Hi,
I need a tool to integrate open source library in my project.
What I need is:
I have a background image with fixed points designed that could, for example, represent the buildings, and I want to draw on this image of moving objects, as if they move between the buildings.
Do you know a library that allows me to do this? Preferably a library that I produce output suitable for web Pagini.

If the file has some delimiter char, must be easy, because I use the StringTokenizer, but I don't know how can I do to delimited by a column number.

Good afternoon, to see if I can clarify with your help.
I'll do a migration to Java application that we use in my business. I will not go much into detail, but basically it is an application that uses multiple users from several different profiles, so only one application that I have thought about doing is a "web platform" where it all together.
My knowledge of Java are regular, basic know-post-university J2SE, J2EE and little else. I started to do small things with JSP and good things seem to me comes in handy for my project, I have only one problem I have not found the solution (due to my ignorance). The problem is I do not know how to edit the forms-page visually. I do not know if there is anything Swing style, something like "design mode" where you can drag buttons, checkboxes, images ... but oriented to web. I've come to ask what I need is an editor such Dreamweaver, and then take the HTML to NetBeans ... the truth is that I'm lost.
For that, I need to know how to edit J2EE developers websites, whether directly in HTML or PHP, whether via a Java tool or by external programs as Dremweaver web editing, or otherwise not know.

Forget that visual editors exist. If you want to do dynamic web programming, learn to do it through code, not by clicking. This means you'll have to know how to read, write, change and debug HTML, CSS and Javascript; the very minimal set of skills required for any web developer. There is nothing stopping you from using a tool like Dreamweaver to create the basic HTML/CSS framework, but it stops there.
To make that process easier you may want to check out the Eclipse IDE as it has the ability to instantly make visual what you create without having to open your application in a browser, which can be a big help. That will add another thing to your TODO list though, learning how to properly use an IDE like Eclipse; you have to crawl before you can walk.

Making Java tools available

Hi,
I am having trouble with my Java tools.
I am only able to run programs like javac, rmic, rmiregistry
from the bin directory. (c:\jdk\bin) The directory where they
are stored. I cannot run these programs from sub-directories of bin
or any other location.
I believe this is creating a problem in my RMI application which
requires the rmiregistry program to be run in the directory containing
the Stub class.
How can I make these programs runnable from the command line
in any directory?
Any help is greatly appreciated.
I am using Microsoft Windows 2000.

Check your system PATH variable and make sure it includes c:\jdk\bin.

Selection in java tools

Hi, I have installed PI 7.0 SPS16 on hp-ux 11.31 ia64. Java version is 1.4.2.19.
When using Web tools like RWB Message monitor or Communication Channel monitor
I can not see what items I already selected or in other words: the radio buttons for selection in the first column are not visible.
Any suggestion why is that? Is this mainly a java or a sap problem?

I doubt that the problem would be because of the Java version.

Unable to start java tools - Error : Environment variable JAVA_HOME not set

hi all,
I am not able to start the java tool - Visual Admin, Configtool, etc in the solaris Bash shell.
I was given authorizations on solaris and i'm able to view the logs and browse in solaris boxes,
But, when i try to start Visual Admin, it says" ERROR environment variable JAVA_HOME not set "
Since,my colleagues are using this tool for years, how come the environment variable is not set only for my user profile ?
Is it like the environment variable has to set seperately for every user profile ?
Do i need to set it initially for my profile eventhough it is working for others ?
i am confused..please help.

Ofcourse, I use my login ID to use java tools and they use their's obviously.I don't use <SID>adm.
We WRQ reflection for X-Windows and Putty for Command line Solaris Access.
When i try to use VA through the X-Window tool WRQ reflection, I am not able to start the tool.
My doubt here is, Do we need to setup the environment variable for every new user initially for the first time ? ( I am a new user for this environment )
Supposing if i need to setup the environment variable, do i need to set it up for the all the Solaris Boxes i use ?
I am able to browse through the files.when i try to start the VA by giving ./go i am not able to start it up.

My system can't find Java tools

I installed Java SDK 1.4.2_07 a year or so ago on my Linux system in;
/usr/java/j2sdk1.4.2_07/
I also carried out some procedures at this time to make the Java tools accessable from any directory. Exactly what these procedures were I cannot recall.
It all worked fine. I could execute Java commands from any directory.
Recently I connected a router to provide ADSL connectivity to the Internet.
When I did this I noticed that my command prompt changed from;
[username@localhost username]$
to
[username@myISPsName username]$
As soon as I did this I found I could no longer get Java commands to work from anywhere.
All I get is error messages such as;
bash: java: command not found
What has happened? Has my environment variable been changed somehow?
How do I get Java commands working again?
Even when I change directory to
/usr/java/j2sdk1.4.2_07/bin/
and then enter
[username@myISPsName bin] java -version
I get the error message;
bash: java: command not found
I am quite confused.

working backward in you post...
[username@myISPsName bin] java -version
should be
[username@myISPsName bin] . java -version
now you must of set the java install path in you PATH a year ago.
So type SET and look at the PATH varible to confirm that its in there.
If it is, check that its correct.
To change it look for a file like...
.bash it should contain the settings.

A drag and drop flowchart IS a tool, as in a complete program. Perhaps you can find an open source flowchart tool written in Java somewhere from which you can 'borrow' some internals, but I'd not get your hopes up. You are probably in for some programming to get something that matches your specific needs.
Another option is to turn it around - is it perhaps possible to build your own application on top of an existing platform, like Eclipse or Netbeans platform? Both of those have at least the frameworks/tools to make it easy to create a flowchart module, but you have a good chance that one exists already.

Please Adobe Illustrator, can you give people the official response they need so they can plan their workflow.
Apparently Affinity Designer is going to be adding a Rotate View Tool shortly and their app is only $50 one-off payment too, so perhaps you ought to respond before other people start making the switch? The rotate view tool is something illustrators really need, we already have it in Manga Studio, and it makes life so much easier. You can't really draw on a CINTIQ in vector form without it, at least not as well as you should be able to.
Can you please update your paying customers so we can make an informed decision.

In Adobe Flash CS6, I have a blue box appearing around lines drawn with the line tool (and other tools like brush etc). Whenever I try to use a tool, a blue box appears around the line and I have to double click it to manipulate it, which opens just that line in a semi burred screen where all the other objects are semi-grey in the background. I can manipulate this line in this screen but nothing else at that time which I could do about 5 minutes ago. For exampe, I no longer can join up 2 lines drawn by the line tool together. For some reason this started randomly (probably due to a accidental shortcut combination) and I just can't put it back to what it used to be. I have inserted a video hopefully showing what I mean. Any help would be appreciated.

Need a java tool to get the directory difference

Designer 6i + 9i: Java tools (Version History etc) do not work in 9i

I have installed both Designer 6i (4.2) and 9i in different homes.
6i works fine, but in the 9i installation the java tools, such as Version History Viewer etc. do not work. The java classes cannot be found.
Any suggestions?

6i R4.2 and 9i seem to work against the same repository version, so I can use 6i for the missing parts. Will this be working still after future patches of 9i?
I need the combined 6i/9i installation because my laptop is used both for (6i) training and 9i development.

1) This is most probably caused by your java class path being longer than
999 characters. We are aware of this problem and it is recorded as a bug.
Simply reduce the length of your class path to less than 999 characters
and the Java tools should start OK. The offending Registry variable you
are looking for is:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ORACLE\HOME0\REPADM61\DEFAULT_JVM_PARAMS_THIN_JDBC
JVM_CLASSPATH_DEFAULT_THIN_JDBC
There is an also one or two issues with the JDBC thin drivers used and
the 'increased sensitivity' of the 9i database tnsnames.ora file content
and structure. The Release Notes for Designer 6i Release 4.3/9i Designer
9.0.2.1.0 should more details on this and available workarounds.
I suggest you look at these and implement the tnsnames.ora workaround at
least, in order to protect against future connection problems. By the way
- 8.1.7 works fine with respect to these connection issues.

No. Many people use Jasper Reports (http://jasperreports.sourceforge.net/) for their reporting. It's free and opensource. You define your reports in xml and you can create text, html and pdf reports.
You can also try to use html for reporting. I've used it on a project with pretty good results. The benefit is that you probably don't need to learn a new tool/language.
We generated the html using velocity, layout was done using css. You can remove the default headers, footer and page margins added by internet explorer by setting some registry keys:
