Javascript for android share submit button

Hello
I have recently created a form using acrobat specifically to be used on a  android. The  traditional submit button to email the form data  is not supported on the android (from what I read). However, after completing the the form you can utilize the menu button, select share and email the populated form.
It would be much appreciated someone could let me know or direct me on how I can develop a script to create a submit button that will automatically email the form to a recipient or bypass the utilization of the menu button and direct the submission of the form to the email app on the android
Your help or suggestions are greatly appreciated.

  • Presence Property for standard Email Submit Button

    Hi All,
    Is it possible to hide the presence of the standard Email Submit Button in Livecycle Designer?
    Example: User cannot access EmailSubmitButton1 until a valid date has been entered in to DateTime1 field.
    I have tried the presence property, with both a change event and exit event with no luck. I am assuming that since the standard Email Submit Button does not have a "click" event available, this task cannot be accomplished.
    Any assistance is welcome

    Hi Paul,
    You were correct, the mistake was on my part. I replaced the Button1 value in the script with the correct value "SubmitButton1".
    Thanks again for your assistance.

  • Support for dynamic forms using javascript for android tablet

    I have some complex multipage pdf forms with javascript functions and calculations made in Acrobat X Standard, I can open and use parts of the form in ezyPDF android app, however the javascript is not fully supported, does anyone know of any plug ins or work arounds to view my forms on an android tablet, my forma have to be stand alone as internet access is not always available.

    Get to know CF's structure / array notation. This comes in
    very handy when dealing with queries and form fields.
    - Form.myFieldName can also be referenced by
    Form["myFieldName"]
    - MyQuery.myField can also be referenced by
    MyQuery["myField"][rowNumber]
    Anything in the above example surrounded by quotation makes
    can be made dynamic by just adding in a cf variable surrounded by
    pound signs:
    get_dealer_completion["level_#level_id#"][1]

  • How to disable a submit button on click using javascript

    Hi,
    We have built custom pages for mobile device (PDT) using OAF.
    The application is running on mobile IE 6.12 browser. In mobile platform, the cursor style is not changing to hour glass upon clicking.
    Due to this, user is able to click the same button multiple times before the operation is complete and it is getting submitted multiple time. But the same is working fine in Desktop browsers.
    We have tried with ((OABodyBean)body).setBlockOnEverySubmit(true); But the API documentation states that
    "Sets If set to true, user input will be blocked after EVERY submit (not just PPR submits). This attribute is not supported on the following agent types: pda, phone, voice."
    Hence, I am trying with javascript to disable the submit button after the first click. The issue is, even in the desktop browser
    I am not able to get the button disabled after first click. Please help me.
    I have tried the following statments in PR. But none of them seems to be working.
    //Try 1: directly using id
    OASubmitButtonBean updBtn = ((OASubmitButtonBean)webBean.findChildRecursive("UpdateBN"));
    updBtn.setOnClick("document.getElementById('UpdateBN').disabled=true;document.getElementById('UpdateBN').submit()");
    //Try 2:
    OASubmitButtonBean updBtn = ((OASubmitButtonBean)webBean.findChildRecursive("UpdateBN"));
    updBtn.setOnClick("javascript:this.disabled=true;this.form.submit();");
    //Try 3:
    OASubmitButtonBean updBtn = ((OASubmitButtonBean)webBean.findChildRecursive("UpdateBN"));
    updBtn.setOnClick("this.disabled=true;this.form.submit();");
    //Try 4: using a function
    static final String JS_MULTI_CLICK = "<Script LANGUAGE=\"JavaScript\"> "
    +" function DisabSub(btn)"
    + "{"
    + "btn.disabled = true;"
    + "}"
    +" </Script>" ;
    OARawTextBean rawMultiClick = (OARawTextBean)webBean.findIndexedChildRecursive("JSMultiClick");
    rawMultiClick.setText(JS_MULTI_CLICK);
    OASubmitButtonBean updBtn = ((OASubmitButtonBean)webBean.findChildRecursive("UpdateBN"));
    updBtn.setOnClick("javascript: var obj =disable(this);return DisabSub(obj);");
    Can any one please help.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi,
    Create two submit buttons A and B adjacent to each other.
    On page Load ,make A as rendered false and disabled true and B as rendered true. using SPEL.
    now on click of button B make button A as rendered true and Button B as rendered false through SPEL.
    In this way on button click the button will become disabled without the use of any javascript.
    Try it if it helps you...
    Thanks,

  • Multiple submit buttons in a jsp form?

    I've been doing some research and found out that multiple buttons in a JSP form are possible by two ways:
    - We can obtain the value of the submit button to know which one was clicked in the parameters of the request using the name of the buttons (which should be the same for all the submit buttons).
    - We can change the submit destination using Javascript (Horrible solution since I want my web site to be safe to be used even if Javascript isn't active in clients browsers. I will use it of course since we can do amazing things with it but I want my website to be able to work without it also)
    WHAT annoys me is the fact that the value of a submit button is also his text, so if I change the text of the submit button, I will always have to check the servlet to do the corresponding change.
    Is there a third choice to be able to use multiple buttons?
    Olivier Voutat

    It seem rather convoluted at first but it's really good. I've not worked with JSF so I've no idea how that compares but from what I know, Craig McClanahan, who came up with Struts, worked on JSF also, so I guess it could only improve on Struts.
    EDIT: Here's a search result on Google'ing his name: http://www.theserverside.com/news/thread.tss?thread_id=29068
    But like I said, you don't have to use Struts ( which only uses standard JSP/ Servlets stuff anyway ), you simply use one of the ideas from it.
    For example; you have a properties file, say "/WEB-INF/properties/myProps.properties" with these entries:
    #USERS MODULE
    users.button.save=Save User
    users.button.search=Search User By Name
    users.button.delete=Delete UserThis would be a key: users.button.save to the value Save User
    Now, in your JSP, you use JSTL <fmt> tags:
    <fmt:setBundle basename="properties.myProps"/>
    //set the resource bundle you want to use
    //and create buttons with the proper values
    <input name="myButton" type="submit"><fmt:message key="users.button.save"/></input>
    <input name="myButton" type="submit"><fmt:message key="users.button.search"/></input>This would create buttons with text "Save User" and "Search User By Name" respectively
    Now, finally, in your servlet:
    //create a map of the properties,
    //possibly on app startup using a ServletContextListener
    //and put it in the servlet context for access everywhere
    HashMap myProps = (HashMap)getServletContext.getAttribute("myPropertiesMap");
    String buttonClicked = request.getParameter("myButton");
    if ( buttonClicked.equals((String)myProps.get("users.button.save")) )
    //perform save action
    else if ( buttonClicked.equals((String)myProps.get("users.button.search")) )
    //perform search action
    //etcYou'll obviously want to optimize this. Perhaps make a method that handles the comparison so you can have neater if conditions. But you get the idea, right?

  • Add redirect to Submit button on PDF Form

    I need someone that knows javascript to help me out!
    I have saved the FormsCentral PDF Form locally and opened it up with Acrobat Pro XI, saved it as a copy, and then opened the new document in Acrobat Pro XI.  I am able to see the javascript that the FormsCentral Submit button placed in the form.
    How can I get the submit button to do what it is supposed to do (below), but then when its completed it should redirect to a different web page that I specify in the javascript code - in the SAME window, not in a new window.
    The submit button javascript code looks like this:
    var url = 'https://adobeformscentral.com/pdfsubmit?f=bbbbbbbbbbbb';
    var qParams = '&os=' + app.platform + '&sl=' + app.language + '&spv=1';
    var fIndex = url.indexOf('#FDF');
    url = url.substr(0, fIndex) + qParams + url.substr(fIndex);
    var charset = 'utf-8';
    if (app.language == 'JPN')
    charset = 'Shift-JIS';
    this.submitForm({cURL:url, cSubmitAs:'HTML', cCharset:charset});
    Do I need to add a location.href = "http://mydomain.com/completedpdf"; to make the current window then load the completedpdf web page?  And how do I add the command to the end of this javascript?
    Or is there some other javascript I should use?
    Thank you for your help!

  • Can Designer create a submit button that works in Acrobat Reader

    Just got Adobe Professional 7.0 for Windows XP. Was able to design a form in Professional that works in Acrobat Reader (the majority of my users do not have the full product). To do this I set the email button to export the data in a .fdf format. I received the full form as an attachment in my email.
    I then brought up the form in Designer 7.0 to use its expanded design capability. The button choices for the email submit button did not allow me to select a format and the saved file would not work in Adobe Reader. I then changed the button to a plain button using the submit control type. I found several submit format choices (XML, PDF, etc.). I saved the file in a variety of the choices but could not get Adobe Reader to send the format versions. FDF was not a choice. XML works but I would rather see the full form directly as an email attachment instead of taking the extra step of importing the XML data into the form
    Anybody have a work around?

    Andrej -
    Can you be more specific about what is needed and how to do it? I just downloaded the trial version of Designer and Document Server 6. I've created the form with a submit button but it ain't working.
    I want the "Submit by email" button to do just that - send the viewable .pdf (not just the data).
    To take a step back - I can't even get the darn button to send anything. I have the info entered correctly in Designer but when the buttons clicked, an error msg. reads: "An error occured while sending mail". That tells me a whole lot of nothing. Is it because it's the trial version, or is there something else going on?
    Anyway can you explain how to use Reader Extension Server in conjunction with Designer?
    Thanks -
    Dewey

  • Hide submit button in form

    Hi all,
    I have an interactive form with a submit button that i displayed online thru webdynpro for the user to key in data. And when user clicked on the submit button, i will validate the data in the webdynpro action handler, and will send out a copy of the same form as an attachment in email.
    But when sending this form in email, i do not want the email recipient to see the submit button when they open up the form to view. And the form should be in display mode as well.
    So 2 questions:
    1. how do i go about hiding the submit button and setting the form in display mode?
    2. For setting the form in display mode... i currently uses cl_wd_adobe_services create_pdf method to generate the xstring for email, so i can set the enable = ' '. Any other way to do this if i going to use the xstring from pdfsource of the interactive form UI element?

    Hi,
    For Hiding the UI elements in Interactive form try using Scripts (FormCalc).
    The script for hiding the Submit Button is:
    <path of the UI element in the Subform>.presence = "visible" / "hidden"
    The Script for making a field editable / read-only is:
    <path of the UI element in the Subform>.access = "readOnly" (Not Sure about the casing

  • Survey Submit button

    I need to disable the Submit button on a CRM survey in order to eliminate the possibility of multiple survey posts. The documentation advises that I should be able to add javascript to the PBO module perform this function, but I can't seem to get it working properly.
    So far, I've added a disableSubmit function to the survey PBO and I can see the javascript function in the rendered code. Is there a way to assign the function to the Submit button's onClick event? The closest I've come is to assign the function to the form's onSubmit event, which overrides the built-in onSubmit event and causes the survey to not be submitted.
    I've already tried implementing the changes in SAP note 945112, and found nothing useful.
    Does anyone have experience with this that can offer some assistance? We're running CRM 4.0
    Thanks,
    Jerry

    Got to do this in OnLoad event. If you can not do so, then add a document level script
    < script >
    your javascript
    < /script >
    Add your Javascript to disable the submit button here.

  • How do I get to the Submit button on my form?

    I have finished my first form but can not find how to get to the submit button on the form to add where I want the form to go - how do I get an email address attached to the form?

    Hi Amy;
    A FormsCentral form can be either a web form users fill out in a web browser, or a PDF form (can also be distributed both ways).
    For a Web form the data is always collected by the Adobe FormsCentral servers and is available to view/analyze in your account on the View Responses tab of the form.  There are also options to set up Email Reciepts (to the form filler) and Email Notifications (to you and other users you specify) that can contain the form data.
    For a PDF form you have the option of the Submit button that submits the data to FormsCentral the same as the Web form, and the same Notifications and Reciept options apply here too.  Alternatively you create a PDF in FormsCentral to use however you'd like and can edit in Acrobat and add your own Submit button that emails the PDF or form data back to you directly.  There are a number of tutorials online for adding email "Submit" buttons to PDF and if you are going to edit a FormsCentral PDF you would want to look at this FAQ as well: http://forums.adobe.com/docs/DOC-3661
    I hope that helps, let me know if you still have questions.
    Thanks,
    Josh

  • Edit email for submit button and Javascript?

    How can I change an email address attached to a submit  button on a previously created form? 2) How can I see if JavaScript is being used with form? A prior team member created interactive forms with a submit button. Email address attached to button needs to be updated. I tried to edit in Acrobat Pro by double  clicking the button to access the properties panel, but it doesn't open. If I recreate the form to amend the address, my file size is about 1/3 of the original which leads me to believe there is JavaScript.

    Thank you. My version of Adobe Acrobat Pro X  Tools- Forms edits in
    LiveCycle Designer after the form has been created and saved.. There is no
    other edit option as shown in the screen print below. The action wizard in
    Pro doesn't seem to apply in this case. I had tried right clicking the
    button in both Pro and LiveCycle previously to no avail. However, when the
    form opens in LiveCycle, I just figured out that there is an object window
    that allowed me to modify the email address.
    However, I don't understand the file size difference or even how to find
    the JS. We both used the same original word docx. His file size is 47K and
    my recreated file is 19K, a big difference. I didn't compress mine. Any
    thoughts on what is causing the difference? The forms are on a client's
    website for external users to complete so load time is still important.

  • Captivate 8 - submit buttons/images no longer showing on devices after adding text with javascript

    I'm working on a Captivate 8 project to publish to devices through PhoneGap. This is working successfully on iPhone and Android so far. I have modified the quiz so I have 2 types of quizzes with 3 levels each without the final score showing at the end (they have to get the answer correct to move on to the next question).  The submit buttons and image I added to each slide has been working perfectly until I added a text caption with a variable to show "Q X of 6" for each question, with X being a variable that increments by 1 for each slide and then I have another script at the end of each level to reset the variable back to 0.  This is working, however the submit button/success message and image on each slide is now not showing.  The submit button appears to still be on the screen as I can click in the same area where the it should be and it works but appears to be faded completely out, and the success message now shows so lightly I can hardly see it. My image does not show at all now.  I've checked the timeline and they are all set the same, to appear for the rest of the slide.  Any ideas?

    actually I think it might be an issue related to upgrading my Mac from Mavericks to Yosemite as the app was working perfectly before. I stripped all the javascript off and repackaged and it's having the same issue so I don't think it's the javascript. I'm going to keep looking into this.
