Java SAX mapping "&" problem
Hi, I'm using SAX mapping, but in case that some field has "&" as content, for example company name,
public void characters(char buf[], int offset, int len)
throws SAXException {
String s = new String(buf, offset, len);
for string "name m&s" returns only "s". It loops(splits this string into 3) trough:
1. "name m"
2. "&"
3. "s"
and in this case, I get only "s" what is completely wrong. How to avoid that?

Can you convert the character & to "& a m p ;" whithout white spaces?
"& a m p ;" is the correct value for some XML parsers, or try to use other character set.

JAVA Sax mapping replaces &_amp; with & causing mapping to fail
Hi all,
I have the following mapping scenario:
Source XML -> Java Sax Mapping -> Graphical Mapping -> Target structure
The source XML is valid and caters for special characters like & which appear as &_amp; in the XML (ignore the underscore _ without it the editor strips the amp;, isn't that ironic!).
The second step of the interface mapping, which is the graphical map, is failing. It seems that the Java Sax mapping is replacing &_amp; with & in the XML, which is then causing the graphical map to fail as it cannot handle the special character &.
Is there anyway I can prevent the Java Sax mapping from changing & to &
Or is the only solution for me to write extra code in the Java map to convert & back to &_amp; before passing to the second mapping step????

Use this in your source xml file for '&' ->"&_amp;" remove the underscore

I have Java SAX mapping for IDOC-to-JDBC scenario. Sometimes it happens that, XI starts to create first XML SQL message, then in one moment stops(this XML hasn't right structure) and starts with second. With second, XI ends OK, but this has, XML syntactically, OK structure, and it can not be parsed to SQL. JDBC says:
Error while parsing or executing XML-SQL document: ERROR occured parsing request:com.sap.engine.lib.xml.parser.NestedSAXParserException: Fatal Error: com.sap.engine.lib.xml.parser.ParserException: XML Declaration not allowed here.(:main:, row:2, col:6)(:main:, row=2, col=6) -> com.sap.engine.lib.xml.parser.ParserException: XML Declaration not allowed here.(:main:, row:2, col:6)
This is some mix of two messages that should be mapped separatly. has anybody any idea?

This SAX Parser exception generally occurs when some condition is not being satisfied by the message payload when it is being parsed through the SAX Parser..for eg. if some tag in your message has data of greater legth than is specified in the condition in IR it throws a saxparser exception.
A mapping error is a non-fatal error that occurs during the mapping process.
The fatal errors are errors such as IOException that interrupt the mapping process and the exception is thrown by the mapping utility.

My applet works on Netscape 6.1 presumably because the java.util.map class has capabilities that I'm using in my applet that isn't in other versions of java.util.map. Since I want to make my applet cross platform, is there any way to include java.util.map in my jar file so that people can use that version instead? Thanks.

I think that will break your license agreement with Sun, so you probably don't want to do that, right? ;)
I think you should try to figure out what the exact cause of your problem is. Off hand, it almost sounds like your applet uses v1.3 api, but your still using the old <Applet> html tag and not the new <Object> tag. Is this right?

Message Mapping Problem with UTF-16LE Encoded XML
Hello,
we have the following scenario:
IDoc > BPM > HTTP Sync Call > BPM > IDoc
Resonse message of the HTTP call is a XML file with UTF-16LE processing instruction. This response should then be mapped to a SYSTAT IDoc. However the message mapping fails "...XML Parser: No data allowed here ...".
So obviously the XML is not considered as well-formed.
When taking a look at SXMB_MONI the following message appears: "Switch from current encoding to specific encoding not supported.....".
Strange thing however is if I save the response file as XML and use the same XML file in the test tab message mapping is executed successfully.
I also tried to use a Java Mapping to switch encodings before executing message mapping, but the error remains.
Could the problem be, that the codepage UTF-16LE is not installed on the PI system ? Any idea on that ?

This is what I have tried to achieve. I apply the java conversion mapping when receiving the response message - i tried to convert the response to UTF-16, UTF-8 but none of them has helped to solve the problem.
I guess that using adapter modules is not an option either as it would modify the request message, but not the response, right? -

The documentation on the SAML AS java user mapping refers to Mapping SAML Principals to SAP J2EE Engine User IDs - User Authentication and Single Sign-On - SAP Library custom development. In my case the users are managed on the AS ABAP system. Can I leverage the ABAP mapping mechanism using VUSREXTID, similar to the user mapping on the ABAP AS Mapping SAML Principals to AS ABAP User IDs - User Authentication and Single Sign-On - SAP Library without building my own java program?
We have developed a login module which is working with Kerberos auth, not x.509 auth, but still solves a very similar problem to the problem you are describing. As you know, when SNC is used to logon to ABAP stack, the SNC name of the user is mapped onto a SAP user via entries in the USRACL table. Our mapping login module takes the authenticated user principal name from the shared state and uses this to lookup the entry in USRACL table on ABAP stack, and from this it will know which SAP user to use, and can update shared state with this info so that CreateTicketLoginModule will created an SSO2 ticekt for the mapped SAP user id.
This means that mapping of users externally authetnicated identity onto SAP user/client can be managed in one place, e.g in ABAP stack using USRACL table entires and su01 t-code etc.
I know it is not exactly what you wanted, since you are looking to use x.509 certifiates instead of Kerberos authentication, but I thought it was worth sharing so that you know the concept has already been implemeneted many times. Many of our customers use this login module when they have our product, for the same reasons that you have stated.

Java Class Mapping Program in BPM process
I have a scenario where I'm receiving an IDOC I then use a JAVA mapping program in my first transformation step. Immediately following I have a switch step but there is not data in from the mapping program.
1) Receive Step
2) Transformation IDOC to Table using Java class
3) Switch step based on Table field value
Problem is there is no values in the table.
This java class was not developed within NetWeaver but was used in our old process. We simply imported the jar file for accessing our existing java classes. Is there something else we need to do to utilize our java modules within the BPM process?Hi,

I've got a basic Java -> AS mapping working where my
server-side Java "Customer" class is serialized down to my
client-side AS "Customer" object via my use of the RemoteClass
attribute. But when my Java object returns a Customer[] or a List,
the items inside the collection revert back to just "Object"'s
instead of "Customer"'s. Any idea why?
I'm using RemoteObject.Doh! Ok I solved my own problem. This might be a gotcha for
others. Originally, I had code like this in the result handler for
my remoteobject:
var cust:Customer = Customer(event.result);
But when I was testing returning an array of Customer
objects, I changed my code to this just to see what was coming
back:
ObjectUtil.toString(event.result);
When I did this, I removed any references to my Customer
class so it did not get compiled. Once I added in a dummy reference
to my Customer class, all worked well again. -
Java-wsdl-mapping file with incorrect case
Hi. We're working with JDeveloper 10.1.3.1 preview and have encountered what I believe to be a bug. We have a schema with element names that are mixed case (such as FirstName). We are trying to use JAXB to create our classes and then wrap it as a web service. The problem is, the WSDL and java-wsdl-mapping file references the element names as firstName rather than FirstName.
In experimenting, I've learned that if I create the WSDL and schema first and "Create Java Project from WSDL" that it creates a java-wsdl-mapping file with the case preserved. However the first time I go into the web services properties dialog and click OK, it re-creates these files with the case changed again.
Please advise if this is expected behavior...although I don't see how it could be since it is inconsistent.

Compile error import java.util.map$entry
Hi,
I am trying to compile code which imports the following package
import java.util.Map$Entry.
The error thrown up is : cant resolve symbol Map$Entry. Why is there a $ in the package import path and is there some configuration required to compile the file.
I am not allowed to change the code. Does anyone have an idea on how this problem can be solved.

Changing the import should probably help compile the code, but without changing the import .. need to check. This is just from what i remember now. Lets see if anyone else comments on this. -
Exposing java.util.Map data as RequiredModelMBean
I'm trying to expose java.util.Map data but I can't quite figure how.
I'd like the management interface to look like it has an attribute that is actually the key of the map.
For example, calling:
mBeanServer.getAttribute(new ObjectName("nomojomofo:type=mapBean"), "fubar");
would get its data from the target object as:
aMap.get("fubar");

However you should be aware that most JMX consoles do not expect that the MBeanInfo of a given MBean can change over time.
If the content of your Map is fixed - you won't have any problem.
If it can change over time, you might consider exposing the Map as a single attribute,
for instance, as a CompositeData.

Let me get this straight -- when I drag a file into a iCloud folder, it ERASES it off my computer?
