Java.lang.NullPointerException in 11.1.1.6.0

I am getting errors all over in 11.1.1.6.0 this is the second time I installed. I am creating new projects. Not migrating. Anyone getting these.

well it didn't go away. I get the error "exit dialog" now if I am building a database diagram I get

It doesn't tell me where and I cannot save..... jdev 11.1.1.6 seems to be pretty buggy. I did not have these issues in 11.1.1.5

I configured my Sender Mail Adapter correctly.
I have the correct POP URL, authentication. I'm not using PayloadSwapBean right now.
I can't get rid of the exception inside my Channel monitoring.
exception caught during processing mail message; java.lang.NullPointerException
does anyone know why?
I've been told the POP account has emails already.
I will try to create an outlook account for this POP e-mail account in the mean time to see the e-mails.

will it be under another folder? I don't see a trace log folder either.
I think the problem might be in the Module tab.

(995 is using SSL and it is the default port). When I use this, I see the Java Null Pointer Exception a lot less frequently. Weird.

Data Federator Connection to R3 - java.lang.NullPointerException

We are trying to add a SAP R3 DataSource in Data Federator XI 3.0 SP2.
Test Connection gives us the following message: "The connection was established but there is no table for the given connection parameters", what it seems to be ok according to the SAP doc.
However, when we try to get a list of the Functions or Infosets in the SAP system, an error comes because of a "java.lang.NullPointerException". Checking the application log we get the following:

Getting java.lang.NullpointerException while closing resultset aft using it

Hi,
I kindly request to share your ideas reg. my problem.
I am opening a database connection using connection pool and i am using two or more resultsets and statement objects.I am closing these objects at the end of their usage.But i am getting java.lang.NullpointerException when i close them(if i don't close them it works fine). what might be the reason. Had i did any thing wrong in the code.

And no, there's no way to pass a reference to the BallA variable, so the method would initialize it and it wouldn't be null anymore.
When you call the method with your BallA variable, the value of the variable is examined and it's passed to the method. So you can't pass the name of a variable where you'd want to store some object you created in the method.
But you don't need to either, so there's no harm done.

"AWT-EventQueue-0" java.lang.NullPointerException and JInternalFrame

I have two classes one with main method second with GUI methods (JFrame, JInternalFrame). When I call method to start second JInternalFrame from main everything is working but if i call it form any other method i get:

Some possibly helpful suggestions:
1) Create one JDesktopPane, and do it in the constructor of GUI. You should call this constructor only once.
2) Get rid of GUII. The GUI constructor will do all this and more.
3) Get rid of startFrame and startFrame2.
4) In GUI2, change your width and height to static variables if you are going to use them in outside classes. There is no reason to have to create a GUI2 object just to get those values. Get them from the class, not the instances.
5) You're doing something funky in your Top class with your mixing of static code and non-static code. My gut tells me that Top is just a static universe that exists to get your code up and running, and that the code within it should all be static, but that's just my personal opinion.
6) In MyInternalFrame, get the height and width from GUI2 (if that's what you want to do) again in a static fashion. Rather than new GUI2().width which makes no sense, use GUI2.width.
Why can't you put the button inside of the JInternalFrame object? I believe that the contentPane of this object which may hold your button (unless you embed a jpanel) uses BorderLayout, so you have to take care how you add jcomponents to the jinternalframe (or more precisely, it's contentPane).

It looks like your connection settings in your browser or your Java VM are going through a proxy, which likely requires authorization - if this is an internal page can you try it without using the proxy info?

Getting "java.lang.NullPointerException" error message when trying to run an OATS OpenScript file from Eclipse to Create a record in Oracle EBS

Hello,
I'm trying to run a simple OpenScript script in Eclipse that creates a record (a Supplier in this case) in Oracle E-Business Suite. So I copied the the script file from OpenScript and created it as a Class in Eclipse. Then I created a main class to call the methods within the script class but no matter what method I call (initialize, run or finalize) I'm getting the java.lang.NullPointerException message. The error doesn't seem to be related with any specific line in the script but with the way that I'm calling it.
Should I call the OpenScript class from my main class in a different way? (see my examples below)
BTW, all external .jar files coming with OATS have been added to my project in Eclipse.

Hi,
I think system working fine ....logically there should be entry for the infotype "0009"
But if you want to change that then you need change the "Time constraint" for this ...
You can set that in table "T591A"
go to se16 give 'T591A" then selection screen give "0009" and check the DATA.
I think for infotype "0009 subtype "0" ( main bank ) the time contain will be "1" ......
And its means there should be data in the PA30 for infotype "0009" .

Error in executing servlet JSPRunner: java.lang.NullPointerException

I have some problems with my jsp files.
I am using iAS6sp4 and iWS 6 on W2K.
I created a EJB jar file and an empty WAR file (No JSP, Servlet, just web.xml & ias-web.xml) and pack them into a ear file for deployment. It was successful.
Then I copy some jsp files to <iasinstall>/ias6/ias/APPS/<app name>/<war name>
and restart the ias and iws server.
When I try the URL: "http://myserver/NASApp/<app name>/myjsp.jsp", I got this error message from kjs.
JSPRunner: init
Exception: SERVLET-execution_failed: Error in executing servlet JSPRunner: java.lang.NullPointerException
My jsp didn't include any java code, just pure htm code. I want to give it a test. But even though I tried with a proper jsp i still got this message. pls advise.

I got this working. Here are the steps that I followed and the output...
Steps
1. Deployed the helloworld application
2. Invoked the application to see if it works fine
3. Copied the myjsp.jsp to the C:\iPlanet\ias6\ias\APPS\helloworld\helloworld directory
4. Shutdown the iAS and iWS and started again
5. Invoked the .jsp file by typing http://sundts2.india.sun.com:81/NASApp/helloworld/myjsp.jsp in the browser.

I believe the problem in your case must be that the .jsp file has been placed in a directory where iAS is not able to recognise. I'm sure this will help. Please feel free to raise questions on this.

I am trying to schedule my simple sql query based report ( no bursting) to email(email server is already configured). When I schedule through GUI and click on submit button , I get following error message

ya that "callsapadapter" was the culprit. It comes by itself, Once I removed that PGP was working fine.

Java.lang.NullPointerException ADF_FACES-60097 message ***WITH SOLUTION***

Hi Everyone:
We are on JDeveloper 11.1.2 & JHeadstart 11.1.2. When testing an application that had previously been written in 10g and migrated to 11g, then migrated again to 11.1.2 because our database has logical composite keys, we have found that if we manually inputted an invalid value into the inputtext box of a primary key that has an LOV on it, the following message came up.
"java.lang.NullPointerException
ADF_FACES-60097:For more information, please see the server's error log for an entry beginning with: ADF_FACES-60096:Server Exception during PPR, #"
with a random number displayed. We wondered where the java.lang.NullPointerException was coming from and then on a whim, tried to see if it couldn't find the error messages that were previously found in ApplicationResources_en.properties file in 10g. So I manually copied all of the error messages found in the ApplicationResources_en.properties file in 10g, into the end of the ApplicationResources_en.properties file on 11.1.2. There were only about 100+ messages in the 11g version of the ApplicationResources_en.properties file when there were almost 3,000+ messages in the 10g version of the ApplicationResources_en.properties. I then re-ran the job, and the proper error message comes out with no java.lang.NullPointerException message when I input an invalid value into the primary key (+Artransactioncode with this TransCode does not exist).+
Is this a known issue when converting from 10g to 11g?

Hi Everyone:
           I have done some further testing. We are using a re-usable Business Components .jar file to access our entities. We import the .jar file into the project and create the ViewObjects and ViewLinks from that .jar file.
            It APPEARS that a test case using the HRSchema and using the Entities & Associates generates the constraint error messages, but when I use the .jar file of re-usable business components imported into the project, those constraint error messages are not created in the ApplicationResources_en.properties file. I have created two testcases as well as the re-usable .jar file that I can send to you to show what I mean.
            This behaviour seems to have shown up in 11.1.2 as there was no problem before this.
             Please let me know where you'd like me to upload the testcases.
