Java/LINUX horrible ERROR
I am having a horrible error of which I have no idea..
I am in the beginning stages and its only yesterday that I started working with java in LINUX. I was trying to send and receve some data from the serial port. I am using a Sun ONE Studio.
I used the RXTX and installed the same by reading instructions.
I dint get this error in the beginning but after running a couple of times I started getting this error.
First the error was "NoSuch Port Exception" It gave way to
"RXTX WARNING: This library required the user running applications to be in group uucp. Please consult the INSTALL documentation.
check_lock_status: No permission to create lock file."
Any help will be highly appreciated. I depend on you guys to help me with this as I suppose that you are the best guys in JAVA
Thanks
JOhn
1) You should never directly edit /etc/group (or /etc/passwd). If you're on RedHat, you can use the redhat-config users program (nice GUI). Or you use the vigr program that will cleanly edit both the /etc/groups and the "shadow" copy. In both files, you need to add the user to the uucp group.
2) You should never set system resources, especially anything in /dev, to 777. In the event of a malicious user (or cracker), you've just opened a very large hole in your system.
3) Do what Bruno_Antunes said. Basically, repeat #1 above for the group "lock."
4) Do not run anything as root unless you absolutely must, especially programs that access system resources. If you must, I strongly suggest you start reading up on PAM.

Java.rmi.UnmarshalException: Error unmarshaling return header
Hi,
We are running an RMI server instance to serve data ( from memory) to clients. It works fine if fewer number of inquiries goes in. But when the number of inquiries are larger, I am getting some exceptions at the client side. The server crashes without throwing any exceptions. Following are the exceptions received at client side:
java.rmi.UnmarshalException: Error unmarshaling return header; nested exception is:

... 6 more
The period of time, the server keeps on running (before it crashes) is also not the same. Sometimes it works fine without any problem. But most of the time the server crashes after processing some records.
I don't know why this is happening.
Please help...
Thanks in advance..I have this error too when I running my rmi server site program.
I am running it in Linux Environment.
Anyone got any idea about this? -
RemoteException: java.rmi.ConnectIOException: error during JRMP connection
We have a Java application implementing a RMI server.
The server uses with the jacob api in order to generate Word files in a windows system.
My clients work in linux.
The RMI method is synchronized in order not to have problems executing Word from multiple threads.
The application and the RMI server work all right for some time, but after some hours (sometimes days) the client throws the following error:
RemoteException: java.rmi.ConnectIOException: error during JRMP connection establishment; nested exception is:
java.net.SocketException: Connection resetHi Varun,
This is definitely required even if you are on WAS6.40.
After copying this , you have to also follow the register dll using this command
rgsvr32 "c:\Winnt\system32\librfc32.dll"
check the OS your using wether it is windowsXP/2003 or 2000.
there are seperate commands for them to register the dll.
This is available in the installation guide.
we also had the same problem and then we did this and it worked for us.
f you have done this, then there are other possibilities also
1. Install SOAP toolkit on the CRM server as this is required to establish the connectivity
2. See whether the MAPBOX services are deployed on the SAP J2EE engine
3. Create RFC through SM59 only for mapbox and register them.
4. See if there are any old versions of Java on your machine then uninstall them and install the required java components.
Let us know if it resolved the problem
Thanks

Business Component Tester-java.lang.NoSuchMethod error
I'm running Oracle 8i(R2) on Linux. The OAS is on the NT 4.5 SP5. I succesfully deployed a simple BC4J to OAS, but testing it from JD3.1 the BC Tester return following error:
"java.lang.System: method

Testing it locally works just fine.
Could anybody help me with this?
nullI had similar problems with my install of Weblogic 6.1 sp4. I am installing PS
HRMS 8.8 sp1
and PeopleTools 8.44 Patch 2 (Patch 2 is required for install) Peoplesoft sent
me Weblogic 8.1
with my new Tools 8.44. This version and installation is light years ahead of
Weblogic 6.1. If
you are able to load the new version of Weblogic and Tuxedo, it is worth it.
If not, you may want to check to see if your JAR file was installed correctly.
(The new version
of WL doesn't make you unzip your JAR files for the install.)
In the command line for unzipping the JAR file, make sure you type the phrase
EXACTLY as
shown IT IS CASE SENSITIVE. I messed with this for two hours until I saw that
I wasn't putting
a capital letter in one of the words where I should have been.
Hope this helps.

Hi
I have installed the BEA weblogic server 6.1 service pack 4 as part of

After starting the weblogic server, When I type the

Question
whenever i open gmail it appears which says-"java script application,Error: Illegal operation on WrappedNative prototype ",how this will resolve, anyhow ?This is usually caused by an extension that is using a name for a variable or function that has become a reserved variable name and thus can't be used anymore.<br />
You will have to check if there is an update is available for your Firefox 29.0a2 Aurora version.
If it works in Safe Mode and in normal mode with all extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) disabled then try to find which extension is causing it by enabling one extension at a time until the problem reappears.
Close and restart Firefox after each change via "Firefox > Exit" (Windows: Firefox/File > Exit; Mac: Firefox > Quit Firefox; Linux: Firefox/File > Quit)

Report Script returns no data and "java.io.FileNotFoundException" error
When attempting to write to a new file (Eg: C:\TEST.txt), Report Script returns no data and "java.io.FileNotFoundException" error occurs.
This error occurs only in Essbase 9.3.1.3 release, however it works fine in release 9.3.1.0.
After running the report the script, it pops up the follwing message:
"java.io.FileNotFoundException: ..\temp\eas17109.tmp (The system cannot find the file specified): C:\TEST.txt"
When checked the TEST.txt, it was empty.Sorry folks, I just found out the reason. Its because there was no data in the combination what I was extracting.
but is this the right error message for that? It should have atleast create a blank file right? -
Java.sql.SQLException: Error while trying to retrieve text for error ORA-24
Hi All,
Am having serious problem with ORA-24327 and the behavior is very very unpredictable. I have couple of environment where the same error comes in different context. The recent one was surprising. I have describe bellow the environment configuration and the stack trace. The error which surprised me was when I use type 3 driver while starting weblogic I get ORA 24327 but when I use Type 4 it starts properly. If you could kindly provide solution it would be great help. I would also appreciate if u can provide information which driver to use where performance is the major concern. I would also appreciate if u could provide feed-back from the industry about booth the driver. Apart from that I have couple have environment where it occurs when 10/12 user access simultaneously. All the open connection is closed in program properly still am getting the error.
Thanks in anticipation.
Cheers,
Tapas

:62)Hi,
I guess you can try some of these:
- Make sure you're not missing an entry inside your tnsnames.ora file. Thin driver does not require the information inside that file, as opposed to Weblogic's OCI driver. If you are able to connect to the DB using a thin driver, then the problem is most probably (WL)driver-related.
- Make sure you've properly configured the DB user / password inside your weblogic.properties (config.xml if WL6+).
- Make sure you're able to access all drivers and classes required (PATH, CLASSPATH, etc...)
- Make sure the OCI driver version you are using is fully compatible with the Oracle (server) version you are pointing to.
- Try to access the DB user through some other client (for instance, SQLPlus*).
Hope this is of some help,
Freddy. -
If I go to YouTube, no matter what video I click on to watch, the error message "[Java Script Application] Error: Div is null" pops up. It started happening right after I updated to FF v6. I also have installed the latest version of Java. I submitted this question a few weeks ago, but never received a reply.
Thanks for any help you can provide to fix this.

[email protected]hello, can you try to replicate this behaviour when you launch firefox in safe mode once? if not, maybe an addon is interfering here...

I'm deploying an EJB Module with a CMP in SJAS from SJSE.
I get the following exception "java.sql.SQLException: Error in allocating a connection. Cause: No PasswordCredential found" the first time a CMP tries to connect to the MS SQL Server database.
I can connect through the Admin console (PING works fine) but this error hapens in runtime.
The datasource classname i'm using is "com.sun.sql.jdbcx.sqlserver.SQLServerDataSource" which is suggested by the SJSE.
Any help will be welcome...
Nelson MarquesIf you are using Netbeans, then this link might help:

Otherwise, have you try this ?
Verify your sun-ejb-jar.xml does not use default-resource-princinpal element:

<jndi-name>jdbc/pdisasdb</jndi-name>
