Javascript error in Chrome?!

I exported my website as html and it works perfectly (almost) in Safari. When I launch it in Chrome it gives to following error:
MuseJSAssert: Error calling selector function:SecurityError: Failed to read the 'contentDocument' property from 'HTMLIFrameElement': Blocked a frame with origin "null" from accessing a cross-origin frame.
Any thoughts on how to fix this?

If you're opening the .html files directly from your hard drive in a browser, you're using "file://" protocol. The security behavior of "file://" protocol is different than that for the http or https protocols used when a web server provides the pages to a browser.
Does the error occur if you do Preview Page in Browser or Preview Site in Browser from Muse? Muse contains a mini-web server that provides the files to the browser using http protocol to avoid this type of false error. If the error doesn't appear when doing preview, then you're going to be fine once the file's on your web server.

I'm unable to launch an excel file in the Client App from OWA using google chrome. I am able to open the excel file in the web application, but when clicking "Edit Workbook" and selecting "Edit Excel" the file never opens.

According to your description, my understanding is that you got an error when you tried to edit excel in client application with Chrome.
Per my knowledge, when you open or edit documents(from SharePoint library) in client application, it requires Open Documents ActiveX controls. Open Documents ActiveX controls limitations on browsers which do not support ActiveX. Currently only 32-bit versions
of Internet Explorer support this functionality. So , for resolving your issue, I suggest you use IE 32-bit.

Hi,
I have been trying to embed a google map on a InDesign CC page, NO LUCK YET.
I spoke several Adobe InDesign help line people, unfortunately they couldn't solve it.
Here is the problem: I tried with different versions
1- version) I copy of a map code and paste the code on a page, shows grey square round image and nothing (no map)
2- version) From Object menu:
    "Select insert HTML.."
    "This is an HTML snippet."
I paste the codes into HTML box, a second later, small box message,
     "JavaScript Error encountered while loading HTML"
I have 64bit 12gb ram computer with windows 8.1
InDesign CC version 9.2.1 x64
Java 7 update 51
I have tried with Internet explorer, google chrome and fire fox, and different maps, still no luck.
Can anyone solve this problem?

Yes, Google changed something and not for the better.
Try a bing map instead. They work fine.

Google searches throw Javascript error "Debug Error: Exception...."

I went away for a week. Everything fine. Since I got back (May 6 2010) when I click on any Google search result a pop-up box appears (sometimes when the search results page first appears before clicking anything) with this message:
"Debug Error:Exception... "Node was not found" code: "8" nsresult: "0x80530008 (NS_ERROR_DOM_NOT_FOUND_ERR)" location: "chrome://ffamazonhot/content/lib/Extension.debug.js Line: 366""
Continual clicking (100+ clicks!) of the OK button eventually clears the dialogue but any subsequent search starts the whole process again. I also not that the style of the Google results p[age has changed.
I have to use a different browser for Google searches. IE7-OK Opera 9.64 - OK Chrome - OK (naturally)
I have cleared Cache, History, Cookies etc. I have tried reinstalling FF. I have disabled JavaScript in he browser. All no good.
I notice in the forums that others are having this problem in the same time range - i.e it has just started happening. I have tired contacting Google with the usual lack of success!

ADF Javascript error in MS IE v 8.0.6001.18702

I'm using jdeveloper v11.1.2.0.0. I have a login page with language, username, password fields. Language is af:selectonechoice and is using ppr to re-render the page on language change. It's working fine with FireFox 4 and chrome. But when I open the page in IE (8.0.6001.18702), it's showing the following javascript error, and I cannot even submit the login details(eventhough I'm not changing language). The error is,

Dear all,
I'm using Business X1's Java reporting component. The JRC is configured with websphere App server 5. The reports are displayed properly in the web browser. The toolbar also displays correctly. When any of the buttons in the tool bar is clicked i get a javascript error .... Error: 'CrystalEventTarget' is null or not an object From observing the browser source, It seems the hidden elements CrystalEventTarget and CrystalEventArgument etc. are not seen as part of CrystalViewerCrystalForm form. Can anyone help with this ?Thanks

Javascript error in event handler! edge 4.0.0.js, what to do about it?

Hello everyone. I get an error in my chrome cosole, what can I do about this?
I dont have this problem in all browsers, just in chrome, and in some versions of Firefox.
The problem occurs when I click any label in the iframe (see website, speaks for itself).

does anyone know how to fix this?
And why do I only have this problem in some browsers?

I basically want the labels in the Iframe to make the parent page animate to a specific anchor tag.
ps. This is what I posted on the jquery forum as well:
I tried to do this by letting the iframe .trigger a .click to a button on the .parent page.
I did this in two ways.
one: the click is triggerd in (/by) the iframe
two: the click is triggerd by a script in the parent window, that script is launched by the iframe
Here's the thing:
this is what one of the <a>'s that the iframe will click looks like:

The code is generated by adobe muse which has a function to smoothly scroll to a location on the page, and I am guessing the "anim_swing" class takes care of that.
I would like the colorful labels in the iframe to do the same thing as the <a> above.
and it works in some browsers on some computers but somehow not on all of them (with method two the adblocker doesn't seem to be an issue ).
I also tried to let the parent page scroll directly with the jquery .scrollto function. That did not work either (see the jquery forum).

I'm doing a little edge project (now in beta version) for my girlfriend (she hates the code), with examples of the animate() method and other functions like setInteval(), but when I run I get the following error in Chrome console:

Javascript Error when typing.

ok trying to start a new question. Hope I am in the right place... I was able to download and install an older version - Moz FF 26; however, with practically each keystroke I get these 2 error msgs: " [JavaScript Application] ! initXPCOM TypeError: compClass is underfined" AND ""onLoad TypeError: can't access dead object" It keeps happening - so much so that I will go back to Google Chrome until I find a fix. To recap, I had a real problem with what I thot was a msg from Mozilla to update; I finally uninstalled my Moz browser; then I ran into several warnings and error msgs, then I gave up for awhile. I was avoiding various links that were not direct from Mozilla; then I went to Mozilla support; I was warned NOT to install an older version, but nothing was working, so I tried that and was able to download & install Mozilla 26. Yet I keep getting that [JavaScript] error ?????
I tried several links offered in the forum.

Please check for a rogue extension. I recommend you disable ALL nonessential or unrecognized extensions on the Add-ons page. Either:
* Ctrl+Shift+a
* orange Firefox button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons
In the left column, click Extensions. Then, if in doubt, disable.
Usually a link will appear above at least one disabled extension to restart Firefox. You can complete your work on the tab and click one of the links as the last step.

Note: If there are extensions that do not have a Remove button, typically the uninstaller will be in the Windows Control Panel, Uninstall a Program. If you click the "Installed on" column heading the most recent additions should come to the top where you can identify what kinds of bundled baddies might have snuck on board along with something you actually wanted.

but when the customer is pressing a certain button in the catalog nothing happens.
I suspect that this might be due to a javascript error in the code.
However the browser in this system has no developer toolbar and every menu option
is overriden. The F12 key is escape etc.
So basically what I want to know...
Is there a way to debug a javascript error in this environment?

Javascript error in JSP when deployed to Weblogic

Hi, I am getting the below Javascript error whenever I try to sort within an ADF table in my page once deployed in the Weblogic Server. Running it in local/integrated server is not causing any errors:
Message: 'AdfIEAgent.superclass.createXMLHttpRequest' is null or not an object
URI: http://{HOST_NAME}/{Context_Root}/afr/partition/ie/default/opt/boot-11.1.2.2.0-2121.js
A little background:
This application was a migrated Jdeveloper 10.1.3 application. I converted the converted trinidad table to adf rich tables.

Can you reproduce this error in Firefox/Chrome?
How you converted trinidad tables(did you manually changed source or you recreated table(by drag and drop from data control)) ?
Probably the fastest way to identify this problem is to create simple test case in JDev 11.1.2.2 and deploy to standalane WLS.
If you can reproduce this error then this is some bug in ADF, but if this works as expected then you can compare content in ear files(included jar files, content of web.xml file, etc..) to find difference.

HELP! Project won't open, saying javascript errors

Hi,
I was working on a project and now it won't open. It's giving me the error: "Loading failed, Please check your page for JavaScript errors." I have opened up the js files in Dreamweaver and in Chrome to inspect element and there seems to be no syntax errors that are being called out. I tried to comment out the code as well and reopen and that does not work. All I was doing was saving new instances of a graphic and changing the stage size when I closed it. I even rebooted my computer but still can't open the project. I did not do anything at all to the js files so not sure what the problem is.
Can anyone please please help me??

It seems like you have changed the name of the symbol Definition, after you have instantiated it on the stage.
And that symbol name is: "custServ_Txt" and while instantiated on the stage its name was "custServTxt".
So, on line#124 in file zapposWinter_edge.js, if you change the line:
symbolName: 'custServTxt',
to
symbolName: 'custServ_Txt',
then things will work fine.

JavaScript error in IE8 with shared iPhoto Journals

I like iPhoto for iOS a lot: soo easy to build and design photo journals.
BUT: when I publish iPhoto Journals in iCloud and share the link to with others, they tell me they cannot see anything else than the headline and the background pattern... no pictures.
In Safari on iOS devices I have no issues to see the Journal. Same for Windows PCs with Google Chrome browser.
But when I use Internet Explorer 8 browser, the Journal stops loading after the background image is shown.
And the small javascript error indicator tells that IE8 stopped loading/rendering due to JavaScript issues within the JS-code of the page.
As I have no influence on JavaScript of the shared Journals, I would urgently like Apple to test and fix the issue.
Also in iOS Safari with enabled Debug Console the JavaScript errors are specified...
