  • Error Code 16 on Mac with Newly-Installed Yosemite (a Java problem?)

    Like many out there I am unable to use CS6 applications at all after an OS update to Yosemite (in my case from 10.8.5, on my 2012 iMac).  I get an Error 16 message, and a Java problem error message.
    I've read many posts about fixing this issue, including the Adobe gospel very specific to this problem—about changing the permissions in a couple of folders—, which I found here: https://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/policy-pricing/configuration-error-cs5.html   I did exactly as directed and saw no change in the problem.
    I also read that the Java version necessary for CS6 products to run on Yosemite is a boondoggle in itself.  Java 6 is apparently necessary for CS6 products to run, but that version is insecure, and besides, it's old.   Java 8 Build 31 is the current and safe version but it apparently is incompatible with none but the most recently-updated Adobe products.  Several posts on Adobe's support pages suggest a hacky fix for this Java issue, which involves downloading and installing the latest Java version from Oracle, and then creating specifically-named empty folders on one's hard drive within a couple of obscure System/Library/Java folders:
    http://oliverdowling.com.au/2014/03/28/java-se-8-on-mac-os-x/
    https://forums.adobe.com/message/7193884
    I did this too, and again saw no change in the problem.
    Re-installing my CS6 suite has not worked, either.  I receive the same error code message when starting up any of the applications.  At this point I've been forced to go back to my previous operating system, since I am heavily reliant on CS6 to do my work each day.
    I understand that many people are having this trouble after updating to Yosemite, and more than a few posts on these forums indicate this is true even for people like me who've followed Adobe's purported fix that I linked above.  Has anyone in userland or at Adobe found anything lately that could help here?

    uninstall cs6 and clean (Use the CC Cleaner Tool to solve installation problems | CC, CS3-CS6).
    update your os, Java for OS X 2014-001
    then install cs6.

    The reason (as others have pointed out) is, that some paths through your method don't return a value.
    I'll re-write your code in the code-style that I usually use, because then it might be easier for you to see the problem:
    public boolean find(MusbachJ_Person person,BstNode node)
         if(node.intData.compareTo(person)==0) {
              return true;
         if( node.leftNode != null ) {
              find(person,node.leftNode );
         if( node.rightNode != null ) {
              find( person, node.rightNode);
         else {
              return false;
    }There are two prolbems. I'll spell out the first and let the other one for you to find:
    1.) you don't do anything with the return-values of the find-methods you are calling. What do you want to do with them?
    2.) What do you return if the current node is not the one that you want and you've got a right node?

    Getting the error " [java] Problem invoking WLST - java.lang.RuntimeException: Could not find the OffLine WLST class " while building the O2A 2.1.0 PIP. I am using the Design Studio 4.3.2 for building the O2A 2.1.0 PIP. Please let me know how to resolve this issue. Here I am enclosing the log file .

    We have basically the same issue when we try to create the interpreter using the embedded method..
    I was able to use the interpreter embedded in a java client as long as the weblogic jars were located in a weblogic install if I tried to use them from a maven repository no luck at all...
    All of this worked easily in 9.2 now in 10.3 it seems more error prone and less documented.
    I have seen close to a 100 posts on issues related to this so is there a document which outlines specifics....
    We / I have used weblogic now for almost 10 years and moving from 8.1 to 9.2 was painful and we expected the move from 9.2 to 10.3 not to be soo bad but its proving to be as painful if not more painful than moving to 9.2. We seem to spend a good bit of our time working around issues in the next new release that were not in the previous one..
    Any help would be appreciated I think we will open a support case but even that is more painful...
    Any help would be greatly appreciated..
    PS: We confirmed that all jars in the startweblogic classpath were in the startup. The server we have the embedded wlst instance is a managed server and we are using the component in a war... Are there any restrictions which we are unaware of.
    Error we get is

  • Java Security Error while Launching the Application through JNLP

    Hi!,
    I have a problem in launching my Application through JNLP. It is giving the Error dialog as "Unable to lauch application" with the dialog title as "Java Security Error".
    I don't know why this problem is coming but when I have reset my profile on my system & then I tried to launch the same application & I got success.
    Can anyone suggest me what was the problem?
    Pradeep Gupta

    hi,
    usually it is the web dynpro launch system that is causing the issue, OR there is a misconfiguration in the backend like the tasks are set up with com.sap/esslea in the backend and the xml file is referencing sap.com <SWITCH>/esslea and the dynpro is showing this as not deployed.

    Please any help.
    Thanks

    Hi Hussein,
    I created another user test1 of group dba and ran java -Xmx2048M -version. It worked with out error.
    Then i found the only difference between test1 and applprod is ulimit -s set to unlimited in applprod but not set in test1
    I removed ulimit -s unlimited for applprod the executed
    java -Xmx2048M -version
    it worked fine.
    But i guess ulimit -s unlimited is a pre-requisite for running R12 in solaris??
    What shoud i do
    Please suggest.
    What does "echo $ADJRIOPTS" return after sourcing the env file?bash-3.00$ echo $ADJRIOPTS

    Even though this exception is displayed on the console, the Timer Bean continues to execute upto sometime before it finally crashes!
    If anyone has encountered such problem; would appreciate if you could share the solution.

    Hi guys, I have the same problem. I have an application EAR file with two modules (EJB and WAR starting in this order). The application can schedule a process via EJB timer. In this case restarting the server I receive the error above. If I change the modules start order --> WAR - EJB the server start correctly, but the application scheduler fails (the persistency is not working) with this error:

  • Updated to Firefox 35.0 recently and I keep getting a Java Application error message everytime I pull up a new page

    This is more of a heads-up rather than a ques
    tion.
    I recently update Firefox to version 35. My computer operating system is Windows 7 Starter. Since adding the update every page I pull up I get a Java script error message "Error: 'console' getter called on an object that does not implement window interface."
    I followed the steps for trouble shooting extensions and managed to isolate the problem. It was an add-on extension for Youtube Auto HD 1.4. The message no longer pops up.
    I hope others out there find this helpful.

    Sorry didn't noticed it was solved.

    All,
    I've got the same problem as this thread -- Re: CR XI R2: Salesforce 3.0 driver on Windows 7 64-bit?
    Crystal XI R2, Salesforce 3.0 downloaded from the Crystal page.  Using Windows 7 64-bit.  Have applied SP 5 per another thread.
    Continue to get JAVA error.  Java being used is 1.4 as installed by Crystal in the Crystal program directory.
    thanks, jhb

    Don,
    Still no go.  I get the same error.
    I uninstalled SP6, SP5, Salesforce Connector, and Crystal XI R2 SP2 and then re-installed everything.
    1) Crystal XI R2 SP2
    2) Salesforce connector 3.0
    3) SP5
    4) SP6
    Still get the same Java Connection error.  I've also disabled Windows Firewall.  I'm not behind a proxy.  I've tried with and without the security token.
    thanks, jhb

    My OS is Windows XP Professional with SP3. However, I managed to install this version on a virtual machine (which also runs Windows XP SP3) therefore the problem does not come from the installer.
    What can I do now to install Maple 12? I really need this software...
    Thanks!

    Did you find the solution for this problem? I am experiencing the same behavior trying to run Freemind.

  • WD Java Migration error

    Hello all,
    I'm facing a 700 to 730 migration and I'm having some problems with some (not all) WD Java migration. Steps I'm following:
    Development Infraestructure perspective > DC > Sync / Create Project > Create Project
    The system detects that it's an older version and gives me the option Migrate Projects > Next
    Migration Summary:
    Total projects migrated 1
    Projects migrated with warnings 1
    Migration Details:
    Started migration for project DEP_TRACK_Dzhratse_ndp~diba.com OK
    Migrating all of the controller's context in Web Dynpro project OK
    If there are build errors in Web Dynpro Project after migration,this might be due to internal API usages (see SAP Note 928485) For migrating internal API usages -> In Web Dynpro Explorer, right click on Project Node and choose Repair->Internal API Usages
    Web Dynpro perspective > Project > Rebuild, and yes, there are build errors:

    Then I do what he said:
    Web Dynpro perspective > Project > Repair > Internal Web Dynpro API Usages
    Web Dynpro perspective > Project > Rebuild
    And right now, everything is ok! No more errors in the Web Dynpro project code...
    Right now, I should deploy it, right?
    Web Dynpro perspective > Project > Deploy > Make consistent first (Create Archive) > OK
    And then an error occurs:
    Build
      zhr/atse_ndp diba.com The Build terminated with errors
    Archive file ' DEP_TRACK_Dzhratse_ndpdiba.com gen default deploy diba.comzhr~atse_ndp.ear' not found. Check the problems view for error messages and create a new archive.
    Any idea?
    Thanks!!!

Now I keep getting Java errors and java script errors whenever i try to put a file to my site or even on some task boxes that have undefined in the command box instead of the normal command. I am wondering if downloading product again could help but i worry about licensing problem. It seems like there is no support for CS3 Dreamweaver.
    I resent the fact i may have to upgrade to Dreamweaver CS5. IF I do can I just upgrade Dreamweaver and not the other programs as part of the web design suite? My last upgrade was the CS3 web design suite.

    Thanks for the suggestion, I followed the links and instructions and still have same problem. Very frustrating as I cannot get any phone support, actually i was told Dreamweaver CS3 is not being supported anymore, and I was directed to this forum.
    Kind of makes me not like Adobe and I am going to search for another web building program. Once I calm down I may consider just upgrading to CS 5 Dreamweaver. Do I have to upgrade the entire Web Design suite or can I just upgrade Dreamweaver?
    Another option is to try and reinstall but I worry I can run into licensing problems (I think I ran into this before as destop and laptop crashed and had to reinstall).

  • Localhost java[671] Error : kCGErrorFailure:

    This problem started occurring quite recently, I suspect after a software update.  When I try to start the hadoop namenode, I get this error,
    Fri Aug 16 09:06:25 localhost java[671] <Error>: kCGErrorFailure: Set a breakpoint @ CGErrorBreakpoint() to catch errors as they are logged.
    The thing is, I have two macbook pros with hadoop installed (4.1.2 and 4.2.0).  I was able to run hadoop on both until a couple of days ago when updates were installed and not both of them won't start and give the very same error.  The java version on both is,
    Macbook pro 1 (osx 10.6.8):   java version "1.6.0_51" Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.6.0_51-b11-457-10M4509) Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM (build 20.51-b01-457, mixed mode)
    Macbook pro 2 (osx 10.7.5): java version "1.6.0_51" Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.6.0_51-b11-457-11M4509) Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM (build 20.51-b01-457, mixed mode)

    Fortunately had a backup java version (1.6.0_31) and restored it.  So now my hadoop is up and running again.  So I essentially replaced 1.6.0_51 with this earlier version.
    This is the first time I have run into this sort of an issue with Mac OS X after more than 2 years of being a happy and contended user.
    Never expected this from Apple, one whole day wasted.
    THIS TRULY AND VERILY ***** BIG TIME!!!!!!
    I hope Apple does not become another Microsoft.  Hope some genius from their genius bar sees this post and fixes this issue with 1.6.0_51
