that the response message from the SOAP Receiver Adapter included the XI Ack header for any successfull response message. Then, when I tried to send an asynchronous request message to the Mail Receiver Adapter it was not able to manage this ACK.
    Best Regards,
    Paolo

  • Java APM Agent initialization failed: SEAgent.config.xml does not have a valid event sender configured

    Today I tried to configure JAVA APM on a CentOS 6.4 server with tomcat6 installed through the normal RPM package. Adding this server to SCOM was no problem and it shows itself as a 'Deep Monitored Configuration'. The last part of enabling
    JAVA APM fails. I have followed the following process:
    1. Imported the JAVA APM MP's
    2. Extracted the JAVA APM Files
    3. Copied those files to my CentOS server
    4. Added the JAVA_OPTS to my tomcat configuration file
    5. Restarted Tomcat
    When I look for the log file which needs to be created through the installation of the APM agent it cannot be find. When I look into my Catalina.out file I see the following errors:

    Does anyone have seen this error before? Can someone help me with this one?
    Thnx,

    I'm running tomcat on a CentOS release 6.4 (Final) server. I installed Tomcat 6 through an RPM from the CentOS sources. I have installed Apache Tomcat/6.0.24 wit JVM version 1.7.0_09-icedtea-mockbuild_2013_01_16_18_52-b00, the JVM Vendor is Oracle Corporation.
    My tomcat configuration needs to be done in '/etc/tomcat6/tomcat6.conf'
    I installed the APM Agent in the path '/opt/apm/' with the rights  40755 (root/root). The files have the following rights:
    -rw-rw-r-- 1 root tomcat  32046 Mar  3 15:38 apm_facade.jar
    -rw-rw-r-- 1 root tomcat 244819 Mar  3 15:38 apm_monitor.jar
    -rw-rw-r-- 1 root tomcat  38110 Mar  3 15:38 apm_producers.jar
    -rw-rw-r-- 1 root tomcat 207006 Mar  3 15:38 asm-all-3.3.1.jar
    -rw-rw-r-- 1 root tomcat   4157 Mar  3 15:38 ASM_Third_Party_Notices.txt

    -rw-rw-r-- 1 root tomcat  36880 Mar  3 15:38 pmonitor.config.xml
    -rw-rw-r-- 1 root tomcat   2625 Mar  3 15:38 SEAgent.config.xml
    -rw-rw-r-- 1 root tomcat    830 Mar  5 15:19 Starter.properties
    The above rights are equal to the /etc/tomcat6 directory with the tomcat configuration files.
    In the tomcat6.conf I have added the following entries:
    #Microsoft SCOM APM
    JAVA_OPTS="${JAVA_OPTS} -Djava.library.path=/opt/apm"
    JAVA_OPTS="${JAVA_OPTS} -javaagent:/opt/apm/apm_facade.jar -Xbootclasspath/p:/opt/apm/apm_producers.jar -Xbootclasspath/p:/opt/apm/apm_facade.jar"
    When I look into the running tomcat process I see the following:
    tomcat   17401     1  0 Mar05 ?        00:00:39 /usr/lib/jvm/jre/bin/java -Djava.library.path=/opt/apm -javaagent:/opt/apm/apm_facade.jar -Xbootclasspath/p:/opt/apm/apm_producers.jar -Xbootclasspath/p:/opt/apm/apm_facade.jar

    My Starter.Properties looks like this:
    # Jars to load by inner classloader.

    ClassPath=apm_monitor.jar;asm-all-3.3.1.jar;apm_producers.jar

    Hi,
    I think you are not creating that ear correctly.
    Could you check the following points ?
    1. make sure all the files you need are there
    2. make sure folder hierararchy is ok
    If that's cool: And its still doesnt work:
    Export your example ear from weblogic and use that one

    To expand on that a little, so that you get better information next time:
    This line tells you what, ultimately, failed.
    java.lang.IndexOutOfBoundsExceptionYou then get the stack trace from most recent method called to least recent method called. The most recent method will contain the line of code that actually failed, but as here may be in an external library:
    at com.sun.imageio.plugins.jpeg.JPEGImageReader.gotoImage(JPEGImageReader.java:448)The last external package after your own code will be the method call that failed. Here you were calling the getImageMetadata() method of the com.sun.imageio.plugins.jpeg.JPEGImageReader class. Documentation on this class is available from the [Sun API documentation|http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.5.0/docs/api/javax/imageio/ImageReader.html] .
    at com.sun.imageio.plugins.jpeg.JPEGImageReader.getImageMetadata(JPEGImageReader.java:851)The next entry indicates which line of your own code failed. Here it was line 45 which is within a method called execute (mediocre name - it should describe what it's doing, execute is too abstract) of your own class called mergeImagesHCL (also a poor name - classes should always start with a capital letter):
    at mergeImagesHCL.execute(mergeImagesHCL.java:45)The rest of the stack trace tells you how you got there - here by calling mergeImagesHCL at line 84 of the main method of the same class:
    at mergeImagesHCL.main(mergeImagesHCL.java:84)Stack traces tell you exactly what line of code your error is on, what you were calling when it failed, and why it failed. Use them.

  • Clusterwide exception: Failed to start dependent interface ''caf/eu/gp/api'

    Hello !
    We are working with SAP Netweaver 2004s SP11 with a local repository. We are trying to deploy a web dynpro project

    We have already added the dependencies in the project, and the library references in the project properties.
    Has anyone already encountered this problem ? I thank you in advance.
    Best regards,
    Romain

    Hi Romain,
    What Piyush has replied in his second post above, i wish to another thing to it.
    His is right in saying that we need to check run time, deploy time, and build time as dependency types. But once you check them and click on finish, try again seeing the properties of that Used DC which you just added. You will see that only Deploy Time Dependency Type is "true", all the others are false. You need to edit that Used DC and then again check all three build time, deploy time, and run time. Now if you see the properties, you will see that these three are set to true. Don't know why this happens, but this does happen.
    See page 13 and 14 of the following doc:
    <a href="https://www.sdn.sap.comhttp://www.sdn.sap.comhttp://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/50d74ada-0c01-0010-07a8-8c118d408e59">Implementing a Web Dynpro Callable Object which Implements the GP Interface</a>
    See this entire doc, may be it helps.
    If your problem still doesn't get solved, gve me your email address, i will send you another doc for creating a callable object from a web dynpro application.

  • SQL Exception: Fail to convert between UTF8 and UCS2: failUTF8Conv

    Hi,
    I am trying to use the DBMS_OBFUSCATION_TOOLKIT to encrypt/decrypt some strings through JDBC, but I am getting the following exception:
    SQL Exception: Fail to convert between UTF8 and UCS2: failUTF8Conv
    The input and output parameters for the encryption/decryption functions are VarChar2.
    Our database is using UTF8.
    I will be glad if someone can help me on this.
    Thanks,
    Cenk

    Susi,
    This is just a wild guess, but your java client is on a different computer to your Oracle 9.2 server, and the locale (or encodings) on the two computers is different. Am I correct? If so, then I guess you need to change the locales (or encodings) so that they match.
    Have you tried printing out the "System" properties for the two JVMs (Oracle's and your client's)? Something simple like this:
    System.getProperties().list()Good Luck,
    Avi.

  • Java.io.IOException: Write failed

    Hi, I posted this question a while back in the JDBC forum because the exception occurs when I call DriverManager.getConnection(), but got no bites because my stack trace doesn't reflect any JDBC errors. This is such a strange problem. It occurs internal to the getConnection method. The connection object is still returned and my web-app works fine other than our log file being filled with the same exception. This problem only occurs on our SunONE server and not on Tomcat, which I test on. Any clues as to what it means and why it occurs. Thanks

    Hey SumiGhosh,
    I would suggest to do a clean reload of the BlackBerry® device software as shown here: http://btsc.webapps.blackberry.com/btsc/KB11320, please test before restoring any data to the device.
    If this resolves the issue do a selective restore of essential data (Address Book, Calendar, Task, Memos, BBM contacts etc.)

    Sorry for the almost exact duplication of a previous thread, but that was closed (Java 7 Web start fails to download Java 1.6 version

    Problem only seems to occur on Windows 7 (64 bit), seems fine on Windows XP.
    Bug has been raised with Oracle by poster Matt Taylor - http://bugs.sun.com/bugdatabase/view_bug.do?bug_id=7168311

    "install the jnlp from the dos window" - do you mean run "javaws applicationURL"?Yes. But actually that only worked because we had already installed a Java 6 version.
    When it does not work do you use Deployment Toolkit to embed link into web page?

  • Java Null Pointer Exception while Importing a Table to IS

    Hello All,
    I am trying to import a table into IS and receiving a JAVA Null Pointer Exception. The table is in a Teradata database and I am able to import other tables belonging to the same schema.I get the Java error only while trying to import this one particular table. The DBA has confirmed that the table belongs to the schema/owner I am using. In any case, it seems more of a application error than a database level error. Can anyone provide any insight? Thank you in advance.

    hi Keerthi,
    thank you.
    i tried with below code but still unsuccesfully
         +     oaDFF = (OADescriptiveFlexBean)oawebbean.findIndexedChildRecursive("ActFlexField");+
    oapagecontext.writeDiagnostics(this, "Niccal: i got DFF handle", 1);
    OAMessageTextInputBean mtib = (OAMessageTextInputBean)oaDFF.findChildRecursive("ActFlexField0");
    oapagecontext.writeDiagnostics(this, "Niccal: before if", 1);
    i am able to print 1° comment line but not second. so i think it's something wrong getting the segment handle.
    anyway i'm not able to reach your suggested if statement because execution stops before.
    Infact, if i comment line :OAMessageTextInputBean mtib = (OAMessageTextInputBean)oaDFF.findChildRecursive("ActFlexField0");
    page doesn't give error and saves data.
    any suggestion appreciated,
    thanx,
