Javascript code error depending on Adobe Reader Version

Hi everybody,
I develop a Adobe interactive forms with ALD version 8 on ECC 6.0 system .My forms is only used in offline scenario ( thru e-mail) .My form is set as compatible with Adobe Reader 7.0.5
In the form i got 2 different tables .
The first table , let's call it Tab1 , is define as follow :
  Field 1 -> DropDowlist box
  Field 2 -> TExt Field
  Field 3 -> DropDownlist Box
  Field 4 -> DropDownlist Box
  Field 5 to 11 -> Text Field.
The second table, let's call TAB2 , is define as follow :
  Field 1 -> DropDownlist box
  Field 2 -> Text Field
  Field 3 -> Dropdownlist box
  Field 4 to 10 -> Text Field.
The content of the DropDownlist of Field1 of Tab1 and Tab2 are similar.
When user try to click on Field 5/6/7/8/9/10/11 of Tab1 for populate it, i wrote a javascript code to check if Field3 is populate. If not i set a focus on Filed3 of Tab 3 .
Same check have been written for Tab2 when user try to click on Field 4/5/6/7/8/9/10.
This code works fine with Adobe REader 8.1 but with Adobe Reader 7.0.9 it doesn't work and that's a main issue because it can't be possible to be sure that all user will use adobe Reader 8.1.
Adboe Reader 7.0.9 is a pre-requisite as describe in OSS note 834573.
Does somebody face the same problem and can help me to solve it .
Regards
Ps : Here is the javascript i wrote :
var pos = eval(this.parent.index);
if (xfa.resolveNode("data...ACTIVITY_DETAIL["+pos+"].SOFTWARE").isNull)
xfa.host.setFocus(xfa.resolveNode("data...ACTIVITY_DETAIL["+pos+"].SOFTWARE"));

I made a mistake when describing the error, I change the explanation.

Hi Juergen,
I check this code with Adobe Reader 7.0.9 and 7.1 and that doesn't works.
With Adobe Reader 8.1 that works .
I don't test it with Adobe Reader 9.0 , does this version support by Adobe forms in SAP ??
My main problem is that a lot of user will use this forms . Some of them will use their own computer but some of them will use others company computer so i can't be sure that Adobe reader will be 8.1 and my customer want that test working with Adobe Reader 7.0.9 which is regarding oss note the minimum version for Adobe Interactive forms.
Thanks.

  • Adobe Reader version 7.1.0 will not install

    Hi all,
    I am bringing up a new Discovery server and working through the SAP Discovery System Quick Guide.  My question is that Adobe Reader version 7.0.9 is no longer available and version 7.1.0 will not launch.
    Has anyone seen an issue with this?  When I run the Adobe Reader installer, it fails with no error.  There are no messages in the event log either.
    Looking through troubleshooting guides, it appears that version 7.x is mandatory and there are errors if only 8.x is installed.
    I've searched the forums with no luck. Thanks in advance for your help.

    Hi,
        Please consider opening a CSN ticket on component CA-SOA-DS and the appropriate SAP support personnel will assist you in this issue.

  • Adobe Reader Version 11.0.10 won't save pdf file as original file name

    We are currently using Adobe Reader Version 11.0.10.
    When we open and existing pdf file then make any changes (using the Fill & Sign Tab at the top right hand side) then click Save it won't save the file.  We have to re-name the file in order to save it.
    This was working ok back in January and wondered if there has been an up-date since then that has made this error occur?
    Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you.  We have tried that but it has not made any difference.  Adobe still requires a new file name to save the file.

  • 1309 error in reinstalling Adobe Reader

    I had a 1309 error updating Adobe Reader, so following Adobe's suggestion, I uninstalled & attempted to reinstall. Now the 1309 error points to c:\Config\Config.Msi\126577.rbf needing permission. Sounds questionable to me. Is this right? And if it is right, Who do I give permission to & What permissions?
    I have Windows Vista
    Adobe Reader version 10.1.4

    I tried 3 times to download, first from Adobe notification of an update, then once more as an update from adobe.com (using Mozilla with Adblock & Ghoastery), finally I uninstalled version 10.1.3 and tried to download version 10.1.4 (using Internet Explorer, no Adblock or anything similiar) at adobe.com. Two times asked for permission to different files with the 1309 error, last error I did not write down, but was 14xx.
    Next I did a system restore to 3 days prior, reinstalled current updates to Windows Vista. Using IE I tried the full download of version 10.1.3 from hippofile.com, which worked.
    I don't want to try the update again until it gets fixed. I spent almost 7 hours on this and am concerned about turning off virus software to get the update to work.
    I am hoping my question to Adobe will provide a solution. Thank you for your time & assistance.

  • I've deleted Adobe Reader 11 and rebooted and reinstalled Adobe Reader 11 and I still get the error message that 'Adobe Reader is blocked because it is out of date'. Using Windows XP with the latest updates (SP3).

    Google Chrome is a problem:
    if you use Chrome's own PDF viewer, the results are unpredictable.
    if you use the Adobe Reader plugin with Chrome, it may reject (block) it if it is not the latest version.  Reader 11.0.08 is the latest version for Windows XP, but Chrome may insist on the current version 11.0.10.
    My suggestion; use a different browser!

  • I still have problems with Error 1402 in Adobe Reader 9.5 Installation.  Can anyone help me?

    Hi, I have a Compaq Presario C500 Laptop with Windows Vista installed.  For the past year, I've been trying to upgrade from Adobe Reader version 8 to either a version 9 or 10.  However, when I download and begin the installation, I always get two error messages:
    The first one is the error 1402 could not open key.  The registry path is HKEY LOCAL MACHINE\Software\Classes\PDFShellServer.PDFShelllnfo2\CurVer.  Verify you have sufficient access to that key or contact your support personnel.
    The second one occurs when it retrys:  It say error 1402 could not open key.  The registry path is HKEY LOCAL MACHINE\Software\Classes\AcroAccess.AcrobatAccess\CurVer.  Verify you have sufficient access to that key or contact your support personnel.
    I went to the troubleshooting page and followed the instructions given.  But when I go into the Permissions area and do as the instructions say, regardless whether I click Apply or OK, I get a Windows Security message saying - Unable to set new owner on Cur Ver, Access is denied.
    This does this no matter how many times I repeat the instructions for troubleshooting.  Can anyone recommend another possible solution?  Thanks!

    First be sure you run RegEdit as Administrator
    Right click the key in the left hand pane ... select permissions from the context menu
    In the permissions dialog, click the advanced button.
    In the advanced security settings dialog switch to the Owner tab
    I assume your usercode is a member of the local Administrators group
    Click the Replace owner on subcontainers and objects box.
    If Administrators is NOT the owner, select it in the change owner to box...press Apply...OK.
    You are now back at the Permissions dialog box.
    Select Administrators and give them Full control by selecting the Full Control checkbox in the Allow column...press Apply ... Ok
    It has been a while since I have had to do this ... so I might be off a little on the steps.
    The key is IGNORE any messages that say you don't have enought rights...
    You must do each key... one at a time....:)

  • Rollback Adobe Reader version on Mac OSX 10.6

    Hello all,
    I recently upgraded to Adobe Reader version 9.2. I use a drm software on my machine from Oracle that is not compatible with 9.2. I need to roll back to 9.1
    I went into my applications folder and deleted Adobe Reader 9.2. searched for all recently updated Adobe foldered and deleted those as well. I emptied my trash can and restarted machine.
    Whenever I try to install Adobe Reader 9.1 I get an error message that says "A new version of this software already exists on the disk" or something to that affect and it will not let me install 9.1.
    Any suggestions or hidden files I should look for on my Mac? I really need 9.1 to view my drm material.

    Just see if  /private/var/db/receipts/Adobe Reader 9.bom and  /private/var/db/receipts/Adobe Reader 9.plist are present. If they are delete them and reinstall. Hope this helps.

  • Adobe Reader Version XI (11.0.06) vs Adobe Acrobat 9 Standard Version 9.5.5

    Do I have to install Adobe Reader Version XI (11.0.06) when I have Adobe Acrobat 9 Standard Version 9.5.5 on my WIN7 Pro, just because Firefox 26.0 needs a newer plugin?

    No. 9.5.5 is the latest version but it is no longer supported with updates. It is possible to get Firefox to stop blocking.
    Version 11 does have significant security enhancements though, particularly on Windows.

  • Can I install adobe reader version XI (11.0.04) on OS X 10.9.1 mavericks on my mac?

    can I install adobe reader version XI (11.0.04) on OS X 10.9.1 mavericks on my mac?

    Yes.
