JAXB is incorrectly handling the ? DTD sign.

When writing a DTD that has an element that can occur either one or zero times, I have used the ? sign. However, when such a JAXB object is validated, a NullPointerException is thrown if the element is not present. Either this is a bug or I am missing something obvious. Below you will find a snippet of my DTD. I am referring to the "dependency" element. Just wanted to clear it here first before I submit a bug report. Thanks in advance for all help.

I have generated the Java Source file for a DTD using the xjc tool that comes with JAXB .
Now from the Class files i can unmarshall and get the XML file . But in the generated XML output file we don't have the <!DOCTYPE > Element which binds the XML to the DTD .
Is it possible to specify the DTD ? If so Where can we specify that .

Do I need to register this .DTD file somewhere?

In any case, the dtd is incorrect and that may be why. The element structure is at least look like this.

I purchased (rented) a Galaxy S4 through the Edge program, with the $5.00 insurance/protection plan (that the sales associate handling the purchase on the phone recommended),which is no longer valid! 2 months after getting the Edge device, I go to make a claim and Asurion will not honor it because I am not covered; however, all the order confirmation receipts emailed and physically sent with the device show the addition of insurance when I signed up for the Edge program. According to Verizon (via live chat with 'Nicole'), this $5 protection plan no longer exists and the order numbers I have on my paperwork (multiple documents) are invalid in the Verizon system. For over a week, I have spent more than 10 hours on the phone, live chat and in the store trying to get some sort of resolution and the customer service reps just put me on hold or promise to "call me back within 30 minutes after they speak to a supervisor" and (surprise!) they never return my call. Or they send me to the store to show proof of my documents, but then those associates cannot help either. Also, the 'Edge Agreement' in my profile has the wrong device (and serial #), wrong payment amounts and no mention of the 'consumer protection plan' on it, which is listed on the order confirmation sent via email and with the actual Edge device on September 23. Obviously, there was some sort of glitch or mistake on Verizon's part, but NO ONE WILL EVEN TRY TO ACCEPT THAT FACT! WHY WON'T ANYONE GET BACK TO ME WITH SOME SORT OF EXPLANATION FOR ANY OF THIS?! Is it typical for Verizon to do away with a service (i.e., $5.00/month protection) and not inform the customer of this? And is it company policy to be as unhelpful as possible to a paying customer who needs assistance when there is cleary something wrong on your end? And finally, am I really suppose to believe that Verizon customer service has no email addresses or fax machines so a customer can send you proof of what is on the receipt you sent and that I have to take more of my time to go to the actual store?! Finally, does anyone at Verizon even read these messages or even give a F@#k about the customer as long as they keep making money?!

Why the oracle XML parser "parses" the DTD comments?

I always use the header
<?xml version = '1.0' encoding='ISO-8859-1' ?>
to be able to use foreign characters in the XML documents.
The oracle xml parser handles this correctly.
My problem is, when I write comments inside the DTD, the
parser reports "Invalid UTF8 encoding".
Why the parser "parse" the comments? (protected by )
How do I say that the DTD encoding is different from UTF, like
ISO-8859-1?
Example of a correct DTD and corresponding XML, reporting
problems, related to the 2nd comment in the DTD specification,
written with ISO-8859-1 characters.

Is there a efficient manner in adding the elements , rather than adding them individually with the help of appendChild method.

Improving the handling of multiple line text fields is in our plans, but for now, you will have to add manual carriage returns (Enter).

Overriding the DTD reference in XML

I have an xml file which references a dtd within the DOCType tag. The problem I have is that currently the reference is as follows:
file:///D:/castor/castor-0.9.3.21/castor-0.9.3.21/doc/mapping.dtd
which makes it specific to my machine. This file along with many others is packaged into a jar and deployed on a application server. Does anyone know how to make the dtd referrence more generic. i.e how can i reference a dtd which is in the jar file which is deployed to the server.
Currently i think weblogic does this in the deployment descriptors because it references a dtd on the web but gets one locally.
Has anybody got any ideas

i dunno if there is a generic way of writing a SYSTEM uri that would look into a jar, so:
* using DOM, I would create my own EntityResolver that would point the parser to the DTD located in the jar.
* using SAX, I would do the same in the resolveEntity() method of my handler.

As said already, yes you can.
But there is some misunderstandig in your code. If in fact you do have ORA-01422, you second select will never get executed, since the first one will raise that.
You code could be as simple as this:

While migration from 4.7 to ECC in R/3 system,
how to handle the Timestamp datasources( especially FI like COPA and other ) while extarcting the data from source to BW during source system migration.Since we need to empty the delta queue and should make sure that there are no delta records exists in delta queue.
Like for sales datasources using LO,we will be executing the V3 jobs for execting the LUW's from LBWQ to RSA7? In the same way is there any particular way for this also.
Anyone whi knows abt this pls share your views

Hello Shankar.
Before the upgrade (import of a queue), all extraction queues and open
update orders in all clients must be processed. The content of the setup
tables must be deleted. To avoid problems during the upgrade or to
correct them, carry out the following steps:
1. Call transaction SMQ1 and check whether all queues in all clients
(client = '', queue name 'MCEX') have been processed. To process the
queues, start the collective run report for each application in the
displayed clients. If you no longer need the data in the BW system,
deactivate the relevant extraction queues and DataSource in the LO
cockpit (transaction LBWE) and delete the queue entries in transaction
SMQ1.
2. If you use the V3 update that is not serialized (usually only for
application 03): Start collective run report RMBWV303. Then check the
update orders in transaction SM13. If there are incorrect update orders
in transaction SM13, correct the orders and then start the collective
run report again. If you no longer require the update orders, you can
delete them. There may be inconsistencies between tables VBMOD and
VBHDR. For further information about this, see Notes 652310 and 67014.
3. Before the upgrade, delete the contents of the setup tables. Execute
report RMCEX_SETUP_ENTRIES to find out which setup tables still contain
entries. You can use transaction LBWG to delete the contents of the
setup tables for all clients.
Unfortunately the check that the system carries out during the upgrade
or when you import a Support Package does not display all affected
applications. Therefore, Note 1083709 provides a check report that you
can use to determine all affected applications and tables or queues.

I also had a same problem when i was testing Following SSO scenario.
I had deployed my two web application on physically separate machines named A, B.
My Sun Access Manager (IDP) was on Machine say C.
while accessing any page of web Application A from machine B. According to SSO mechanism he asks for SAM login.
Hence Login page of SAM was not rendered properly.After Giving Credentials SAM thrown above error.
I Just inserted the SAM URL. i.e http:///SAMidp in the Trusted sites of Browser.
And It worked fine..

What do you eman with incorrect? You can delete the current account from your device (in Settings > iCloud) and sign in with another one or create a new one.
