Javascript in Dreamweaver - working in the workspace window

I am having difficulty working around javascript in dreamweaver- I've tried "disabling" it, but it still doesn't allow me to inser content underneath it.. Can I insert content (AP divs) under javascript? Excuse my ignorance - I haven't worked with Javascript much.

Why did AME stop working after the last Windows 7 update

AME suddenly stopped working after the last Windows 7 update. After the initial splash screen, I get a message saying that AME is not working and the program will be closed. Then I get the windows message that it is searching for a solution, then nothing. I am using the Production CS6. This happens whether I try to start AME directly, or queuing through Premiere Pro. I have tried reinstalling the entire package and have implemented all available updates from Adobe. I have no clue why this happened, but AME is crucial to my workflow.

Try to delete the following folders and then launch AME:
%AppData%\Adobe\Adobe Media Encoder
%AppData%\Adobe\Common
Make sure to first make a backup of those folders.

Javascript is not working in the published file

Hi ,
I using the javascript in the captivate 5.5 to generate the text from variable in the textbox. It is working when I press the F12 button, But it is not working in the Published file.
I called the function in the button and I written the script in the slide.
Please let us know how to proceed..

Why does "enclosing folder" not work from the SEARCH window?

I do a command+F search.
Command+2 to view as list rather than groups
and then sort by date modified.
When I find the file/folder I want I'd really like to do a command+[up arrow] which in the GO menu is a valid command.
Why does this work in finder windows but not in the search window?
I'm not using spotlight, just the good old command+F
This used to work in Sherlock 1 [using command+E] and when you opened the enclosing window, the file was already hi-lighted, faster to locate and saved mousing.

You'll note that in the Go menu that command is grayed out meaning it's not active in the search results display.
If you upgrad to Leopard then you can go to the Finder's View menu and select "Show Path Bar." The full path to any selected item in the Finder's window will be displayed in a path bar in the lower portion of the window. You can then double-click on any displayed folder to open a window on that folder.

I'm getting a not-quite crash in which I lose ability to interact with the window at all. Is there any way to fix the problem itself? All I can do is an inconvenient "fix" in which I open a new window, and it works in the second window for some reason.

I'm experiencing a not-quite-crash every time I attempt to open firefox on my new computer. What happens is that the menu bar (which I prefer to have visible instead of that orange single-button menu) has all the letters on it turn gray, and I lose my ability to click anywhere on the page, including to close it. If I attempt to close the page via the taskbar it doesn't let me. It does, however, let me open new windows via the taskbar which don't have the same problem, which allows for an easy-but-inconvenient fix. I've tried it out and it does not have the same problem in Safe Mode. As a result of not being a "true" crash I can't give a crash ID, so you won't be able to trace it that way, sorry.

After upgrading to Yosemite I cannot see my other iMac at home (note I am at work) in the Finder window shared devices. Note my iMac at home is connected to an airport extreme (as is my work iMac) and I can see both airport extreme.

Aftger I upgraded to Yosemite I cannot see my iMac at home from my work (i.e in Finder window under shared devices). Note both my work and home iMac are connected to time capsules and I can see both of those time capsules but I cannot see either iMac from the other location. My guess is that the time capsule is blocking the connection to the iMac. One last comment occasionally (5% of the time) my iMac does magically appear in the shared Finder window but this is extremely rare. Any help????

Just discovered this one myself. OK, this may sound silly but place your cursor next to the word "Shared" on the finder sidebar. The "hidden" command "Show" will magically appear. Clicking that will display your other network attached devices.
This appears to be a new "feature" that some freaking genius thought was some how "Cool". My only assumption is that Apple programers expect users to randomly move their cursor around the screen in hopes of finding some critical function like looking for an easter egg in their favorite game.

My ipod touch 4th generation dies after disconnected from the charger, and won't work in the computer (windows). Help would be apreciated!

I hadn't used my ipod for about a week, and when I went to go charge it, I tried to disconnect it. When I did, it just shut off. I tried it with several other charger cords (both car and home), tried pressing power and home but only seemed to work when connected to the power and nothing when not connected, and I'm not exactly sure what the problem is. Do I need some in-depth tech support or what?

Parts missing on PP CS3 workspace window when opening...Weird!

When I open a 1 hr project the opening workspace has missing elements of the window. If I click on some missing elements they appear. Then if the workspace window actually opens properly, clicking on the drop down menus also have missing elements. Then when I scrub the CTI it leaves a trace of every position it was during that move. Then finally, when I go to File>Preferences> Memory it crashes completely and vanishes.Can't render a piece without it crashin
A bit of histry, I replaced the system mobo a couple of months ago and it appears ok after that. Rendered just fine, but for some reason, it's not working now. I swapped the Graphics card and I have removed and reinstalled Production Prem CS3 2x and still the same problem. I can't edit 'cause the cursor "sticks' to the cti or whatever tool I use. I frequently get out of memory warnings and the system appears really sluggish even though I have a Quad Core CPU. The overall application seems like its running on an under powered under memory machine but I have maxed out the mem on this XP 32 bit system.

Any suggestions before I tear it down and rework it !!??

Thanks Hunt. I think I have resoled the major problem.. I simply rebuilt a
new project using files from the original source. I removed all Media caches
and preview files so essentially starting over. Guess what!! Its not only
rendered a 1 hr timeline but mpeg2 encoded too...with all the pieces of the
workspace window accounted for. I have cleaned up my machine using RegCure,
scanned for virus and malware and cross your fingers we're good to go..
In summary, it appears when I replaced the mobo, elements of the composition
/timeline got damaged even though they appear 'normal' on preview. I was
using the same projects that were created before the mobo change.
Well that's my read at this point. So far so good.. Now I have to deal with
Encore and the disc burning issue... Be nice just get the work done instead
of doing battle wit the beast..

I can't resize the reply window in Mac Mail

My mail is working fine.
If I write a new email it all looks okay.
If I reply or forward an email the window is so wide it would stretch maybe 3 times the width of my screen, so if I want to use any of the tools in the top right toolbar I have to drag the window across.
I can resize up and down to make the window taller or shorter but I can't make it fit onto my screen widthways.
I have rebooted, hit zoom and now I'm stumped.
Any suggestions?

In Normal screen mode on Mac OS, resize the application window by dragging its lower right corner.
Click the green Zoom button (), located beside the Close and Minimize buttons at the left of the title bar. The application window expands to fill the screen. Click the Zoom button again to return to the previous window size.
Reposition the application window on your screen by dragging the title bar.

Hi,I have found out the solution:1. Opened Analyzer.jpf file2. Deleted all <table> to <object> html tags. (but didn't delete <object> tag)3. Deleted </table> to </object> from down to up of the file (but did't delete </object> tag)4. Deleted <embed> to </embed> tags.5. Deleted <comment> tag6. In object tag I have added WEIGHT to 100% and HEIGHT to 100%7. Changed parameters from param name=UseFrane value ="True" from "True" to "False".The problem dissapeared. Incompatability with the new Windows 8.1

Yesterday i downloaded the new Windows 8.1 for my laptop and was rewarded with a list of programmes that may have problems working after the download. Hell! Included in the list was compatability issues with BlackBerry Device Manager 7.0 and was told that an update to 7.1.0 was available so i tried to download the update and was rewarded with error messages galore in that this software doesn't work with the new Windows 8.1 and to contact the vendor that i bought the software from. Grrrrrrr! Anybody any ideas please? Help!

Edit workspace window isn't there when I open elements

When I go to open my elements, the workspace window is not there at all, it's an empty space. In fact you can what is behind the elements program. Like for instance if I have my e-mail open than you can see my e-mail. The tool bar is there, so id the bin and the edit presets on the right are there, but main window were you would open for a photo. I have a mac by the way.

Well, that's actually the preferred way for most mac folks, but go to window>application frame.

Keeping the Properties window closed

I have Dreamweaver CS3 and the properties window keeps
appearing. It will *not* stay closed and is driving me out of my
mind. I haven't noticed a pattern, it just randomly shows up on my
screen.
Any suggestions to keep this thing from opening?

Are you talking about Properties Inspector? Why would you
want this closed?

Workspace window position

Hi All ,
This is a general question , I'm using CVI 9.1
I want to know if it's possible to save the workspace files view , lets say i have 5 c files in a project A.c B.c C.c D.c E.c
and at the the workspace window they are viewed at the same order .
If i will close the CVI and reopen the workspace the files order will change.... I want to save it .
It's not a essential this but it can help when i have a project with more then 50 files , Like Now
