Hi User1156932,
welcome to this forum. Did you install all required packages? See the detailed list at:

https://www.oratoolkit.ch/knowledge/howto/installation/eeSrv-11g-R2-on-RHEL-5.3-x86_64.php
Those shows pages contain a step by step guide to install Oracle silently.
Hope this help. If you find the reason please tell us it.

  • Error during generation of the WSDL:  BUILD FAILED java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: com/sun/javadoc/Type

When I create an EJB Transport Business Service, after selecting the jar that has the EJB 2.1 artefacts (Remote, Home, etc) the oepe plugin fails and can't continue.
As I understand it seems that there is a problem with the classpath of ant build.xml  that oepe creates inside folder /tmp/alsbejbtransport/ to compile the bs and generate the wsdl. I checked if tools.jar is in the classpath (in eclipse) and is included, so I can't figure out wich is the problem.
I found this in Oracle, but not helps solve the problem:

    Description
There was a problem retrieving the WSDL from the typed transport service endpoint at the time of service registration

  • Please HELP me with installation - java.lang.noclassdeffounderror:

Please Help! For school we need to install JAVA. I installed JDK 5.0 and id did not work. I got exception in thread "main" java.lang.noclassdeffounderror: hello. I was using Texpad to write, compile, and run it. In short I deleted all JAVA 5.0 using My Computer program removal. I installed JAVA 1.4..2_10 and I am still getting that same error. I want the JAVA 1.4..2_10 to be installed and not JAVA.5.0.
My System Variable CLASSPATH still shows C:\Program Files\Java\jre1.5.0_03\lib\ext\QTJava.zip. My System Variable PATH has nothing as far as JAVA in it. MY PATHEXT has JS and JSE amoung other things in it. My System Variable QTJAVA still has Files\Java\jre1.5.0_03\lib\ext\QTJava.zip in it.
Please tell me step-by-step how I can fix this. I never updated these variables before. What do I need to type and where? What do I need to get rid of or change?
    PLEASE HELP!
    Thanks,
    Jim

I left my System variable classpath --> C:\Program Files\Java\jre1.5.0_03\lib\ext\QTJava.zip I left my QT JAVA --> C:\Program Files\Java\jre1.5.0_03\lib\ext\QTJava.zip I added Path --> ;C:\j2sdk1.4.2_10\bin and then restarted my computer. I added hello file in C:\j2sdk1.4.2_10\bin and tried to compile it under a new name and it would not compile. it gave me the error below. I was able to compile other java program in my other folder in a different directory. I am still getting the same error messages/ Anything else I should try? IS there anyplace or person I can call who would come and fix this? Something is wrong. This should not be giving me this much trouble. All The Java directions on other websites tell me to do different things. I am so confused... please help.
I get this during the compilenow:
    javac: invalid flag: C:\j2sdk1.4.2_10\bin\helloa.txt
    Usage: javac <options> <source files>
    where possible options include:

If you can fix this I will give you 14 points. I hope it is enough. I just want this to work for school.

  • Installation Problem - java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError

I'm new to java and have read a lot of posts in this forum but don't see an a solution to my problem. I have win 98.
I have downloaded and installed J2SE (j2re -1_4_1_02)but when I compile my code, I get
    C:\>javac jabberwock.java
    Bad command or file name
    C:\>java jabberwock
Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: jabberwock
I have set the path to c:\j2se\bin - where I have installed.
PLease advise what am I doing wrong.
    Thankx - need desparate help.

First off... make absolutly sure your path has "C:\java\bin" in it.
to do this typepath=%path%;c:\java\binat the command prompt window. this is a temporary fix... you have win98, so you can put the above line in your "C:\AUTOEXEC.BAT" file just below the other "path=" settings if there are any... if not, the first line is fine.
Secondly, it sounds like you have a "classpath=" environment variable set that doesn't reflect your current ".class" file path. Easiest approach, un set it. at the command prompt type:
    set classpath=Note:
typing "set" alone will show a list of your environment strings.
typing "set envstr" will show the setting for whatever "envstr" you specify... eg: set classpathwill show you the "classpath" environment string.
do all this from one command prompt window, and use the same window to change to the directory containing your program... "jaberwock.java" now try to compile it. Good luck, Let me know how it goes...

Is it possible for you to paste the deployment command that was executed for the above failure? You could try doing a manual install. Before executing the FPInstallDP.xml during the manual install add the following jar to your classpath
    ${MW_HOME}/oracle_common/jlib/commons-cli-1.0.jar.

    Hello Joel,
    Yes, I did follow the guide in Stefan's Blog and used the correct three standalone SDA files;
actually I found out in CE 7.1.1, these three DC already exist after standard installation and
have not deployed them at all.
    Thank you for your input.

  • Java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: JWSDP

    Hello,
I am trying to set up JWSDP. I have Ant 1.6.1 installed and everything went fine during installation. I then went to install JWSDP 1.3 (jwsdp-1_3-unix.sh ) I changed the permissions on the .sh file to allow for execution and then I typed: sudo ./jwsdp-1_3-unix.sh
    It generates this error:
    Using /var/tmp as temporary directory...
Searching for Java(TM) 2 Platform, Standard Edition...
    Initializing InstallShield Wizard...
Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: JWSDP
I have java 1.4.2_04 installed and it works fine. PATH variable has
    /usr/java/j2sdk1.4.2_04/bin and
    /usr/local/ant/bin in it.
I have googled and googled to try and solve this dilemma and no answers. I have noticed several other people having the same problem, but no one posted a solution. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated. Thanks in advance!
    Kelly

I just experienced the same problem and have found the problem, at least mine. I hope this solution works for you as well.
If you download the jwsdp-1_3-unix.sh file to a windows machine before transfering to a non windows server (in my case, Solaris 9), you need to ensure you use binary mode. By default, my scp client transfers all *.sh files as text. This corrupts the file, thus causing the error. In my case, when transfering as text, the file size ended up being 28.858,191. The file size MUST be as stated in the install instructions, 28.858,664.
Once the file was transferred as binary, the install worked without any problems.

Thomas - thank you for your reply.  The paths I pasted below were incorrect and not the ones I used.  I forgot to change them when I pasted the note.  I just wanted to give the general idea of what I did to get to the java error.
Here is the note that I left in the message I opened with SAP - it is a more detailed description.  Also, I ran through all of the steps again yesterday afternoon to make sure I didn't miss something or use an incorrect path.  I appreciate all of your help.
    ~TJ
I believe the problem is the missing directory DIR_PUT/ua and it's associated files are missing. They don't seem to have ever been extracted.
Somone on the SDN helped me figure that out.
I'm not surprised they're missing as the installation CD doesn't work, and I wasn't given a really straight answer as to why or how to fix it in a previous message opened, but I though I'd found a work around.
    Here's what initially happend:
    LODRUN DEV(OPT01) DIR('UMN_OS400_PPC64/UPGRADE')
File not selected. File label or file name mismatch for file
    /UMN_OS400_PPC64/UPGRADE/QTEMP.
Specified file for library QTEMP not found.
If I look in the file structure, it appears that UPGRADE/QTEMP is
    located: /QOPT/D51031485_1/SAP_CRM_UM/UMN_OS400_PPC64/UPGRADE.
The Upgrade guide doesn't mention 'SAP_CRM_UM' at all.
The next logical step to me would be to try the command: LODRUN DEV(OPT01) DIR('SAP_CRM_UM/UMN_OS400_PPC64/UPGRADE')
    This generates message:
    LODRUN DEV(OPT01) DIR('SAP_CRM_UM/UMN_OS400_PPC64/UPGRADE')

    Current directory changed.

    /QOPT/D51031485_1/UMN_OS400_PPC64/UPGRADE/LODINST.

At this point, as I hadn't received any help yet, I found note 661569 which seemed similar to my problem, so I did the following steps from the
    note:

I thought this extracted everything, and went on to start PREPARE for the first time.
    addlible sapup
    go sapup
    prepare
I ran the prepare - it notified me of a missing PTF, which we installed, and then reran prepare cleanly.

  • Connecting with ODSM to OVD fails caused by: java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError

    Hi,
I have made a fresh new install of an Oracle Virtual Directory server running on Windows 2003 32-bit and an ODSM server (Weblogic) running on Windows 2003 64-bit using FMW Identity Management 11.1.1.2 for both OVD and ODSM (OVD of course being 32-bit and ODSM the 64-bit version).
When I try to connect with ODSM to my OVD server the first time without using SSL and connecting to port 8899 I get a pop-up telling me to look for a "Server Exception during PPR, #1" error in the log. The log shows me indeed a javax.servlet.ServletException: javax/wsdl/OperationType caused by Caused by: java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: javax/wsdl/OperationType Caused by: java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: javax.wsdl.OperationType.
When I try it a second time with the same settings it tells me to look for a "Server Exception during PPR, #2[[" in the log. The log now shows me a javax.servlet.ServletException: Could not initialize class com.octetstring.vde.admin.services.client.VDEAdminServiceSoapBindingStub Caused by: java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: Could not initialize class com.octetstring.vde.admin.services.client.VDEAdminServiceSoapBindingStub.
Connecting using SSL fails with the same error as the second attempt without it except the error is now #3.
Any idea what might be going wrong here? Could it be the firewall between ODSM and OVD? Is it using more than port 8899 to connect? Or is it the difference between 32/64 bit platform and the 64-bit JVM that is missing some classes? What is it?
    Thanks in advance,
    Bart.

    Hi,
    I got the environment working.
    Here is the environment details
    Windows 2003 32 bit
    WLS 10.1.3.3.
OFM 11g updated upto patch 11.1.1.3
Also during the IDM configuration, i have also added the OHS as part of the installation/configuration so that the HTTP_client.jar file is in the path.

Either a missing jar or the classpath is not defined right.

  • On starting WebLogic getting Error : Listening for transport dt_socket at address: 8453 Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: vXmx512m

    Hi,
system i am using for Oracle SOA is :
    Windows 64 Bit
    i5 Processor
    6 GB RAM
29 GB on C Drive is already free after installation of all SOA related products.
I have installed wlserver_10.3 for SOA 11g Development purpose and followed exact installation sequence and procedure as mention in oracle documentation
i created domain also and every thing look correct but after installation procedure there are "Additional actions required just after every thing installed" :
    setting memory limit
    starting weblogic server (Admin Server)
    starting weblogic managed server
    and so on
now Problem is when i execute C:\Oracle\Middleware\user_projects\domains\soa_div_domain\bin startWebLogic.cmd
as mention in oracle documentation i am getting following error message : (i have only included last error lines instead of complete console log)
    oConsole= -Dweblogic.ext.dirs=C:\Oracle\MIDDLE~1\patch_wls1036\profiles\default\
    sysext_manifest_classpath;C:\Oracle\MIDDLE~1\patch_oepe180\profiles\default\syse
    xt_manifest_classpath;C:\Oracle\MIDDLE~1\patch_ocp371\profiles\default\sysext_ma
    nifest_classpath;C:\Oracle\MIDDLE~1\patch_adfr1111\profiles\default\sysext_manif
    est_classpath  weblogic.Server
Listening for transport dt_socket at address: 8453
Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: vXmx512m
    Caused by: java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: vXmx512m

            at java.lang.ClassLoader.loadClass(ClassLoader.java:247)
Could not find the main class: ++Xmx512m.  Program will exit.
Now to resolve this what i already tried are :
I change JAVA_HOME and PATH to jdk6 which came with web logic installer
    Location is at :
    JAVA_HOME : C:\Oracle\Middleware\jdk160_29
    PATH : C:\Oracle\Middleware\jdk160_29\bin
The above dose not include any space between path
I ran the startWebLogic.cmd and got same error
    After that I also added
    CLASSPATH : C:\Oracle\Middleware\jdk160_29\lib\tool.jar;C:\Oracle\Middleware\wlserver_10.3\server\lib\weblogic.jar;C:\Oracle\Middleware\jdk160_29\bin
    WL_HOME:  C:\Oracle\Middleware\wlserver_10.3
I ran the startWebLogic.cmd and got same error
I also used earlier path which I used with eclipse when I was working on other java development.
    JAVA_HOME : C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.7.0_21
    PATH : C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.7.0_21\bin
I ran the startWebLogic.cmd and got same error
Then I also gave PATH: C:\Oracle\Middleware\wlserver_10.3\server\lib      (including the existing one using ; )
I ran the startWebLogic.cmd and got same error
Now may be there is a file called setSOADomainEnv.cmd in
    < C:\Oracle\Middleware\user_projects\domains\soa_div_domain\bin\ setSOADomainEnv.cmd>
That include some values for memory set :
    set JAVA_OPTIONS=%JAVA_OPTIONS%
    set DEFAULT_MEM_ARGS=-Xms512m –Xmx512m
    set PORT_MEM_ARGS=-Xms512m –Xmx768m
if "%JAVA_VENDOR%" == "Oracle" goto OracleJVM
    set DEFAULT_MEM_ARGS=%DEFAULT_MEM_ARGS% -XX:PermSize=128m -XX:MaxPermSize=768m
    set PORT_MEM_ARGS=%PORT_MEM_ARGS% -XX:PermSize=256m -XX:MaxPermSize=768m
now as I change the red highlighted value to 512 value because I have less memory resource and I checked in installation documentation to change the above red highlighted value to 512 original is 1024 which is too high and it was crating problem and showing memory space problem so I change it to 512 and now I am not getting that memory space problem error but may be the above error is related with change value in setSOADomainEnv.cmd file or not
Following are my domain, weblogic and soa home directory path and all these path are exactly what it suppose to be according to Oracle Installation Documentation:
    WebLogic :
    C:\Oracle\Middleware\wlserver_10.3
    C:\Oracle\Middleware\coherence_3.7
    C:\Oracle\Middleware\oepe_11.1.1.8.0
    SOA Oracle Home Directory :
    C:\Oracle\Middleware\Oracle_SOA1
    OSB Home Location :
    C:\Oracle\Middleware\Oracle_OSB1
    Domain name : soa_div_domain
    Domain Location :       C:\Oracle\Middleware\user_projects\domains
    Application Location :  C:\Oracle\Middleware\user_projects\applications
    Domain Location:        C:\Oracle\Middleware\user_projects\domains\soa_div_domain
form here i am trying to start weblogic : C:\Oracle\Middleware\user_projects\domains\soa_div_domain\bin\startWebLogic.cmd
Please tell me any body want more details.
    Thanks.

I think you are missing a character '-'
    USER_MEM_ARGS="Xms512m -Xmx512m -XX:MaxPermSize=128m"Add this character like follows
    "-Xms512m -Xmx512m -XX:MaxPermSize=128m"
