Java   "main cass notfound error"

after setting java path & writing code i am able to compile & run my code
(javac [filename].java
java filename)
"only in the bin folder .......without errors,,
if compiled anywhere else its compiling fine but i am getting error ......
on running at (java [filename])as
Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError:[filename]
could not find the main class :[file name].program will exist.

When you type
java filenamethe JVM looks for a class (class, not file) named "filename" in current class path ($CLASSPATH env var). Your "bin" directory is probably there, but when you compile somewhere else, in a directory not present in $CLASSPATH env var, JVM can't find it and tells you so.

    compilation and run....to compile i using javac
    <filename>.java..and to run ... which one true..using
    java <filename>.java or java<filename>?For the javac command, FILEname.java is used. For java command CLASSname is used. Do not use .class or .java. Do use the fully qualified CLASS name. Fully qualified means package name plus the Class name. If you do not specify a package name, then the fully qualified name is just the Class name. Also, all names are case sensitive. MyClass is not equal to myclass.
    Lets say you compile HelloWorld.java so you have a HelloWorld.class file in the directory, C:\myjava. Then, use the commandjava -classpath c:\myjava HelloWorld
    ang how to settle the error exception in thread 'main'
    java.lang.Nosuch method error..You should ALWAYS post the full, exact error message. It is difficult to answer this question without knowing the full error. Which method did Java complain about? Often, this occurs when you try to launch a class as an application but the class does not have a method whose signature is "public static void main(String[] args) "
    You might want to try the tutorial here: http://java.sun.com/docs/books/tutorial/getStarted/cupojava/index.html

  • How can i execute Spaces API in java main class?

    Hi
    I am able to execute Spaces API through portal application. However if i try to execute it in java main class, its throwing an exception
    "SEVERE: java.io.FileNotFoundException: .\config\jps-config.xml (The system cannot find the path specified)"
    oracle.wsm.common.sdk.WSMException: WSM-00145 : Keystore location or path can not be null or empty; it must be configured through JPS configuration or policy configuration override.
    How can i set this path, so that i can execute Spaces API from java main class.
    Need this main class to configure in cron job, to schedule a task.
    Regards
    Raj

    Hi Daniel
    Currently i have implemented create functionality in my portal application using Spaces API, which is working fine. Now the requirement is, i need to implement a "Cron Job" to schedule a task, which will execute to create space(for example once in a week). Cron job will execute only the main method. So I have created java main class, in which I have used Spaces API to perform create space operation. Then it was giving exception.
    Later I understood the reason, as I am executing the Space API with a simple JSE client, its failing since a simple java program has no idea of default-keystore.jks, jps-config.xml, Security Policy. Hence i have included those details in main class. Now I am getting new error,
    SEVERE: WSM-06303 The method "registerListener" was not called with required permission "oracle.wsm.policyaccess"
    For your reference i have attached the code below, please help. How can i use Spaces API in java main method(i mean public static void main(String[] args) by giving all required information.

    I had a table in oracledatabase ,i have successfully created a table and inserted clob column with an attachment like xxx.txt.

    s.close();
    rs.close();

    That usually means something is wrong with the syntax of your sql.
    As a guess 'text' is probably a keyword and shouldn't be used as a field name. It is possible that the same is true for 'id'

  • Java.rmi.RemoteException: Protocol error reported by the card! why?

    Hello,
    I am currently trying to run the JCK 2.2.1 SecureRMIDemo using SmartCardIO instead of OCF, but getting an error:
    java.rmi.RemoteException: Protocol error reported by the card
    (in my last post I succesfully ran the RMIDemo using my SmartCardIO implementation, see http://forums.sun.com/thread.jspa?threadID=5405634&tstart=15)
    So here is what I did:
    - I succesfully loaded the server app (com.sun.javacard.samples.SecureRMIDemo) on the card without changes.
    - I created an new accessor class: public class PINCardAccessor extends SmartCardIOAccessor (I wrote SmartCardIOAccessor for the RMIDemo, it should work fine as an accessor)
    - The contents of PINCardAccessor class and SecureOCFCardAccessor are the same, just the class declration makes the difference
    - Here is the most important part of my main method:
                   ca = new PINCardAccessor(false);
                   JavaCardRMIConnect  jcRMI = new JavaCardRMIConnect(ca);
                   jcRMI.selectApplet(appAID);
                   // send PIN
                   System.out.println("Sending PIN...");
                if (! ((PINCardAccessor) ca).authenticateUser( PRINCIPAL_APP_PROVIDER_ID ))
                     System.out.println("Wrong PIN!");
                     System.exit(0);
                   Purse myServ = (Purse) jcRMI.getInitialReference();
                   if(myServ == null)
                      throw new Exception("Received null instead of the initial ref");
                   // print balance
                   System.out.println("Balance: "+myServ.getBalance());And finally here is the debug output:

    thank you
    sebastaian

    Oh, thanks for pointing at the JCRE Spec, it is very informative, but i still have not found the problem yet.
    If i understand everything right, the communication's flow is
    SecureClient <-> PINCardAccessor <-> SmartCardIOAccessor <-> MySecurityService <-> SecurePurseImpl (with help of SecurePurseApplet)
    probably i made a mistake in a protocol of one or more layers.
    - MySecurityService, SecurePurseImpl and SecurePurseApplet are EXACTLY the one's from com.sun.javacard.samples.SecureRMIDemo of JCDK 2.2.1, so there cant be any mistake (?).
    - SmartCardIOAccessor worked fine in my RMIDemo tests, see http://forums.sun.com/thread.jspa?threadID=5405634&tstart=15 - there is also the implementation)
    - SecureClient must be obviously correctly
    so maybe it's something about PINCardAccessor? hmm...i havent found anything, but here is the complete code:

    Hi,
    I am facing the exact same issue when getting a big jar of more than 7 megs. It seems to occur in some special network configuration that I am not yet able to figure out. It is obviously linked to the fact that the jar is unpacked on the client side.
    Anybody ran into this one and understood the root cause?Please, don't resurrect old threads, and don't use signatures with addresses. I'm locking this thread.

    Old, but still coming up in google searches. Here's the solution that worked for me:
    Dynamic Port Allocation explained:
    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/823938
    How to: Configure a Server to Listen on a Specific TCP Port (SQL Server Configuration Manager)
    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/823938
    In case that dissappears:
    To assign a TCP/IP port number to the SQL Server Database Engine
    1. In SQL Server Configuration Manager, in the console pane, expand SQL Server 2005 Network Configuration, expand Protocols for <instance name>, and then double-click TCP/IP.
    2. In the TCP/IP Properties dialog box, on the IP Addresses tab, several IP addresses appear, in the format IP1, IP2, up to IPAll. One of these are for the IP address of the loopback adapter, 127.0.0.1. Additional IP addresses appear for each IP Address on the computer. Right-click each address, and then click Properties to identify the IP address that you wish to configure.
    3. If the TCP Dynamic Ports dialog box contains 0, indicating the Database Engine is listening on dynamic ports, delete the 0.
    4. In the IPn Properties area box, in the TCP Port box, type the port number you wish this IP address to listen on, and then click OK.
    5. In the console pane, click SQL Server 2005 Services.
    6. In the details pane, right-click SQL Server (<instance name>) and then click restart, to stop and restart SQL Server.

  • Java.sql.SQLException: Internal Error with oracle.sql.ARRAY getArray()

    hi,
    I am having having problems with the getArray() of oracle.sql.ARRAY.
    Here are the details:
    Oracle Database - 9.2.0.6. The JDBC driver used -10.2.0.1 jar.(the latest available).
    I am calling a stored procedure from java, that has out param as a collection (VARRAY) of a user defined type.
    The stored procedure works fine, if the user/schema used to connect,contains actual type, and i am able to extract the user defined object from the oracle.sql.ARRAY, via getArray().
    But if i use a different user to connect which has public synonyms and execute rights to the actual type, i get the following error:
    java.sql.SQLException: Internal Error

    The problem is happening because we have 2 different users to connect to the database. one is the dba user, which contains all the types, packages and other one the application user, which we are supposed to use, to connect via java. This application user does have access to types via public synonym, but it gives the above mentioned error.
    Please help :(.
    Regards,
    Gaurav.

    Hi avi,
    Even I am getting the same error inspite of preceding the type name with the same user who has created the type.
    It has displayed the array length.When I am trying to fetch each array, I am getting the error.
    ARRAY simpleArray = (ARRAY) cs.getObject(3);
    System.out.println("Array is of length " + simpleArray.length());          ********************** The above stmt prints 2 records ******************
    But it goes to exception in the foll stmt..
    Object [] objArrStructArray = null;
    try{
         objArrStructArray = (Object[]) simpleArray.getArray();
    }catch(SQLException e){
         e.printStackTrace();
    Do u know abt this?
    The foll is the error which I am getting.

  • Load java main from java class

    Is it possible to load a java main of some class
    from other java class?
    example:
    public static void loadClass(final String name, final String param) {
    try {
    Class c = Class.forName(name);
    Class[] cParams = new Class[1];
    cParams[0] = String.class;
    Method m = c.getMethod("main", cParams);
    Object whatisthisobject = null;
    String args[] = { "" };
    Object o = m.invoke(whatisthisobject, args);
    catch (Throwable t) {
    System.out.println("error: " + t);
    public static void main(String[] args) {
    loadClass("Test", "abc");

    Anything you can do with an ordinary static method can be done with main.

  • CJS-30059 Java EE Engine configuration error FCO-00011 The step configCAF

    Hallo
    trying to install SAP EHP1 for NW 7.0 Developer Workplace for AS Java (no Abap) I get the error:
    CJS-30059 Java EE Engine configuration error.
    FCO-00011 The step configCAF with step key |NW_Workplace|ind|ind|ind|ind|0|0|NW_Onehost|ind|ind|ind|ind|0|0|
    SAP_Software_Features_Configuration|ind|ind|ind|ind|6|0|NW_Usage_Types_Configuration_AS|ind|ind|ind|ind|0|0|NW_CONFIG_CAF|ind|ind|ind|ind|1|0|
    configCAF was executed with status ERROR ( Last error reported by the step :Java EE Engine configuration error.
    DIAGNOSIS: See output of logfile java.log: 'IO EXCEPTION: Connection reset:: '.).
    which is very similar to an error here from October 2008 so I ask if anyone can help?
    For me under windows xp on the pc installing the two sap dvd's "SAP EHP1 FOR SAP NETWEAVER 7.0 Developer Workplace"
    and "Kernel 7.01" this happens in step 33 of 37 steps.
    In sapinst_dev.log just beforehand I see
    "NWCallJava: Arguments passed: ROLE=CAFAdmin, ACTIONS=com.sap.caf.rt.caf.auth".
    With kind regards

    Hi Marco
    well yes it was very strange ... but it is now installed.
    I think I'd better put a question into the main NW forum.
    Happily I have someone here who is a genius and found out what was happening ...
    1) the port 50000 wasnt useable, wasnt even in the log, but 50001 for https worked, so https:/localhost:50001 worked but http didnt;
    2) a parameter "handlePromotionFailure" was used but not understood so the VM couldnt start
    3) on top of that, being a huge concern, we have host names longer than the sap limit of 13 characters.
    I have tried to assign you 6 points I hope it worked.
    With kind regards
    David

  • IOException java.util.zip.ZipException: error in opening zip file

    Hi Folks,
    In my application one Zip file will be placed in the server. to unzip that zip file i have used java.util.Zip.
    It is working fine.but some times it gets the following error.
    **IOException java.util.zip.ZipException: error in opening zip file**
    why is it so? but very rarely. I couldnt identify the exact scenario, where it causes the problem.
    Normally that zip file contains set of images of customer.
    Please share your inputs.
    Thanks,
    Balu.

    Thanks for ur reply.
    EJB is not used in my application.
    VC++ application at customer side prepares the zip file, and it will upload that zip to te server using ftp.
    After uploading done, at the server end one java program(contains main function) will access that folder to unzip.
    Thanks,
    Balu.

    These exceptions occur when opening JAR files (since they are renamed ZIPs). Most likely the file cannot be ffound because you have classpaths setup incorrectly
